2181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 08, 2021, 09:50:13 PM
Game: Boston Celtics vs LA Clippers.

Though Boston here is playing a back to back game, I would still trust them to at least make it a close game and probably win the game.

Therefore my pick is Boston +4  and a little ml bet. Good luck everyone!

In their last 3 meetings, Boston won all the games, so I might agree with this pick but since they are in a b2b game and the Clippers are well-rested, maybe we will see the same thing happen to them against the Clippers. And I'm taking note, this is the first game of the Clippers after their road games, so this should start it with a win.
2182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: December 08, 2021, 09:04:35 PM
Gerry Peñalosa said that Magsayo is a bad match-up for Gary Russell Jr.

Gary Russell Jr. a bad matchup for Mark Magsayo, says Peñalosa

Quote
“Russell is way better than Ceja so it cannot be compared. Russell is on a different level stylistically. He has good footwork and hand speed though if he gets hit by Mark he can go down,” he said.

Well,  he has a point, so this is a good challenge for Magsayo to train harder as this is his best shot to win a belt from a champion.
He is still young though... If he loses his career will not end but it's better if he will win this fight.

Not only his stamina has to be improved, but he also needs to improve his boxing skills as he could not be lucky everyday to score a knockout as he did in his previous fight.
2183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: December 08, 2021, 08:43:20 PM
Now for Butler, he seems not that relying on his pure defensive skills. We will see him exchanging fist with Casimero and I'm sure of that.

And I'm sure there's also a knockout if he would go toe to toe against Casimero. Well, that is better so the fight will end early and since I'm backing Casimero to win, then I would always love to see that kind of action in the ring as I know my man will win.

But that's not gonna happen since if they do that for sure they will get more damage which is dangerous to both of them and I also believe Casimero's opponent will not let it happen knowing that Casimero has a power punch and he proves already that he can knock out his opponent if there's a chance shown, We would provably see a good action here.

Butler also believes in his power, he has 15 KO wins in this career so that tells he can knockout anymore and Casimero should not be an exception as he is not an undefeated fighter. When two boxers are aggressive,  we can always expect a KO and I'm expecting that in this fight, I would not change my prediction.
That's what I like to watch when both boxers are aggressive on which you couldn't really see a fight on whose do involved lots of running and defending.

What makes more thrilling is that both boxers could really give that good damn fight that we are looking for on a real boxing match.

Way more better than to those exhibition shitty fights that we are having in line right now.

Of course, we cannot compare this real fight to exhibition fights as this is not rigged. I mean, fighters are training hard to survive in 12 rounds and win, and getting a belt would bring honor to the boxer's country as this competition is widely recognized in the world as one of the best sports.

Casimero is very popular in the Philippines, he is one of the boxers that the people are hoping to follow the footsteps of Manny Pacquioa.
2184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange or hardware wallet ? on: December 08, 2021, 01:52:20 PM
I am holding my big chunks of coins in hardware wallet but i also hold some of my funds inside exchange because i love to watch the market and see what can be profitable in short term.
so yes i will be finding some good moving project and my funds inside exchange will be for buying and selling purpose .
It was not a big deal which wallet you are able to use unless you know how to take care of it. That exchanges wallet is solely for trading purposes and most of us here are for that reason. But if we just plan for a long-term investment, a hardware wallet is the best choice. However, that was expensive that mostly it holds some holders not to buy it but rather to consider custodial and exchanges wallet available online.
2185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley 2 - December 18 on: December 08, 2021, 06:49:01 AM
Woodley will definitely go for a win and get the money offered by Jake Paul.

Their previous fight was entertaining, I thought he would be able to hurt Jake Paul badly when he hit him with a good shot.
He should make an adjustment, move a lot and be more aggressive, time to give Jake Paul his first loss.

Who's betting on Woodley to win here? And whats the betting odds for this fight?Huh is it out already?
2186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 08, 2021, 06:04:17 AM
Blazers are expected to continue struggling as CJ McCollum suffered a lung injury. Recent reports suggests that it's not as serious as what was initially feared but he'll still be out for a few weeks to recover and get back in shape.
Lillard is out and now CJ is out too... I don't see this team qualifying in the playoffs anymore as they have a lot of catching-up things to do.

Bad timing for Blazers management who might be thinking of trading him for Ben Simmons.
If the injury is not serious, then probably it will not result to a decline of his value, we should not worry about it after all.
2187  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason for the dump in Bitcoin and most of the Altcoin? on: December 05, 2021, 12:49:20 PM
I hope the decline in market prices recovers quickly, hopefully this decline will pass quickly after that there will be a big pump on Bitcoin and Altcoins. I saw that there was a very outrageous event happening on the BITMART exchange, there had been a hack of $150 million in cryptocurrencies.
Another piece of news is that the hackers are hard to track down because they send funds via a mix of Ethereum and Tornado Cash. I think this is the cause of the price of Bitcoin and Altcoin so down, I hope that in the near future the market price will recover with good news about cryptocurrencies.
https://www.theblockcrypto.com/linked/126367/crypto-exchange-bitmart-reportedly-hacked-for-100-million
With the vulnerability of the market to hacking, we can't stop and rid of things like this. May this serves as a heartbreaking scenario that everyone could be the target but I'm sure this is not the reason for the sudden dumps. I suspected that whales are doing this and huge dumps of their controlled coins in order to create such a declining trend. But we don't need to worry, I think as I believe that this won't get long and the recovery commences shortly.

and It is OK to disagree with everyone here because it can not be a healthy Discussion if we all have a one-point view for things and there will be no further engagement on the said topic.

Exactly, we just don't follow because we also have our own analysis and we sometimes see it differently compared to what others see.
By the way, what happened to the line between the Lakers and Clippers game, it opened at LAL +2, and now they are -2.5?
2189  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin on sale, will the support continues to hold? on: December 03, 2021, 08:30:35 PM
Analyst says Bitcoin is 'on sale' after BTC price dips below $54,000

Quote
Bitcoin price is dropping back toward monthly lows, but analysts agree that the current range is a “buy zone.”

Bitcoin's (BTC) downtrend extended a few rungs lower on Dec. 3 after the price dropped under $54,000 and traders will note that the BTC/USD daily chart shows a notable uptick in sell volume.

Investors seem concerned at the emergence of a new COVID-19 variant and hawkish comments from the Federal Reserve. Meanwhile, veteran investment icon Charlie Munger added to the fire by comparing the price action in the crypto market to the dot-com era that ended with the bubble popping.

Strong lower support at $52,000 to $53,000
The “listless” nature of Bitcoin's price action over the past few weeks was highlighted by crypto market intelligence firm Decentrader, who pointed to the choppy price action on lower timeframes and the evidence of a slow downtrend on high timeframes as cause for traders' increased fear “that the bull run may be over.”

The analysts suggested that once BTC breaks out of its current range, “the most obvious support cluster lies around $52,000 to $53,000” near the point where the price broke down during the May crash earlier in the year.

Decentrader said,

“Should we get a deeper correction then a strong support area lies around the 200DMA at $46,200 and at the lower support level of $44,300. To the upside, a significant resistance level lies at the round number of $60,000.”

I guess we are starting to see some people who are panicking with the possibility of bitcoin going down below $50k.

What are your thoughts, will bitcoin support enough to avoid a dump, and if this price will dump, how low it will go?
Since we are done talking with the possible new ATH, then maybe we should not overlook what is happening now.
2190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks and Bitcoin- The needed change on: December 03, 2021, 08:15:06 PM
The bank will be fully in existence and maintained by the government. As long as the system of government of a country is still standing and still needs income and position to remain part of a sovereign country, of course the Bank will continue to be their financial supporter. However, the existence of the Bank will determine a country regarding the financial data they hold, especially if they are tied to the IMF which must always be the responsibility before it disappears to the surface. Banks will always be bound to continuously monitor every incoming financial entity and citizen transactions. So cryptocurrency does not replace Bank, in future Bank may affiliate with crypto to stay afloat.
The government will surely protect them as this will give them the benefits as well. Perhaps, Banks have been back-up by the government which gives the assurance that they won't stop because of crypto. No, they will still exist even the majority are using crypto and as long as not all want to adopt Bitcoin, there is still a reason why banks continue giving their services as there are people who need it.

Banks have always been the most powerful back-up for the government and vice versa. We live among people who like and don't like crypto. Therefore, there will be a balance that will work until the point where banks and crypto can reconcile. But is it possible in the near future? I'm not sure, considering that in the country where I live, the only crypto agency that has contributed to protecting crypto growth is now being pressured by the Bank to audit everyone in it. It's really worrying how cryptocurrency at the end of this year has become something that is often attacked by those who feel excluded. Especially in the country where I live.
They'll only reconcile if crypto will be regulated like banks, I mean, in order for banks to accept crypto, they need to be regulated based on the standing banking regulation so they will comply with the standard banking system, with that said, crypto anonymity will not be enjoyed since banking system requires transparency on clients where they promise to keep that private information of us confidential.

2192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Omicron token gained 900% after WHO name-new variant on: December 03, 2021, 01:57:02 PM
https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/omicron
Total Supply:  2,430
The token is traded on Sushiswap (Arbitrum One).
24h Volume: $ 50,000

If the developers have their own pool and the number of tokens is limited, then the price of the token can be very easily manipulated.
Do not fall for the tricks of manipulators, at least study the statistics of the coin.
Ain't buying now and don't want to fall with this obvious trick. The project never looks that has the potential either.
Well, I don't wonder sooner that these investors will claim for such a big scam in front. Having this total supply, it was very easy to manipulate the price and let these new investors get into the trap.
Anyway, the project is just a joke and I think nobody got the interest buying this.
2193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL, HODL, HODL when can one actually sell Bitcoin? on: December 03, 2021, 11:43:41 AM
It really depends on you when you are going to sell your Bitcoin. If you have bought during 2018, I can tell you that you really made a profit because Bitcoin back then was below 10,000 USD.

In any way, gain is gain. Whether big or small. But I suggest to hold still as Bitcoin will still beat its All-time-high 69,000 USD by the end of this bull run.
Bitcoin tried to break through the $59$ mark but it was very difficult. In recent days prices are still strong above the $53k support. I'm a little worried about this situation. The market seems to be getting saturated. As of this week the price of BTC if it continues to rise it will be above the price of $59k. It seems that some bad news also affects the Crypto market.
We should see it possible to happen, if bitcoin has dump before, it could happen now, but the most important is to believe that bitcoin will eventually recover once it dump and that gives us an opportunity to sell at a profit if we bought at dip.

Many countries are racing to issue money in CBDC, to match Crypto. So some media outlets are taking advantage of making bad news that seems like many countries are banning crypto activity, when that's not the case.
They may do so, but it doesn't kill bitcoin because CBDC is centralized, way opposite to the network bitcoin is promoting.
2194  Economy / Services / Re: Seeking suggestion for NBA parlay betting competition. on: December 03, 2021, 11:15:01 AM
This contest will be more interesting if you will make a minimum amount of bet per parlay so that there will be pressure for all the participants to not bet carelessly but wisely.
This is a good idea, maybe 1 USD equivalent for a single parlay bet is already enough, or we need to fix that to satoshi since the price is moving so it could go up or down from time to time. What matters here is the registration actually, so if the equivalent of registration is let's say $20, I think regardless of your parlay bet, you'll make sure you will try to analyze more before you place your bet.
2195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 02, 2021, 09:59:12 PM
And sure, why not take the under, if they'll dictate the tempo of the game, it will likely go under.
I'm going under as well, the line opened at 213 and now is only 210. that's the implication that people are going under in this game. Choosing a team to win is a bad idea as for me this could go either way since the Bulls are also capable of winning games on the road with a 7-4 record while Knicks are even struggling at home with 5-6.
Well good luck if you don't want to feel the thrill, I will still take the home team tonight, they may not have a good record but overall the Knicks are a decent team and they can surely give the Bulls a tough time liked they did to the Nets, but this time I see different results compared to their game against the Nets.
2196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 02, 2021, 09:38:24 PM
I will take the Suns all day, I trust them so much to cover a high spread especially against a team who are struggling this season. On the other hand, they might also not play hard because they have a game next day and that is a gainst the Warriors that they beat few days back.
Agree. I took the -11.5 for the Suns and I think covering that spread will be an easy task. The only unexpected thing that may happen will be in garbage time if the Suns' bench players make a mess.
I am looking for one more bet but I can't decide if I should take the Bulls -2.5 versus the Knicks or the Bucks -4.5 versus the Raptors. Or just take both if it's really difficult to choose.  Grin
Bulls are healthy and had a long rest, Knicks are having trouble with their chemistry. Bucks are also hot with 8 winning streaks.

It's a pissed off knick team coming in though after getting burned by the refs in the Nets game.  That's a tough game to decide on.  Knowing they will be playing with fire tonight I'd take the under on the Knicks game, this one might be one of those 97-92 type games either way and it's in msg.  I'm steering clear of this game.
I guess the Knicks are going to bounce back after a loss to the Nets, they are only +2 at home, make that an ML bet because they'll likely win tonight. And sure, why not take the under, if they'll dictate the tempo of the game, it will likely go under.
2197  Economy / Speculation / Re: will we witness year end bullrun or bull trap? on: December 02, 2021, 01:43:54 PM
I am in favor of bull run than bull trap, btc is recovering and we are only 30 days away from the year end. This sign of recovering of btc price is the sign that year end is most likely a bull run. Btc back to 57k$ and I think it will not stop  to 57k$ maybe it will go back to 60k$ above or even higher.
Yeah, by the looks of it, it seems like there is a good case this could be a good bull run and not a bull trap at all. I assume that it is going to be something very challenging for many people to realize how easy it is for bitcoin to go up. Many people expected it go down even more, a lot of people sold and waited for a bigger dip so they could buy, but the reality is that we are not going to be seeing anything like that at all.

I assume that there is a good chance we could end with another ATH by the end of the year and that means all those people who sold in order to buy more at lower levels would have to actually watch it get even higher.
We sometimes can't change the mindset of some people to think negatively and get panic once they saw a decline. That's their decision and they usually use this as their basis but the market seems to be unpredictable that most of the time we got wrong. Though we can make such a positive assumption however nothing could be sure about it. It could be a bull trap (very unlikely) or not (we're more on the bullish), we still need to keep our trust.
2198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Microstrategy Buy more Bitcoin on: December 02, 2021, 12:50:07 PM
The micro strategy may be making the right decision at the wrong time, I don't support the idea of buying Bitcoin at every dip it may lead to bigger losses if the dip goes deeper than it was at the time of buying.
That will certainly give you losses if you sell them but if you just hold and wait until the moment it recovers back, you'll be in huge profit then. Perhaps, you don't even make any investment for loose purposes but rather to aim for gains. That I could say that they are right, though not really at its perfect time coz we don't even know when at least they look the market full of earning potentials than seeing negative. In fact, so many big companies and rich individuals are investing crypot now, it means that they foresee their fortune in here.
2199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: December 01, 2021, 09:58:16 PM
Butler has 33-2 record, maybe his fight highlights are not so impressive but he has the capacity to beat Casimero.
His 2 losses are coming from Emmanuel Rodriguez and Zolani Tete, and he has never lose a single fight since 2018 (after his loss to Emmanuel Rodriguez)

I'm excited now knowing that the fight is less than 2 weeks from now.
Hopefully, free live streaming will be shared.

Paul Butler's 33-2 record is impressive but the problem for him is the quality of opponents he had faced. Only Emmanuel Rodriguez and Solane Tete are popular (at least to the boxing world) and he losses to both of them. While Casimero has fought battles all over the world and never loses one, this might be his advantage over Butler IMO.

Some bookies have already the odds, Casimero 1.03, Butler 9.40.
A very huge underdog, I will be waiting for more options as there will be some in the next few days before the fight.

Do you mean crypto bookies? Can you share a site that is already offering the odds now? I checked last night and I could not find a crypto site that has the betting odds yet, so I might be looking at the wrong site.
2200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lomachenko vs Commey - December 11 on: December 01, 2021, 09:41:03 PM
Chances on this match is Loma will win and Commey will just be a stepping stone to get Loma's revenge against Lopez. We will see it soon!
Loma will likely win this fight, but I guess it's not necessary for Loma to take his revenge against Lopez due to the following reasons.

1. Lopez is not the champion now, he lose against Kambasos Jr. which we call a major upset.
2. Lopez is planning to move up, so bye-bye Loma.
It depends, now that both Lomachenko and Lopez are not champions arranging a fight between the two of them should be easier as now they do not have to fight any mandatory fight, Lopez could be more motivated to fight Lomachenko to prove he is still good and to recover some of the money he lost by not accepting a rematch for the titles Lomachenko lost against him.
He did not lose any money because he made a lot during his fight with Kambasos although he lose in the fight.

https://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/id/32301936/george-kambosos-legal-team-asks-ibf-find-triller-default-obligation-title-fight-teofimo-lopez
Quote
According to ESPN, both fighters are set for handsome paydays from Triller's initial USD$1.2 million (AUD$1.68 million) deposit, with Lopez receiving USD$780,000 (AUD$1.09 million) and Kambosos receiving USD$420,000 (AUD$587,000).

And about your second point, it is true that Lopez is moving up a division, but it is possible Lomachenko does the same if he is not given a chance to fight for a title right away and he is avoided by both champions  in that case age could become factor for Lomachenko and he could decide to move up a division as well, in which case a rematch between the two will be almost unavoidable.
That's the scenario I like to see, Loma is going after Lopez to beat him, and I clearly believe he can avenged his lose.
