Happy to announce a new player has taken the top spot on the Hall of fame, and another is slowly climbing the charts a big congrats to you both!
We are less than 24 hours into the week and they have already earned rake/Cashback club BTC on top of their current winnings. Playing at https://betterbets.io is a smart choice for gamblers who see the value in the volume they create!

I was watching MakingBank last night pretty much from the beginning (using the "spy" feature -- which is awesome). He almost busted multiple times throughout the run but ended up on top. It was fun to watch, Smiley.
3462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does martingale really works? on: August 31, 2015, 05:44:39 AM
Inverse martingale really works , but not that really , you are thinking ...........

It doesn't work but you have better chances in making money because you are betting more when you are winning and betting less when you are losing.

The best way is to bet small, and get about 20 winners in a row and double your bet each time. Very emotional and stressful to do.

Apparently I'm missing something. Inverse martingale means you increase on wins, decrease on losses. So:

Win 1
Win 2
Win 4
Lose 8 (-1)
Win 1
Win 2
Win 4
Win 8
Lose 16 (-1)

How can that possibly result in a net win?
3463  Economy / Services / Re: How to start your own Social Media business on: August 31, 2015, 04:59:12 AM
1. go to fiverr.com
2. resell from there

or look for wholesale sites / open a social exchange. it's that easy Smiley

Those are all fake/botted and have no value or benefit.

Fellow Betcoiners, just be happy that Betcion did not offer the freebuys...In BCP they are a joke...they cancelled the 3PM 6k six minutes into the tourney...then on the 6PM 2k they cancel 2 hours into the tourney...then the 8PM 8K they cancel within 2 minutes...unreal shit.

What is "BCP?" And what is a "freebuy?" Like where it's a freeroll and you can rebuy?

BCP is Black Chip Poker in same network WPN for tournaments as Betcoin.  Freebuy is a freeroll that you can rebuy or add on.

Ahhh, thanks. Hadn't heard of Black Chip Poker before. It does suck having tournaments canceled right before they're supposed to start, though, Sad.

Take a look in Deltacredits [DCR] , first coin with decreasing supply , still very cheap if you want to invest  Smiley
Deltacredits BTC thread : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1155319.0

Horrible, horrible idea. A "deflationary" currency that is backed by a negative-ROI business? No.
3466  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can I invest? on: August 31, 2015, 03:54:04 AM
I would say strictly avoid the wapsites which says come and invest with me and I will pay you double after this week they will just run away with your funds..if you want to take a small percent oglf risk then trading is a good iption and don't go for the cloud minings..they are not much profitable

uco1 was a website about cloud mining and to withdraw money you had to invest in their site, and the minimum payout was hard to reach. And it become to scam since their website is not working !!!

i think that site is already scam. i have lost my investment at there Sad
i enough to try invest in cloud mining service better i save my money to buy miner hardware

Mining hardware is also going to result in a loss. Unless you can afford to fabricate your own hardware, you're not going to make even, much less profit. Buy Bitcoin itself instead.
it is currently difficult to mine more difficult, if the mine itself at home only with hardware bit, the results can be sure, however, if participating pool probably be able to get ROI

Mining whether solo or in a pool is irrelevant. Your potential ROI is equal over time. Therefore, if one isn't profitable, the other isn't, either. You're never going to profit with either one of them. You'd make a LOT more with LESS risk by just buying BTC outright.
3467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many of you feel ashamed for recommending Bitcoin to family & friends? on: August 31, 2015, 03:52:36 AM
Bitcoin isn't going anywhere. Just sit tight and you'll be a winner at the end.

This is naive, at best. Bitcoin was never made to be a get-rich-quick scheme. It's a method of transferring wealth. If it were a guaranteed way to profit, every hedge fund/investor in the world would be all-in on it. Hint: it's not guaranteed, and it's HIGHLY risky.
How is it naive ?

Never said this :Bitcoin was never made to be a get-rich-quick scheme......

People who treat Bitcoin as other then a qet rich quick scheme are going to win in the end...

"Just sit tight and you'll be a winner at the end." This insinuates that the price is going to go up. If someone bought in at $1200 (peak), it means it would have to go back up there. Otherwise, how could they possibly "win?"
3468  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetterBets.io |Win XBOX/PS4| huge rake+VIP| DICE★PLINKO★HORSE RACING on: August 31, 2015, 03:51:18 AM
Cashback/rake and affiliate payments have been sent out, due to limitations on the amount you can transfer (must be at least 10k satoshis) for affiliates the amounts will be rolled over until next week then released as they reach at least 10k sats. Good luck this week to all our players, the new volume based cashback club week starts anew right now. Highest paid player this week earned 0.4 BTC, the Gold VIP bonus reward of 5.5 BTC is still available along with normal rake payments. We have given a Cashback Total: 16.46 Bitcoin back to players since this program started thank you everyone for playing as always.

Is there any way to see the rolled over (pending) amounts, just to follow from month to month as needed?
3469  Economy / Securities / Re: Anything sustainable worth of investing? on: August 31, 2015, 03:49:22 AM
I've seen a total of one business that was a legitimate opportunity. The rest have been obviously run by people that don't know what's going on and hope that just by making a crypto business they're going to make millions.

Any chance that opportunity was Gethashing?
I know cloud mining has a bad reputation these days, but the operation is the most transparent I've been involved with so far.
The group has also actively developed (and continues to improve) a full platform around using the open assets protocol including a web wallet (using SALT so everything is stored client side), an asset exchange, and a BTC/colored coin block explorer.

We just finished relocating our first of two batches of hardware to a new DC this weekend so interesting times are ahead!
https://forum.gethashing.com/t/ghfarm-batch-1-relocation-updates/5058?u=thepeddler

6 months and running so far.
With all the developments over that time, maybe some of the skeptics 4+ months ago should take another look  Smiley

It wasn't. I generally stray away from cloud mining just due to the nature (you essentially rely on an unknown variables for 1+ year, in an already risky environment). You end up with over 10 different risk factors, and I just can't fathom ever taking that leap unless the reward was actually worth it (we're talking a 100-bagger, at the least).

3471  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Advertise Your Website for just 0.00001 per 1000 Impressions on: August 31, 2015, 03:47:05 AM
A large portion of your traffic is from traffic exchange sites, meaning that most of your visitors don't even care about the content on the website.

This is a growing trend here. At least OP doesn't get hostile when you bring it up. People keep threatening me when I expose that their "50k+ visitors per month" aren't even real and have no value.

I'm reducing the use of traffic exchange sites.

In the next week I will show again the traffic grafics to enforce what I'm saying.

However, the 0.00001 price per 1000 impressions still being a good deal.

Looking forward to seeing updated charts, Smiley.
3472  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC investment on: August 31, 2015, 03:43:05 AM
First of all try to get a clear cut distinction between what is investment and what is ponzi..
All investments are not ponzis but all ponzis are investments..
Try to get a clear thought in it before you do anything with your btcs..
Best of luck

Look at ROI rate or price.  If they are super low prices (especially things like cloud mining) then there is a good chance of ponzi.  If you have a investment that promises tons of ROI really quick.. chances are ponzi.

I think common sense comes into the decision alot.

If you're going to invest, you need to evaluate the business itself. 99.99% of the people here throw their money blindly at anything and everything, then claim "scam" after, when it was an obvious scam to begin with. If someone has to ask what a good investment is, they shouldn't be investing.

This thread has gone on far to long my quote is from April Smiley.   But you should do lot's of research and evaluation.

With cloud mining look for concrete information they even have miners, most cand even do this.  We have seen some that are photo shopped pics to make data centers.  There is a famous one where every blue rack looks exactly the same, they were copied and pasted.

I agree sadly some throw money before looking into it at all.  This should never happen but it does.

Cloud mining, by its very nature, is going to cause a loss of funds. Whether the company is legitimate or not doesn't even matter. The math speaks for itself. You will not ROI with cloud mining. It doesn't matter what company. It doesn't matter how much you throw at it. You've lost the second you pay.

Hey guys,

Is anyone insterested in me making a guide on how to create your own social media business? Like how do people sell X followers or likes for X bitcoins. Its sort of easy and there are several methods.

So can you provide any vouch copy to a trusted member for review, it would be helpful to let know the other members you have legit method to create social media business.
I didnt create it yet, but if there is any interested I will create it.

Hey guys,

If you mean real followers/likes, sure. Most "businesses" are selling fake ones, and there are more than enough sites that automate that (but they have no value).
If I do create anything like this, I will go with every single available option, fakes ones, real ones, website ones, traffic ones, and so on...

Sounds good. Are you planning to charge for it, by the way? Or is it more of a freebie thing?
3474  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I have 0.02 btc , want to invest on: August 31, 2015, 03:36:40 AM
you'll just waste your time as 0.02btc is less than $5 at the moment.
even if you find an altcoin which price might double, you will only get $5.

buy/earn some more btc until you reach 0.4 then invest.

If he can't build 0.02 BTC up to 0.4, what makes you think he'll build 0.4 up to anything meaningful? Start at the bottom.
3475  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the safest and simplest way to keep bitcoins? on: August 31, 2015, 03:35:42 AM
Sure, the paper wallet is the safest option, but how? For example, suppose I wanted to save a considerable amount of money in bitcoins (in my case I will take the example of R $ 100), so I have to let it all just in this paper wallet?

"Paper wallet" doesn't necessarily mean paper. Paper wallets also include "brain wallets," where you use a password nobody can guess/crack and use that anytime you need to generate the proper address. In this case, only you know the information, and you're not relying on paper. On top of this, you're remembering a password, rather than a long address.
i think "paper wallet" is easy to crack, if the password or phrase you're is so easy..
so you should be careful if you want to choose a word that is in use, should consist of some combination

You don't use a word, you use a phrase. Like "I'll bet you could never figure out why the zebra humps purple rhino xylophones" -- the chance of someone cracking that is almost nil.
3476  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I have 0.02 btc , want to invest on: August 30, 2015, 09:39:50 PM
I don't really see how an increase in value should lead to inflation. How does that work?

I mean, the inflation was not higher when the Bitcoin was at its all time high was it? I mean, the prices did not rise at that moment because 'the bitcoin has a high value'.

In the end, the amount of BTC is limited.

$2 million * 21 million = valuation of $41 TRILLION. That's why it would be related. The only way we're getting to a $41t valuation is if fiat crashes altogether and disappears or if it becomes so devalued that we have zillions of USD floating around.
3477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many of you feel ashamed for recommending Bitcoin to family & friends? on: August 30, 2015, 09:37:53 PM
It's never worth dragging your family and friends into your own private investment fever. What happens will always be your fault. Crash? Your fault. Hacked because they're slack? Your fault. Price goes to the moon? Your fault for not persuading them to buy more.

That's good advice and it applies to much more than Bitcoin. I brought things on ebay for family but found myself getting the blame if anything was defective. Luckily I kept quiet about Bitcoin and I'm sure I would have got the blame if they lost money buying it. On top of that I have the feeling they would spend so much time asking me when they should buy, and when they should sell that I would be left with little time to myself.

I've been the local "ask about Bitcoin" guy, but there's no way I can explain everything to people that they want to know. That said, if you explain that it's like a stock and can drop/rise at any second (but is more volatile than normal stocks), it usually gets the risk factor across.
3478  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I have 0.02 btc , want to invest on: August 30, 2015, 09:31:39 PM
Go buy you a nice meal with 0.02. You don't earn any noticeable amount with 0.02BTC. Wink
its better to save it, there was a guy who bought 2 pizzas with hundreds of bitcoins as it was first btc purchase and now he could buy thousands of pizzas...

We'll never see that price jump again ever. You need a couple of tenfolds raise, that won't happen again.

This. When the pizzas were bought, BTC had pretty much no value. So let's assume it was $0.01 (it was actually more like $0.0003) each. At today's price, that's a 230000% increase. To do this again, it would require an increase from $200 to ~$4 million each.

How great would that be Smiley

But that is the exact point I tried to explain earlier. 0.02 is not much, but if you for example choose the right altcoin to invest in, you might in the end have a great ROI. Or, you might end up nothing. But that's investing.

It wouldn't be great at all. If that happened, it means the fiat world has completely tanked as well, meaning that $2 million has no value anymore. People like this idea of being "rich," but it means nothing if money has no value. Look at Zimbabwe. A loaf of bread is $5 trillion. "Yay, I have $1 trillion now! Oh, I can't even buy bread?"

3480  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] AdBTC - Bitcoin advertising network - free traffic for everyone! on: August 30, 2015, 09:06:39 PM
Just a few facts:

Today - only one ad has bought shares for 0.001 btc and will get 40000+ impressions today in all of our sites.

Tomorrow and the days after - noone has bought shares yet, so for any price bigger than 273 satoshis if there are no other promoters your ad will also get 40k+ impressions across our whole network.

This makes our curent CPM price at around 6 satoshis Smiley

How many clicks has this been equating to (daily)? And are you evaluating whether sites have real or fake traffic? Millions of fake hits at 6 satoshis are a rip-off. 100 real hits at 100 satoshi is valuable.

Of course. We have a fake traffic detection (not 100% accurate, but good enough) and more importantly you can check your unique clicks. Even every ip, so you could check your traffic yourself.

Last day there were 90 unique clicks in the whole network. But we have no guarantees if people will click - we just show your ad.

Yep, completely understand on the click numbers. The ad itself matters more than anything as to if people are going to click or not, but that information still helps, Smiley. Thanks!
