I've had to stop mining for the summer now, just too hot and I moved to a smaller house so the heat inside isn't as easy to get rid of, it builds up faster. Hopefully we all survive the halving, I don't expect to mine at home again until the fall. I contacted a place about hosting my machine(s), but they did not get back to me.

Yea I said the same thing when we started these. If I happened, by some astronomical chance, to solve a block I would totally share some of the reward with the group. Keeps it fun! |

It seems to me that they will be opening up the pool to the public. That is good. We should not let other pools get too big.
Only good if they are not spv mining and not mining empty blocks. I don't think I ever got an answer to that questions previously. |

Well I missed the guessing for this round, but that's find because I think these next couple adjustments are going to be anyone's guess. I mean sure they all have been, but at least if felt like you could logic some stuff out about what is happening. But now with the price exploding and new hardware and all it seems to me almost anything can happen.
My goal when I got into mining a little over a year ago was to have 1BTC to hold onto through the halving and see what happens. I am happy to report that I have a little more than that stashed away, so here's to the continued success of bitcoin and an unknown future!

I think the negative is gear shutting off to make way for the new stuff. My conspiracy theory of a ~30% attack to control difficulty is just that, a conspiracy theory. Realistically I think this is the calm before the storm before the halving.

You can't reset his stats, they come from cksolo pool. He would need to use a new bitcoin address. But I agree, that address should be blocked from the site as it spoils the intention of this "competition".

Looks like the engine just started again and harder then the first time.
I have to wonder if this in intentional difficulty manipulation, or just coincidence. It keeps happening, but seems to be even more pronounced lately. If it is possible to control the network difficulty without a 51% style attack, then I don't think the future of Bitcoin is very bright. |

Gear is turning back on, looks like "they" are aiming for another ~level adjustment period. I think we'll be about like this until the halving as the big guns swap out all the old gear for new.

Well I'm hoping they don't do it here. I've had coin invested here since they started but if their pool spv mines then I'll have no choice but to withdraw it all and look elsewhere. |
