321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rated 6th Among the Top Global Currencies on: February 29, 2024, 04:58:00 PM
How exactly is this "fiat value" measured? Is it measured by gathering the value of all USD banknotes in circulation? The USD and all big fiat currencies aren't just a bunch of banknotes. What about all the fiat currencies that are in the balance sheets of all banks? What about all fiat currencies that are in a digital form, like the money in your Paypal or Cashapp accounts? I think that the USD and EUR are very underestimated by this research. Yes, Bitcoin has a 1 trillion USD market cap, but market capitalization isn't a great tool for measuring the power and influence of any financial asset.
Yeah exactly I have same kind of question, plus they can just print whatever they want, it is not like it really would be devalued all that much, not in the USD case, they printed 50% of their money in the past 5 years and they are still doing fine, it doesn't really feel like that is a good idea to calculate it that way. I feel like the best thing to do in this case would be just allowing most of these to be just made up numbers and not really care about it.

If you want bitcoin to be great in your mind, then it is already great, bitcoin is one of the best assets out there in the world, one of the biggest as well. You do not need these type of stuff to make it work somehow, it just doesn't really make any changes at all, you should consider that as normal.

And this is also one of the reasons why bitcoin will always have edge over them in value because they can be manipulated by the government or its officials in charge, if we don't have a measure to the availability of something, how can we monitor its distributions, we have data information's on the population of the people and we have no limit to the amount of money the government have capacity of printing for proper regulatory, bitcoin is decentralized which they don't like at all, the mining has a specific target and they still dont understand all these are far ahead the fiat currencies they are controlling and cant make account on.
322  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Binance problems with FG intensify on: February 29, 2024, 04:12:10 PM
The government are making a big mistake which is the fact that they are taking a well renown exchange like Binance with a global reputation as the main reason for the collapse in their economy performance, what they would have thought about is if they stops Nigerians from the use of Binance, what about other exchanges, for long can they do this and sustain it, it other exchanges should follow same, what bout the decentralized exchanges who don't even care if something like government exist.

Binace is not the reason for naira devaluation, If they block the use of binance from here, people can use VPN to access the platform, still make their daily transactions and cant only make use of naira p2p, they have alternatives to using other exchanges in their numbers, the CBN issues this same dollars to the BDC men out there to inflate it, other financial businesses are also taking advantage of this the same way the government is currently manipulating the naira exchange rate to USD now, i want to believe that Binance will realized this as a great loss to their business if Nigerians should shift to other exchanges.

323  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Telegram wallet now has p2p on: February 29, 2024, 03:29:16 PM
I use telegram and am yet to see any feature related to that on mine, but just to advise you better on this, i will say that using a telegram generated wallet is an unsafe practice to do, I've also seem some browsers that does so, but you will have to do this at your own risk and i think they could be even more danger to use than the centralized exchanges because you can easily be hacked and these are not wallets they provides you with the private keys to your funds on the blockchain, just be careful.
324  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Is Coinbase the Next Target after Binance For Nigerians on: February 29, 2024, 02:44:41 PM
Before i could say anything, maybe you should first hear out what the Coinbase Boss have to say

https://twitter.com/BTC_Archive/status/1762902467149238493?t=QX6b1x5RQozwEr5ZcnqPig&s=19

I don't know what others are perceiving already about the recent clampdown of the Nigerian government on the use of Binance Exchange as they resulted to the cause of rise ion the USD value is due to the eminent presence of the global centralized exchange called Binance.

Coinbase has made a release on the recent challenges they experience on their platform as a result of over traffic, which means they are receiving a lot of users clogging up their network of recent, could this be that the ban on the use of p2p in Nigeria erupted the decision to many of them in deciding to make use of Coinbase for their trading or something else happened behind the sudden network congestion received by Coinbase.

326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The shocking rate of women interested in gambling. on: February 28, 2024, 01:20:18 PM
Women don't have active participation in gambling, we cannot compare the rate at which they got involved to that of how men are in gambling, only few among them are interested in gambling because they have been so used to it already and maybe they also have a reliable means of finances and they may not want to to miss pout the fun in it.
327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you are not to gamble. on: February 28, 2024, 12:14:21 PM
To regain back your loses

Gamblers make this serious mistake of chasing after their losses by continuing gambling and instead they keep om , making the condition to get more worse because they cant achieve anything from doing so, instead, its time for us to reset and settle down to look for more alternative means or source of income to earn from and recover from our losses in gambling, then we may now apply the right decision by affording to gamble with the amount of what we think is not much for us to loose at the course of gambling.
328  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: February 28, 2024, 11:37:10 AM
I did the 100 push-ups this morning, and I must confess it was not easy to achieve because today is the first time I'm hitting 100 push-ups, but I have to accept the pain to complete the 100 push-ups. I used the strategy of 5 sets of 20 reps to achieve it, and I will stick with it because the strategy makes me achieve it fast. I will try my best to keep up doing the 100 push-ups a day to see how my body will look when bitcoin reaches $100k.
Brother I really understand what you are saying, but you need to understand that it's quite normal that at the beginning of everything in this life, their are always difficulties from the start, if you can maintain it day in day out, then I believe that your body will just get used to it at some point.

Yep.. it is quite likely that any of us who are still alive and a living organism will likely get stronger and be able to do more and more, as long as we do not injure ourselves and/or if we don't have other health conditions that cause us to not be able to exert ourselves in certain kinds of ways.. .. but I think that even a very frail person should be able to so the modified push up such as leaning against a wall or something like that, and maybe they can only do 5-10 in the beginning.. but they can work their way up.

I guess its never too late for me as well in joining for the hundred push ups, maybe i will get more fitness in other to be able to accommodate the coming bitcoin all time high when am well fitted for it, the market is more getting interesting with its performance and we need to have enough preparation in receiving all its coming along with this next bullrun.
329  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of Bitcoin hit a new all-time high? on: February 28, 2024, 10:44:09 AM
As pertaining bitcoin, i don't think we need to crack head ourselves that much on it markets performance when we can get hold of any information on it previous performances from the chart, we also need to remind ourselves that the market is always as volatile as before, we don't have to engage on the way things are going without making use of the resources available to serve as conviction for us to know what direction the market is going currently.

If you discovered that being emotional cost you the loss of games, then as much as possible not to be emotional and try introduce a pattern that could help in the control of this with you, if you're the type that doesn't mind with the way you loose often and considers the emotion as something to be as part of the way of having fun, then you may worry less in this, else, we should put in our very best efforts in having a gambling experience that is the best.
332  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: FG benefiting from dollar rise against naira, Ndume alleges on: February 27, 2024, 10:30:08 AM
They will definitely benefits from it and one of the reasons to show and proof on this more is from the way they manage to manipulate the exchange rate to drop down for just two days and the next thing for it is to reach another all time high of naira devaluation against dollars, another thing to think of is the way they have failed to increase the workers salaries and minimum wages as the whole price of the market has been sporadically inflated, all subsidy removed, no increase in salary or minimum wages as well, they are earning but not giving back to the people to make live affordable for them.

334  Economy / Speculation / Re: The market smells of bitcoin halving. 54 day left! on: February 27, 2024, 09:06:24 AM
The current uptrend in the Bitcoin market appears to be a bull run, but it is not. Basically, most of us know that our bitcoin halving season will start in April and then the price of bitcoin will be more excited. Since the Bitcoin market is currently growing rapidly and its price is changing moment by moment, I can say for sure that the price of Bitcoin will exceed $70,000 before the halving. We know that when of bull's season started in 2021, the price of Bitcoin touched a maximum of $69,000, which was an all-time high for Bitcoin. However, when Bitcoin halves this season, there is definitely a possibility that the price of Bitcoin will exceed $150k. And since the price of Bitcoin has changed a lot in 2024 and moved above $57,000 before the halving, it is expected that Bitcoin will break the 2021 record before the halving. Today the price of Bitcoin has skyrocketed, and soon it is going to touch $60k, so you hold and hold your Bitcoins safely.

Its better we begin to plan ahead right from now about bitcoin halving because we are likely to experience the bullrun now during or after the halving, we can get to a new all time high and this can take no longer time than expected, now the question is whether we are seeing the last all time high of $69,000 before the halving or we are having it back after which the halving already have taken place, another thing to consider is the time for the bullrun, we shouldn't expect this to come in as immediate as after the halving, sometimes it may and other times it may not, we are not likely to also have the bullrun at once, its a gradual process that we keep having new highs until the massive high begins to mark the actual bull season.

336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Have Different Perception Of Gambling Operators on: February 26, 2024, 12:34:54 PM
I just noticed here in our city, that two brothers own different gambling platforms people have different impressions of each one of them, the first one owns a lottery outlet and he is getting respect from people from all walks of life, people look upon him as a giver of luck because many people hit consolations from his Lotto outlet

Photo from Phoenix Lotto FBpage

The other one is the owner of Cockpit Arena and many people despise him because many of their husbands and fathers lose a lot of money and go home empty-handed

I wonder why these two brothers receive different impressions when both are running a gambling platform, honestly, I prefer my friends and relatives to bet on the lotto but I advise them to be careful when playing in a cockpit, because in a cockpit arena, you can wipe out all your money and you end up empty-handed because the games are continuous you have no control and you are tempted to continue playing or lose everything whereas in Lotto you can allocate your bets.

Do you have the same situation like this in your country where gambling operators are not getting the same treatment?

When we are making discussions about gambling, everyone has the right in making the choice of what they want and prefer, there are times that it is our own personal decisions that are of interest to us unlike the ones received as suggestions from others, we can also go for what we have passion for, know about and understand very well, since it is believed that gambling is a form of having entertainment, we can make decision on where to use and how to go about it, this could also be affected by the environment we are living in and the kind of gambling games that are predominant there.
337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anonymity is no longer a benefit of gambling with cryptocurrency. on: February 26, 2024, 11:49:40 AM
If a casino uses kyc, the advantage of using cryptocurrencies is lost in terms of anonymity, as it becomes very easy to trace all transactions and identify the real owner of the cryptocurrency. Therefore, casinos using only cryptocurrencies and introducing kyc destroy the idea of cryptocurrencies

But little do people know that they can as well make use of a gambling casino that does not requires for kyc only by them making enquiry on that, if we really care about our privacy and being well deeply rooted in cryptocurrency, then we should know that our gambling account shouldn't have anything in common to do with the main wallet we are using for our crypto, in other for them not to trace us right from the wallet address to the gambling profile information when our address is being tracked down.
338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump's stance on Bitcoin is changing on: February 26, 2024, 10:54:48 AM
Having previously called Bitcoin a scam, I was really surprised to hear Donald Trump put out some good words about Bitcoin. My question is what really changed? First, he publicly condemned CBDC and labelled it a surveillance tool and now he's saying he can accept Bitcoin. To be honest, I find hard to believe that his comments are genuine. He's a politician and will always talk like one, he's saying all this to garner support for the forth coming election.
He is like a fox, he doesn't like Bitcoin but he knows that he needs votes and does everything to attract as many people as possible to win the election. I hope that no one will believe any of his promises because politicians always lie, they tell lots of lies before the election and once they win, they forget what they were telling. He is a crazy man that tasted the power of being president of the United States and now he does everything to gain that power back.

If he is indeed ready to convince us more better then he should be able to share us his investment portfolio in bitcoin, by this then we will know he is been serious about bitcoin, we cannot say something to others to use when we are not practicing the same, he have to first live by example before we can believe in him, secondly, being a former president and that he lost his chance for re-election back into office alone shows he is a failure and don't think he has something to offer new than how he has been used to.
339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rated 6th Among the Top Global Currencies on: February 26, 2024, 10:10:49 AM
It seems quite unbelievable as we all know that bitcoin is the strongest currency and the top of all currencies bitcoin is becoming the 6th rate among the top global currencies due to its increasing usage day by day. The primary driver behind this price increase can be attributed to increased inflows into BTC spot ETFs. This is very good news for bitcoin. We believe that those who invest in bitcoin this year can earn well.

It may also have contributed although, but i don't think the major reason for that is bitcoin ETF approval, this increase has always been felt over time with massive adoption as the networks continue to grow wider and stronger, maybe we should also focuses more on the needs of the people in desiring for an alternative digital currency that can give them the freedom, control and profitability they want with bitcoin than digital or traditional fiat currency.

It’s remarkable how far Bitcoin has come in such a short amount of time. It will soon climb that list to be higher placed. I genuinely believe that there is a chance Bitcoin’s marketcap could over take the $ in 2025. If not, it’s only a matter of time until that’s the case.

yeah, that's possible for us to achieve with bitcoin in a matter of time, if we can get to this far, the sky cannot be the limit to the way bitcoin adoption, value and worth can go, now it commonly recognized among the top rated valued currencies, assets and the market cap we may experience after halving could be unpredictable because its going to be massive.
