2341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 09, 2022, 12:02:52 PM
Utah Jazz just did it recently against the Golden State Warriors. They blow a 21 points lead in that game. Overall, they only win 3 out of their 10 last games.

They blew their lead again on their game today, they were up big in the 4th quarter but they allow the Suns to have a good run, and as a result, they lose the game. This team has no chance in the playoffs if they won't play great defense.

As what we have been saying, the Jazz is good in the regular season games, but when it's playoff times, they choke big time.

And now with just a couple of games in the regular season, they are failing, so what's more if they enter into the playoff now. Probably first round exit for them and maybe this team will have to rebuild or at least make some corrective actions as who is the player they are going to retain and who is going to be traded.

^^ A moneyline bet on Nick doesn't make sense, odds is 1.10.
So I'm going with the -4.5 @1.71, if he is on a roll then definitely Nick is going hard to be stop as we have seen him before. No doubt about his mental issues, but if he has conquered or at least controlled it, maybe he will have a good chance to bag his first tournament win this season.
You guys that play on Kyrgios realize that this tournament is played on clay?? I mean he already has 2 wins this season and that is exactly the same as in last 4 seasons all together. I would not put a penny on Nick while playing on clay. Not saying he is not gonna win but those odds on clay scream handicap against him. At least for me.

Yeah, I know it's on clay, but I'm banking that he can overcome someone who is not a rank player, unfortunately, it was a default match.

But it might be very different in his next match because he will be facing Opelka. So I will have the +1.5 on Opelka @1.97.
2343  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Breakout on: April 08, 2022, 10:59:26 PM
Definitely suffering a retraction right now with price trading below the monthly average.

Right, it seems that we have been retracting this week though, and I would say that we are somewhat again on the bearish trend. Maybe we have reach market exhaustion after a huge jump from $30k levels to almost $50k, sure the bulls has reach some tipping point at this time so they have to relax momentarily. So it's interesting if we can just stay above $40k as this is a very critical support.
2344  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammers show no mercy, this is how serious crypto investment has become on: April 08, 2022, 02:11:03 PM
The Crypto world would have been less risky if every investors have to go through some screening before entering the crypto space and start investing but crypto is 101% free for everyone, mistakes will be made, projects will be hacked and so on but only those who learn from their mistakes will have a place in this crypto world.

And we always remind them of that, specially newbie investors or traders. I was once a victim as well with those so called bitcoin doubler before, I thought that it was real. Nevertheless it is a hard lesson for me as scammers here will be in any shape or form. In short, never trust anyone here as we really don't know who is the individual behind. Maybe you an do your own investigation (DYOR) but it's not a fool proof as well.

2346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: April 08, 2022, 09:37:24 AM
Being great in boxing can bring you a lot of fans so technically he’s a superstar and talented, because of his winning matches it attract more followers for him. Its sad to see someone suffering from a mental illness but its really good that we can see Garcia again to have a fight. I still expect the same thing from him, he’s great, fast and have a good punches, I’m confident that he will remain undefeated here.

What’s the current odds for this match?

There is something that has me very intrigued, how could they determine that he is already completely healthy? In this fight they must accept some kind of proof that he is in full normal health, right? I don't know to what extent they have a certain tolerance to put up with everything that has to do with this type of problem.
Currently, it should be taken into account that this business is driven by a lot of money, that this can make a difference, only that there are some little events that seem to be far above the real sport.

There's no need for him to prove that he is already healthy, the fact that he accepted this fight, means he believes in himself that he can beat Tagoe. We know that his popularity is at stake here, if he loses his fight, he won't have a bright future ahead in boxing.

In my opinion, we still don't know if he has recovered 100% mentally. Although he has accepted this fight, but the boxer they get? relatively unknown to us, maybe is just a get busy fight and a cherry pick for Ryan to look great again in his comeback. But who knows what is the state of his mind in this fight. Besides there is also this ring rust, but elite boxers can just totally shake the effect early and then fight like he has been his situation again. Anyhow, hopefully Ryan is good to go mentally.
2347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] George Kambosos vs Devin Haney - Undisputed Lightweight Title - June 5 on: April 08, 2022, 08:56:57 AM
^^ This is the first time that he will defend his belt and sport bookies might have taken that into consideration that's why he is not the underdog.

However, it might be a good bet for Kambosos fans, maybe he is hype or his win against Teo is just fluke. Nevertheless, it seems that fires have been shot already, they have started their trash talking and George thrives in this environment so let see how it goes for bettors here.

I think both fighters are risking their belt/s in this fight, whoever wins this fight will become the undisputed champion, so it is really a big fight that we should not miss. Kambasos came from an impressive win, impressive because he was the underdog, but we know Haney's previous fight was just easy for him, so let's see if Kambasos will become a problem on him.

Definitely, all the belts are on the line here, unification fight so everyone is tune in here including Ryan Garcia, Davis or even Teo Lopez (although there is news that he will be going up to 140).

The last fighter that gave Haney a hard fight is Linares, a former champion, and Haney almost went down on that fight on the later rounds if my memory serves me right. But he won thru majority decision.
2348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Danger awaits Metaverse coins on: April 07, 2022, 09:15:46 PM
Come to think of it, there is no metaverse project that's completed yet, they are all hanging on to their BETA self, if the bear market comes hard this time around I think metaverse coins will dip so much that the hype won't be no more until a project finally have a complete metaverse tech in action.

Why just Metaverse, we can pretty much say that about all the technologies in the crypto space.
Whether it be NFTs, Dapps, DeFis etc... Every platform will have an impact on it and will face the dump.
But I think that now since the market is recovering a little we might not see the bear trend we were anticipating.
If things keep going like this then may be in the next 2-3 months we might get back to the 60k range.

True, maybe it was selected right now because of the hype around it. The latest one in crypto so obviously it will have that kind of marketing and the potential to make huge profits is there.

But we need to be very cautious as well, because if we have to look and study the hype before, like ICO, IDO, IEO, they all just died down after just a couple of years and the investors just chooses to move on the next one that they can make money. So right now it's metaverse, but the condition might be the same with those in the past that once the hype is gone, it can't recover anymore.
2349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 07, 2022, 11:01:44 AM
^^ Normal Powell already played against the Suns and scored 24 points. So definitely he is back, what everyone is waiting is for Kawhi Leonard. Because we all know that he is the leader of the Clippers. And their chances increases if he is not injured last year. So another great player that we will anticipate if he can play in the play in or playoff with the Clippers.

15-year-old tennis player Michael Kouame slaps opponent at the net after losing in ITF Juniors tournament in Accra. This is very rare to happen in tennis. There is no clear information on what reason the player slapped the opponent. This should not happen and should be heavily punished. Doing such act at this young age is really a bad approach towards the game.

15-year-old tennis player slaps opponent

Damn, I watched the video so it's not clear as to what really happen in the game that might have tempted Kouame to slap his opponent. I haven't seen this kind of disrespect to an opponent physically. There is verbal abuse and that is very common. But for the customary handshake and then you gave your opponent a slap? he should be punished by all cost by ITF here.

Is this the Will Smith effect that we are witnessing right now?  Smiley

And right after the slapping there is a brawl between the two sides. This shouldn't happen at any tournaments, not even in this level. And I agree that sanctions should be served here to teach Michael Kouame a lesson, maybe because he lost the match against Ankrah and it was an upset because he is supposedly the number 1 seed in this tournament.
2351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 07, 2022, 07:30:44 AM
@Distinctin. The promoters might give GGG his trilogy against Canelo only if he gets the victory versus Murata dominantly and convincingly. I am quite certain Canelo will not agree with GGG on anything if GGG wins with a close decision against the Japanese fighter. I reckon it might be a close decision because GGG is old. He will be 40 years old on the day of the fight. Murata is also taller with a reach advantage of 2 inches and he is also younger. The fight will also be in Japan. I will not be shocked if the corrupt judges will give this a split decision for Murata.

Wow, the truth is that I had not thought about that, but you make very interesting points, apart from GGG's age and the difference with Murata, I think that Murata has a slight advantage and it is the so-called "irreverence", perhaps due to the fact of being more I don't have much respect for the experience or the "history or trajectory" of GGG, but I particularly tend to analyze many things and the effect that age has on the sport, and sometimes age has a great influence on being somewhat slower and having more limitations, but this influences a lot in soccer or in a sport where you have to run a lot, but in boxing maybe not, because by keeping the muscles active, the performance can be better or maybe more forceful, I hope that the trilogy will take place , GGG needs it, it would also be an excellent way to close his career with a good winning streak, Murata may take more experience and his career becomes more interesting.

Not just GGG who have to win his fight but also Canelo, and both of them has the chance to be getting upset in their respective fights. We can read more about that in the thread made to them "Canelo vs Bivol".

I can't really believe that GGG's age is already a disadvantage to him because he's just fighting a 4 years younger Murata and that doesn't mean that the latter is younger then it's automatic that he has the advantage. I think we forgot their background and experience, GGG in age of 36 has achieved and defeated better and stronger opponents than what Murata had of his age now. A boxer or athlete can be slower as their age grows but that process can be slower if the boxer has been continuously active throughout those years.

Well sometimes experience will play along the way, so we will see how GGG's will affect him or not. Hopefully he will still have the body to beat Murata and then we proceed to the GGG vs Canelo because that will be the biggest fight of 2022. Murata will have this so called home court but it doesn't matter if GGG will defy his age and show that he is still in great shape. So it's a road trip again for GGG, and for sure everyone here is excited to see who will win this fight.

At first when there's no news that Canelo and GGG will have their trilogy, I might say that this fight is a regular anticipated one just because GGG is also fighting but when the news came out that Canelo and him will have a trilogy. The fight becomes more interesting because we know that GGG has been calling this for years and now that he had the agreement, all he left to do is beat Murata so that the trilogy will become into reality.

For sure, there's a lot of people that will watch this fight.

Yeah, this fight added 10x of the hype because of the potential of GGG vs Canelo trilogy. But first fans and boxing pundits alike will have to see if GGG, even at his age can still pull the trigger. And this will be a big test for him. Murata is also a good champion so this fight is really going to be a war. Murata wanted to derail the fight of GGG against Alvarez and then GGG need to show something that h has a chance against Canelo but beating a tough fighter in Murata.
2352  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin touched $43k, from $33k in two weeks on: April 06, 2022, 11:23:09 PM
Bitcoin has rallied in early March to date, the bitcoin price has risen to $47K and is steady at $45K. I believe the bitcoin price will rise above $50k again before the Bulls dominate again. If not, the price is still stuck sideways. Let's see how the odds of BTC trend for the next few weeks.
There is a more stable rise to bitcoin for now, the trend shows bitcoin has gradually recovered, although not too big of a recovery caused for now, the chances of bitcoin going forward will improve even more, if the current correction actually recovers completely, the market reaction has shown how difficult it is the coin is back on the green, but bitcoin can prove that correction is a normal reaction to any coin

True, but in the last 24 hours, hmm, seems the price is slowly going down? I don't know what's the reason for it, from $46k to $43k? that seems to be very alarming now. So I don't think that $50k can be reached this month because we just started at the wrong foot already. And hopefully this will not result to the price going below $40k'ish because it could signal another short term bearish trend, in my opinion.
2353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: April 06, 2022, 12:00:59 PM
^^ Thurman is just lurking in the shadows, he just come back from a long layoff and for me his latest win against a balloon up Barrios is not that impressive. He needs to fight quality fighters fight in the division before he can fight for the belt again. So right now, it's Spence, Crawford and Ugas as the top dog and maybe they should fight each other first and then Thurman builds up his resume again before he can fight anyone of them.

Maybe Thurman can fight the loser between Ugas and Spence instead of having a rematch, the winner can move forward and face

Crawford, this would be a good chance for Thurman to aim for the belt if he wins, then waiting for the loser again, then challenge the

overall belt holder. Just a wild opinion though, but for now, everyone's eye is on this upcoming fight. A winner takes all fights that will

add a good hypes to the winner's resume and accomplishments.

Good opinion, but Thurman wants to fight the winner of this fight. Even though Thurman's come back win isn't that impressive but he's still a top caliber fighter and will always worthy to take a shot on the top fighters on his weight division currently.
However, base on this article https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.badlefthook.com/platform/amp/2022/2/10/22926877/keith-thurman-would-love-fight-spence-vs-ugas-winner-next-boxing-news-2022
If Spence will win against Ugas, he might turn down the offer to fight Thurman due to a personal reason.
So, most probably it's gonna be Spence vs. Crawford. But Ugas might not be an easy opponent for Spence. So, he should get pass against Ugas first before we proceed talking about his next fight.

I think us fans would like to see a super fight, Spence vs Crawford should be next.

But it seems that Spence is not that interested though, and would rather move up to 154 lbs and face other champions. Not sure why is Spence trying to avoid Crawford because they are the two best on the welterweight division and boxing fans deserves this fight, two undefeated fighters all belt on the line.

Not sure if he is avoiding it intentionally or just wanted to create hype around it or just waiting to see what is going to be in the table money wise.

And he can't just go and move to the next division, sooner or later it will haunt him not for not fighting Crawford. This fight could define both of their legacy as a boxer. So this fight should be made if he wins against Ugas.

2355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: April 06, 2022, 09:35:15 AM
^^ Why not? but it depends on how much money you are willing to throw on him. I mean smart money should be on GGG. But anything can happen in a blink of an eye and that very attractive odds might sway some gamblers to put money on Murata for an upset by either knock out or judges decision.
2356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: April 06, 2022, 08:37:19 AM
^^ Hmm, not the first article that I read that thinks that Bivol has a good chance to beat Canelo. But it's a prime Canelo that Bivol is going to face, he has been in this division before and can carry his power up to the 175 lbs. So I'm not sure what this boxing writers are saying after all. Of course, Bivol is good no doubt, but he hasn't face any competition such as Canelo so he might be surprise as how good Alvarez is and he might not have a chance to adjust and react to it.
2357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 04, 2022, 03:25:02 AM
You have a good point on this. If GGG by any chance will lose to Murata, do you think he can still attract good money that he's talking about? The likelihood of getting big money is if in case, he will beat Murata. Because the fans will either be rooting for GGG or Canelo, if both will emerge as winners in their respective fights before their match-up. We can't be too confident about GGG's possible win because Murata has also a good boxing record.

I think they can still attract good money even if GGG will lose to Murata since the fight is not just about GGG. Many fans also like to see Canelo and he will be the main reason why it will generate a big money. The anticipated GGG vs Canelo III is a much-awaited boxing scene regardless of what will be the result of their respective fight, GGG against Murata and Canelo against Bivol.

Do some people here really think that Murata will win against GGG? What if Murata won by Decision but it's clear that GGG is the winner? A Knock Out win is the only convincing method for people to see that Murata is a winner.

Then it will be a shame if we are going to witnessed a robbery if Murata is declared a winner even if GGG should be the one to win that fight. But let's see, I think GGG will try to finished the fight early and will go for the knock out so that there will be no home town decision advantage for Murata and not give any chance for the judges to change the outcome of the fight and derail his third fight with Alvarez.

We don't have to worry about that because it's more like an already an assurance that this fight will not be rigged as the Japanese people have been known around the world to be fair and square. I ain't really bothered that an instances like that will happen, but we will also watch closely to it because they're also human being meant to have a mistake.

Aside from that, Murata is really nothing compared to GGG. He doesn't have any advantage aside from his age and that he will fight in his own soil.

And speaking of robbery though, it seems that Murata has gotten the end of the stick as well:

https://www.badlefthook.com/2017/5/20/15669890/ryota-murata-robbed-as-fellow-japanese-standouts-take-home-wins

So we will see and hopefully it won't happen to GGG in Japan. We will never know though, we still have to wait and see if judges are going to be fair. So the only way to control the outcome is for GGG to score a sensational KO.
2358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: April 04, 2022, 02:37:05 AM
With Chris Paul's addition to Suns Roster, I’m sure that they will not gonna choke this time whoever they will face this time around. The current Roster of Suns is very versatile and complete since they already have a leader that can make them think positive when they are in pressure in game. This is there problem last time when they fight Bucks in the finals. They start to struggle when they can’t sto Giannis but Ayton is now good as centers so he is pretty solid inside the court.

Last year they did reach the finals so we can see that they didn't choke but improved this year. And as long as they are healthy they could still go to the finals this year.

But you can't take away anything for the defending champion, I think the Bucks are going to make a run again as Giannis is resting and ready for the playoff. And with that said, Bucks could have a good chance again this year.

I'm going with the Nuggets +5.5 against the Bucks, they are the underdog, but I think the +5.5 will be a good bet for me @2.09. Let's see if I can win back to back.

The Bucks are playing the Mavericks. The Nuggets are playing against the Lakers in what is a must win game for them if they want to have any hope for the playoffs. The Nuggets are getting JaMychal Green back from injury, so that should give them a little boost and they are expected to win so LeBron is backed in a corner with the spread on his side. Might be a game the Lakers are worth betting on. I’m going to try and watch at noon on ABC. Hopefully Westbrook can shoot over 50%.

My mistake mate, I mean the Mavericks +5.5 against the Bucks and it's a good odd and a win for me because they have defeated the Bucks.

James didn't play against the Nuggets, but Davis did. Another good game for him, almost triple double but they feel short. Not sure if there is anyone here who bet on the Nuggets because the line at -3.5 is @1.85 still good odds against a struggling Lakers.

This is very interesting game for me, but I'm leaning towards the Hawks though, at +1.5 which a very attractive odds @2.05.

The Hawks are winning their last 4 and this is crucial games for them at their home court. I'm expecting Trae Young to thrive on this kind of pressure games, this will be another playoff atmosphere tonight.
Cheers bro, you hit it. It's a close game but the Hawks dominate and as you predicted, it is Trae Young who happened to have the hot hands. KD with 55 points but still not enough to win the game. Turnovers are a big difference as I saw a lot of broken play by the Nets with their off-target pass.

Congrats to you as well mate, I know that we felt victims on the last couple of games as we lost our bets, at least we have recovered some today.

I'm going with the Nuggets +5.5 against the Bucks, they are the underdog, but I think the +5.5 will be a good bet for me @2.09. Let's see if I can win back to back.
