2421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: March 19, 2022, 07:04:47 PM

Yes, Bivol has the chance on defeating Canelo but only by a decision because I don't see him defeating the latter via KO. It's somehow impossible for me.
I am not sure if this fight will happen. Although boxing fans are looking ahead for this fight but Bivol is Russian. And there are many chances that like many other sports this match will be cancelled as well. But let's hope for the best. In today's time safety of everyone is important than entertainment.

You can go back a few pages back and see that we have touch base this topic already.

We are now speculating on how Bivol can win against Canelo because it will be a very difficult task for him since Canelo seems to be very formidable at 160-175 lbs division, to that point that it seems that no one can beat him right now. So we are laying down potential scenarios on how Bivol can win but it will be a long shot and it's more of Canelo side screwing this up, but we don't see it happening as well.
2422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 19, 2022, 06:31:38 PM
Knicks doing just enough to miss the playoffs this year so frustrating.  Good to see quentin grimes back in I though that knee injury was going to be an acl.  Need to move on from Julius Randle though, let rj take the wheel.

I do agree, with Julius Randle game this season? He should take the back seat now, and let RJ take the wheel for the Knicks. Really don't know what happen to him as his game was very different last year. Do you think that there is a lot of pressure on his shoulder this season to perform even better? Or the team's injury and some piece movement affected Knicks chemistry?
2423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 19, 2022, 06:11:30 PM
Made some mistakes as well, I thought I put a but on the Lakers winning the game early in the second quarter when it was still a tight match, then go back to sleep. so I thought I made a W but when I checked the bet was not there. Anyhow, we will get back tomorrow for sure.  Grin
Definitely, we will get it back. If not now then the next day. But better now.  Grin
Don't worry, the Lakers are playing again tomorrow vs the Wizards but they're the underdog this time. There's not much to expect on Lakers because they're still inconsistent in their last 5 games but I'll bet on them this time because the last time this two teams have met, Lebron went beast mode and scored 50 with 7 rebs.
Okay, I will give them one more chance using the history of winning against the Wizards and I think Lebron wants to prove something to Kuz and KCP that's why he keeps on dropping bombs on them.  Lakers ML.

Do you guys think there is something wrong with the two early games? It looks like a trap again. Dinwiddie is out for the Mavs but Luka will still be there.
With Bucks, only  Pat Connaughton is registered in injury reports. Well, gotta risk it but it does give me the chills that it may be a trap. I hope not.
Hornets vs Mavs -1.5
Twolves vs Bucks -3.5

Yeah, that's what I noticed about Lebron against the Wizards, it seems that he wants to shut up Kuzma by putting big numbers and winning it for the Lakers.

I have the Lakers at +1.5 @1.98, I think that is very attractive odds so I have take that one already.

Same with the Mavs against the Hornets -1.5 @1.88. So best of luck and hopefully we can recover.
2424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 18, 2022, 09:20:43 PM
I also certainly believe that this Mavericks could stop the Sixers but based on the spreads, I'm not quite sure that they can cover it well even if it's just -3 spread. You know, every .5 spread counts so I'll probably do sime live betting on this game.

Mavericks are the underdog in this game. Looks like Embiid will play because the Sixers are currently at -3.5, so if you really trust the Mavericks to win, just take the moneyline and enjoy the game.

I'm liking that +3.5 line for the Mavs though, I know it's going to be tough for them facing Embiid and Harden on their homecourt, but this guys seems to be thriving under pressure and so Luka is surrounded by good role players. And Sixers have the tendency to let the other teams take the lead early even in the first 2-3 quarter and do the catchup. If they allow the Mavs to take a commanding lead, it might be hard for them to chase and cut the lead because Mavs is good at protecting any margins they have going into the 4th quarter.
2425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alt market today on: March 18, 2022, 08:35:49 PM
Even in fact we will continue to see this cycle in the next few weeks too, there will be times when the bitcoin market and of course altcoin will correct again later. Already a few weeks ago actually the market cycle experienced conditions which I think is the best for the crypto market. Anyone will probably benefit in the medium trade

Yeah, this is a period of correction and retracement, meaning the price will go down without any hesitation and we can't do anything about it but to be a wise investors, buying the dip. Right now it seems that the market is green, then all of a sudden it will go down again. This is what we call a cycle and this could happen p to the end of the year. So we need to be very cautious and maybe it's good to listen to our guts because the market is very unpredictable.
2426  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC over 50k? on: March 18, 2022, 08:14:32 PM
no one is able to make predictions that are definitely right because the current situation is in a very unstable situation, in a stable situation it is possible that predictions can be wrong and out of the real analysis.
bitcoin is currently comfortable in a stable price situation at $33K-$47K and doesn't seem to want to go down at all or maybe even go up.

Yeah, that is a good price level fo bitcoin, if it can maintain that price this year, then good for us. At least it is not that far from the previous all time high and so the chance of climbing up again is very high.

but everything can change if big institutions are willing to give encouragement and keep prices from going down at all, with their intervention not to release their deposits into the market, which will actually make prices go down, but instead buy and hold them longer so that prices can be controlled and the possibility to increase could happen.

I don't think that institutional money is the problem though, they have deep pockets so for sure they can buy whatever they want. And I suspect that majority of them is still inside and buying at this dip. I think the problem is the retail investors, like the majority of us here, perhaps some of them are reluctant to invest because of what's going on around the world that reflects on the market downtrend.
2427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Rematch - JOSHUA vs USYK II (updated thread) on: March 18, 2022, 07:45:13 PM
As much as I respect Usyk and his choices AJ can't wait around forever and if they don't agree to a fight date the deadline for the rematch will probably expire.

Agree. I think AJ should start looking for a new opponent and dont waste time. Usyk has joined civil defense and is protecting his country. It will take a lot of time before war ends, he gets some rest (mentally more than physically), then I think he will help to rebuilt city or do some volunteer work and return to training. As well as it will take time to settle all organizational matters and etc. It will take years before this rematch might happen.

Yeah, he should look for other options now, he need to be active and not wait for Usyk to be available. And so far Eddie Hearn has name four boxers that can potentially replace Usyk.

(1) Deontay Wilder and (2) Luis Ortiz, (3) Otto Wallin, (4) Joe Joyce

But we will see who will be the final pick: (https://www.givemesport.com/87984648-anthony-joshua-next-fight-eddie-hearn-four-potential-opponents-joyce-ortiz-wallin-wilder)
A match with Deontay will generate huge excitement and interest both fighters are coming from losses and they want to make a rebound and they used to be the biggest news in the boxing community until both of them suffer losses, Luis Ortiz is an easy fight Joe Joyce fight is also good because Joyce is a fast-rising star in the British heavyweights, so let's see who will he go, will he go for easy fight or go for a big name.

Well the hype on a Wilder could be greater if they have fought years ago, but since Wilder has lost 2 against Fury already and AJ coming from a lost as well, not sure if they fight will make sense.

So Ortiz or Joe Joyce could be the best option for him, specially the latter. Both of this name has been the front liner and hopefully his camp will choose the best fight for AJ, and maybe it will be good to bring back his confidence before facing Usyk again.
2428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: March 18, 2022, 07:26:22 PM
That's what I noticed about Ryan too, he was really in a hurry at his young age, that's why he become so careless against Campbell and lose focus for a minute and then boom, he was down in the canvass. The advantage of being young is that he was able to get up from that fight and win. But it shows that he has weaknesses already, unlike those other champions in this division who haven't seen the canvass yet. So this fight is a measuring stick for him and Golden Boy to see if Ryan has the mentality to win fights maybe before they put him against the champions like Kambosos or Haney and of course Davis.
2429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: March 18, 2022, 12:08:46 PM
Nadal v Kyrgios

Just as the guys came onto the court I checked the odds on Sportsbet and they
were giving Kyrgios +4.5 @ 1.50 but unfortunately I didnt take it.

Kyrgios had the match there on a plate to win but unfortunately his mental
issues played a big part in his performance. I watched the match and was shocked
at the "Jekyll and Hyde" spectacle. I feel sorry for him but I guess that Nick.

Now to the next bit if business for Nadal....against Alcaraz.

Will Alcaraz be able to beat his Idol in a semi? while obviously Nadal is performing
sub par.

It will be really be very difficult game for both I will assumed, Alcaraz will try to dethrone his idol. But Nadal wanted to remain on top of the game.

So I just decided to put some bet on Rublev -3.5 against Dmitrov, h2h this two are eve. But I think Rublev can survived this match and can cover that handicap.
2430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: March 17, 2022, 08:03:51 PM
I have Sakkari on the womens side against Rybakina -1.5 @1.86 and I'm glad that I took that risk.

She was down early though and I thought that there will be no comeback as the score in the first set was like 3-1 in favor of Rybakina.

But she broke on the next game and then she took control of the game moving forward, score was 7-5, 6-4 in a 2 sets win.
2431  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Russia goes full Bitcoin adoption on: March 17, 2022, 07:11:37 PM
Sanctions can happen to countries that commit acts and violations, sanctions can be given to the economy and products, but not with Bitcoin, that is a big challenge for Europe and the US, if Russia adopts Bitcoin as an Alternative to defend the Russian Economy, it's really possible Russia will win Europe and the US, can't do much in this regard.

But bitcoin can only do things for them, if it is not accepted worldwide then Russia can used bitcoin after all.

That's the advantage of Bitcoin, where the outside world is imposing sanctions on certain countries, Bitcoin can actually save them from those sanctions, I think there is no other way that Europe and the US can do, other than negotiate peace, if Russia adopts Bitcoin completely.

I'm not really sure if this is a good use case, recently we have the pandemic as a good example. But I don't see war as very advantageous to either of the warring party. Yes it is decentralized, but it could not be used 100% as a tool to evade economic sanctions.
2432  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN will rise on: March 17, 2022, 06:38:12 PM
Data is inconclusive, we may have the same data in a bull run just like last year and it seems to reappear again. The only hint is that (a) the increased is due to investors buying cheap bitcoin and then not selling them short term (b) speculators buying them at cheap price and then selling them when the opportunity to make quick money is there, i.e buying at $30k level and then selling them at. $45k.
2433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Passive Income From Staking Stablecoins? on: March 17, 2022, 06:12:47 PM
I would rather invest on coins like BTC instead of stablecoins. Not fan of it, maybe use it to hedge and stop some bleeding if the market is in red, but to totally invest on them like thru staking? I wouldn't take that risk, as I have said, BTC or any other solid altcoins might do it for me. And if I have a lot of money, I wouldn't go will crypto maybe I will have to diversify like educational saving for my kids or stocks and others.
2434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 17, 2022, 05:32:54 PM
We only have one game tomorrow.

Detroit Pistons vs Orlando Magic, the home team is the favorite by -3.
This doesn't look like a fun game to watch, but we have no choice because they are the only game tomorrow.

What's your pick here?

Yeah, was surprised to see just one game for tonight. So I will have to pass on this one.

I love to bet on team when both of this team are in the underdog position or in the handicap of + against a stronger team because sometimes they pulled or took a lead early and then let the other teams makes a comeback. So this might be a ugly game to watch, but if I have to pick, I would go with the Pistons as you have said with that -3.5.
2435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 17, 2022, 11:31:56 AM
I watched a great game. Nets stars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving made league history in the Nets-Magic match. The Nets stars became the first teammates to score over 50 points in consecutive matches. I think the duo will continue their outstanding performance in other matches as well.

But you have to see that Kyrie is not going to play a game in their homecourt because of his anti-vaxx stance. So they won't play together in the games left in the regular games and as far I can remember there are only 3 games left for Kyrie to play. It was really down to wire finished against the Mavs though, it seems that Spencer now is a perfect fit or complement to Luka, and Brunson too playing very well, but he will be a free agent and for sure Mavs may want him to stay.
2436  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $40000 resistance on: March 17, 2022, 10:47:20 AM
I am thinking history is repeating itself, bitcoin reach ATH of $69000, as of that time till now, bitcoin price has been with net decrease. Bitcoin price reach $50000 and later falled below $40000. $40000 is now the present resistance as the price increased above $40000 and decrease below again. What I am thinking right now is that bitcoin market will not favor the buy side and we do not yet know the extent the downturn can be.

What are you people suggesting, is this time to buy bitcoin or a time to just to have sold and wait for another bull market because this time will be more of the bears than bulls while the bulls are turning to bears making the market not to favor the upside.

Please, give accurate information as you are think it can be, we all still know that bitcoin price will rise and reach ATH again.
As a result of unbalanced demand and expenditure, so that bitcoin occurs up and down at a certain price, coupled with other cases that are currently happening make bitcoin corrected until now, so far bitcoin has not shown a correction at the lowest price, this resistance is likely to occur in a certain time, which is caused by events that can affect bitcoin's plunge at its lowest price, but on the other hand this pattern is a new stage of achieving ATH, where in previous years we saw it like that, anything can happen to bitcoin, a volatile market is difficult for us to predict

I think it's more of bitcoin corrected itself having reach a new all time high last year. But I would say that there is still the demand for it, maybe it's just the investors are reluctant that's why we have face big resistance since the start of the year. However, getting above $40k again without any positive news is a good indication that we can still be bouncing around that range for quite some time before we can retest $50k again.
2437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: March 16, 2022, 11:37:53 PM
^^ We speculate that GGG can still pull the trigger, and that he is still the heavy puncher between the two. Although there could be argument that he has tone down his agressive, that's why his trainer is pushing him to go back to his form in this fight in preparation of a Canelo clash. And speaking of Canelo, he said that GGG is talking too much and he wanted to shut GGG's mouth for good.

Did literally Canelo Alvarez said that to GGG? If so, I also want to read or see that video Cheesy That's interesting!

Whooah! Seems that things are getting hot even if the fight is not yet final because GGG still haven't sign that specific contract on fighting Canelo this September as he's busy training for his upcoming fight against Murata. Definitely, it's hard to choose between GGG and Canelo because both of them is really capable on winning.
Maybe this is the source,

Quote
“Yeah, it’s personal. He talks a lot of sh!t,” insists Alvarez. “He says a lot of things. We’ll see.

https://www.boxingscene.com/canelo-on-golovkin-trilogy-yeah-its-personal-he-talk-lot-sht-says-lot-things--164776

This could just be Canelo trying to motivate and fuel his fire for the 3rd fight. As others have said, Canelo is not interested on a trilogy but since GGG has been chasing him for years and bad mouthing him, maybe this is the reason he would agree now.

Thanks for the source, I was really curious though when you said that Canelo said those things.

Nah, I don't think Canelo needs some motivation on this trilogy. My interpretation is he's not giving interest on their 3rd fight, he's only looking forward on adding Bivol on his list but since the was the agreement includes fighting GGG and the fans want it then why not make some more hype to try and sell the fight more. We can remember on the past that he was very vocal that he already defeated GGG and there's no sense on fighting him again for the 3rd time

I reckon that when Canelo sign with DAZN and then GGG followed suit, it's inevitable that the 3rd fight is going to be made. Maybe Canelo anticipate this and have this in mind for years and just decided to ignore the noise as he clean up the 168 lbs division and let GGG do all the barking. But since now that they are close to it, he is not talking about the potential fight in public and what he feels about GGG.
2438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Other valid and serious forums about Altcoins? on: March 14, 2022, 06:44:03 PM
As others have pointed out, this forum: https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?board=48.0. And if I'm not mistaken, it was promoted here years ago.

But I'm not really sure if you can get as good altcoin forum as bitcointalk. This community has been in years already although it was overrun by the so called spam posts because of bounty campaigns, but still you can get tons of information here.
2439  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $40000 resistance on: March 14, 2022, 11:44:57 AM
It was reached in a huge value. The investors at that value of 69k dollars was still holding their bitcoin for the pump. But the thing is their was half the price was reduced from the 69k dollars. It was struggling to reach back of 42k dollars. So it's essential one for the investors at high to keep your holding for the longer period.Incase, you was new trader. Looking this trade means, kindly buy of 2 bitcoin for your retirement.

Or if they didn't sell at the top, it's better to continue to accumulate when the price goes below $40k. Resistance along this price line is very strong, as we're having a difficult time to break it. And if we do break it, the price will not stay that long as short term traders takes advantage and sell to make a quick profit. And with this kind fo scenario, it's better to really just buy bitcoin whenever you can for your retirement or just for your future and for your children's future.
2440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 14, 2022, 10:48:53 AM

As for me, I lost the bet because spread was -3.5 for me and the Nets haven't covered it well, I'm just a point shy from that bet though Grin

Things like that happen, better luck next time, maybe you'll get it right. Nets spread was really tempting, but it turns out a trap for those who took the point spread. Well, maybe next time they'll cover if Irving would play as we can see Durant alone cannot make his team dominate their opponent.

I don't think it's a trap, it that point spread is double digit, then yeah it could be. But -3.5 is really doable. It's that the break of the game didn't favor for the Nets to win big.

Durant has a big game, but the Knicks keeps the game alive and very close up to the final seconds. There is no garbage time, but we can go back to the next game and win.
