Philipma1957 (a long time member here) has had good experiences with the HM Tech.
If you are in the US, you could also ask about repair from user lightfoot who has equipment and skills to do board repairs.

This Cointerra is a SHA-256 algorithm miner. You can mine Bitcoin or other SHA-256 algorithm coins with it.
You can't mine Ethereum with it... So answer to your question is: yes it's a bad idea
I mean, no offense, but even wasting a thought for this shit old museum miner is a total waste of time.

Hotmine already does this kind of boiler miners.
This is just a copycat and maybe a scam.

I think DJ Miner only has this website: www.whatsminer.netI would be suspicious about any other DJ Miner websites or email addresses.

If you are totally new in electrical works, you could also take the pieces to some electrical appliance repair shor or to some professional electrician.

Hahhahhah, where did you pull that price tag from? Are the prices for used gear that high in common now?
Sorry, but why would you buy spare parts for such old outdated miner?
I've seen really small amount of those miners even existing, worldwide.

Have you checked that there are no typos in the pool setting fields?
Have you tried other pools?

Replace the chip if you have tools needed
Replace the bad hash board

Yeah it gets harder to help if you choose some wonky unofficial firmware for the miner.

Why not use a Delta QFR1212GHE or other similar fan?

@madbiker2 See www.bitshopper.de , he is in Germany and he is a trusted GekkoScience reseller.

I haven't needed those methods, so unfortunately I don't know.
Have you tried to ask Canaan?
Canaan also changes the gear price in relation to the btc price, but maybe they are not as greedy as others.
Their gear has proven to be quite good in general.
