341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin worth $1.5B withdrawn from Coinbase in 48 hours on: December 04, 2022, 01:40:28 PM
Confidence of people on crypto have surely got shaken with the FTX incident but it is not the end of the world. Such incidents have happened in past also but still crypto survived and even touched new heights. I think it is overall good for crypto that bad people or projects get wiped out from the overall scenario. Slowly, scammers will realize that people will not trust their projects and will automatically keep them away from crypto space. One more positive thing out of this is that people will realize that it is never safe to keep funds on exchanges. One should use hardware wallets for full safety. There will always be two sides to see a situation, it is upto you, if you want to see positive side or the negative one.

It would be nice addition to forum. A simple page with details like reports submitted, description, moderator comments and current status. It can help in number of situation  like same member submitting multiple reports for same violation on the forum by mistake as he can check submitted reports on his detailed page.

Well the OP of the thread no longer sends merits to applicants on this thread, and even though any user is obliged to send merits to applicants here out of their own discretion, they very well rarely do because this thread isn't so active, so you might consider applying for merits to reach your new rank which is very close in other "merit giveaway" topics that are active. You could also send a pm to The Pharmacist for him to review your post history for possible merits. Good Luck, you are very close.

Thanks for taking time out for this. I did not knew that OP was not active here. I am trying to be active on forum again now. Let us see how it goes.

348  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Do you think Binance is the best crypto exchange currently available ? on: December 01, 2022, 01:09:17 PM
Never mind me. Is it not a stupid research to be looking for the exchange to keep your coins?
I appreciate your suggestion. I mentioned in my post that sometimes we need funds on exchanges for things like doing future trading.
349  Economy / Exchanges / Do you think Binance is the best crypto exchange currently available ? on: December 01, 2022, 12:30:56 PM
We all know what happened to FTX and why are crypto users so scared after the incident. It is hard to trust any crypto exchange now. But if you are using Binance, then you can worry a little less. I came across a positive news related to Binance. They have hired a professional audit firm to verify crypto reserves :

So, if you have keep some funds in exchanges like for futures or other transactions, Binance can be a good choice. But always do your own research because there cannot be 100% certainty when money is involved.

There are more chances of hell freezing over in comparison to forum getting a takedown notice for advertising chip mixer platform.

355  Other / Meta / Re: Question about ban and hopeful reversal on: November 24, 2022, 08:07:32 AM
I tried to write a mail before like it was mentioned in the banner when I logged back in but no one ever responded to them.
If possible I would appreciate looking into it and hopefully reversing the ban from that time, I think it was unjustified but maybe I broke some rule that I missed that time.
It's possible your ban was a mistake,
No, it is not. Please read the reply above yours. He posted a download link with virus.
356  Other / Meta / Re: ProxyBan of Some New Forum Members. on: November 24, 2022, 08:04:43 AM
You already did your part by introducing them to this forum. If they are serious enough about crypto, they will pay the fees for unban. So leave this decision to them.
357  Other / Off-topic / Do you agree that an employer should hire employees who are smarter than him? on: November 21, 2022, 05:02:53 PM
I was listening to a YouTube video by a famous business man and he was saying that he prefers to hire employees who are smarter than him. Do you agree with this style of working? What are the possible intentions behind doing this? Isn't their fear that these smart employees can steal ideas from office or get client details and then start their own companies? What is your view regarding this?
358  Economy / Economics / Re: Is long-term employee retention a losing battle? on: November 21, 2022, 04:59:49 PM
The only formula to retain the employees is to genuinely care about them. The company policies should reflect this. Also, there are other factors involved like the role of each individual I  the company should be well defined. Then only there can be good reporting and you can expect the employee to be content with his work also. If the employees get bonus and extra pay for extra work, they will feel that the company cares about them. The employer should also keep communicating with employees frequently.
359  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you like commission job or salary base job? on: November 21, 2022, 04:55:53 PM
The mentality of most of the people in my country is salary based job. They are being paid $100 a month but they want fixed salary at end of month. Even if you offer them commission of $50 each on one conversion, they will deny it. Because no one wants uncertainty. Personally, for me commission based jobs give a higher ROI on time invested. When we know that we will get a fixed percent on each conversion, we will even give the work more effort.
360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Crypto survive? on: November 21, 2022, 01:55:05 PM
1.The people, who got burned should have known the saying "Not your keys, not your coins". Do not trust a centralized company, it doesn't matter how "trustworthy" this company appears to be.

There are a lot of beginners and there will always be beginners coming up in future. When some person starts investing in crypto, he does not have the information about the saying "Not your keys, not your coins" . These people have just got to know about crypto from some friend and purchased it on some exchange and let it be there. Also, there are old people who are not that much technical.

2. The end of a bunch of crypto scams has nothing to do with Bitcoin. The Bitcoin blockchain is fine. The BTC miners are still mining.
The Bitcoin price is surprisingly stable in a time of constant FUD and bearish signals.

I agree that it is not the fault of bitcoin. But image of bitcoin is tarnished because of this. People associate crypto with bitcoin and when they face any scam in crypto field , it is natural that they will develop a bad feeling for bitcoin and other coins also. I will not be surprised if majority of people who lost funds due to FTX collapse completely go away from crypto for life.
