324  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: November 29, 2018, 08:45:55 AM
i see that i'm the only one with "posts" displayed under my merit and actvity, is this something for the first poster only?
It has nothing to do with that. Not sure why, but it's only visible to the owner of the account.

yeah i was thinking about that after i posted

327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Risers Recommendations on: November 24, 2018, 08:10:14 AM
i just use unpowered risers, i know they are not seen very well here, but i never had any problem

had a bad experienced with unpowered risers, the ribbon types

4 GPU setup Rx480, burnt wire on 24pin motherboard

I've learn the lesson

sound like a tdp problem to me

what is the % return per year with the pos?
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HLM] HELIUM on: October 28, 2018, 08:57:58 AM
shitty value, if i had sold spreadcoin at the peak would have been a better choice..

seems there is a good staking here what the %?

You're still holding spread coins ? I know that a lot of people just bought at the top and probably now they have an useless bag (because that's a useless coin, so to speak)

no you did not read correctly, i sold them long time ago, but it was a mistake seen the value of helium...

333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: October 09, 2018, 08:00:04 AM
I'm working on a faster keccak miner. Have managed 1700MHASH on the 1080ti. Should be able to do 2500 on the 2080ti. (FPGA speeds)

A single FPGA card does 17 Gh/s.
Same power consumption.

what about the cost? fpga is 4x the cost of a 2080 ti if i'm not mistaken, but consumption is equal

costs 4x and is more than 4x faster, same power usage.

yes but with no possibility to mine zero day coin because the reprogramming thing is slower than adding a new algo on ccminer i believe

here mine

will probably sell it(there is no gpu now)

Is there any difference in temp between the bottom group and above one? (I know those additional fans will help to push hot air) I don't recognize, what cards is it? One more thing, is that unpowered risers?

I think that setup will work great on reference cards (AMD) related to the air-flow that will push hot air to one side. Good setup, I like this.

So, you are using two PSU (server and consumer PSU). But my question is, is there any magic trick related to the glass above the PSU?  Cheesy. Good work!

no difference both at 60° with high tamb temperature around 30°, my fan are noctua industrial set at 60% if you set at 80 or above you will never have any problem with heat

my cards were 6 x zotac mini 1070 ti and aorus 1070 ti, i've already sold them, yes unpowered riser, i like to remain with the old fashion, i never had any problem with them and they are less cumbersome

here mine

Looks great. Is that what I see a mini PC? what cards are you using?

Do you sell it because the bitcoin price is too low and electricity cost is higher or you just got tired of this?

what mini pc? ah perhaps you mean that black thing, in the left corner of the picture? that is my gaming pc haf-xb case

yes you nailed it, i can't make any profit out of it anymore, i'm in red with my electricity

btw this is the front

Amph you still around? Been a while since I've run across a post from you. How have things been?

Looks like you had a pretty solid setup and seems like a step up from my old wooden rig frames.

not really mining at the moment just watching what will happen with all this depresion phase

dunno if i would return to mine with gpu seems a waste of time and with fpga around would be a suicide

equihash seems a bit underwhelming, can you tweak it maybe?

339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining performance of Nvidia RTX 2080 Series on: September 22, 2018, 08:29:20 AM
Bunch of reviews out there, however i haven't seen mining performance test so far

OKay, first one: https://www.cryptominando.it/2018/09/19/nvidia-rtx-2080-ti-test-mining-ethereum/

Looks like 2080TI is 48 MH /s with Claymore
Looks like they probably did not use ethlargement enhancement for reporting 1080ti hashrate

Here's the sauce
https://www.computerbase.de/2018-09/nvidia-geforce-rtx-2080-ti-test/6/#abschnitt_ethereummining_ist_nicht_ueberragend

I'm getting around 45-50MH on the 1080ti with the ethlargement enhancement.  The folks that created ethlargement enhancement will need to update it for the 2080tis, perhaps 60 MH after the update and I'm thinking at least 280-300W on electricity.

would be better to have all the algo not just eth, hich is pointless for nvidia to mine anyway...
