Congratulations to the USA for winning the gold medal, Durant was spectacular, he carried this team, and thanks to Tatum and Lillard who also showed their support when Durant was in foul trouble. It was a big effort, they have a good lead, France comes back but they hold on.

Also, congratulations to those who bet on France as they cover the spread.
I second. Cheers to all those courageful gamblers who put their bet for France with a spread. The lowest was +10.5 and it should be enough. Big loss for me. I really thought USA could cover the -10 spread but they are sloppy on the offensive end and losing the big lead a lot of time.
A little sad for Gobert when I saw him cry but he knows the outcome will be like that when you dont have enough players to help you out.

He should not crypto, USA is the top favorite so he does not have to expect a gold medal, save that tears if they'll win a gold medal, and as long as they will continue next Olympics, they will have a great chance but probably team France will have a lot of new players to compete. Booker was not really playing well, I can't count how much he scored but I'm sure it's not double digit.

It's different though as compare to NBA finals, here you represent your own nation, not just Rudy but you will see the almost everyone who fell short of the gold medal cries, regardless if it is on athletics or basketball. They have a good chance to tie the score and force OT, but they missed it. Then they foul Durant who calmly sank the free throws.

This is Durant's 3rd gold Olympic medal representing US and I think majority of them are first timers so they are happy and proud to win their first gold medal.

ATP Washington semifinals will face:
J. Sinner vs J Broosky
K. Nishikori vs. M. McDonald
My prediction is that Sinner and Nishikori who will advance to the final bet on these two players to win the semifinal match.
1.54 for K. Nishikori and 1.69 for J. Sinner.

After this tournament there will be two ATP Master 1000s, and Federer has confirmed that he will not be participating in either tournament source

This is how I see the semi finals playing out and this is how I'm going to bet too.

Sinner is one of my favourite players and I like Kai Nishikori too, he is such a
fighter and is always positive, I would be happy for either to win the final, not sure
which way I'll bet though. Lets see how they get on today!

Federer

He probably wasnt ready to get back playing this year and picked up an injury.

I like the Sinner vs Brooksby, both still in there teens', Sinner at 19 and Brooksby 20 years old.

So we are like witnessing a Jr, ATP here, and I'm also leaning towards Sinner here, has the better experience and has been tested many times before.

Nishikori though seems to be have sort of second wind after the Olympics before he is performing very well and this is his first final appearance after so many years.
3303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: (Olympics Boxing) Carlo Paalam vs Galal Yafai (Fight for Gold Medal) on: August 07, 2021, 06:30:09 AM
What a good fight. If Paalam don't knock down on round 1, I believe the decision will so crucial and close score but Yafai is so good to keep his score lead until the last round although he almost slipped on 3 round and just regain his center of gravity. Well played to both players and they deserved the medal they got.

Yeah, but it was still a good performance for Paalam, it was not a shut out win as he score 1 on the five judges. Nothing to be ashamed off, he give everything he got, he just fall short.

Congrats to the Philippines, this is the most medal haul for them, 1 gold for Diaz, 2 coming from boxers Petecio and Paalam and 1 bronze from another boxer Marcial.

I think the government by now should know what sports disciple to develop moving forward to the next Olympics.
3304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 07, 2021, 05:25:01 AM
How about the news that another Fil-Am is also in the league besides Jordan Clarkson? He was the overall second pick in this draft so a lot of hype around him.

Rockets sign Jalen Green

See some highlights of his kid, I would say he is really talented, like in the mold of KD and he is very athletic. I'm sure Filipinos are very proud of seeing another him going into the NBA now. He and his team visited Philippines if I'm not mistaken in 2019 and played some games.
3305  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin August 2021 Target? on: August 06, 2021, 01:40:07 PM
Which is clear in my opinion.. it is possible that this month it will touch $50k, it seems to indicate a more significant movement towards higher, even on some trading sites.. the sign of buying is still strong on the chart. So just let's keep holding on

Its hard to think that we will touch at that numbers in this month since so far the one we can see is the price stability of bitcoin or maybe we can say that its playing at $38k - $40k price level. Maybe we can see that figures on next following months since we can see that the positive sides are now getting back with bitcoin and it also show good dominance for the past couple of days so maybe the figures we talk about here will happen soon.

It's been hovering for months now around $38k-$39k, but we did see some semblance of a rally when it touches $42k last week. And now that we are in the $40k'ish again, we do hope that it can sustain this run, otherwise, we might see a dip below again.

For $50k to be achieved this month, there has to be some kind of positive news so that we will see a FOMO run. We all know that when it's FOMO time, it can easily jump $1k-$3k in matter of hours pushing the price again.
3306  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is not getting above $41,000 on: August 06, 2021, 12:31:03 PM
What is happening, bitcoin is not getting beyond $41,000, I am think the price will get to $50,000 but my mind is double now, the price increase again to $41,000 yesterday but not going beyond, what is happening, when will the price increase to $50,000. The other mind I get now is if the price of bitcoin will decrease low $40,000 because it has been within $39,000 and $41,000 now.

It seems that you don't have any idea about resistance level. Perhaps $41k is a big barrier in front of us that's why it's hard to breach it. And if ever we reach $41k, it doesn't mean $50k will be next. We need the price to sustain its run. And looking at the price movement, there is not enough push, so it might take some days, some weeks or months before we can get to $50k.
3307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: (Olympics Boxing) Carlo Paalam vs Galal Yafai (Fight for Gold Medal) on: August 06, 2021, 11:23:07 AM
Even if it is not Japanese, this will be his toughest fight because obviously, this is for the gold medal. I'm not sure why he became the underdog though, Yafai just went through the needle last fight while Carlo won in a UD fashion.
looking at their record Carlo Paalam has more bouts and wins compared to Galal Yafai but between the two Galal Yafai has been more active than Carlo Paalam.  I guess they either based it on their medal count, who has more recent fights in the ring or it's just that Galal Yafai is just far more popular than Carlo Paalam. anyway, being an underdog isn't really that bad.
I believe we should based on the current performance, Paalam beat the defending champion and that's a big thing in sports.

We have a lot of bettors for Paalam here as this thread has a lot of Filipino fans and we know this is only the 2nd gold of the Philippines if Paalam will win.
I hope he will not feel the pressure, just play his game,  and be smart as every throw and hit counts.

I think it's good if he can feel the pressure so that it can bring the best out of him. As what we say, it's a do or die for him, win the gold for his country and get the 2nd gold for the Philippines. And we love to see him really bringing his best and A-game against Yafai so that there will be no doubt or controversy as who gets the win. It's good to be that he is the underdog, as Filipino bettors will also win big if Paalam wins.
3308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tokyo 2020 Men's Olympics Basketball Tournament on: August 06, 2021, 10:32:09 AM
France defeated USA in a group match, 83-76. This proves that they are capable of doing it again in the final game also. USA should play the game being aware of that.

We will never forget that, but it seems the odds provider are still making USA the favorite to win the gold medal. Everyone wants to see a good finals and this one is going to be exciting as USA will have to avenge their loss in the opening and their one and only chance to do it is in the final match.

The opening lost for US was a big news for the basketball world as questions have been raised whether they can win the gold or not. But here we are, they are already in the finals, so that lost was somewhat forgotten already by the media because it didn't have an effect on their performance there after.

Though the USA lineup is full of superstars, but the France team also has a lot of NBA players and their main advantage is the chemistry.

USA is slowly blending up, initially it was really difficult for the coach on how to manage each and every superstars, but they understand their roles and what it was needed for them to contribute and achieved that gold medal. So I think USA will win the gold medal and the streak continues.
3309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 06, 2021, 09:53:54 AM
Break even for me on the last game, lost on the Opelka vs Millman but just one point but bounce back on the Sinner vs Korda.

I guess Nadal injury is not fully healed or he just having a bad night. So yeah, something is wrong with him, I don't want to say that age is catching up, but probably his body is not responding as it used to be with the gruelling matches that's why his having a difficult time in his last 2 games.
3310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 06, 2021, 09:30:21 AM
In today’s NBA drama, Ben Simmons has reportedly cutoff contact with everyone in the Philadelphia 76ers organization including ignoring calls from Joel Embid. Ben Simmons is saying he wants to end up on one of the California teams. I think his trade request could’ve been handled better but I understand he’s mad about the playoffs… This is how you end up a Sacramento King.
Yes, I just recently read about this. Now he hates them for letting him go or not offering any contract as fast as they could.
I want to see where he will land just to analyze if it will be a good decision for that team.
How many good players are still hanging as free agents?
Schroder, Ben, and Kawhi.
Drummond signed with 76ers with a veteran's contract. He said, "there was never any real beef with Embiid."
Not a lot with the Raptors, are they going to surprise us?

I think Toronto is already on a full rebuild, trading Lowry and they get Goran Dragic from Miami. But I don't think that they are going to hold for Goran as they would have eventually need to trade him to save salary cap.

Most interesting part is Siakam, there are news that they wanted to trade him to Sacramento, but the management hasn't pull the trigger just yet.
3311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT still hot??? on: August 05, 2021, 12:27:49 PM
And moving five months, the NFT craze is sill very hot as many celebrities and big companies are embracing it to raise money or for your their personal gains.

I guess it will continue up to the end of the year, specially if there will be no hype to replace the NFT because come to think of it, what will be the next generations of NFT?
3312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: (Olympics Boxing) Carlo Paalam vs Ryomei Tanaka on: August 05, 2021, 11:44:34 AM
Paalam has a good chance of getting the gold medal and that's what he wants to achieve for his country, and if you look at every fight he always uses very fast footwork and sharp right-handed counters that his opponents have to watch out for.

Carlo Paalam and Marcial's performance earned praise and support from Pacquiao, who wrote from his training camp in Los Angeles, "You two make us so proud"

Paalam made it but Marcial was not able to succeed, he finishes the olympcis with a bronze medal, still something to be proud of.

On the two Marcial has the hardest fight I thought he won the game because he is hitting his opponent accurately and with a power punch it's a very close fight that it could go either but the Ukrainian got the nod of the judges because of his aggressiveness in the early round it's a heartbreaking loss for Marcial, on Paalam he has a very good chance to win the gold he has a complete arsenal he can punch his opponent while moving out, he is a very intelligent fighter I hope Paalam will win the gold.

Marcial match was very close indeed, but to my surprised his opponent has an incredible run of 62 fights without any losses, so Marcial was really in for a very big fight and he wasn't able to upset Khyzhniak.

For Paalam, there was no surprised, he really take the match from the first round and we're glad that the referee see the match fair and square and score all for Paalam. Goodluck to him and lets pray that he will bring the gold for Philippine boxing and the whole country in general. But he is has the silver, already a big feat.
3313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 05, 2021, 10:53:28 AM
Do you think Pacquiao has more speed? I strongly doubt it, at least with each new round he will slow down more than the young boxer. I am still wondering what kind of bet I should make. Maybe I'll wait for the match to start and place a bet online if I see a profitable change in odds.

Yes, 100%... Manny Pacquiao has the speed advantage over spence, I'm sure majority of bettors and fans here will agree with me. Spence has the youth, has the advantage in terms of power, "maybe", but with the experience and speed, I think Manny will win the fight. Just think of it, if you are not sure yet, but I'd say, follow your heart always, so you'll have fun watching the fight.

If Pacquiao has the most important advantage, why isn't he the favorite in this fight? Bookmakers are ready to answer with money for their analysis and they give a clear preference to Spence.
Sometimes I am very sorry that in sports we always see single results and cannot assess the overall picture. Sometimes a random event happens, but in the absence of others, we recognize it as natural. I think if Pacquiao wins it will be something similar.

Pacman is the underdog because Errol Spence is younger, bigger, stronger and Pacman has not been active in boxig after his fight versus Keith Thruman. Spence is also presently higher than Pacman in the best boxer pound for pound rankings.

However, you question Pacman’s speed hehe. You can watch Pacman’s heavy bag training on youtube and compare this with Spence heavy bag training.

Yeah, we have the same comparison in the Thurman fight as well. There are a lot of videos circulating on youtube that time comparing the heavy body bag training and we can clearly see the Pacquiao still has the speed and power, very bad intent to say the least.

Although Pacquiao is the underdog, doesn't matter, we all know that he gives 100% on his every fight. But hopefully, he can win against the young Spence and prove once again he is still pound for pound.
3314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 05, 2021, 10:10:27 AM
The Citi Open are playing played like 1 am my time, damn, I won't able to watch the game and put a bet on it.

Opelka vs Millman might be an interesting game to bet though, I think it will be very close game between the two. Millman is the underdog, but I can clearly see him at least win 1 set and over 22.5.

Yes, the Sinner vs Korda match could be close as well. I agree with @Trofo's analysis, easy 3 setter over 22.5 as well for me.
3315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 05, 2021, 09:21:58 AM
How about this news? LaMarcus Aldridge seriously considering return to NBA after retiring last season with heart issue, per report.

I guess it will be good to see him playing again, but he need to be cleared first, by the NBA's medical team. In any case, there could be many teams still interested on his services, he could still be a good man in the middle for any teams and he can contribute to the offense as well. I'm not sure if Nets will have the first crack at him.
3316  Economy / Speculation / Re: What have changed in BTC price on: August 05, 2021, 08:36:55 AM
I think that it is still early to say that 2021 is the Bitcoin adoption year. We still have 5 months to go until the end of this year. And we don't know at what rate Bitcoin adoption will continue in the rest of the year. For example, Tesla is said to be starting to accept Bitcoin as a payment method again soon. This could help the adoption in a positive way.

or the time of adopting bitcoin at this point I think it's almost over, as people are starting to go with its adoption. you guys are still thinking for the next 5 months, I think that's a very long time why have to wait another 5 months, if the opportunity is still in sight.

There's no time limit for bitcoin adoption, it might go in the next 5-10 years.

I think what he said that we still have 5 months to go before the end of the year, and that is a good gauge to see how well bitcoin is doing, regardless of adoption for governments or any merchant stores accepting it as mode of payment just like the rumoured Amazon news, which turn out to be faked. So the price is still a bargain, because in the next 5 months it might ballooned to 6 digits.
3317  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next Bitcoin price Benchmark on: August 02, 2021, 01:11:59 PM
From now on, I think the next stop for Bitcoin price is $45k. If the price succeeds in reaching this level, then the latter one will be $50k. If the price is able to break that level also, I think that it wouldn't be too hard for it to continue until reaching a new ATH. But I don't think that we will witness all of this in August. I think that we could see the new ATH anytime after reaching September.

We just had a minor dip, as the price went below $40k in the last 24 hours from as high as $41k. So we will have to wait for $45k because we need to bounce back again to $41k-$42k and sustain it's natural growth. The good thing is that we just started his month, so we should be positive that August will somehow bring optimism so that we can go to the range of $45-$50k.

Yes, I do agree that the last quarter will be another wild run in the market, we could see a new all time high or better yet, a $100k price as predicted by many.
3318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 02, 2021, 10:47:32 AM
Kawhi just declined his player option.
https://twitter.com/wojespn/status/1421948516260265989?s=20
Quote
Kawhi Leonard has declined his $36M player option for next season and becomes a free agent, per source. Now, the expectation is that Leonard will negotiate a new deal to stay with Clippers.
@ChrisBHaynes
 first on declining option.
What is his agent thinking? He ended the playoffs with an injury and yet they think Kawhi will get a better number?
He sure will not play for the Lakers because they will be in luxury tax if they take him. What team? How much? I thought he was home already.
Will he really leave PG13 after pulling him in Clippers? This gives more twist to what will happen to the trades.

Chances are, he's either trying to get the max contract and resign with the Clippers or he's looking to get another ring to a team that has potentials to get to the NBA finals. And we all know it's not going to be the Lakers or the Nets.
The Clippers wasn't able to advance in the finals since PG and Kawhi arrived in LA. There's a huge possiblity that Kawhi is sick of the Clippers system for not making to the finals in 2 straight years.
I'm not sure but that's just what I was thinking. I'm quite excited for Kawhi and CP3 decision.

I guess it would be fun If bookies put a betting lines about notable players team signing decisions during free agency lol.

His agent probably knows what they are doing, Kawhi is one of the best players in the NBA, that injury he suffered was huge but he can be healthy next season and if the Clippers will let him go, other teams might be interested in him and give him a max contract. What if Utah Jazz will sign him, I think that would make the Jazz a good playoff contender and a championship contender as well.

Kawhi has still the bargaining power in my opinion, yeah he did suffered from any injury, but I think a healthy Kawhi can bring any team a chance to win a championship and he proved it in Toronto. It just so happened that he got injured in the playoffs. So I think it's a good move on this part and the agent as they can re-negotiate a max deal or transfer to another team that has better option. KD just come from the worst injury of his career but was able to get a good deal with the Nets.
3319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 02, 2021, 10:06:25 AM
Let's see the extend of his injured shoulder in the US Open. But a 100% Djokovic is really hard to beat in any tournament.

US Open starts in a month or so, even if he was injured it will heal properly until then.

It has to be said though that Đoković is one of the worst losers in sport. He always finds some injury or whatever, I remember when he was playing in Doha and Lopez was kicking his ass taht he forfeited because he said that sand got into his eyes. Then when he lost last season he said he couldn't play properly because some holy man died in Serbia or whatever.

Don't get me wrong, he's probably going to retire as a player with the most Grand Slams in tennis. But when he loses, it was never because the opponent was better.

And that's what makes Federer and Nadal above him as greatest of all time because of his attitude. Both are good and shows sportsmanlike in defeat, unlike Djokovic though, I know that he is a competitor but sometimes he has a lot of excuses when he lost.

He can't just admit it specially if some lower rank players are playing good and he can't keep up with them, just like in the Zverev match.
3320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tokyo 2020 Men's Olympics Basketball Tournament on: August 01, 2021, 12:26:42 PM
Spain drew the short straw and will face Team USA in the quarter-finals, here's rest of the matchups:

Doncic is still undefeated with Slovenia, 16-0 now, and not so crazy path to the finals imo. 👀

The match between Spain and the US team is very interesting whoever wins here is a strong contender on Gold, Spain right now is playing great they are always in title contention and they can exploit the US team weakness because the US team is not what you can consider a great team compared to all the past team, they are not a dream team and beatable.

Yes the US team is beatable, but this is already a quarterfinals match, and I'm sure they are thinking of elevating their game and for sure they will be the favourite to win after Spain lost to Slovenia.

And it looks like Durant has find his rhythm already, he has some bad games but others was able to cover from him. So this is bad news for the US opponents, as I'm sure Durant will carry the momentum now going against Spain next game.
