2481  Economy / Securities / Re: HEDGE FUND BTC on: October 28, 2015, 01:27:43 AM
Can someone share some quick financials? Mainly:

1) Cost per share (latest I saw was ~1 mBTC)
2) Historical/estimated ROI per month/year

I've owned HLFTC shares for about a year and a half, fiat wise I've just about broke even (LTC was $10+ when I invested), but in terms of Litecoin its been a fantastic investment (recouped more than initial investment in dividends, share price is up ~8x).

Very nice! Where are they traded now? I've been trying to visit the Litecoininvest page since yesterday and it's always offline.

I hope next days LitecoinInvest return online ;-)
Our Fund buy it.

You mean your fund is the one that purchased the site?
2482  Economy / Securities / Re: Anything sustainable worth of investing? on: October 27, 2015, 02:54:33 AM
Probably invest in a good trading bot, set it up in a VPS then master how to profit from trades. Light it up to do ping-pong trades 24/7. That is one sustainable investment.

Have you actually managed to do that? Cause most of my trades ve generated very limited success, this is why I have suggested less volatile investments.

I'll give you a hint: if it were stable and secure, every investor in the world would already be doing it.
2483  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot.com :: The bitcoin gambling wallet on: October 27, 2015, 02:52:43 AM
I've transferred ownership of the app DustDice to a third party, who can hopefully promote and improve the game to it's full potential. So from now on, DustDice will not be an officially supported MoneyPot app =)

Was it sold or just given?
2484  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] HaoBTC, mining dividend paid out hourly on: October 27, 2015, 12:01:52 AM
The hashrate may drop at some point as we plan to sell a bunch of miners to make room for the new ones that we have already paid for.
Oh, very exciting!  What gear are you bringing online?  You have been very successful so far using "older" gear that others have sold off, so I was wondering if this is new new gear, meaning more efficiency, or more previous generation gear?

Hi yslyung,

Your deposit of -----...BTC was added to your balance and the ------ BTC correctly reflected your balance.

Should you really be publishing user's balances and transaction details in a public forum?

That was ill-considered. Removed.

Thanks for that. And yeah, definitely shouldn't post user balances without their consent (huge privacy violation).

hi guys, thx for keeping an eye out & yes that's why i did not post any numbers or too much details here but i did mention/provide more details in pm + wechat to eric.

I made the statement in my post :

"as a security precaution, i have made a full withdrawal for time being till the issue is resolved. the full withdrawal went smooth. just the deposit i made did not show up in my Bitcoin balance & the lost of interest over 20 hrs or so & the deposited BTC is NOT in my account & in the withdrawal that I just made.

please refer to the snapshots i have sent to you via wechat & hope to hear from you soon."

Now not only security worries, PRIVACY too. I don't mean to be a PITA but this is a big no no for posting balances or details of account in a open public forum. Maybe haobtc is too transparent ?

Now even more confidence is lost with haobtc. I had lots fo confidence even at the very beginning but now my mind has changed.

Apologies for not seeking your consent publishing those numbers, i did spend a moment considering if it was appropriate but since they were no longer current by the time I posted them, i though they would be of no to little consequence.
In my defense, I may have a slightly different notion of piracy with some of you - for instance, in the past I posted screenshots of my account details onto my Twitter account, and in this particular case, since a user was suggesting that the service was at fault for not showing the correct balance, I felt compelled to defend the reputation of our service to avoid more people to panic and might have been a bit too eager.
HaoBTC has paid out 500BTC in interest since its launch and nobody lost money with us. Of late, we have seen strong growth in users, while that is good for the company, for me personally, the amount of emails I need to respond exponentiates, meaning the time I can spend on an individual case is less. Also, I may not check this thread as regularly as before, but that doesn't mean we are running away with your money.

Even if it's not current, it still gives an idea of liquid net worth. Not good in the crypto world.

Aren't all cloud mining sites ponzis?  Huh

Not really but most of them nowadays were ponzis , the only legit cloud mining services I know so far were from bit-x and hasnest, the rest were ponzis ( I know there's few legit left, kindly post here if I missed one Cheesy )

Also regarding to the post above me, kindly check his trust ratings before believing what he's saying Roll Eyes

I agree with you check it...
two negative trust:
one from a member who supposes I'm a scammer
one from a members who agree the first one.
and
one positive trust from a winspiral's site user knowing about what he talks...
yes it is very important to check my trust points...
I agree with your trust points...negative or positive, you can of course trust who you want...
But i do not agree if someone says i'm a scammer or i run a scam.

FWIW, I don't know if Winspiral's opportunity is worth investing in, but I will say that I've yet to see an actual user claim they were scammed. It's all been speculation between users, rather than hard, solid proof. So I'd say he's legitimate in terms of his offers.

So far I have never seen a claim about scam...
that profit are low it is no need to say it,because I'm the first to say it.
what can people say negative about winspiral him self?
Nothing...

Well seems like you've convinced a legendary member with your words Roll Eyes Yes you've never scammed someone and no one ever claimed they've been scam. It's all bcuz you're only waiting for a big investor then run away Cheesy Typical ponzi Wink

He hasn't convinced me of anything. He's been around a long time and nobody has ever complained. In essence, the community itself speaks.
2486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice game strategy? on: October 26, 2015, 09:21:26 PM
I think there really is no strategy at all. You can always lose as it is the nature of Gambling. The house always wins. Therefore, just gamble with money that you can afford to lose. Just my opinion  Roll Eyes

You don't always lose, you have a high probability of losing.  There actually is a difference whether you think there is or not.  I do agree with your 2nd opinion though, play with what you can lose and you should be more happy.

That is why I think that is it best to use the free coins from faucets as you won't lose practically anything, since you really didn't spend any money when gambling.  Smiley

So you spend 100000 satoshi you got in 10 hours. You could have worked for 10 hours, earned 0.5 BTC instead, and gambled a hell of a lot more. Your idea, therefore, is false.

3) Save in interest-bearing BTC accounts
4) Start an online service and solicit donations via Bitcoin
5) Complete micro-tasks to get Bitcoin
6) Sell your items
7) Sell your services
Cool Watch videos and get paid in Bitcoin
9) Listen to an online radio and earn Bitcoin
10) Bitcoin faucets
11) Getting involved with Altcoins
12) Affiliate programs
13) Publish online ads
U can try this methods to earn btc.
Thanks

Wow that's one good list of earning bitcoins! I'm just curious about the second one, what's so special with chinese exchanges Huh Is there any difference with an english one between a chinese one? Would you care to explain?

The top Chinese ones have no trade fees. When doing a lot of trading, that is a huge difference. Imagine you trade 1 BTC back and forth building it up 200x in a day. You'd have paid at least 1 BTC in fees on U.S. exchanges. On Chinese, ZERO. Smiley

Oh I see, so its because of the zero fees, I'm gonna make some more research about that, seems interesting Cheesy

Thanks for the explanation man!

Really big list. But most of them are not good enough paying ways.

I know, but it would be very helpful to bitcoin newbies that the only way they know how to earn bitcoins is through faucets only Wink

NP! If you trade on margin I also believe one of them offers like 40x leverage and another is higher. I personally don't deal with that or use the Chinese exchanges though, so someone else would need to confirm.
2490  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can I invest? on: October 26, 2015, 08:03:24 AM
I think the most safe way where to invest is bitcoin.
From the last week the price of bitcoin has been increased too much.
I would not recommend investing in hyip/money double neither to cloud mining.

you are right, but bitcoin nearly $300. if you believe bitcoin will continue to rise? or will fall back?

If something is increased one day it will decreased too.
So for now i don't think it will fall back because it is only rising.
I hardly believe that at the end of the month price will reach $300.

in fact we are already dropping strong, it was another dead cat bounce as expected, until we can see a really new ath for a long time

i'm not buying those random pump

There's heavy manipulation. Nothing new, and will continue on. The downside of being an unregulated currency.

I don't get involved in giving others advice on investments. I'm not your . I'm not a registered Fiduciary advisor. I'm not your stock broker.

Do your own due diligence. You'll find that for every 100 businesses on here, MAYBE one has a chance to make a profit.

I assure you, Friend, I haven't mistaken you for a 'financial advisor,' a 'registered Fiduciary advisor,' or (and this I wish to impress upon you with all the force of which I am capable), surely not for my stock broker. You worried for naught Smiley

I but begged you to further regale us with your wonderful stories of profitable bitcoin-denominated investments.

Take a look at PoS coins. Most of them are junk but there are a few which re quite interesting. Staking is a new form of crypto mining which does not require chips, electricity or anything other then investment.

The issue is most PoS coins are just that: a PoS. There are really only a couple that bring something useful other than being a new coin.

Do not even think of playing betcoin for cash games. I took a 100 hour session where the odds of the repeated 2 outters and other suckouts were so minsicule I could have probably won the powerball.

I WILL NEVER WASTE MY TIME PLAYING CASH ON BETCOIN EVER EVERY AGAIN. It's a a complete and utter waste of time, period. I think the algorithims are screwed up and I think there is massive collusion and cheating.

The tournaments MAY be a different story. I've always thought online poker was better for tournaments anyway. But if you are gonna try betcoin, try that route and don't even THINK about playing a cash game.

I can't say anything but "lol." It's all random. Get over it. The same thing happens in RL.
2493  Economy / Gambling / Re: Get FREE Bitcoins and win AMAZON gift cards in Provably Fair games! | BitGame on: October 26, 2015, 06:46:32 AM
Hello guys, we're happy to announce that we've added Provably Fair feature to our platform.
Now you can check it on any game page.
So go play our fair games, invite friends and win Amazon gift cards right now!

I'm a bit lost as to why Amazon GCs are being sold. Based on what I could tell, you just buy them at what looks like market price. Why not just withdraw winnings instead?
It's an additional feature that gives players ability to instantly get something cool for their winnings, and they love it. Plus we also have ability to withdraw bitcoins as well  Smiley

Ahhh, got you. I was hoping I missed something and there was like a huge benefit to choosing Amazon over others (some reward programs offer AMZN for like 10% off), :p.
2494  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Purse.io - Bitcoin Amazon Marketplace - Save ~10-25% on Amazon Wishlist on: October 26, 2015, 05:19:22 AM
I'm considering using purse to purchase components for a new PC i'm going to buy. A question I have is that if I use purse name your discount to buy the parts will their warranties still work?

Great question, I'm thinking the same. I think since it's a gift you will by entitled to the discount as you were the recipient.

Hope the rep pops back into the thread, I actually had to Google the thread to find it on here.

The items are purchased for full price by someone so that doesn't affect anything as long as you have a receipt (which should come with each package). It shouldn't be a problem (but don't take that as a verified statement).
2495  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetterBets.io |Secure & Trusted|Weekly Rake+VIP|DICE★PLINKO★HORSE RACING on: October 26, 2015, 05:17:27 AM
Yah the 10 btc one is but the norm rake isn't that's simple to get a few hundred btc wagered. 5000 is...not so easy.
Lobos what's next in for development? I see you just got back after bring away. Lot of investors are curious myself included.

Hi, I was forced to take a break from development due to some urgent family affairs ... the immediate thing has been taken care off and while the root issue (grave illness of my mother) will probably resurface at a later date, I'm now back and devoting time to development again. So you can expect some news in the near future.

Glad to see things are better for you! Do you happen to have an ETA (like a month, 3 months) for the next game? Smiley.

Or maybe start it slow, whats the next feature / cool thing that you are going to add. Bjorn said that it will be atleast 6 games at christmas and I think you are running out of schedule now

I wasn't aware they were shooting for 6 by then, but due to the delay, I wouldn't hold them up to that if he really did say it before. BB has been a great site, though, so I'm more for transparency than hostility in my questions, :p.
2496  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: [ANN] MinerFarm - Virtual Mining Game for Real Bitcoin on: October 26, 2015, 05:16:26 AM
It still hurts those that were repairing and now can't mine because they can't activate their systems...

That said, it sucks, that it's yet another site being attacked for seemingly no reason.
For sure aliser will do something regarding that to make up the loss ... And as to the site being under dos attack with no reason, your wrong since minerfarm has grown popular in recent weeks and months so many will try to damage the website and to ruin aliser's work for that matter

Then what is their reason for doing that, if I'm wrong? What do they gain?

New logo!

Are you planning to have a wave for USA? Hopefully for the same amount (25 euro), :p.

Unfortunately the USA is the slowest moving place out of the entire world in terms of working with Banks.

Yeah, I definitely agree with that. Some aren't too hostile, though! So you are planning to be fully licensed to work with U.S. banks?
2498  Economy / Securities / Re: Have an arbitrage opporunity. Looking for investor. on: October 26, 2015, 05:15:01 AM
I think he wanted to arbitrage the price difference between Bitstamp and Bitfinex a few days ago. They were off by like $4-5 or so.
Even at this difference he can not make any profit due to charges on fiats (USD, EUR etc) may be he could make it an investment ebook and give it to a highly trusted member to vouch it then we can buy it if we finds it interesting.

Charges are flat rate. $50 on $50 is 100%. $50 on $5000 is 1%. $50 on $500k is 0.01%. I could go on but I'm guessing you get the point.
I actually did not get any point here because if the i should buy at the rate of $365 and sell for $370 (for example) i will be left with $5, if i now purchase 10 btc, my profit will be 10x5= $50, this profit can easily be eating up by wire transfer, visa card charges or perfect money commission.

Right. So now you bought 100 instead. That's a profit of 500-50=450. I'm not seeing the issue? The more investors had put in, the higher the profit would have been. Just like any other trading system in the world. It's nothing new/complicated. But that also doesn't mean it isn't risky.

Except for the slippage. You can't scale arbitrage all the way up. Because buying on Site A will make the price go up there, and Selling on site B will make the price go down there, meaning you will make less and less profit every time you make the trade, which is why we gave you the correct answer that should be given to everyone claiming to have an arbitrage opportunity, "why aren't you doing it before it goes away?"

Because not everyone has the cash on hand at that moment? Why does Wal-Mart take out loans instead of just spending cash to build out more locations? Same reason.
2499  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] HaoBTC, mining dividend paid out hourly on: October 26, 2015, 05:13:28 AM
A suggestion: One way to check HaoBTC Kangding farm's real-time hashrate:
BTCKan is a fairly popular Chinese BTC portal probably mostly known for its popular BTC price charting and news aggregation app. One feature that is often overlooked is that the site also allows users to check the real-time hashrate of some large miners including us.
Here is how:
1. Go to: http://btckan.com/miner
2. Click "Hash rate publicity"

3.
This is what you will get: The total hashrate, daily mining dividends - 87.6173 as of the time of writing and whatnot

Note that the hashrate fluctuate slightly with time and sometimes we do have to turn off the switch for maintenance - don't panic when the number is zero.

Eric, it looks like two of your facilities have been offline for a while (HAOBTC康定A4 and haobtc康定S5).  Is everything alright?

Might be routine maintenance or transformer failure - I will ask my colleague there to make sure. The hashrate may drop at some point as we plan to sell a bunch of miners to make room for the new ones that we have already paid for.

I wasn't even aware we can check HaoBTC's daily earnings. This transparency is HUGE to me and makes me feel a lot better about trusting the site, Smiley. Now you just need to get an affiliate system back up (I sent affiliates and it sucks to get nothing even though originally we were supposed to).
