321  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Sync your blockchain easily! on: January 26, 2021, 06:20:02 PM
There is absolutely zero demand for this.

If someone doesn't want to download the blockchain.. simple use a SPV wallet.
If someone wants to download and verify the blockchain, using your method is plain stupid.

I'd not recommend anyone to use that method. Just open up bitcoin core and let it sync.

You are risking your coins as well as any other data stored on your computer.
322  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Anbieter von Bitcoin Prepaid Kreditkarte on: January 26, 2021, 06:08:19 PM

Kurze Rechnung:

Stake sind 350$, also ~290€.
Wenn der Kurs von 0.144$ auf 0.05 fällt -> -65% -> Verlust von 188€

Zusammen also 26€ pro Monat.

Jaxx gives me an error message.

Good to know.
I mean.. who really cares what the error message says, right? The import part is that you are getting one.. /sarcasm

I tried to restore my wallet with Exodus using my 12-word backup phrase [...]

So.. you switched from one horrible wallet to another one.. Not the best way.
Try a proper wallet. If you can't find the desired address / private key, then your derivation path might be wrong.
324  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: So how do i make daily20- 40$ here ? on: January 26, 2021, 05:57:48 PM
The simple answer: You won't.

The more detailed answer: You won't.

If you just came here to earn a few bucks, you are wrong here. This won't work.
If you actually contribute to the forum, either with knowledge or with any other service you can offer (e.g. programming), then you can earn money here. But don't rely on that.
B. Ledger S, an?
Viel gegoogelt und nix gefunden. [...]

326  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory online,Node offline on: January 26, 2021, 05:35:35 PM
When I'm trying to send BTC with the "Auto fee byte"  option checked and "enable RBF" unchecked I'm receiving the message "This is lower than the suggested minimum fee rate of 200 sat/B", I can decide whether I want to continue with this low fee or not. After choosing "yes" simply nothing happens. I decided to enable RBF and up the fee rate to the suggested 200 sat/B, after pressing "Send!" it is just not reacting, seems like Armory is not "receiving" the input. My explanation for this was that RBF is not working by default like I was told earlier in this thread.

RBF is (or at least should) be completely independent from this.

327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 12 weaknesses of Bitcoin & Ethereum ! on: January 26, 2021, 05:29:42 PM
The transaction from "Tempered bitcoin Core" would be signed right, because it would have all private keys of the user that runs the app.

Do you believe bitcoin core is the only full node client around?
Do you believe everyone downloads malware? Do you really think that?

All people that defend open source here claim that "The open source code given compiles to version given". That assumption could not be true. If (in worst case scenario) main ones or all proggrammers decide to sabotage they can get the given oipen source, than add the code for any exploit than give the .exe to public and cash the transactions for one day or one hour in Fiat and all that would be irreversable and ruin trust in btc.

You are talking about "programming" as its something mysterious and magical.
I bet that at least 50% of all people answering here in your thread actually know how to program.

And you could too. Just spend the time you are talking bullshit with reading.

I understand that most people here want to trust, but now the trust is blind trust. Trust that anyone else has checked all and all is fine.

You are wrong. There is no trust.

In my oppinion giving so much power in the hands of so many few (programmers) is really unacceptable. There must be other way to insure reliability.
We do not want to trust a country or a government, but we trust 5-10 programmers. They are fine so far, ... but !!! We are working with billions dollars worth now! And people are corruptable! The temptation of billions $ is too strong for average person or group of people.

They don't have any power at all.
They are just programming a reference implementation. If you don't like it, choose another implementation. As easy as that.

You don't have to trust anyone. Stop talking nonsense, and learn how to read code. And all your problems (regarding trust issues) are gone. Not sure about your other problems tho..
328  Local / Mining (Deutsch) / Re: Alibaba Dreiecksbetrug on: January 26, 2021, 05:24:50 PM

Zumindest was diesen hier erwähnten Betrug angeht.. Höchstwahrscheinlich wirst du alte, bereits benutzte Miner erhalten.

329  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Anbieter von Bitcoin Prepaid Kreditkarte on: January 26, 2021, 05:23:18 PM

Du bekommst bei Tier2 statt 1% -> 2%.
Und bei Tier3 sind es nicht 1.5%, sondern 3%.

Mit 350$ Stake, sind es somit 2% Cashback  Smiley
330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I want to know more about child pay for parent on: January 25, 2021, 09:41:19 AM
[...] it can not work with wallets that can not spend unconfirmed, which can make it useless in such wallet [...]

Then switching to a wallet which gives you the option would be a solution.
Even if you insist on using a wallet which doesn't provide that option such as horrible web wallets (honestly, who still uses web wallets? It is 2021 already) for example, exporting the private key and importing it into a proper wallet would be sufficient to create a CPFP transaction.

333  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory online,Node offline on: January 25, 2021, 09:13:35 AM
I got Armory running now, which gives me some hope. It seems to have the "right" amount of blocks (667530) as well. I can't send BTC though

Why can't you send your BTC ? Any error message?

I guess it's a matter of enabling RBF now. Can you give me a quick guide on how to do it properly?

How do you come to that conclusion?
Did you already send a transaction  and now want to increase its fee afterwards? Because that's what RBF is for.

Whether RBF is enabled or not is completely irrelevant to your wallet software. It can send transactions either way. It is just an optional flag.
334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 12 weaknesses of Bitcoin & Ethereum ! on: January 25, 2021, 09:10:35 AM
About >50% computing power. As I know there were times when biggest pools did more than 5 consequtive blocks - 6 blocks are enough to add transfers of money that did not initiate transactions (not talking about double spending, but about unauthourised transactions in system).

No, you can't simply spend coins unauthorized.
That's not possible.

Without providing the signature or more generally, the unlocking script together with its parameters, an output can not be spent.
I mean.. anyone could create a block which spends such an output without being authorized.. but this block would be invalid and therefore not accepted by every other node. Regardless of whether they have more than 50% hash power or not.

They would fork away from bitcoin and no one would care.
335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 12 weaknesses of Bitcoin & Ethereum ! on: January 24, 2021, 03:29:11 PM
I am not going to watch your youtube video.
If you want a proper discussion, mention your points.

Of the 12 problems there are 2 especially bad:

1st (and 2nd) point states that "almost everything depends on programmers". We must trust them! .. And what if they went rogue - someone threaten them (mafia, governmet, ...) or they lose their head - they can introduce all kind of problems - 1.1 exploits 1.2 different exe than given open source ...

No, you don't have to trust them. You can check the code yourself. Everything is open source.
Further, you don't have to take any .exe, you can 1) verify that each release is signed by the developer and 2) if you don't trust the developer (because of mafia or whatever), compile from source.  No trust required.

3rd states that there were cases in which big pools had >50% compute power .. I do not think that we have any protection against that right now? Or not?

Protection from what?
From them double spending a transaction resulting in bitcoin getting worthless resulting in them losing their whole business model and making all their mining hardware worthless?
There are easier ways to commit financial suicide than that.

337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: If i send someone btc, can they see what kind of wallet i use? on: January 23, 2021, 03:37:39 PM
There is no wallet type stored if you send BTC.
Only a address type and that does not reveal anything about any wallet that was or was not used.

I am shocked to see that much ignorance and stubborn behavior.

If you read the topic closely (i know you can do it!), you will see that the question never was if there is any "wallet type stored".

You might want to first learn about address types and how they work. And then you could stop writing stupid things.
Afterwards, you can start to actually contribute to discussions which are currently way above your knowledge. Until then, it is all spam.
338  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: What risk is there creating a cold storage on a public computer considering... on: January 23, 2021, 03:11:49 PM
probably (or at least potentially) infected public computer.
I'm curious: what are the real probabilities of this possibility to happen?

It is hard to precisely answer this question, since i don't have any numbers.
There might be a study made somewhere, but i am not aware of it.

However, i personally, wouldn't ever trust a public computer to be secure. It is simply too easy to infect them. Anyone can gain access to it.

As ranochigo has mentioned, formatting the hard drive might not be enough. Root kits are horrible to deal with.
And further, anyone can gain access to the hardware. This makes it even harder (than it already is) to be sure about the integrity of the hardware.

I really wouldn't be surprised if there was a relatively high number infected (at least with key loggers).
339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: If i send someone btc, can they see what kind of wallet i use? on: January 23, 2021, 03:05:20 PM
We have 3 options ISP, VPN and TOR. You say now only ISP can. and here you say vpn can too.

Where did is say that?
I gave you an theoretical example where any 3rd person can do that?

And if you are using a VPN, yes.. obviously the VPN provider knows everything about you (and they do make money off your data).

so what do you mean specifically since in any internet situation, provider will know it?

Yo fuck you I don't want people downloading wallet with a virus u shitface

Keep calm little boy.
It is ok to have little to no knowledge. Everyone started there. No reason to be ashamed.

But let me give you a hint: Browser-based software is not recommended for newbies. Too many mistakes can be made.
Further, if you need to ask how to create a browser-based paper wallet generator in a forum, you don't have the capability to do so.
