3301  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 04, 2022, 11:33:00 PM
We're finally seeing a proper decoupling from the stock market, which bitcoin has been following chaotically for a decade. The stock market is poised to perform exceptionally well this year as bitcoin continues its fated collapse.

Aaaand there's my buy signal.
3302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Could Gambling Legalization be a positive thing for Brazil? on: January 04, 2022, 03:23:13 PM
I believe Brazil could benefit from the tax revenue, however going by the current government of Brazil and how they use the taxes they gather from the people, I severly doubt that they will put the gambling tax revenue to any good use. If anything it will land in the pockets of politicians and other corrupt people. As far as the legalization of gambling goes, it might be a good thing but I don't currently see how.
3303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin is less privacy protected,( Query being a new member) on: January 04, 2022, 03:18:56 PM
Bitcoin has never really been what you should call a "privacy coin" nor has it ever truley been private. It can always be traced back to you as long as you connect it somehow to your name. For example, you buy bitcoin through a kyc exchange: they know how much you bought and which coins are yours in which wallets. Or you got bitcoin as a gift so you did not buy them. They stay anonymous and private unless you buy amazon gift cards and spend them in your name.
3304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Polkadot DOT a good investment q1 2022 on: January 04, 2022, 03:17:08 PM
Polkadot is going to start picking up pace, in my own personal view (which isnt investment advice). Next to Avax, Sol and Ada, Dot is going to go big. They are big contenders for the new DeFi generation and I believe this is their year. Thats why I am invested in all of them.

It really depends on the route that DeFi will take next and which protocol's will be most suited for that route. Lets wait and see... Cool
3305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: January 03, 2022, 11:33:10 AM
From my own personal point of view, I think the next big industry move is going to be headed straight towards coupling web 3.0 and DeFi as well as privacy coins to casino gambling in such a way, that casinos will become completely smart contract based. No regulators will be able to do anything anymore and the fairness of the casino will be ensured by public smart contracts with perhaps voting options.

This can already be done today, but for some reason no one is in a hurry to translate the casino's work on fully verifiable smart contracts. Maybe they don't want to lose the opportunity to increase income by changing the payout ratios and payout percentage, which will be easy to notice when using fully verifiable smart contracts.

Perhaps you are right. No casino in their right mind would want to miss out on advantages and profits, especially if those profits are easy to get.

Or maybe the smart contract aspect has not yet grown to the point where we can put out complex smart contracts that could be a running casino what with most games being based on chance. Not sure how to program probability into smart contracts...

Who knows. But Im sure we will see a third generation casino soon and it will be intertwined with blockchain.
3306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Play2earn games on: January 03, 2022, 11:28:47 AM
How good will Play2earn games be that someone can rely on them for daily weekly or monthly income? Axie infinity was a blast but now it's no more a easier option for people that are struggling because the requirements to play the game is highly costly, are there free to play crypto games available?

Depending on whether you got into a play 2 earn game early or late and how popular the game has become are all massive factors when it comes to the pay. Next to those factors we have factors like competition. If there are more play 2 earn games going around, everyone will be competing with the pay so that people will want to play their game instead. Its too early to tell.
3307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Sun Is Retiring From Tron. on: January 03, 2022, 11:26:30 AM
Justin sun retiring from Tron and becoming an ambassador of the Grenada government to the World Trade Organization.

How it will Impact Tron Growth?

https://www.coindesk.com/business/2021/12/17/justin-sun-is-retiring-from-tron-but-not-crypto/

Seems to me that the decision to retire from tron was completely in his own interests. Perhaps he got tired from crypto and decided to try something new. Ambassador status comes with a multitude of priviledges and responsibilities. Is there any mention of who will replace him? Depending on the answer, the impact to the tron price may be quite severe. We need a well known face to take his seat.
3308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin mistake In 2020-2021 on: January 02, 2022, 04:24:40 PM
If it makes you feel any better, I would hardly call making a profit a mistake. Not hodling may be a mistake to some but to be honest, who would have thought prices would go up they way they did? Same goes for big name companies like apple or microsoft or mcdonalds. Who would have thought they would be as famous as they are now? Its just a rare stroke of luck. You made profits anyway. Losses would have been worse.
3309  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which trading strategy would be a good start for new traders? on: January 02, 2022, 04:22:33 PM
I would say if you really want to learn how to trade, start by trading on large timelines. Meaning do not do day trading or even hour trading or any short term length trading, because emotions will grab hold of you and you will lose money. I say monthly trading and if your coin goes down, do not sell but hodl. Otherwise just buy dips and sell tops. As to where the dips and tops are, look at RSI and heiken ashi candles.

3311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 02, 2022, 04:17:07 PM
I do agree plus the fact that Russell is not so active inside the ring could bring him trouble against a hungry challenger in Magsayo.

Russell averages 1 fight per year it's only on this year, he doesn't have a fight. I don't think we can call Russell inactive for that. He doesn't rest for over 2 years that's why I don't take that inactivity this year as his disadvantage.

But as fellow PH, I'm looking forward to Magsayo winning. I hope him being hungry, will be the new champion on that big night.

1 fight per year for Russel seems a bit weak. If anything that sounds like a portrayal of laziness. A professional boxxer should be more motivated to fight more, gain more and train more. Thats why Russel is not really a great contender, at least not in my book.

Being hungry is great, but hunger alone does not beat experience or skill. Again, not really things I myself would bet on. But lets see how it goes. We might be surprised.

I guess that depends on the promoter handling Rusell, if they are not active in marketing him then he can't do anything but wait until a good fight is given to him, and this time, he gets a good opponent that came from a very impressive victory. The fact that Rusell is a champion, I don't want to question him anymore as I expect he is a great fighter and that is a great challenge for Magsayo.

That might be true in a limited sense since marketing can only bring you so far. I think the best marketing comes not from the promoter, (whos job is solely to promote for the fans rather than the competition) but rather the marketing comes from the skill and winning fights. If a boxxer wants to promote himself he just needs to keep winning his way to the top. Anything else is extra.

I see on the spreadsheet for week 2 you made a small mistake. You counted the starting posts wrong as you included the posts from saturday as well but saturday counts as the start of the new week.

Thanks for the first week payment  Grin
3314  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Can a poor man get his chance to be rich in Crypto? on: January 01, 2022, 01:51:17 PM
A poor man is going to have a hard time making it rich if he is only investing in bitcoin since it is worth so much currently.

Maybe he can experience getting rich from investing in a alt-coin with hopes that it becomes the next big thing.

If you want to trade secure investments for risky investments, of course you can make more money. But the likelyhood of you losing even more money is much higher. Your argument for Bitcoin having such a large market capital and therefore less volatile swings is not really a good one, at least not in my eyes. I would say Bitcoin is more worth investing in, unless you like to gamble with risk for a chance at higher percentages...
3315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you invest in new projects? on: January 01, 2022, 01:48:47 PM
Investing in new projects carries a very high risk, as they create massive hype to attract investors. I suggest you better invest in old projects like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance, they are the top coins with the least risk of losing your money.

Hype is the one and only thing I would watch out for and especially not consider as one of the investment arguments. Hype can be easily fabricated or even organically achieved by using greed and the stupidity of people. As long as your marketing is on point, hype is easy to create.

Hype itself says nothing about the investment viability of a project and in some cases, might be a big red flag. Especially with meme coins.

3317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why should Gambling be legalized ? on: January 01, 2022, 01:43:48 PM
But enforcing such rules may prove to be difficult.

I think a lot of your arguments make a lot of sense, if applied also to adults and not only those who are under the age of 18. We need to remember that gambling can be an addiction for anyone at any age. And gambling away your minimum amount of money which is necessary for things like food, clothes and rent, should be protected from gambling. Whether enforcing laws or rules is possible, is doubtful but necessary.

3319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is the safest of the 'safest ways' to store Bitcoin? on: December 30, 2021, 09:01:28 AM
I think the safety and security of someone's wallet really depends on the person. Some people are just not careful. They could have a physical wallet with all the security measures and they would still give away sensitive information to third parties. My advise is, whether you use a software wallet, web wallet or physical wallet, or however you wish to store your coin, you should keep it as secret as possible. Make sure that no info about that wallet is ever connected to the outside world.
3320  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I know legit and scam investment? on: December 30, 2021, 08:57:29 AM
I have come to realize that most of the real investment do look like scam. meanwhile the scam looks like the real once,50 percent of us  here have been scammed in one way or the other, But still yet we call ourselves good investors meanwhile we are investing into the wrong company. We really need to know the good and real trading company because they are all like the scam.Do you really know the difference?

The only way to be sure is to do the research on the team, product, whitepaper and so on for yourself. And by research I mean you have to spend a lot of time, digging deeply. Is the team legitimate? What were their previous experiences? Go ahead, message them for an interview, yourself. Look at the product: Is it well coded? Is it audited? How does their business plan work? Is it necessary? What are the use cases? How well is their marketing going? Do they have an active, real community based on organic growth? Have they started making profits?

These are the questions that you should be researching.
