Smart Contracts, Dapps, Oracles etc.. sind "Modeworte". In unserem Beispiel ist aber alles möglich. Natürlich ist ein Client-Server-Modell auch denkbar. Aber dafür brauche ich integrierte Programmiersprachen - sowas hab ich bei Bitcoin nicht. Wann immer ich einen Entscheidungsträger in der Blockchain suche, ist Bitcoin erstmal ungeeignet. Mit Mastercoin meinst du wohl den Omni-Layer auf Bitcoin Blockchain Basis? Da ist schon das Problem. Hast du mal Tether von Binance auf Kraken überwiesen? Egal wie cool der Layer auch sein mag - er erfordert letztendlich die Transaktionsgebühren und die Blocktimes des Bitcoins. Und das war vor ein paar Monaten nicht gerade lustig. Mit Killer-App gebe ich dir recht - aber wer hat größere Chancen? Bitcoin oder Blockchain 2.0 / 3.0 - ich rede nicht von Altcoins. Alternative Coins = Bitcoin Forks (z.B. Litecoin). Alles darüber hinaus sind keine Altcoins. Denn ich kann für mein automatisiertes Testament kein Bitcoin nutzen - Ethereum schon. Somit ist Ethereum kein Altcoin sondern ein (Fintech) Produkt mit ganz anderen Zielen und relativ wenig Codeklau. EOS würde ich schon als Blockchain 3.0 bezeichnen. Momentan gehasst und trotzdem wird sich in 5 Jahren niemand mehr an die SCAM-Beschuldigungen erinnern. Es ist schnell, skalierbar und hat alle Vorzüge von Ethereum. Das sind die sogenannten (falsch bezeichneten) Alt-Alt-Coins. Geforkt von der zweiten Generation und drastisch verbessert. Die Jungs haben sich erst gar nicht mehr mit Bitcoin beschäftigt, sondern direkt die Nachteile der Generation 2 gefixt - erstmal "Bravo".... Wo das alles hinführt werden wir noch sehen - aber innovativ ist der "alte" Dino-Bitcoin vor 10 Jahren gewesen... Also nicht zu lange daran festhalten - nach dem Crash folgt die Ernüchterung. Wobei ich zugeben muss: Die 25k sehen wir bestimmt nochmal. Bei vielen Menschen ist der Bitcoin erst in 2017 im Gedächtnis angekommen - das darf man nicht unterschätzen - aber es hat nichts mit Innovation zu tun, sondern eher mit FOMO-Hype..... Off topic, aber das macht ihr auch alle:
Mal ernsthaft. Der Bitcoin löst keines unserer Probleme, hinkt allen realen Systemen (Swift/Visa etc..) hinterher und ist nicht anonym, aber auch nicht transparent genug.
Wer braucht das im aktuellen Zustand? Euch ist schon klar, dass die Industrie diese neuen Technologien momentan aufsaugt und für ihre Zwecke nutzen möchte.
Mir ist allerdings kein Unternehmen bekannt, welches dafür einen BTC-Blockchain-Clone benutzt - klingelt da was?
Es geht schon lange nichtmehr darum Vermögenswerte von A nach B zu verschieben - es geht um viel mehr.
Deshalb gibts auch keine Bitcoin Enterprise Alliance, aber z.B. eine Ethereum Enterprise Alliance.
Wegschauen und auf BTC zu vertrauen ist OK - wenns um die private Vermögensverwaltung geht - wer aber in innovative Technologien investieren möchte und jetzt nicht ausschließlich auf Kurse fixiert ist, hat schon lange bemerkt, dass ein etwas breiteres Portfolio sinnvoll sein könnte. Natürlich gehören da auch ein paar Bitcoin rein - aber Bitcoin mit Ethereum zu vergleichen ist schon sinnfrei. Die Systeme haben bis auf die Idee einer Blockchain und der asymmetrischen Verschlüsselungen (im Moment noch das Consensus-Modell über PoW) nichts gemein und der Rest wird auch noch driften.

Nein, natürlich nicht. Smart Contracts, Oracles etc... Da sind andere schon viel besser aufgestellt, haben zudem POS, sind wesentlich flotter und haben allgemeine Akzeptanz. Letzteres ist wichtig - die werden nicht einfach verschwinden - nur weil ein Dinosaurier ein paar Features nachzieht. Cheers, Ray |

I very much appreciate you replying to my message. I actually believed the admins had disappeared and thought to provoke someone into responding after having no response through my contact on the Facebook group or this forum, previously.
When I mention owning the coin, I mean who is responsible for maintaining the administration around it. If it is not organised then this would explain why nothing much is happening. From your explanation is sounds like there is some organisation but it's most likely needing more resources and leadership.

Can not withdraw from CoinExchange as they are saying the wallet is in maintenance mood. Any idea?

It has been like this for months... Coinex doesn't want to sync their wallet although sending them a lot of tickets in which we explained them how to do it . No answer from them, no support at all. Got the file but these directions are for Windows. What to do on MAC?
NEW Wallet: Install Instructions
Make a Zeitcoin folder under C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\
Then Extract and copy the files from ZeitcoinBlockchainSnapShot.rar into
C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\Zeitcoin
Then open Zeitcoin and it will start syncing the BlockChain from the last snapshot.
On your Mac, do a Search for the Zeitcoin directory on your hard drive. When you find it extract the files into the zeitcoin directory and then start your zeitcoin wallet.  Hate to be that guy with so many prob/questions. Maybe this helps others. Did a search, couldn't find a Zeitcoin directory, just files for the wallet. ;( Finder, Goto (press Option Button), Library->Application Support->Zeitcoin Cheers, Ray |

Please change your passwords (and mailaccount) from time to time. :-) My computer had been successfully hacked. Hacker installed charles proxy, an outdated Java-Version and changed some (port) values in the router. Then he uses the proxy to login to amazon.com. He bought 3x 50.000 Amazon Coins and changed the account password. (2FA enabled) All mails during and after the hack where successfully deleted. That's it for now... The Zeitcoins are safe. Why its taking forever to synchronise?
I installed the bootstrap but still there is like 300k of blocks to download .. and its taking forever, 30k blocks downloaded in 20 hours.. unacceptable I won't run my computer for 1 week to do it.

run zeitcoin-qt.exe -seednode=zeitseed2.ddns.net
your 1st time, this will update your peers.dat
after it disconnects, then close the zeit wallet and restart normally
zeitcoin-qt.exe╥Aztek It's not needed. Binary has hardcoded Seednodes and if there's a previous peers.dat in your directory, you are double clear without doing anything. Don't use -seednode to add a single peer. It's not intended and you should use addnode=IP. With a seednode you get more than 1 IP directly from the DNS A record.
