from what I read, it appears that's caused by the OP_return opcode. apparently it is used for sending data through the blockchain. guess that's why people are having some issues with false positive "virus" warning.

I guess people doesn't consider the transaction on OP as the first transaction because every new block are required to create a transaction to transfer the newly minted coins.

you mean signed message? afaik you can't do that yet.
if you upgraded from the old version you can import the private key to some other wallet and sign from there.

this is like the 10th time I've said this. the moderators are simply users. similar to bitcointalk escrows. you can become a moderator the moment you created an account.

looks like the bot reset without paying again.

possibly the pass was too weak and someone hacked it.  maybe by another person entirely.

also the only way to know if you can recover that account is to ask theymos directly. though I won't expect too much seeing that you can't sign a message.

looks like he went active a month after that (10th april). using different address entirely.
the archived version of seclog only went as far as 10th April 2015 and I can't find any password reset. lutpin found one.

also for those who have issues searching for listings, I just found out that we can search them using external sites like https://bazaarbay.org/ .

there should be something called "filtered listings". turn it off. though there are not many stores online ATM.
