2321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The World cup 2022 missed a big business opportunity! on: April 14, 2022, 10:45:04 PM
FIFA could sell Tickets as NFT and ticket owners could resell it again , it could be never lasting business! Personally I would like to have one for my collection! What do you think?

Yeah, but you know some of the business owners might still go with the traditional base on selling tickets right now. But who knows in the future, they might think of this idea. Of course, owners wanted more money, but it could be the old owners doesn't want to take risk right now when all the geo-politics happening around the world. For sure though, in the next 4 years we will see a complete shift to all crypto related including sports.
2322  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto prices crash as threat of war looms on: April 14, 2022, 10:23:59 PM
The "crash" didn't take long, we recovered in a month, all the coins are higher right now, things are looking great. Which means that we should sit back and enjoy the show and learn from our mistakes. If you didn't buy when it crashed, you forgot the eternal truth of investment which is buy low, sell high. When it crashes, you should be buying as much as you can and that is how you make your money.

All the rich investors spend every single dollar they have during the bear markets because they know that bear market is temporary and it will recover and if they invest during bear market, they will be richer during the bull market for sure.
There will always be people who are called "doom callers" who will go out and say bad things about bitcoin and the "I told you so!"s when the prices goes down. However, they are nowhere to be found when the price goes up like this. The reality is that people are almost always wrong about bitcoin being down forever, it will eventually go up, the reality is that it will also go down, and it will keep doing that forever.

The long term trajectory is higher, I believe that it will reach to 50k, then to 100k, then to 500k, then to 1 million dollars one day. This could take a decade to do, but it will happen. We need to learn to accumulate and wait.

And then we are back below $40k once more, so it's a major decline from $48k a month ago to the current price.

So can we say that the war has a small impact on the price today? together with some other factors such as inflation rate?

Short term it seems that the price is still in a swing to go down because of the war itself. It won't be a major crash because we have gotten past that stage already. But the impact can still be felt.
2323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: April 14, 2022, 10:00:59 PM
^^ Still a surprised though that Alcaraz was booted out by Korda, but the match was intense and I thought that Alcaraz can survived this round. But Korda can't be deny though.
...

they both played a high intensity match and in the first two sets they always went to play tie break.
Personally I believe that Alcaraz young age is still evident.
Against savvy or more experienced players it is not the first time that he has struggled to impose himself, just matter of time to see him dominate the field Roll Eyes !?

Experience is still a big factor in tennis and i think he is really missing it. He won a big tournament and came to the next big one and lost in the first round. That is dissapointing,we see this always in women tennis but not always in mens tennis. Also i think he even didnt prepare much for the clay season

Yes, usually we seen this in the women's side, but maybe Alcaraz body is not yet prime for this kind of grueling tennis run specially in clay season.

Still lot of tennis in Monte Carlo.

Fokina's run is still continuing as he will be facing Fritz in the quarterfinals.

This one is good, Sinner vs Zverev and Tsitsipas vs Schwartzman.
2324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: April 14, 2022, 09:42:30 PM
Ok so it's good to hear that Casimero is already in England and going ready to accustomed with the weather.  Just a week before the fight, he needs to settle down now, manage his weight and just get some few sparring session to get him warm. For now, let's assume that everything is in place, Casimero vs Butler is going to happen although there are no odds yet for this fight on the bookies that I usually bet.
2325  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 13, 2022, 11:08:27 PM
BTC shot up past 40k real quick as soon as everybody saw the NYSE opened 'not red'.  Cheesy  So yeah...  It looks like we're going to have a good US session today and right before the long weekend.  The NYSE will be trading a day shorter this week as it will be closed for Good Friday.

But we're not out of the woods yet and I don't trust the price action.  BTC seems to be following US stocks a little bit more than usual lately.  Keep an eye out.

I forgot who among the members says that bitcoin follow the stock market movement. And probably it is still holding true so far. And it was just very uncanny to see the price shoot up to above $40k when everyone thinks that we are in a bear market once again.

Oh well, NYSE will be closed this long week in observance of holy week but not crypto market. So let's see if traders will go and flock crypto and who knows, a possible moonshot to $44k-$45k?
2326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 13, 2022, 10:08:04 PM
I managed to hit all 3 of my bets yesterday. Cavs with the spread. Nets to win outright. Then a multi-bet with the Nets and Wolves winning. I’m not sure who I’ll take today. Maybe the Hornets with the spread and the Pelicans to win outright. I feel pretty good about the Pelicans being able to beat the Spurs, but the Hornets game could really go either way in my opinion. I feel like the Hornets have a pretty good chance to cover the spread though as long as their young guys don’t choke under pressure. I don’t think they will.

Congrats mate, I think you are just a few who thinks that the spread can't be covered by the Nets because of the Cavs height advantage.

But in this game, the Pels are the favorite, but the Spurs young team can't be discounted, just like the last game, they've lost by they were able to cover the +10.5 against the Mavs at a good odds. So I might go with them +5.5 again.
2327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: April 13, 2022, 09:42:42 PM

Casimero needs to have an impressive win against Butler for them to gain more spectators once Inoue and Casimero steps foot on the same ring. Because, honestly Inoue is on a different level than Donaire and Casimero.
And, honestly I don't think Donaire can win this 2nd match.
Inoue's boxing skills is indeed in line with Manny and Canelo, he's probably going to climb to a different weight division after beating these 2 Filipino fighters.
I did not underestimate Donaire or Casimero , but Inoue is just on another level.

Inoue might have that advantage, but knowing how pinoy fighters, the will to win is always inside their heart.

Donaire, with his last impressive win, might change the tempo of this fight. Though he is no longer on his prime now and Inoue

beat him from their last meeting. It will all depends from how both fighters will prepare and how luck will back them up with a good

and solid conversion that will lead them to a knock down win, crossing my finger to witness an entertaining and very aggressive

fight between these two champ!
We've seen their first encounter or fight and that one didnt really disappoint because we've seen that they had give their best and thats one is entertaining which fight should really be
not like on other fights which is boring to look at but thats not the case of their first fight and anticipate that on next or on to their rematch then we would be seeing much more
better since they had prepared something to counter and specially trying to patch up their flaws.

The first fight was really close, and we have to understand as well that it was a tournament, WBSS (World Boxing Super Series), and we have seen the best bantamweight that time and it was Donaire and Inoue. Donaire though fell short and lost, but since then Donaire has won a belt so this clash has more motivation on the side of Nonito to avenge his lost at that tournament and show the world that he is the best bantamweight in this rematch.
2328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] George Kambosos vs Devin Haney - Undisputed Lightweight Title - June 5 on: April 13, 2022, 02:39:48 PM
We have a very interesting poll here it's a very close poll still early to speculate who will be the favorite of the community to win the poll, they are not yet doing a face to face but in their interview, they despise each other and claim that they can deliver a knock out against the other, things will become interesting when they are both physically present in their interviews and do a face-off.

George Kambosos   - 5 (41.7%)
Devin Haney   - 7 (58.3%)
Total Voters: 12

Well, if that is true that they really despise each other and throwing some spicy words like claiming like the one you state above then that would make the fight more intense and interesting to see, I mean I hope that they are not faking it just to market/sell the fight more.

By the way, the poll now is 56.3% still in-favor for Haney while Kambosos got 43.8%

This is going to be very close on odds and who will win here, Kambosos is not a weak fighter, having beaten the man who beat the man, I like both fighters because they want to face the best right away, Kambosos could have opted to face contenders below the top 5 but he wants to get all the title right away, against a very dangerous Haney.
This is going to be a game of strategy and stamina and this is going to be a very close and exciting fight, even the build-up is worth following.

Yes, boxing fans are still divided here, and it's a close vote so far.

So this is a dangerous fight for the champion Kambosos, this is the first defense and it's against a champion as well. But he has the homecourt and it could be advantageous to him down the stretch. I agree that this is going to be a fight with a lot of strategy and momentum shifting and we don't know who will control the fight because of the contrasting style.
2329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: April 13, 2022, 02:08:33 PM

Ripped Casimero photos show he is ready to defend title against Butler

John Riel Casimero posted a photo flexing his body showing that he was prepared to defend his title against Butler.

Trash talk ON! This will going to be hot.

* Probellum recently posted photos of Butler with the caption "Coming for the WBO strap"

* Casimero responds with that photo of him saying "Probellum has posted photos, too. They even have a picture of Paul Butler and they vowed to take my belt. Okay, you just make sure of it because I also plan to remove the head of your boxer, too."

* Casimero called his former promoter Sean Gibbons as "Sean Gay-Bon-E" and ask him to check if the photo posted by him is edited.

This is lol. Cheesy

Lol, at least though, Casimero is seriously taking this fight and there is no issue with the weight already as he is ripped as f**k and thanks to his trainer and dietician making sure that he will make weight.

So fight is on ladies and gents, more trash talk to come as the fight nears the date.

I don't think there is a reconciliation between John Riel and MP now. Damage has been done and from the looks of it, irreplaceable, too bad though, but it is what it is.
2330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 11, 2022, 02:51:36 AM

My early pick. .. I got Spurs ML and Clippers -11.5

1-1.. Got the Clippers but lose to the Spurs, should have bet on the spread only.  Smiley

Anyway, I have some early picks again,

Dallas (-10.5), and Clippers (-10.5).

@ralle14, same pick, good luck to us.

Honestly, I don't feel betting now that the season is about to end, the game could be more unpredictable but based on my observation, the favorites in the betting would usually win and cover the spread because probably they want to bring that momentum in the playoffs or the play-in. So with that said, I would like to say good luck to you because you choose the heavy favorite.

Same here, the game is totally unpredictable as teams starters are being sit to rest and to prevent any injuries entering the playoff.

So I will just sit back and watch the game, but the problem is that there is too much games we have in hand. I have to go back in forth, now the Nuggets and Lakers game are about to end the second half. So yeah, best of luck to those who put a bet tonight.
2331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 11, 2022, 02:10:59 AM
The last day of the NBA regular season is upon us. Not too much to be excited for today. Joel Embiid will likely win the scoring title over LeBron James unless he plays and scores no points today. That’s probably the only thing to watch. TNT will be televising 2 games. Celtics vs Grizzlies and Warriors vs Pelicans. Can’t say I’ll be watching either, but I’m looking forward to the playoffs starting. We won’t get the Nets bs Lakers matchup in the finals I was hoping for, but I’m looking forward to seeing LaMelo in the play-in tourney and hoping Ben Simmons and Kawhi Leonard make postseason appearances.

There are a lot of games today, Sixers won already, Joel didn't play but he will likely win the scoring title, first center for many years to average 30 point or more in the regular season.

Some of the games are blow out though, as they are resting their starters like in Grizzlies vs Celtics, as Ja and the others didn't play in their home court, so Celtics won by a huge margin.
2332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: April 11, 2022, 01:35:44 AM
So I am still hoping Ugas can pull an upset this weekend.
Wow, I think you are the only one here who cheers on Ugas to win. If that would happen, then there's no problem with negotiation of the fight between Ugas and Crawford, and if Ugas will again upset a favorite, that would a 3 straight upset wins for him.

I do believe Spence can win the fight though. And it is happening in Texas, a notorious state when it comes to boxing. And Texas is also Spence hometown. I do not see Ugas winning especially on close rounds. Ugas needs to win rounds clearly and convincingly.

And if ever Ugas do pulls an upset. A 4-belt unification is only easy if Crawford signs with PBC. If Crawford prefers other promoters with better monetary offer then I doubt PBC would offer their underdog 3-belt champ to the real boogeyman of welterweight.

I don't think there will be other promotional companies that can offer Crawford good fighters and money except PBC. I mean they almost had all the 147 rank fighters. Maybe one option for Crawford is to sign like 2-3 fights and that will include Spence in the future.

Anyhow, as others said, let's wait for the outcome of the Ugas vs Spence and then we will have to have another discussions Ugas vs, Crawford or Spence vs, Crawford.
2333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoins or CBDCs? on: April 10, 2022, 11:36:07 PM
It depends, if you want to hedge your funds against the declining price then go with stablecoins and then play along as the market bounce back.

For me stable coins can't be traded right? as far as I understand, they won't be in an exchange. But it has its own purpose obviously for the government and for the people to make transactions smooth in their country. But still they are very different as compare to stable coins that is being used for crypto trading.
2334  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Breakout on: April 10, 2022, 10:57:49 PM
^^ Well we will have to see, the market is fairly young, I mean the data is like 10 years old and we can only extrapolate the data that we currently have. But so far still true but then again, as bitcoin's narrative has change, maybe this so called 4 year cycle will have to skewed at some point in time. But do remember that during halving, the reward for mining  bitcoin transaction is cut in half and bitcoin inflation is also cut, making the demand soar in the future, hence increase in the price.
2335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: April 10, 2022, 10:13:03 AM
He was just observing Murata that's why he didn't get aggressive in the early rounds but he handled it accordingly, having a real hard time is an understatement.

GGG should not make that observation again once he faces Canelo lol. That was risky! It's just fortunate that GGG can handle Murata punches that's why the former think right away of a strategy that will shutdown Murata. The Japanese champion did his best. Salute to him for giving GGG a good practice lol.

And now what is left is Canelo taking down Bivol before the trilogy with GGG. Bivol has seen the underdog but his boxing credentials are not a joke. He has the chance to beat Canelo in this match even the provided odds to them are somehow too gap.

Time flies so fast. It's just less than a month before we can now able to see this fight.

Yeah, the ball is now on Canelo, GGG has done it, win against Murata, get his belt, but it was a very tough fight for him in the beginning. So the other part of the dancing partner has fulfilled it already. So let us just wait for Canelo then, hopefully there will be no derailing on the part of Bivol because he has a chance to pull an upset, although slim the chances are there.
2336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 10, 2022, 08:48:17 AM
No question that he would win the MVP this season, however, I'm still worried about their playoffs, we have strong teams in the West that could match them, and them playing undermanned, I think they will be in trouble against a healthy team. However, I still wish them to win the first round, at least the first round.
With regards to playoffs, no offense for the Nuggets but I don't think that they can pass at least the first round. There is a chance that they will face either the Mavericks or the Warriors in the first round and with how these 2 teams are playing, I don't think that they will exit at the first round as well. Maybe they can beat the Mavericks but a healthy Warriors team? I don't think so and besides, I'm a Warrior fan so I'm a bit bias on that as well Tongue. Kudos to Jokic on how he played this season and he deserves another MVP title.

The Warriors won the Spurs tonight, and it looks like they will finish this season in 3rd place in the Western Conference. It means that the Nuggets will most likely face them in the first round of the playoffs. Although there is no doubt that Jokic will have great performances, and he will dominate inside the paint against the Warriors. However, I agree with you that the Nuggets won't have a chance against the Warriors because they are unlikely to be able to stop the Splash brothers.
A healthy and complete Warrior is really tough to beat, but who knows if Jokic alone will face them.

Just like what I have mentioned, the chance that Jamal will play during the first round will add weight for this Nugget's squad.
We all see how great the combo of Jamal and Joker is, both are good playmaker and reliable when the team needed to score a basket.
It's indeed a very interesting match if both come up with all their best to move forward.

Yeah, it will be tough for Jokic to carry the Nuggets against the Warriors, for sure they will give the Warriors a good fight and it will not be a swept in the first round. But obviously, the Warriors have the numbers here, Kuminga, Draymond and Looney will alternate containing Jokic and I think that will be enough to slow him down.

And then the Splash brothers + Jordan Poole to do the damage offensively.
2337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: April 10, 2022, 07:23:54 AM
^^ A moneyline bet on Nick doesn't make sense, odds is 1.10.
So I'm going with the -4.5 @1.71, if he is on a roll then definitely Nick is going hard to be stop as we have seen him before. No doubt about his mental issues, but if he has conquered or at least controlled it, maybe he will have a good chance to bag his first tournament win this season.
You guys that play on Kyrgios realize that this tournament is played on clay?? I mean he already has 2 wins this season and that is exactly the same as in last 4 seasons all together. I would not put a penny on Nick while playing on clay. Not saying he is not gonna win but those odds on clay scream handicap against him. At least for me.

Yeah, I know it's on clay, but I'm banking that he can overcome someone who is not a rank player, unfortunately, it was a default match.

But it might be very different in his next match because he will be facing Opelka. So I will have the +1.5 on Opelka @1.97.

Good call on this one, easy win for Opelka I would say, Nick try to come back from 1 set down, but then again, this is Nick and 9 out of 10 he will break down mentally.

Finals shutdown, Opelka vs Isner.

For the argument as to who is going to have a break out year with this young guys, yeah, two names is coming up, Alcaraz and Sinner.

Yes, I should have also bet on the ML for Opelka because it is a very good odd as well, but he won the match so I'm happy with my winning.

For the final, I might go with the over, unfortunately, betting line is close as of this time, maybe I will check later. Or I will have Isner, he is the underdog in this fight ML @2.26.
2338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the sign of bull market start on: April 09, 2022, 10:15:38 PM
What is the sign of bull market start
Bitcoin is having green position for quite long time where it will be followed by more altcoins following the exact same path with Bitcoin and so many mainstream medias covered this event with influencers as well. There are just so many sign if bull market will start later, just keep yourself updated with the crypto news around the world because it could change the market significantly.

It all depends on Bitcoin's movement.

But currently, as in the last 7 days,  bitcoin is down and so is the altcoin markets. There are even reports that says Ethereum will be in a bear market base on indications.

Anyhow, if we are indeed in a bear market then we should prepared ourselves. I don't know about majority of you, but I'm seen worst so we should be ready for anything that the market will give us in a bear market.
2339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: April 09, 2022, 09:48:54 PM
Ok so much for the GGG is way past his prime argument, he has proven again that age is just numbers in this fight.

Although he has struggled in the beginning, but once he has into his grove, and rhythm you can see the old version of himself. Now, it's Canelo's turn to beat Bivol and set up that trilogy fight in September which is going to be the biggest for this year in terms of money and hype.
2340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: April 09, 2022, 12:29:22 PM
I've watched the weight in.

I thought Tagoe is bigger than Garcia, but I'm wrong lol. I see Garcia is overconfident and I don't know why he act like fighting with a champion. Tagoe is non known boxer, no one is really expecting Tagoe win here and no need to create the hype. The fight will happen tomorrow, let's see how their spirit for TOMORROW Tongue

Both of them are overconfident, Tagoe even said to the media that Ryan is an easy fight and he can't stand Tagoe's smoke, Lol. But we will see, I didn't know that this is in a catch weight though, but no problem, both of them have agreed and make the weight so no issues at all. So we will see if what he is saying is true, or if King Ryan is back and take the 135-140 lbs.
