3381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Segwit wallet might not save you any fees on: January 20, 2018, 04:57:10 AM
That's just simply not true, if you are to go on a site to estimate both of the fees you'd see that the fees are lower. It's not by a crazy amount, but it is saving in a time where there is a lot of money that COULD be saved by people.

Here is the link, check it out here - https://coinb.in/#fees You'll see!
3382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin already hit the mainstream? on: January 20, 2018, 01:31:56 AM
Nope, not even close. People knowing about bitcoin isn't it going mainstream. Being on mainstream media isn't MAINSTREAM ADOPTION, which is what people want and are really talking about. Bitcoin at the moment is known to people as either something they can make really good money in, OR something which is used on the darknet in order to buy drugs.

So, it hasn't.
3383  Economy / Services / Re: We are hiring! on: January 20, 2018, 01:02:15 AM
Would like to get involved as a community manager, seems like this would be a pretty solid experience for a pretty solid company. If you could though, do you guys have a website that I could checkout -- Kinda want to see more of what you guys do before I fully push forward.

Thanks!
3384  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best place to sell Litecoin similar to localbitcoins? on: January 20, 2018, 12:43:29 AM
Only place which is going to work, and be somewhat reputable is probably going to be the exchange section of this site. You'll want to use an escrow, but they'll work too. Paxful (a competitor of lbc) MAY work, though I don't see any volume of any sort for altcoin sales on there.

I'd rather just convert to bitcoin and sell, that may be a bit easier if you actually want some sort of liquidity as litecoin isn't ACTUALLY used.
3385  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the price going lower? on: January 20, 2018, 12:32:48 AM
While I do think the drop has ended, and we're going to pull into a bull market I'm not the person that's pulling the strings at all -- None of us are. We don't know what's going to happen, charters don't know what's going to happen, we just have to play the market.

But this price is pretty solid for a bull run, been seeing a lot saying we should shoot up from here.
3386  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's High Volatility on: January 20, 2018, 12:25:49 AM
There's no demand in the market for usage though, this is demand from people wanting to make a quick buck off of bitcoin and the shitcoins. This market though, is a trader's wet dream as there is a ton of money to be made if you know how to work the market and the charts.

Hoping for this sort of volatility to die down though, as no one is going to get involved in bitcoin at this volatility level - CURRENCY USAGE WISE.
3387  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin digs out 4/5 on: January 20, 2018, 12:11:04 AM
Interesting, who knows how mining will be by year 2100+ and farther, if mining or bitcoin will even exist.

Well if you think about it, there is going to have to be a large change in order to make this worthwhile for people. Electricity price is going to have to decrease, mining difficulty must decrease as well, and mining must be better in new machines. If all of this happens, then TX fees will be able to handle paying the miners and they won't have to be supplemented by the creation of coins.
3388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin important on: January 19, 2018, 11:45:15 PM
Bitcoin is important because it is the first currency in the cryptocurrency space, a revloutionary piece of technology which is INTEGRAL in pushing for innovation in banking and finance. As people are going to be able to get more easily involved in banking if bitcoin, and other cryptos, go mainstream this is really going to be an amazing thing to see.

3389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If your friends and loved ones let you sell your bitcoin? on: January 19, 2018, 09:18:50 PM
Well, you'd first like to know the reasoning behind your friend making a statement like this, as I don't have friends which would get involved in my investments without them thinking that it would really help me. Do you have financial problems in your life? Did you buy these coins on credit.

There are many variables that we don't know about but at the end of the day it's YOUR call as they're YOUR coins and YOUR money -- do as you please bud.
3390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain is releasing a 815GH/s Blake(2b) miner called the AntMiner A3 on: January 19, 2018, 05:10:52 AM
Dang, I should have snagged one.  I was chillin at my computer when the email notification came through and could have had it.  But I don't mine anymore.  Cheaper to simply buy coins...especially today.

I mean in this market even with buying the coins, does it have the same return as it did before? Cause we're not in the same sort of bull market we were before, nor are we in a bear market. We're in something in between.

Wish I got into mining a long time ago, would've made a ton of money throughout all of this. Wish I didn't get into trading alts and BTC but that's what I'm stuck with now.
3391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Crazydane's 32 kw solar array build feeding 16 kw worth of miners on: January 19, 2018, 04:58:23 AM
Don't know if you'd be too keen on telling everyone here, but would you be able to give me a rough estimate on the ROI that you're expecting here? Maybe even with an amount of money that you're pulling down on a weekly basis on pure profit?

I don't think you included it in your post, if you did I am sorry! -- Trying to see if mining is for me as I do have access to a good amount of free power.
3392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Confirmed: china central bank issued a new document against cryptocurreny on: January 19, 2018, 04:39:36 AM
It seems its just a game to create more FUD to push price down and accumulate more BTC for themselves.
Big players in Asia know exactly what they are doing, they are repeating same cycle over and over again.

I hope people do know that this isn't just present in Crypto, insider trading is something that is grossly common across all types of securities and investments. Cause when there's money to be made, there are going to be ways to make it illegally -- happens all the time. Though, this isn't me trying to say it's OK -- I'm just saying that this was bound to happen as it happens in stocks, and of course is going to happen in crypto too.

Regulations won't stop this, this is just incompetence by the government.
3393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I like to buy during dips but I'm waiting to see regulatin on: January 18, 2018, 03:45:50 AM
I mean, this was going to happen at some point. And for me, someone who didn't make a ton last year but did end up probably making 500ish for Crypto last year the difference in tax when checking out the amount of tax I'd pay with like kind exchanges and without was about $40? I mean it's something, but you're going to lose out on making a good amount of money if you're NOT buying the dip.

There was a lot to be paid today, bitcoin went from 9000 back to almost 12000 in the day. It's CRAZY.
3394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Next BCH Attack on BTC? on: January 18, 2018, 02:28:41 AM
This difficulty is only temporary, soon it will all be back to normal, it will happen

This right here is what you have to look at, the reason for this massive difficulty change was from miners stop mining -- as it's a lot more profitable to be mining at 17,000 then it is to be mining at 9k, which is what we crashed to at a certain point today. We're back up now so it will come back up, will take some time as it will increase with the price increasing as well

BCH isn't attacking shit, they're shit.
3395  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: USB Wallet Help... on: January 16, 2018, 06:37:48 AM
Though just so you do know, coinomi isn't something which is I would like to use as you're kinda stuck on your mobile device (either on android or ios) and I think you must use android for the multi wallet.

I'd rather go with something along with Ledger (supports a good amount of altcoins, cheap price for a HW wallet) or Trezor (supports SOME altcoins, and higher price for the HW) Both of these are wonderful wallets, I'm going to be buying either one soon for my bitcoin and some alts.
3396  Economy / Trading Discussion / Are the trading bots worth the price? on: January 15, 2018, 01:49:16 AM
I've seen a massive amount of people talk about the amount of money that their bots are able to make, I've looked into some of these bots (Gunbot, Profit Trailer) and when you see them, they have INSANE prices.  Something that I don't think I'd want to get into just cause I don't think it'd be able to SUSTAIN profit and to be able to PAY OFF ITSELF with such a high upfront costs.

Can anyone provide some feedback for these things?
3397  Economy / Economics / Re: South Korea Announces Crypto Traders Could Face Fines Under New System -A Ploy ? on: January 15, 2018, 01:31:32 AM
Just so you know, that is merely FUD. South Korea has made it official that there is absolutely no ban on cryptocurrencies in the country as of this moment.

People will spread FUD as far as they can, they'll do it so they can make a quick buck and run off with the proceeds. It's something which is going to continue in this space until we hit the point where we're not being manipulated by whales and we actually have good news sources that aren't being paid off left and right to make some traders money.

All FAKE NEWS.
3398  Economy / Economics / Re: Taxes - Gift, Inheritance or Buying on: January 15, 2018, 01:10:27 AM
If you don't have any proof, you're going to have to state that you bought these coins at $0 on tax documents and then sold them at their current price (whenever you go ahead and sell them) So you're going to have to pay capital gains on the whole 15k or so, which is going to be a massive amount of capital gains to pay. I would try to look LONG and HARD to try to find some receipts so you're not paying that much money, as I doubt you made enough money to justify that.

Buying at 0
3399  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I want to invest $ 100 to earn 50% in a week, in which currency to invest? on: January 14, 2018, 11:12:54 PM
Setting goals in terms of time and gain is the best way to lose everything ...

This right here, once you try to make a certain amount of money you're going to lose and I'm going to tell you why. At first you're going to make normal investments in coins, be it something like Bitcoin and you're going to think you're in a good place to make some quick cash. Bitcoin is going to fall a bit, so when it does you're going to get a little scared and then start going into riskier and riskier investments because of it. Then you'll slowly lose out more and more as you're exposing your money to more and more risk, Bitcoin is risky but some random shitcoin that is being pumped and dumped is MUCH MUCH worse.

Don't do this, just try to throw some money into a couple coins (if you can) and see what happens.
3400  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Difficulties on: January 14, 2018, 10:51:59 PM
Trading is one of those things that is insanely easy during times of a bull run, but is something that is tough to handle and tough to mange your emotions during the times of the bear. We are in the times of the bear right now, when most coins are correcting and losing massive amounts of value in a short amount of time. So anyone that thought they'd get in and make some quick cash is slowly noticing that they're losing out very quickly.

It's going to be tough, but if you think that everyone is going to come back up in some amount of time then you should just HODL and go on with your life. Don't check the prices all the time, don't watch videos, set some time aside weekly to check and then make decisions. Don't do day trading -- you're going to lose out.
