2401  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC over 50k? on: March 24, 2022, 12:13:34 PM
but everything can change if big institutions are willing to give encouragement and keep prices from going down at all, with their intervention not to release their deposits into the market, which will actually make prices go down, but instead buy and hold them longer so that prices can be controlled and the possibility to increase could happen.

I don't think that institutional money is the problem though, they have deep pockets so for sure they can buy whatever they want. And I suspect that majority of them is still inside and buying at this dip. I think the problem is the retail investors, like the majority of us here, perhaps some of them are reluctant to invest because of what's going on around the world that reflects on the market downtrend.
It looks like institutional investors have moved big volumes from CEX. Maybe that have created some discussion, but this didn't make big downturn in the market. As said the retail investors participation have decreased for now due to the ongoing war between Ukraine-Russia. By the time usage on the other end have risen drastically with the legalizing of bitcoin by Ukraine and Russian government. This keeps the market stable against the ongoing market imbalance. This gives the sign of forward move.

I think otherwise tough, as I have said, the big movers in the retail investors because although we are small, we are in the majority in the market. I agree that there has been a lot of things going around the world, the war itself has affected all of us because the price of gas is soaring in every direction and we can't do anything. But life must go on, and us as investors should stick to our goal to buy bitcoin for our future. Currently, the price has a good increased to $43k and I would happy if we can just maintain that range, $40k and above amidst the crisis in Europe. And who knows, the price could peak at $50k in the next coming months.
2402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: As big as binance in the future on: March 24, 2022, 11:07:44 AM
I don't know what everyone thinks. But I think that this trend is increasingly pulling me to the DEX exchanges. Without all these identity confirmations and so on, as in principle, it was conceived by cryptocurrency. And of the others, I would mention Kukoin, FTX, and probably Huobi.

My opinion is that centralized exchanges have more opportunities to maintain their exchange coin and accordingly expand the list of services that are available to holders of this coin, which undoubtedly leads to an increase in value. It is thanks to its centralization that we can see how the exchange pumps its exchange coins, which is not available at the moment for decentralized exchanges.

Of course it has a lot of advantages for CEX to have their own token because it can be cheap in the first place if you are going to used it in their own platform. And CZ was quick to realized this that's why he made the move and now his BNB is the best so far and I doubt that there will be any other crypto back up token can be very successful as BNB.

There will definitely be a lot of competitions as mentioned by others, but too difficult to overcome Binance. At this point, BNB has established itself already and what they are fighting is who will be the second best.
2403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: March 24, 2022, 10:23:49 AM
We can speculate but not on the topic if the fight will continue or not. If the fight failed, then it means we are also doomed as the conflict between Russia and Ukraine now becoming more sensitive and dangerous.

The fight between Canelo Alvarez and Dmitry Bivol will surely happen without a problem. No sanctions that it will be a non-title fight.

Let's be positive on that and we just have to share speculations on how they will fight.
The focus of the discussion is more effectively on speculation of fighting strategy in the boxing ring . I think the fight will continue and the team behind the scenes will work fully to find a solution, without sanctions and without changes to the match schedule. Although Canelo is far superior with a record 39 KO compared to Bivol, but Bivol fighting skills are so good lately that he will be the toughest challenger against Canelo in the match on 7 May, I'm not sure Canelo can add a record number of KO in that match, my prediction is that the match will end at the referee's decision.

You mean end it up on the judges hand by scoring the fight? Possible as Bivol has a good chin as well and this is his division so maybe he will have a fighting chance to extend the fight for full 12 rounds. But then again, he will be fighting on Cinco de Mayo, and Mexican holiday so it will be all Canelo Alvarez and I doubt that Bivol will be given the chance to win in the judges score card unless it is very clear that he had won, otherwise many will cry that it was an robbery. So as we have discussed, Bivol will have to win by KO in this match or a very believable win in the judges eye.
2404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: March 24, 2022, 09:35:15 AM
Yes, you're right about that. GGG should finish this fight first against Murata and go home with of course a win on his side to keep up the hype in the upcoming trilogy and in-order to get the people see that he is still compatible and have a chance against Canelo. Also, almost everyone are watching Canelo and GGG if they can give an upset in their respective fights.

Canelo has a difficult task to finish as he will face an undefeated champion in a weight class that he will fight for the first time. The difference is, Canelo is still on prime difference to the status of GGG that's why Murata is just a fair opponent to him.

It will be a good Birthday treat for GGG if he will win the fight. Aside from the win, a ticket for a trilogy with Canelo.

But from what I think, regardless if Canelo will win or not, the trilogy with GGG will happen. But if GGG will lose, the trilogy won't happen due to the fact that he won't stand a chance at Canelo if he can't win over Murata.

That ticket is more than important for him right now, maybe he is thinking of the Canelo trilogy already, but he knows that he needs to finish Murata first in his home town.

Yes, same here, even if anyone of them didn't win, the trilogy could have been sealed already because Canelo has confirmed it already. But it will be imperative if GGG will beat Murata, no more questions about him being prepared for the 3rd fight and no questions on him getting old and no longer at his prime.
2405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 24, 2022, 08:57:28 AM
How about that for the Warriors team? It amazed me with how they took over the game even though Klay and Green were sitting on the sidelines.
They played defense and make it to offense at high success rates. Jordan Poole got the hot hands early game while Wiggins made sure it will end with a bang.
Took a peek at the total stats and surprised it was not far of a difference. They just won with rebounds and freethrows. Good game.

They managed to make a big run where they led in the 3rd up to 4th quarter and won the game nicely earlier. The Miami heat was at their worst since they're not following the instruction of their coach especially Jimmy Butler who wanted to make things right by himself but it didn't work last night which result to their loss. They need to get back on track because as they can see when they aren't performing well due to their ego, GSW Curry and Thompson less will easily beat them.

I was not surprised if the Warriors are going to win, what surprises me is the run they have to do in order to take the lead and increased it in the 4th quarter.

And we have been criticizing Wiggins in his last game, but it seems he get back on track in this games against a tough team with 22 points. Kuminga though played good as well as he is the only one keeping them in the game for the first 2 quarters.
2406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: March 23, 2022, 11:45:10 PM
Ugas isnt a solid hitter but does really have that stamina which you could really count on.I do see this would last in 12 rounds but UD for Spence if he wont able to take him down.

Lasting to 12 rounds and if the fight will be in Decision, Ugas is in trouble.

Even Ugas is the clear winner of the fight, I'm speculating a boxing politics here.

For sure, this is a possibility, judges might favored Spence if this goes to a full 12 round because of boxing politics. Some of judges favored champions to win.

Without a doubt, a big money is expected if Spence vs Crawford will happen instead of Ugas vs Crawford. That's just my speculation but possible to happen. We are not born yesterday to think there's no such thing as that happening behind the curtains.

Yes, it will be a mega-fight if the division, two undefeated champion and still on their prime, all the belts in the line, this will be huge fight. Maybe comparable to Pacquiao vs Floyd and could crack top 10 or even top 5 as far as PPV revenue goes.
2407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 23, 2022, 06:37:50 PM
^^ Brooklyn Nets -1.5 @1.93 currently, I think it's a good odds and I will take it.

But it's going to be a close game though, maybe we will see Kyrie exploding again for another big game and Durant just comfortable to give Kyrie the limelight for this game. Otherwise, he will step up again because Memphis is not an easy opponent.
2408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: March 23, 2022, 05:52:52 PM
Either way as of now, the fight will happen on its scheduled date but the details is not yet fixed if this fight will be sanctioned or not.
Both camps should know the decision if this will be sanctioned or not because their preparation will only be wasted, and it's just wasting money. When they are in training, they give their effort to train hard, and not only that, they also spend money to pay for the venue and the people who work for the respective fighters.

Both camps now are so silent and quite like they are not that worried about the sanctioning of this fight and my personal opinions are that they already know that the fight will proceed as planned date but it's just maybe they are advised to stay silent for now by the bodies because the issues are still hot. They are just finding that right time when to say it because none of them can afford to cancel the fight now.

It could be, but just the same, this fight will proceed the sanctioning body will allow the fight to happen in the US.  Maybe they are silent because they are busy training or just waiting the perfect time to talk about it as the fight gets closer. The sanctioning body will get money on this fight so it's a business, it's their lost if they won't allow their biggest champion to fight.

Breaking news!
https://www.foxsports.com.au/tennis/ash-barty-retires-from-tennis-tennis-news-2022-latest-update-french-open-wimbledon-ashleigh-barty/news-story/0bc29eb5bc08cb48406efa51b19f1953
Tennis player Ashleigh Barty, despite her very young age (25 years), has announced her retirement from competitions.
she is the current number one in the WTA rankings!
Really did not see this coming. She is young, on top of her game and always looks so positive. Big surprise for me.

Bad news never come alone so now it is confirmed that Nadal has cracked rib. Meaning 4 to 6 weeks pause and missing all the tournaments leading to RG where he counted on many points, especially with the form this season. Even RG could come into question. How quickly it all changes in professional sports.

Oh wow, I didn't see this coming from Ash because she still can compete as she is still very young.

And as we have suspected on Nadal, he is injured and that is the main reason why he lost the finals of the Indian Wells. 4-6 weeks is long pause and then he has to nurse himself before the RG. So it's a big disappointment on him, I guess father time is calling on Nadal now, just a matter of time.
2410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you even helped anyone with bitcoin? on: March 23, 2022, 04:53:34 PM
I have been in the same situation last year, but the good thing is that we are still in the bull run that time, so I immediately withdraw some of my bitcoins convert it to fiat and help my family members to settle some medical expenses. I think there's nothing wrong with it, of course our goal is to save as much as we can in the future, but there are things that is behind our control, that we don't have a choice but to take out some from our bitcoin stash.
2411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 21, 2022, 04:13:52 AM
2of4

That's some questionable call from the officials at the last minute of the game between the Warriors vs Spurs.
First was the foul made by the Spurs which should've been a timeout first called by Steve Kerr then the Looney foul from a box out. A big game-changer that turned it over to the Spurs side. Good game for Poole but I was expecting more from Wiggins on the offensive end. I should've added more for his assists + rebounds props.
Cheers guys!

As I have said on the other thread, the referee did really control the outcome of the game.

The NBA should look at it more closely because calling fouls with less than 10 seconds to go? It's good that the Spurs won for those who have bet on the underdogs in this game, but it was very ugly and the breaks went on the Spurs side.
2412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 21, 2022, 03:24:07 AM
The impact without Stephen Curry is already feel by Warriors on there todays match, They are already behind by 9pts of Spurs with 6mins time remaining in the clock on the 4th quarter. RaiP to those who bet on Warriors with negative handicap without checking the roster. I’m surprised how the odds still set up high for Spurs even though GSW is is not complete. I’m very happy for my bet to Spurs. Celebrating in advance and hoping to not jinx it.

I don’t want to jinx you but GSW manage a 9-0 run against Spurs by the time you post this. Thy are already close and the momentum is the GSW side this time. Spurs seems in panic to stop GSW on there quick attacks. I’m with GSW on this match even without SC because thompson and poole is on fire on this match. Goodluck to your bet bud!

But it was an ugly game and GSW lost the game, what was the referee thinking in the last seconds of the game? Calling fouls after fouls, me thinks that they want to influence the outcome of the game?

It was a good comeback and then the whistle came, Wiggins was fouled with 3 seconds left, hitting the first one, he missed the second but on the ensuing battle for the rebounds the referee called a foul on Kevin Looney.

And then Keldon Johnson for the follow, he pushed Otto Porter but there was no foul called.

What about the women's final?

Not sure what to bet, but I just go with my guts over 21.5 with good @1.98 boosted.

This could end up in 3 sets, with a lot of rally from the two ladies, I wanted to go and bet on Sakkari ML, but we will see. Swiatek though is really playing high level so it's hard to bet against her.
Swiatek won the match on direct sets 6-4, 6-1 and this went as a very short game. Sakkari tried hard in the first set and in the second set she wasn't able to come back to the game. With this win Swiatek have moved to the world number two position. Earlier Swiatek and Sakkari have played four matches, among that three matches were won by Swiatek on direct sets. Once again the same have happened.

I watched the high lights of the game, Swiatek is in a roll, winning top 1000 master successively and then getting the number 2 spot in the division. Just the start of the year so I reckon that she can win more tournaments in the calendar. I thought that Sakkari will fight it out, but Swiatek is just too much as she has answered on everything that Sakkari throw at here.
2414  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is getting more bearish, what is the trigger? on: March 20, 2022, 06:20:06 PM
The interesting thing is to always follow bitcoin price movements, when there are too many FUDs it will make investors panic, even those who spread FUDs are sometimes people who have large followers on social media, if we have known bitcoin for at least 1 year we should be able to choose and maintain bitcoin so they don't sell cheaply.

Again, FUD is part of the market, it won't be crypto if there is no FUD, so take that into consideration already. And the market seems to be maturing already, gone are the days wherein the FUD tends to sway the price negatively. Bitcoin is a cycle, the bear and bull, last year was a great year for us because the price goes on a new all time high, but it was also the signal that maybe next year, that is this year, that we might see a bearish trend which is what we are witnessing as the price is just on the $40k.

Gone are the days where Bitcoin are being influenced by fud,

There are more institutional investors who are working inside the market now, giving a tough decision making to those
who wanted to manipulate the market.

People/investors who are willing to buy and hold knowing that the cycle will give them a good return once the market
start to pump back and rally high.

As others have said, the more the merrier and this is what is going on with the market right now. With so many players it's hard to manipulate as each individuals are not willing to collude which each other to influence the price. Nevertheless, it's a survival, only those who are wise, when to invest, when to get out and take the profits will win. And then we have those whales and long term holders who are willing to wait obviously and be a HODLer.
2415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: March 20, 2022, 05:34:14 PM
Ugas is 4:1 underdog still. Very good and attractive odds at this point.

It's understandable that Ugas will remain as an underdog, however, that 4:1 odds for him is quite undervalued for him. I would understand if it's 3:1, but 4:1, I think that is just too much, and with that said, I might consider betting on Ugas. Who knows, upset could happen anytime.

Both are equally talented no doubt about it, good jab, ring IQ and they are almost equal.

But for me Spence has the edge in this fight, although we can think that Ugas has a real shot at Spence, but in the end Spence would prevail in a very entertaining but close fight. The jab will be the key here, both have a decent jab, but the first one that can get and double up will probably have a good score on the judges scorecard.

I decided to stay awake and watch Nadal vs. Alcaraz and now I am regretting it. This match should be postponed, I never saw tennis match played in conditions as windy as this. Most of the points don't even look like tennis. Players are just guessing how the ball will be affected. Seems like Nadal is coping with it a bit better. We just had 4 consecutive breaks of serve in 2nd set, that is something for top 10 ATP on hard court Smiley

I was able to watch the first 2 sets of the match and then... I falling asleep Smiley without edging my bet on Alcaraz.
Double mistake Smiley since I have placed a bet immediately before the first break point of first set!  Undecided
Yes it was definitely a strange match with strong wind. Both players have committed a lot of unforced errors, and in the end of second set Nadal was "pretty confused". I think the lack of experience of Alcaraz weighed... however it's clear he is a strong talent ready to be in top 3 in a couple years.

Didn't see the game, but as what @Trofo describe regarding the condition, at least they could have postponed the match.

Anyhow, Nadal is the better player again, winning in 3 sets. Surprising to see Fritz over Rublev, but I reckon that Nadal will take home the trophy in this tournament. Might be 2 sets win for him in the finals (if conditions are good).
2418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Scams now the second largest in the world on: March 20, 2022, 08:52:14 AM
To be honest almost 99.9% of projects are Rug Pull. They come to the markets to pull money. None of them intend to keep a role in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. And we can't prevent them sadly in a decentralized world. This is something that becomes like gambling because investors sometimes could gain some profits as well. That's the reason how scammers attract investors. If you investigate deeply, you will find a single owner running multiple Rug Pull projects. Because they know very well how to pull money from investors' pockets. That's the reason I always prefer to avoid investing in a brand new project.
That's true, a large amount of projects have a sole purpose of scamming people. Unfortunately, some of such shitcoins are being shown even on CoinmarketCap, as the biggest gainers (often over 200% increase in their value), 99.9% of which are pure scams, coins with zero liquidity that can't even be sold.

Maybe not scamming per se, but just having projects with no purpose at all and be used by some individuals to enrich themselves. Like you have said, there are projects who will suddenly increased even in the 1000% in a single day and obviously this is a trap for non-experience investors and this is where the trap is. And before they realized what had happened, the price goes down hard and they are trap inside.
2419  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc ath february 2022 on: March 19, 2022, 11:44:59 PM
February has passed, unfortunately we can not reach New ATH precisely the price of February has reached $ 33k, which makes me worry because the price can drop under $ 30k, if you see the current trend then I'm sure that New ATH will soon occur because of the market Within 4 consecutive days a positive move.

Or even March for that matter, or make it the whole year. It's because the bear market has come along, now is the time to go long again, accumulate as much as you can and be a holder.

There are factors that really lead to this bear market, the market grew tired of chasing that $100k prediction, no money source to push it further upon reaching all time high last year. So the market retreated, corrected itself and now we are in the current situation that we are in. And with the war still in the background, there's no way that will will go and reach another all time high for this year.
2420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Its not official btc bull run now on: March 19, 2022, 07:35:51 PM
Even the prices going up now its not official btc bull run.
So many newbies think its official but its not official bull run as old members knows this month is not official bull run

Maybe this is just a mini bull run, we have seen this kind of movement in the past so this is not something new to us. But for beginners, yeah, this could be a eye opener for them and thinks that this is the start of another run and we may hit another ATH. So just be very careful of this kind of spike, nothing is permanent in bitcoin, this could end up as a incorrect signal for a bullish trend.
