^^ Hard to tell at this point it someone is telling Spence to back out of the fight not from the sports media industry but from powerful boxing promoters like Ay Haymon of PBC.

In any case though, all we can do is speculate if Spence really has that eye injury (Eye-Gate) or the training camp is shit or something.

For today's match, I only place two bets on H. Hurkacz vs A. Murray and S. Korda vs S. Tsitsipas matches, Hurkacz and Tsitsipas to win.

I havent really been looking at the ladies match ups yet.
Here are some women's matches that I think will be quite tight:
E. Svitolina vs. A. Kerber
C. Gauff vs. N. Osaka
J. Pegula vs. S. Halep.
Pegula was able to beat Giorgi, who had just won in Montreal, which was quite surprising because in the Montreal semis, Giorgi was able to beat Pegula, but here she defeated from Pegula.

I agree with your mens pick.

For the women's side, there are a lot of unexpected results, like Pegula beating Giorgi, good that I skip this match. And then Garcia beating Stephens as well.

Gauff vs Osaka - I will go with Osaka.

Interesting match to watch is Kerber vs Svitolina - might see some surprises here. Svitolina slight favourite as per odds.
3263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 16, 2021, 04:02:11 AM
Pacquiao should pursue the KO. He is the challenger here after all.
Indeed and its not impossible. Even pacquiao is not getting any younger, he is confident and in condition to fight will all his might. I want to see another KO before his retirement (if he's really going to run for president and win).

On the other side, I think this is the biggest fight for Ugas's boxing career thus if he managed to beat Pacquiao he will be place into a spotlight as one of the boxer who beat Pacquiao before he ended his journey as a boxer.

I think it's not just Pacquiao, but all boxers are always looking to win by KO. But in this case, if it not presented itself then Pacquaio can settle for a UD, a win is still a win. The problem with Pacquiao's opponent though is that once they taste Pacquiao's power, they will go on a full defensive mode because they are afraid that they are going to be knock down or knock out by the fighting Senator.

I slightly dislike(I know, I can be petty) those Twitter people who seems to think that Bitcoin is the answer to literally whatever news-trending problem there is. But "wasted" renewable energy is one good use-case of Bitcoin mining. They contribute to the network, and at the same time they get value in exchange for the supposedly wasted energy. Win-win!
They're trying to hype bitcoin, it's the fault of those ultra fanatics.of bitcoin that exaggerated it's uses and it's purpose to the point that it become the truth/norm for the many. And those Twitter people are all shills, they have somethinng to gain when the price goes up so they use the platform of Twitter to shill for bitcoin.

But have you seen Elon Musk hype Dogecoin?

I don't think it's exaggeration, well you can look it that way, however, in the first 5 years of bitcoin there was no hype but pure attack on it with massive FUD and yet it still stand today. Everyone here is to gain something, whether you like it or not. Youtube, Twitter shills and any other social media, nothing bad about in my opinion, at the end of the day, it's about you, whether you are going to be swayed by this people or not.

Regarding Quebec enormous supply of electricity, then why not? But saying that it is Canada's big hope, I disagree with Saylor. It could be a big help to bitcoin though as there will be power shift as far as bitcoin mining goes.

Medvedev tearing the ATP Masters 1000, his 4th this year against big serving Opelka.

He has a lot of experience against big servers, in the semis he beat John Isner but staying near the baseline to at least have a good angle for a return.

Now it's the Cincinnati Open, Basilashvili vs Fognini, this is the first time that they will meet so obviously, no h2h to look at. But I put my money on Basilashvili ML boosted @1.79. It was around 1.8x when I'm planning to bet, but the odds suddenly change and goes down to 1.74, so I just hurry up and slide my bet. Lots of matches but this is one of those early match that I can still watch on my timezone.

Sport bets results are never regulated/determined by gambling sites but I still see individual gamblers making quite a huge losses in sport gambling which I believe it's abnormal to me and there is need to have a rethink after much losses.

It's not abnormal though, it's the very definition of gambling, you either win or lose. Of course, we re-think of our losses, but you man up, and live to play the game the next day and hope that you can bounce back.

Could this be normal for one to be having consistent losses in sport betting when result is not even determined by betting platforms? I have been reasoning of what could be the reason of such losses or could it be as a result of less knowledge in a particular sport.

What can you do if the team that you are betting did lose? It's part of the game, I have losing streak of 5 losses in tennis betting. Even if I'm been betting in that sports for years, still it's hard to predict the outcome even with years of experience and analysis of the sports. For example, Djokovic who is the huge favourite in the Olympics, but he suffered one of his worst defeat in years. He is the number one player and and obviously, didn't bring home the gold for his country.

The future seems to be bright for ADA, I mean how much percentage year to year that it gave to it's investors already? in xxx fold if I'm not mistaken.

And one of the factors is that Charles is really active behind, giving updates regarding the next iteration like the recent upgrade they did. I'm just waiting for projects to used ADA. For sure we will hear that projects soon. Wallet development is also there, so exciting news for ADA and it's holders.

We wish that it will be Tsitsipas vs Medvedev in the finals in Toronto, that will be a interesting match.
I hope so and don't mean to demean their opponents but it looks like it would be an ideal final.
For all semis match, I guess it will be going for 3 sets, no one will advance to final with easy.
Ranking update, Tsitsipas overtook Nadal and now he is in 3rd position. Source

Nah, it's not happening, Tsitsipas lost a tough 3 setter against Opelka. He had a chance to close it out in the second set, but he made crucial errors in the tie break. And then lost a serve in the 3rd, score 6-4.

So it will be Opelka vs Medvedev in the finals. Medvedev slight favorite in the ML. Over 22.5 might be a good bet 1.74. The finals is possible for a three setter.

Yeah, too bad that the dream match will not happen.

As for the finals, my money will be on Medvedev, yes this could be over with 3 sets to settle the score. I know that Medvedev can handle the power of Opelka and could win on a first serve returns. But again, this is the finals so it won't be that easy as compare to his last match against Isner. And it could be Opelka is tired because of a hard fought 3 sets wins against Tsitsipas.
3269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Moloney vs Franco III: Ordered by WBA (No date yet) on: August 15, 2021, 10:09:12 AM
There was no controversy this time around. Franco was the clear winner. He made the adjustments he needed to make and won the decision. This would've been a great fight to bet on the underdog. People were going off the impression of the second fight where Franco did not look so good because of the eye injury but when he was in good shape in the first fight it was very close.

I'm inclined to bet on Moloney because of that second fight but you are right, Franco did the necessary adjustments to win this via unanimous decision minus the controversy but still a good fight way far better than the Rigo vs Casimero snore feast.

Damn, that could have been a big win for me if a chose the Franco win via Decision, that's 5.xx I think if I'm not wrong.

I didn't see the fight because I was busy watching a boring fight of Casimero vs Rigo, but regarding the odds, I think that was the odds and it's a great odds, especially if you parlay it with Casimero at x6, so you'll get at least x30 odds which gives a big return of your money.

Yeah, all eyes is on the Rigo vs Casimero fight because there's a lot of hype on it, although Casimero win, it's a boring fight as Rigo didn't want to engage toe to toe.

For this fight, Franco did an amazing jab on putting Moloney on the corner and making him very uncomfortable in this fight. As others have said, it's the adjustment and the strategy that him and his team put out to settle with Moloney. A good ML on Franco is already good as he is the underdog. Personally, I didn't bet on this fight. But congrats if someone bet on Franco as the underdog.
3270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: August 15, 2021, 09:41:37 AM
This is not the kind of performance that increases Casimero's value as a fighter. He arguably should have lost the fight. I don't think Inoue will be next. Inoue will fight on New Year's Day in Japan and Donaire seems to be the preferred opponent. Casimero will have to look impressive in his next fight for him to be considered for Inoue.

I think his value still increases as he eliminate on of the champions in this division, so only 3 names remain, Inoue, Donaire and himself. He seems to be very frustrated chasing Rigo, I think the only way to beat Rigo is very technical fighter like Loma, who really stomped Rigo and made him quit.

But a pure boxer who relies on his power like Donaire or in this case Casimero, it will be really difficult because of Rigo's defense.
3271  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $48k the next Bitcoin benchmark? on: August 14, 2021, 10:02:02 PM
Yeah, as we have seen minor dip, I think it even went as low $44k, but look at where the price sits round now, $46k and going up. So still lots of time to get in that $48k levels, but let's see, this week was a wild ride and it seems it might take some time to get to hump and goes to $50k.
That's right, it's all a process and let's see how trader want to make a real $48K-$50K price in August.

That's the price I wanted to see entering the last quarter. Why? Because for sure it will fuel another fomo and we might see a new all time high maybe at $70k-$80k.
I was already preparing myself to feel the new ATH happening this year. I think it's still very realistic to think that it will happen at the end of the year or the beginning of 2022. It is clear that we never know what will happen over the next 5 month as the volatility of supply and demand price is the main reason, but yes we all still have hope to feel something sensational on bitcoin price.

The best thing to do for us is to really save up and continue to stack up sats for the eventual bull run at the end of the year. Also remember that we have another upcoming good news in November, which is the taproot upgrade so I'm still going to be very bullish. Aug $48k-$50k and then September and up to the last quarter, $70k-$80k, new all time high and maybe the price that we all wanted to see, 6 digits for the first time.
3272  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin faces strong resistance to reach $50k? on: August 14, 2021, 09:05:17 PM
This week started with much anticipation for Bitcoin price analysts such as myself with high hopes that we are going to see a 50k Bitcoin price at the end of the week, we saw how Bitcoin price reached above $46k during this week before correcting down to $44k at the moment and the weekend is almost here.
What are your Bitcoin price predictions are we going to enter the weekend in green and what is your price prediction this weekend.

It's possible that the price can breach the $50k level, we are not yet halfway through the month I'm just happy that we finally reached the $40k level so many speculations that it will not reach that level my prediction is price will reach the $50k level and end the month at $52k level, those who bought at $35 level are in good profit now.

Or even those who bought at the lowest low price at $28k-$29k just last month alone, profit is there if we breach $50k at least. We are almost there, but the usual, support and resistance, the push and the pull before we can finally reach it.

This month is still long though, we have many days to do that, we are now again in the $46k levels, but no worries by the start of next week it will be a fresh trading activity for all of us and who knows, maybe we can see a momentum build again to $47k-$48k and stay at that price range.
3273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: August 14, 2021, 08:30:49 PM
Last call for those who have not put their bet yet.

Casimero to win by decision is quite attractive too, but since everyone is expecting that if he will win, he could win by KO, then I think there's a little percentage that he will win if this fight goes to distance.

I hope there's a live streaming link here.  Cheesy
I have already put up bets on 3.  Cheesy

Casimero win
Win via KO
Win via decision.

Yeah it would add up on total bet amount but you can patch up if ever it would hit up that via decision bet.
I did make some balance though. Its indeed attractive but I don't agree that if this fight would goes to distance, he could still able to manage it.

There are no round ranges in the betting odds of sportsbet, I'm looking for a rounds 1-3, 4-6, so on and so forth bet. It's hard to predict in a particular round as Rigondeaux though does not have a high KO percentage is still very active in the ring, I think he is even faster than Casimero.

I'm also looking like in the middle rounds that Casimero will stop Rigondeaux. Timing is more important that speed and since you said that Rigondeaux doesn't have power and Casimero has a good chin, I don't see him putting a dent on Casimero here. The only problem I see is that if the fight goes to the distance, maybe Casimero doesn't have that strength because he also throw big punches that might drain him as the fight goes like 6-12 rounds.
3274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 14, 2021, 11:03:49 AM
It's ok that Pacquiao still wants to do a professional boxing compare exhibition match. Don't want to see Pacquiao vs Logan Paul, Pacquiao vs some Japanese boxer, etc. That's a trash record for his legacy.

Mayweather should just shut up his mouth if Pacquiao still fighting professionally today. If he likes to become a clown fighting personalities outside boxing, then who's more hungry for money now?

Back to topic, I don't see any upset here for Ugas. I'm not underestimating Ugas but that was a reality.

Hoping that Pacquiao will get his belt again. Because it was his belt and they just sent an email to Ugas to claim that belt. Really hilarious! Pacquiao got the belt from then-unbeaten Thurman and WBA just handed the belt to Ugas just like that. How can he fight during the height of pandemic? Wishing that Pacquiao will win via TKO at early rounds so he can shove it to WBA that he is the real owner of that belt.  Grin

He have high chance to get it back since if we look at the stats pacquaio have more wins as well as power to knock Ugas off the ring but for his opponent its questionable if he can able to defeat the legendary fighter. We know Ugas is the currently holding the belt but for experience for sure Pacquaio will prevail unto this fight. It will be amazing if he can K.O Ugas since we can see more fights if Manny succeed to win this match.

Hopefully he can get a KO, but Manny hasn't KO anyone in the last several years so this might be the case here in this fight on Ugas. But we will love to see Manny win whether by KO or UD, that's what we wanted to see him get the belt that he held back 2 years ago. If Ugas tasted Manny's power though, he might react differently and would just cover up and not really go for the win because he is afraid of Manny's power.
3275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 14, 2021, 10:03:32 AM
All eyes have been on the Lakers super veteran team lately so I'm glad the Clippers finally making some news hehe.  I went on to check their roster and found out they still have a lot of veterans that were former all-stars. I'm not that excited to see this team play for next season.

Anyone else who would like to see Rajon Rondo perform like his "bestfriend" Chris Paul?

Rondo would certainly do if given enough minutes, or maybe he is still adjusting as it was his first season with the Clippers and the team relied heavily on the starters. I also thought that Rajon Rondo would be as good as he was with the Lakers, but it did not pass my expectation yet, but I trust this man, I know he still has a lot to share with his team, so I'll be patient with that.

He is already a veteran, he could also be the player that can inspired others as he might give tips and tricks, just like what we have seen him in Lakers. But with the Clippers, his minutes definitely goes down maybe the coach prefer young guys over him or whatever.

But I think he can still contribute greatly to the Clippers and should be given ample minutes again to play with a healthy Kawhi and Paul George.
3276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 14, 2021, 09:32:04 AM
^^ Lol, I'm still if I'm not mistaken break even in betting in this tournament, but it's all good.

Great escape by Medvedev but it was not that easy, I also lost on the Bautista-Agut vs Opelka. I have Bautista-Agut on the handicapped by Opelka was in the zone in the second set tie-break.

So it's now Tsitsipas vs Opelka and then Medvedev vs Isner.

We wish that it will be Tsitsipas vs Medvedev in the finals in Toronto, that will be a interesting match.
3277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 13, 2021, 12:59:52 PM
Korver is a good backup for Harris, if Harris will struggle again, he can of course help because he also has a lot of playoffs experience already. What I'm seeing is that the nets are really competing with the Lakers in getting veterans at a minimum salary, of course, this also gives an opportunity to the veterans to have their championship in their career.

The Nets will sign Korver, not as part of the roster, but as a player development assistant coach. Try to refer to the discussion above.

But even for let's say he signed as a player, there's no such thing as a competition between teams signing veterans. That's weird. Cheesy

The Nets have hired ex-NBA sharpshooter Kyle Korver as a player development assistant coach.

Maybe they really need to hire him as Harris their 3 point sharpshooter was not sharp during the playoffs.

Since 3 point shooting is the game now in the NBA, they need to also improve their 3 point shooting, I know the Nets are already good 3 point shooting but they need some consistency especially in a high intense game like the playoffs where defense is very tight.

Is this Harris first playoff appearance though? I'm asking maybe he is also affected by the gitters of having his first playoffs that's why he was inconsistent with the game against the Bucks.

So adding Korver as a development coach is good indeed for the Nets. Harris though is already a good percentage 3 point shooter, maybe what Korver can bring is to prepare him coming from screen. Or Korver can help the rest of the team in free throws as he also have a good free three shooting during his prime.

I think he has already a playoffs experience as his first two seasons is with the Cavaliers, but maybe he is just a rookie at that time and he was not given enough minutes. https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/harrijo01.html

He played 5 seasons already with the Nets, and only in last season where the Nets entered the playoffs so most probably its his real playoffs appearance with some good minutes.

Here's the playoffs log for complete information.
https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/harrijo01/gamelog-playoffs/

Thanks mate, so yeah, I would consider his last season playoffs was his real test as he was given enough time and role, to be the outside shooter they needed, but unfortunately, when they play on the road in the series against the Bucks, he didn't score that much.

So that's where Korver can teach him as development coach, and partake all the experience he has with Harris to be steady and constant specially on the roads during playoffs.
3278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple still standing on: August 13, 2021, 12:09:13 PM
So why is no one talking about ripple anymore? On this thread weeks back there are many posts about ripple going to its death bed soon because of SEC lawsuits and now everything is just silent, you guys have accepted your defeat or what? Cos ripple is now a winner

It's because there's no hype on Ripple on the last couple of days or months.

But when we finally hear the verdict, whether on their favour or not, for sure it will hug the limelight again and maybe this is what we are all waiting for.

There is no loser or winner here, I'm sure you know that crypto is full of pump and dump and manipulations. If you are a Ripple fanboy then good for you specially if they win against SEC. But what if they lose? just asking. Are you still going to support it?
3279  Other / Off-topic / Re: God and sports on: August 13, 2021, 11:39:17 AM
Often times i have observed players in a soccer team coming together before the start of a soccer match to "pray" before the kick off of their match against an opponent.

I'm always baffled and i need to ask, do you think God involves himself in things like soccer and other sports?

There is no divine intervention in sports, maybe the players and the fans is just looking for something to help them, in this case a prayer, to break them "good luck" and win the game.

However, the outcome is not determine by God or any divine person. And we all know that not just in gambling, but in any other form that we need some certain form of luck, we always pray and hope that it will be a positive outcome or favourable to us.
3280  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $48k the next Bitcoin benchmark? on: August 13, 2021, 11:02:40 AM
The general cryptocurrency market has been exciting, with Bitcoin gaining an all-time high of $46k since may 2021 in April Bitcoin made an all-time high of above $65k before correcting down to below $30k in mid-April.
Will $48k Bitcoin price be achievable this week?
A day passed you asked this question and the market is having a minor correction, expect the market to have its due correction once in a while and you cannot set a target that the market would rally so and so without any correction. I am not surprised with the way the market is moving as you should expect the institutional investors who invested well before the rally started will book their profit.

Yeah, as we have seen minor dip, I think it even went as low $44k, but look at where the price sits round now, $46k and going up. So still lots of time to get in that $48k levels, but let's see, this week was a wild ride and it seems it might take some time to get to hump and goes to $50k.

That's the price I wanted to see entering the last quarter. Why? Because for sure it will fuel another fomo and we might see a new all time high maybe at $70k-$80k.
