3161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: January 26, 2021, 10:26:17 PM
Nice one @boat287, thank you for sharing your experience, you are an evidence that nothing is impossible in achieving your goal as long as you are winning to risk in gambling. Your situation was not a hindrance to be successful, instead you use it on your own advantage.

I like to hear more of this kind of stories, it's very inspiring to know there are few people who actually make a living in gambling.
I'm gonna check the twitter handle your share.

But you still lucky because your girl does not leave you, especially when you lose all of that money.

The ultimate usage for money is security and gambling runs contrary to that but its also a basic human instinct to take risks because every day is full of uncertainty and so we must naturally risk in order to gain.  To deny these basics is to deny our own nature hence it is hard to change from negative gambling into more positive experience.   I would encourage acceptance and consideration of your best self but also your risk taking side; nobody is perfect and when we can find acceptance and balance we will find greater peace and so control in our actions and Im sure your lady has faith you will find this.

That's a realistic approach, if we win we won't be greedy, if we lose we won't lose more than we can afford to lose. I don't like gamblers who always rely on luck, when they win they always aim high, not denying that sometimes it's effective but because of their greediness, time might come that they can't handle the stress anymore due to big loses.
3163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Naoya Inoue vs Michael Dasmarinas (No date yet) on: January 25, 2021, 10:35:21 PM

If somehow Dasmarinas possesses a granite chin like Margarito or Canelo, then absorb the punch and throw something in return that can hurt Inoue and extend the fight in full 12 rounds.

How about the body, I think he also need a strong body otherwise he would feel like what Donaire felt during his fight with Inoue. This guy is now the most popular boxer in Japan, he has the power and the speed, so it's really a tough fight for Dasmarinas here but this tough fight comes with big reward if he wins this game, enough for him to get bigger fights afterwards.

If indeed Dasmarinas can really get out as a winner from this fight, a lot of good things will happen to him.
Inoue is considered to be a superstar right now. So he is fighting a very popular boxer in their generation.
Really interesting if Dasmarinas can really challenge Inoue inside the ring.
I am guessing a lot will bet on Dasmarinas as the odds on Inoue is really not profitable.

It's not profitable if bet on the moneyline but with handicap, probably that's what people are looking into.
Inoue is a knockout artist, probably the best odds are Inoue's KO win in round 1 to round 6, we just have to choose which round we think he would KO Dasmarinas.

There's no fix schedule on when the fight will happen, so no betting odds yet.

However, there are betting odds in the past which we can use as a basis. Let's use the betting odds of Inoue vs Donaire fight.

https://www.oddsshark.com/boxing/inoue-donaire-betting-odds-and-prediction

Quote
Naoya Inoue   -600
Nonito Donaire   +425

Look at that, Donaire is a great fighter and yet he is +425 underdog, therefore Dasmarinas is more than an underdog than was Donaire, probably the odds is higher, so people are right saying that the odds for Dasmarinas is very attractive.

Since this is a mandatory fight of Inoue, this will certainly happen, and according to what I read, it will happen in the first half of the year.
3164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua on: January 22, 2021, 01:57:03 PM
I'm glad after many years they are going to meet, there is a saying to be the best you have to fight the best and whoever wins in this match will become the greatest boxer in this generation, I don't think Fury has an edge over Joshua, it could be even because the fight could go either way because both fighters are capable of dominating a fight.

Fury is better for me because he has fought popular boxers and beat them. Fury had fought Wilder twice, and Wilder was the best heavyweight prior that fight but Fury proven that he is the best, so it's normal that people would think Fury is the better fighter as he is undefeated and have beat champions in his career.

AJ is 24-1, with 22 KO wins, but he lost once, that's the big difference, if he can beat Fury, then people will declare him as the best, but let's see as surely this is going to be a great fight where both fighters have their own fan base.
3165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 22, 2021, 01:32:01 PM
Friday games.

Just like a repeat of games in the previous days, will it have the same outcome?

Brooklyn Nets at Cleveland Cavaliers (+9.5)
Boston Celtics at Philadelphia 76ers (-5)

Such step from Pacquiao really offer opportunities for old and new fighters, they'll now  have that privilege to find a good match not only inside the country but also the chance to fight big names under this sport.

Pacquiao being named as one of the legend all over the world made this promotion to sell out his kababayan, with his effort bringing pinoy fighters outside, not only for the business itself but for the opportunities to open a bigger picture to every pinoy fighters future career inside this world known sport.

It had surely open up into his fellowmen's eyes about this sport that they can really possibly beat up into those foreign countries opponents.
This is already indeed a motivation for most Pinoy boxers to aim for wider and bigger opportunities on trying out those fights which can be seen
as a privileges'. Known that Pinoy boxers arent something that you shouldnt really look down because you wouldnt know on whats coming
when they are already in the boxing canvas.

With good training camp and handled by professionals that are good in the business, I think Filipino boxers will improve and will be competitive in the sport. Manny Pacquiao promotion is probably the biggest promoter in the Philippines and it's not only popular in the Philippines but abroad as well.

Pacquiao maybe retire soon but he will certainly be busy with his life after boxing which is still in the sports of boxing.
3167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Eth able to break its previous ATH within few days? on: January 22, 2021, 12:44:02 PM
I thought ETH has already broken its current ATH.

Looks like there's a little problem as the market is bearish right now.
If only ETH did push to break a new ATH then we might have seen ETH trading at $1500 now, but no, it didn't happen.

With the recent dump, I think ETH will start again but all depend on how bitcoin will move.
Bitcoin just dumped below $30k, not a good sign IMO.
3168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How bad will the bear market of 2021 get? How low will BTC go? on: January 22, 2021, 10:45:52 AM
I don't know if the correction has already started but there's a major dumped happening, bitcoin dumped below $30,000 and it has bounce back a bit. However, I think the trend is already bearish, I am optimistic on the future of bitcoin but I can't deny the possibility of seeing a major correction, I think we will see a price as low as $10,000 this year.
3169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Starve the beast - CSW on: January 22, 2021, 10:36:06 AM
Since it's a scam, it does not help investors but it will only take their money.
Exchanges still are listing BSV because they can make money from it, no doubt about that and until there's no court order to delist this coin, they'll continue to do so. Per record, it's trading volume is over $1 billion (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin-sv/markets/)

Binance IMO has improve their reputation for delisting BSV https://coingeek.com/bitcoin-sv-haunts-binance-ceo-and-causes-need-for-explanation/

I'm not sure when other exchanges will follow.
3170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think DeFi season is going to be just like Altcoin season? on: January 22, 2021, 09:36:12 AM
Smells a lot like 2018 doesn't it?

It does. IMO the DeFi season will continue for at least another twelve months. EVerybody is staking anything possible with the hope to earn tokens that could have some real price. I'm not an exception Smiley

DeFi has some bloodbath today. https://coinmarketcap.com/defi/

That's because bitcoin is dumping currently, and it's affected, the future of DeFi may also rely on the performance of bitcoin, if there's a big correction that will happen, there's no doubt that DeFi projects will be heavily affected as well. We can tell that DeFi is already popular as they already have the list in CMC which currently they are at $27 B total marketcap, and that is huge I believe.

Today was a bloodbath for all, starting with Bitcoin. And alts, of course, to not miss anything, were deep-diving too.

But I think we reached the bottom (for now) an hour ago.

Let's see what's next, I don't think it's already the bottom, correction does not only happen in just one day, it sometimes resulted to a long bear market like in the past, bullish people will not be convince that a correction has started, they'll think it's just a minor shake up and price will eventually rise again. Total marketcap have also dive below $900 billion, it's still too early to say but I have a feeling the correction is over.
3171  Economy / Economics / Re: Out of Reach on: January 21, 2021, 11:12:15 PM
I will just wait until the price will start to dump, then I will start to accumulate,

That was the same mentality most users had when become was below $5000, they wanted to wait for more dump below $1000 or whatever their targets were before they start buying which didn't happen. The issue is no matter what price bitcoin is trading at, people will still be skeptical and wait for further drops before they start buying which might never happen.

Irrespective of what the price of bitcoin is you can accumulate 1 bitcoin if you're determine in owning it. It might take you more time than previous years when bitcoin was low but you'll definitely get 1 bitcoin at the end. Just keep accumulating as many satoshi you can and protect your savings by making use of recommended wallet that gives you control over your private keys.

You can learning trading as well as that's another way to accumulate satoshi through outsmarting the market. One bitcoin is never out of reach, and the sooner you get your hands on one, the better as with time the period for the average joe to be able to afford one will increase.

AFAIR, when bitcoin hit $5000, that was the time when bitcoin was coming from an ATH which is $19k, and yet people are still thinking to accumulate at a lower price, well, it's their decision and they were wrong. For me, since bitcoin reach $40k already, I believe a correction is necessary and it's more likely that bitcoin will dropped below $20k and IMO that's the best timing to accumulate bitcoin, if we will not see the price below $20k, then I'm wrong.

3173  Economy / Economics / Re: NFL Player Salary Paid in Bitcoin on: January 21, 2021, 08:49:30 AM
This says : NFL player ‘paid in Bitcoin’ as price nears $30,000

Bitcoin reached over $40,000, if he sold his bitcoin, that gives him a huge profit, or if his purpose is to hold longer, still good as bitcoin will eventually rise more. I think he should be prepared too if bitcoin will dump, I hope he is knowledgeable enough on bitcoin's volatility as we are talking of huge amount here.
3174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul on: January 21, 2021, 08:17:11 AM
Can we consider to call it some negative chance? There's no way on beating up a undefeated boxer with having that kind of fighting history.

Never ever it comes to my mind or how i would able to take grasp about the possibilities which is indeed equal or less to zero.I dont know on whats on the minds of those who would bet for Logan.

Out of being a pure fan? Theyre just basically wasting up their money into something which is clear as day on whose gonna win unless if you dont mind on losing it
then that wont really be a problem.

If you are making a bet on this match, then you got only two options - either to bet in favor of Mayweather, or to go for Logan Paul. Now the first option may give you negative returns even if Mayweather wins. Because he is having such favorable odds - 1.01 or 1.02. If you deduct the deposit/withdrawal fee, then the net gain will be negative. On the other hand, Logan Paul's odds are in the range of 35 to 50. But his chances of a win are near zero. So essentially, I agree with what you said. Betting on this match is essentially wasting your money.

There's is no basis on your odds computation, you should look at some sources before you make that odds.

I have found one https://www.oddsshark.com/boxing/logan-paul-vs-floyd-mayweather-odds-betting
The following odds are as follows

Quote
Logan Paul vs Floyd Mayweather Odds
Fighter   Odds
Floyd Mayweather Jr.   -1400
Logan Paul   +750

Now, you covert that -1400 to decimal where we are used to.  Using this https://www.aceodds.com/bet-calculator/odds-converter.html, the result is 1.07... so it's not 1.01 or 1.02.
3175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin betting on the 2024 US Presidential Election | Biden+Harris Vs ?? ?? on: January 21, 2021, 07:47:26 AM
Well, it is too early to speculate but I would think Kamala is the one that would be the best bet - if the elections were held today. There are rumors that a third party might be in the works and that would cause some sort of imbalance with the 2 party system if many people supported the third party. So my take here is that we really don't know what the future might bring to America and its people. So we will be checking this thread again maybe in 2 years time.
We will see what will happen in the next years, and if Kamala is one of the best people who can against Biden, we will see more people who will compete for the US Election. But Biden should worry with his ages because he is now is too old to lead the USA, but I hope he can do many things to recover the US situations. Maybe we can see in 2023 before the Election starts, so we can see who will be the candidates.

He maybe old but he is still capable.

As this article says :  Biden Is the Oldest President to Take the Oath

I think it's not really a problem as Biden still looks fit and healthy, he can run the US government as people trusted his capability.
Let us not judge him, let's see what he can do for his first term.
3176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: January 21, 2021, 07:28:31 AM
since they give up their center just to get another star player, they paid a lot for that spot, but now what they are lacking is the center position, I wonder DJ is not that more intimidating than before, defense on the perimeter are slopy, in my view that is not good having star players scoring at will, but forget about the defense on the other side giving the opponents 147 pts, surely other teams won't let it happen with a 3 superstar in the rosters.

Isn't it they still have DeAndre Jordan who is a pure center? Still intimidating to me, but it seems that they are just sloppy playing defence. On the other hand, Sexton really had a break out game, and then the Nets just get tired, their legs are not there in the second OT, they are flat so to speak. The big 3 combine though with almost 100 points. Nash and the team are still in the process of finding the right groove specially in defense as they allowed the Cavs 50% in the 3 point area.

First time Irving blend with the team, he scored 37 points but they still lose. I know people would react considering Cavaliers are not even a playoff team anymore. I hope there's no chemistry issue happening here, Harden is still in triple double but it's very uncharacteristic of him to only have limited shooting attempts. I don't know where they go wrong but if they keep losing, I guess there's already a problem on the chemistry.
3177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin betting on the 2024 US Presidential Election | Biden+Harris Vs ?? ?? on: January 20, 2021, 12:56:11 PM
That's 3 years from now, I think it's too risky to put your bitcoin in a gambling site, we don't know what would happen in that span of time.

What if they will go dark and scam bettors? That's really a high risk for bettors and personally I would not put a bet that early.

I always found the american odds very confusing - at least for the favourites - but it's maybe because I am used to decimal odds and grew up with them.

Same here, I'm glad the bookies I'm using have option where we can choose to display a decimal betting odds.
3178  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best way to sell in 2021 — to buy more on the bear on: January 20, 2021, 10:54:40 AM
Don't hesitate to cash out now if you have already made some profit.
You wait for the price to dump $15k -16K, then you have to believe it will happen.

Actually, as of the moment, most of us are already bullish, we are in the bull market now, so people are so optimistic.
However, expect the unexpected, and that is to see the price dump, and you  will surely have that opportunity to accumulate that low.
3179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 20, 2021, 10:08:27 AM
We have 10 upcoming games, supposed to be 11 but 1 is postponed.

I liked the Spurs vs Warriors.. Warriors playing at home with only -1.5.. What do you think, is it good to back the warriors here?

2nd bet : Memphis vs Blazers.. Blazers only -1.5 at home, should I still go with the home team here?
3180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos ordered by IBF on: January 19, 2021, 11:10:06 PM
Yeah. Even money-line odds are not yet available in popular crypto betting sites. I guess they're still in the process of analyzing the perfect odds for this match. Will just wait for it.
It's easy for them to analyze the betting odds since odds are based on what people think and people think here that Lopez will win easily.
Odds are already out : https://www.oddschecker.com/boxing/teofimo-lopez-v-george-kambosos-jnr/winner

In the list, only 3 fiat sites have offered this betting odds yet.

I checked only one but I'm sure it's also available in the other 2.

here's the odds if you want to bet now ; https://www.paddypower.com/boxing/boxing-matches/teofimo-lopez-v-george-kambosos-jnr-30222482

The betting odds for Lopez  is 1/8 or 1.25  and for Kambosos it's 5/1 or 5.. I hope my computation is correct.

Looking at that kind of odds, I guess 1.25 has a good value though, Lopez win when he was an underdog, he will not likely to lose when he is the favorites.
Simple logic... as long as he trained hard, he will not lose in this fight. Line are not yet available in crypto sportsbook though, I just checked in my bookie.
