Next - we'll see a consolidation @around $440
right and  $769 is a good target for the top of another small bubblish bump up

next 3 months of action might be 440  450  460 pop to 769 drop to 500

haven´t fully understood all solid arguments in this analysis, but the conclusions are excellent. i buy it.  Smiley

Etwas OT:

Terrorbekämpfung: Schäuble fordert Bankkontenregister und Bitcoin-Kontrolle

http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/Terrorbekaempfung-Schaeuble-fordert-Bankkontenregister-und-Bitcoin-Kontrolle-3085841.html

no-evidence[/b]-linking-islamic-state-to-bitcoin/]http://www.coindesk.com/europol-no-evidence-linking-islamic-state-to-bitcoin/

Quote
"There is no evidence however of IS-financing networks in existence. Despite third party reporting suggesting the use of anonymous currencies like bitcoin by terrorists to finance their activities, this has not been confirmed by law enforcement."

3345  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is everyone ignoring problems? on: January 25, 2016, 08:26:01 PM
i wanted to reply: replace "problems" with "me" but then realized a contradiction, so i dedcided not to write at all.

on the other hand, i cannot let you win.
3346  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Der Aktuelle Kursverlauf on: January 25, 2016, 08:12:37 PM

3347  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 25, 2016, 09:51:59 AM
i see blocksize fighting is still flooding all the threads. it has actually one really good side: all the scared (or not so scared opponents) of bitcoin will not really roll out big funds or effort or both to kill bitcoin. because the way they percieve it through ms media (and even through the forums) bitcoin is killing itself really nice anyway. their incentive to fight seriously is low. they yawn.

so, thank you mr hearn. you might be one hell of a double agent...   Wink

I would take anything brg444 says with a pinch of salt as he completely lacks objectivity.

since when it is not en vogue to drop some acid within the IT scene? ever heard of steve jobs?

This is where the film’s two most bizarre scenes occur, as Gates takes a joyride on a tractor in Albuquerque while Jobs takes LSD and pretends to conduct an orchestra in a psychedelic countryside. It’s just one of many places where the movie makes some clear comparisons between Gates and Jobs: Jobs has a drug trip that brings out his creativity; Gates acts like a fratboy and rams a borrowed car with a pilfered backhoe.

i dunno about you, but i prefer steve´s way.

https://www.comdirect.de/inf/aktien/detail/chart.html?timeSpan=5Y&ID_NOTATION=20086641#timeSpan=SE&e&

3355  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Der Aktuelle Kursverlauf on: January 19, 2016, 12:28:24 PM

so was gibts?

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/492972/gs-16-1-distributed-ledger-technology.pdf

BAM!

Quote
Bitcoin is an online equivalent of cash. Cash is authenticated by its physical
appearance and characteristics, and in the case of banknotes by serial numbers
and other security devices. But in the case of cash there is no ledger that records
transactions and there is a problem with forgeries of both coins and notes. In the
case of Bitcoins, the ledger of transactions ensures their authenticity. Both coins
and Bitcoins need to be stored securely in real or virtual wallets respectively
— and if these are not looked after properly, both coins and Bitcoins can be
stolen. A fundamental difference between conventional currency and Bitcoins is
that the former are issued by central banks, and the latter are issued in agreed
amounts by the global ‘collaborative’ endeavour that is Bitcoin. Cash as a means
of exchange and commerce dates back millennia and in that respect there is a
lineage that links cowrie shells, hammered pennies and Bitcoin.

Quote
The first difficulty in communication is the strong association of block chain
technology with Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a type of cryptocurrency, so called because
cryptography underpins the supply and tracking of the currency. Bitcoin
creates suspicion amongst citizens and government policymakers because
of its association with criminal transactions and ‘dark web’ trading sites, such
as the now defunct Silk Road. But digital cryptocurrencies are of interest to
central banks and government finance departments around the world which are
studying them with great interest. This is because the electronic distribution of
digital cash offers potential efficiencies and, unlike physical cash, it brings with it
a ledger of transactions that is absent from physical cash.

Quote
As with most new technologies, the full extent of future uses and abuses is
only visible dimly. And in the case of every new technology the question is not
whether the technology is ‘in and of itself’ a good thing or a bad thing.
The
questions are: what application of the technology? for what purpose? and
applied in what way and with what safeguards?

Quote
In summary, distributed ledger technology provides the framework for
government to reduce fraud, corruption, error and the cost of paper-intensive
processes. It has the potential to redefine the relationship between government
and the citizen in terms of data sharing, transparency and trust. It has similar
possibilities for the private sector.

3357  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 19, 2016, 10:08:32 AM
I don't know why this didn't occur to me until just now, but with well over 50% hashing power in China, what happens if the Communist Party confiscates all the mines? Then instead of shutting them down, they merge the pools and double spend until the price crashes to pennies.

It wouldn't even do any good to fork away from them.  They have the ASICs, so they could just jump on the new fork and double spend again.

I think this is the biggest security threat to Bitcoin right now. This is a bigger threat than pools, massive miner farms, fewer nodes, anything.

These mines are too big to hide. If the ChiComs don't know where they all are, they could easily find out.

The Red Chinese government is the only power on earth that could shut down Bitcoin right now, but they could do it with a few phone calls.   They have reasons for doing it too, from preserving the value of the Renmimbi to enforcing capital controls, to consumer protection to regulating commerce to protecting incumbent players or even propping up their preferred altcoin (Litecoin?)

jesus, the communists are the big threat to bitcoin? the c o m m u n i s t s ?!?!

such ideology…

btw: when the feds decide to jail everyone for 20 years that touches bitcoin, and enforce this worldwide, how long would bitcoin survive?
3358  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bullish Media Center (The 1 stop BTC news source) on: January 18, 2016, 10:32:07 PM

this is big. higher edj.school/universities all around the world are connected. when it becomes a trend, the rest will follow. from then on ever graduate will leave his/her institution with a practical use case for the bitcoin-blockchain. something very valuable will be stored, something that all the graduates will be proud of: their diplomas. those folks will honor/value the bitcoin blockchain big time.
this is brilliant. easy to understand for everybody.

it´ll become a standard.

3360  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2016 will be a boring year for bitcoin on: January 13, 2016, 10:56:55 PM
last halving was 2012. nothing happened, check the charts. the interesting year was 2013.

2016 will be kind of boring until nov. or dec.

going down from ath all through 2014 was tough. never seem to leave 200´s during most of 2015 was also not that much of a pleasure. if it stays around 400 for another year - so what?

400´s will be an excellent launch pad.
