3421  Economy / Economics / Re: Are banks needed for crypto? on: October 21, 2021, 11:39:20 AM
Is there something similar in crypto? How does it work then? And are such services in demand? Do manufacturers take loans in crypto?

Isn't that killing DeFi idea? Is there a future for loan mechanism in crypto?
Implementing the lending feature in crypto is a not big deal which again does not guarantee that it will make banking system obsolete. Crypto will exist and fiats and traditional banking will exist to serve their own purposes until there would be some demand for these. I mean when no body prefer to use banks and fiats then it will be abandoned one day for sure.

Crypto can boom with our without banks; When time moves-on people will choose the better one and this way we could expect banks may not be needed for crypto users in near future.
3422  Economy / Economics / Re: Will circular economy work ? on: October 20, 2021, 09:30:35 PM
It is quite a good idea as it is going to be helping to reduce the rate of waste products in our environments. I have seen some people already saying that it wouldn’t be a good idea in some cases, for example: refurbishing of products such as smart phone reduces their quality.

Well, in this case I think if a refurbished phone is refurbished by the same company that owns that product it would still be as good as new, take for example, an Apple iPhone that’s refurbished by Apple itself would be as good as new or at least close to that, than when it is refurbished by just some random company that’s not owned by Apple itself. So this circular economy really makes sense, and if it can be applied properly, it would be good.
3423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How reasonable is the long-term investment in Altcoins? on: October 20, 2021, 07:16:18 PM
I think long-term investment in Altcoins is full of risks but short time investment is more profitable. Do you agree with me?
Yes you are right; altcoins are not good for long term holding. Some altcoins like ethereum and BNB might be getting you profits if you hold them for years but in general, most of the altcoins are losing its value over the time at least in terms of BTC value. If you consider USD values then some altcoins might be getting you profits, but like many people here I like to calculate my profits and losses only in BTC levels and not in USD or any other fiats wise.

So, overall altcoins are good only for short-term investment and some coins may get you profits in long-term holding but for the search of one or two good coins, we cannot risk on hundreds of altcoins.
3424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If there is a bull rally in nov-dec 21 then, which altcoin gives us 100x? on: October 20, 2021, 05:58:50 PM
I have heard that the bull rally will come by dec21. If that happens then there is a golden opportunity for investment right now. And if the bull rally comes. So the chances of 100x of the current investment are greatly increased. If you invest in good Altcoin, you will earn a lifetime. So you give me your advice.
You might be right, but I don’t wait for times like this to reach before I will start investing, I start investing in the coins I like before the time comes, that way I’m in a  better position than those who always wait for that time to reach.

But, I can’t tell you for sure that you’re going to be making hundred times within a short time as this, nah. If you have plans to be making hundred times, then you should be looking forward to going a longer term than just now. You know this is not before when the price was very low and any little thing can make it increase more than hundred times, now the price is way higher.
3425  Economy / Economics / Re: Really, why bitcoin has this value? on: October 20, 2021, 10:16:17 AM
I just don't get it when people say that bitcoin isn't speculated and all of these prices are just natural.
Let me try to explain with an example; do you agree the price of gold around $1800 per ounce? Is it natural or just speculative? I believe it is both natural (due to demand) and speculative (as only trading decide the price and not the mining/production cost).

Similarly bitcoin prices are decided by speculators and traders based on expected demand and it becomes "natural" over the time along with real time demand.

In short, expected demand helps people to speculate about future prices and then "hype" helps to realize those prices to make "natural" or actual. So, bitcoin has its value today due to both speculation and demand.
3426  Economy / Economics / Re: [LIST] Countries that own bitcoin on: October 20, 2021, 05:02:30 AM
also, i don't think some of these countries who already owned bitcoin will disclose their holdings to the public. i believe, we have more than El Salvador who is buying btc for their stash. and this is the reason why the OP has only El Salvador in his list so far. do you think these countries will publicly announce their crypto holdings? right now, i don't think so.
Right now, it's not possible for many countries to announce about this but as we have few countries openly announces and doing some soft policies about bitcoin and crypto hopefully in near future we will have some good news about this and many countries openly able to have bitcoin in reserve like Gold.

Future is bright and good for this as now mass adoption is doing very good and many big technology related companies and countries are had better ideas few months back I read few eastern European countries also having bitcoin in their reserves, but they also never disclose openly about this but hopefully this all will happen.
3427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk accidentally created a new cryptocurrency. WTF? on: October 19, 2021, 09:59:45 PM
I never really understood people who made trades based on what Elon tweets. Why would something called "floki" be increasing that much just because its elons dogs name? I mean it is obvious that speculation and manipulation is at a very high level. Let these go otherwise you are going to be making a huge loss in the long run.

I personally hope that people would eventually realize that they are making a horrible mistake with these trades. Dogecoin, Shiba, and obviously Floki, are not things that you should invest, a token based on a tweet is not something that you should spend money on. There are so many fundamentally good coins that you could buy, take a look at those if you want to make a profit.
3428  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do you explain the October pump? on: October 18, 2021, 09:52:00 PM
Why would we need someone who makes these type of decisions for us? I mean can't we just simply make something that would be basically realizing the fact that we could simply live something decent and end up not questioning the situation? Just realize that we are doing fine and that's it, live with the great situation we are in and forget about the reason.

I am enjoying this super increase this month and I ignore everything else, as long as it is high then I am fine with it. If you try to find reason behind every move that bitcoin is making then you are going to get crazy about what's going on, and then you will try to find every reason for every move and you will not be able to and it will drive you crazy.
3429  Economy / Economics / Re: Will governments capitulate and finally recognize Bitcoin as a legal tender? on: October 18, 2021, 08:51:08 PM
Someone pointed out that superpower countries are going to be the ones that are not going to accept it. Take China for example, with the way they are going do you think that they will ever want to adopt Bitcoin as a legal tender? I don’t think so.

Most of these big countries are not going to do that, you should also imagine England choosing bitcoin over their pounds sterling, and the United States choosing it over the United States Dollar, how possible could that be? If you look at all these things you would see that it’s really not going to work as you think. That El Salvador did it doesn’t mean that others are also going to do the same thing.
3430  Economy / Economics / Re: What will be the effects of China's central bank declaring all crypto illegal? on: October 17, 2021, 05:46:11 AM
The effect is not going to be any strong effect, so far we have seen how far the effect can go. I don’t think there is much that is going to happen and moreover this is no longer something that is going to be an issue to be much worried about since we already know what’s going to happen whenever the government carries out a rule like this; people are going to quickly move to making use of decentralized platforms.

We have seen these things happens in other places where Bitcoin has been banned, and people quickly switch to making use of P2P, so this can’t be stopped.
3431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: October 16, 2021, 08:09:43 PM
Real Sociedas - Mallorca.
Real Sociedas have won their last 3 matches against Mallorca at home. Mallorca has yet to hit Real Sociedas in the last 5 matches. Taking into account the poor form of Mallorca, we can assume a landslide victory for Real Sociedas.
Today Real Sociedad vs Mallorca was very good chance for home team to have their full 3 points and staying at top rank in League for one or more weeks but after end of first half they have very poor result now reduced to 10 men with Munoz is out with Red Card. Even First half was completely dominant by Real Sociedad, but now this is tricky situation for them playing with 10 men against 11 men is not easy even they are very strong.

But, they have to be very good for their full points because now next week they have very tight match against Atletico Madrid which is also seeking for top rank after this win.
3432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: After a few months of China crackdown on mining. Check it out! on: October 16, 2021, 06:06:29 PM
Their government has finally cracked down on cryptocurrency mining. That has been their plan right from time, although at times it got really confusing as to what they really need, whether they wanted to ban cryptocurrency or not, because they kept talking about this year’s, and after they have said you’re still going to see something that will make you say “oh, it’s not banned yet”.

It has continued like this for years in China until now. I guess they got more serious about it because they have released their own cryptocurrency which is the digital Yuan, and have decided to stop others so that their citizens will adopt their CBDC.

3434  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders Don't easily lend out money. on: October 11, 2021, 09:58:25 PM
It’s hard to lend money especially if we know we can use it to trade more and can give us profit but if we have extra and know friends who needed it then its fine as well if they will do trading too. While it’s safer to invest or trade using the money we only have if we know we are good enough in trading and capabilities on making our money grown then it’s okay to loan for money but not to ask for all. I have know someone who is a trader from forex trading  company who is knowledgeable in trading , some of her salary is saved and decided to loan some extra from friends as capital. If we know we have capacity to pay and set our goals and mind on what to do then it’s good to try provided we set schedule, and gives interest to a loan.
I have 2 friends that I would die for, and I would be willing to give them all the money I have, all the things I own and even one kidney (need the other). However aside from that there are not really any people I would give money to and I do not have to, I do not have to do it for that 2 friends neither if I do not want to but I personally would be ok with just those two.

At the end of the day we are all responsible for our own finances and if we are paying taxes then it is upto government to help people with that money. All in all I would imagine that it is clear for people to end up being as rich as possible in capital so that they could trade and if someone asks them to give their money then it makes no sense, why would I not only give you my money but also lose my capital that I trade with? Let everyone earn their own money and not beg others for money.
3435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is USDT a trustable? on: October 11, 2021, 09:51:27 PM
If you don't trust USDT, you can just simply convert your USDT into USD or GBP or Euro or any other currency you trust. There should be one fiat that you trust the most and with most of exchanges, that's not a problem.
The problem in converting into any of those fiats is, you may need to clear KYC for doing so. In most countries you cannot sell your crypto for fiats without unveiling your identifications. So, this is the reason why most people here are still depending on tether and other stablecoins.

Even usdt is not trustable fully, I guess for time being may go with it but only in small amount and only for short duration of holding.
3436  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you want to quit trading ? on: October 11, 2021, 09:38:32 PM
There is no need for me to quit trading. For a trader to be successful you need to learn first before you earn. Don't just jump into the market because you'll pay the price with careless mistakes. I can't quit trading because from time to time it gives me the opportunity to earn from my comfort zone. Trading is very nice when done and practiced with a great discipline. I'll continue to be a trader.
Okay, when you are reasonably profitable with your trading then I guess that you never need to quit it for losing something time to time. I have seen people who lost up to 90% of capital and then gone for improving their analytical skills then then recovered all their capital and finally quit trading completely after securing all the capital; but if I were that person then I may continue to trade to make more profits how I recovered that capital.
3437  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin trading? can Bitcoin trading profitable without having lost? on: October 11, 2021, 09:19:39 PM
Basically the crypto market will not always move according to the predictions and analysis that we have set because market movements will change from time to time, thus making traders have to be ready at all times to face losses, so before trading we should first understand the strategy and psychology of trading in order to minimize losses when we enter the market.
Yes you're right. But in my opinion anyone who wants to make money from trading then definitely he should be ready to accept losses which might be happening time to time but keeping your losses at the minimum level is fully depending on your skill levels.

This means you cannot ignore losses completely but you can keep it at minimum level which means you can make more profits than your losses. This is how anyone can be profitable in bitcoin trading even among small losses.
3438  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is Happier: Stock investors or Bitcoin investors on: October 11, 2021, 08:14:07 PM
They happier one between the two is the one who is satisfied with his achievement. The goal is not just been wealthy through either of this source  alone either (stocks or crypto) but been able to stand the volatility of the market when the bear season comes which is more vulnerable to strong bearish trends. Both Warren Buffett and Michael Saylor are happy with their net worth but who is happier amongst the two I cannot tell
Who is happier, cause being happy as a trader depends on how successful a trader. My feeling is those invest in stock do not want to invest in bitcoin, they are happy with stock and do not need bitcoin.

And same case happening with bitcoin investors because they are feeling good. However, if we consider this issue more broadly, then probably there is still a better direction for investment, but everyone should choose this for himself. Crypto is still a lot better, but that doesn't make stocks that bad, neither.
3439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One of the best coin Bitcoin on: October 11, 2021, 03:33:17 PM
In the world of online platforms, 80% of people are now involved in information and communication technology. Cryptocurrency is now the most popular of these different types of information and communication technology sites. Cryptocurrency is now in the best position. Bitcoin is one of the best cryptocurrency tokens. Which is now called the lifeblood of cryptocurrency. In addition to Bitcoin, there are some popular coins such as Ethereum. By 2025, cryptocurrency will be 80% inclined. No matter how low the price of Bitcoin, Bitcoin will remain popular.
I don’t think there is going to be any alternative coin that will be able to overtake Bitcoin as the number one cryptocurrency we have in the market. A lot of crypto currencies have been released after Bitcoin, and a lot of them came with different ideas and different approach and even tried to replace Bitcoin in so many ways, but it still never worked out.

So at this point, I don’t think there’s going to be any of them that will be able to replace it for now. Some have said that having as lower transaction and higher fees will make it easy for alternative coins to replace Bitcoin, but we know that that is not the truth, because there have been a lot of cryptocurrencies that were released with cheaper fees for transactions and faster rates, but they have all not been able to come close to Bitcoin.
3440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: October 11, 2021, 09:41:02 AM
The game of the week could be Leicester - Manchester United in the next round of the Premier League. Manchester United are trying to have better results as they don't have a decent form now. Ole Solskjaer may need to develop a new strategy to get a win in this game. But I don't expect such thing from him to do. Therefore, the same game plan might not work well against Leicester. Maybe Leicester are not having their best time so far but they are still a dangerous team. I'll still be favoring Manchester United in this game but they should be well-prepared for a very tough game here.
Currently, both teams in not good shape but Manchester United is staying at good spot and Leicester City is struggling as they have only 2 wins from Seven games. They are struggling to find goals and having awful defense which is under heavily punishment from all teams. No match without conceding goal most chances they are going to lose this match against Manchester United at home because now they are doing some good and having better strategy can give them win this match which is very important for them as now after this they have game in Champions League as well.
