2501  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] a-ads.com: advertise your business, monetize your traffic, earn with us! on: October 26, 2015, 05:04:33 AM
Automatically sending coins from our balance to our non-funded campaigns might need some more thought. One of my ads which I want to be paused right now automatically started advertising itself again!

If my campaign has zero coins in it, this meant before that the ad was paused until I added more funds, but with this new coin top-up change all of my campaigns flipped the on switch without warning and spent funds in a way I didn't approve of.

If I wanted my campaigns to have automatic top-ups, I would have set my publisher ads as "pay to campaign" instead.

Now if we hold any balance in our accounts, we have no control over a maximum spend on our ad campaigns, unless we go back in there afterwards and manually set the daily budget down to nothing.

------
Also, the website is showing a "heavy load" warning.

"This website is under heavy load

We're sorry, too many people are accessing this website at the same time. We're working on this problem. Please try again later."

This is definitely concerning... though there's no way to simply pause campaigns? This seems like a core part of having one.

2503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice game strategy? on: October 26, 2015, 05:02:05 AM
The less bets you make the less you will feel the house edge.
It is more of a varience, even with little house edge, people would still be experiencing huge loss streaks in the long term. However, it is still possible to experience such streaks on your first few bets.

It depends on how long did you play it. With little house edge I guess you will get some profit in a long run rather than small run because from what I see before the longer you play the close the number between under and lower so house edge is really play a role on long run. I dont know if others is still have the same way or not
The long run would have to be very long and with a huge bankroll. The varience would not allow the results to be near each other, for example, you can still experience streaks of 20 in the long run even with 0 house edge. Just try to flip a coin, you are bound to get a huge streak of heads/tails. House edge is basically just an assurance to the house that they will make profit.

Technically, their assurance is the max. bets and max. wins. Those alone render any possible strategy irrelevant. The house edge just means they win more short-term too.

Wow that's one good list of earning bitcoins! I'm just curious about the second one, what's so special with chinese exchanges Huh Is there any difference with an english one between a chinese one? Would you care to explain?

Really big list. But most of them are not good enough paying ways.

Well, yeah... the only way to earn a lot is to run a business or work. It's money. You earn it like money. Welcome to the real world.
2505  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] Mellow Ads - simple, bitcoin advertising. NEW free faucet!! on: October 26, 2015, 04:08:56 AM

btw, It means you cannot use the "Withdraw All" option if you have faucet credit.

This is fixed now. The "Withdraw All" function will now work against the withdrawable balance - i.e. it won't attempt to withdraw the faucet credit (which is what was causing this problem)
Smiley

I literally came in to ask for this. Was a headache until I realized I had to deduct 5000 satoshi! I like the faucet but yeah this separation was definitely needed, glad to see things have changed.

Good to see the network pool edging up a little.

Not sure if I'm the only one, but there's a few 'spammy' looking sites in the pool now - at least that's what it seems to look like to me.

Advertisement-wise or like publishers? If they're advertisers, I'd say MA should only get involved if they use the faucet. Past this, if they're paying, I see no problems.

Publishers, I'm not too bothered about advertisers, it's up the user if they want to click a spammy ad.

I'd report these directly, including URL, definitely.

I use google adsense on my site.

And I set the CPM and CPC in this way.

CPM: 0.001
CPC: 0.0003

Is it okay well or should I change it?

I don't get this question. What does Mellow Ads have to do with AdSense?

Yes, sorry wrong question.  Cheesy

I just wanted to know if Mellow Ads runs without problems together with Adsense.

Not an issue, Smiley. There are very few networks AdSense doesn't mesh with.

2507  Economy / Securities / Re: Anything sustainable worth of investing? on: October 26, 2015, 12:57:06 AM
Every investment I've made using BTC has ended up profitable.

Care to share? Are you sure you mean 'invested' and not 'won some change at a dice dite' (since you mostly post in the gambling section)?

I don't get involved in giving others advice on investments. I'm not your financial advisor. I'm not a registered Fiduciary advisor. I'm not your stock broker.

Do your own due diligence. You'll find that for every 100 businesses on here, MAYBE one has a chance to make a profit.

And if you put money in a casino's bankroll, you aren't investing: you're gambling. Two different things. An investment would mean you're buying part of the site. Rather than just getting a cut of profits from your input in a bankroll, you'd own equity.
2508  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can I invest? on: October 26, 2015, 12:45:53 AM
I think the most safe way where to invest is bitcoin.
From the last week the price of bitcoin has been increased too much.
I would not recommend investing in hyip/money double neither to cloud mining.

you are right, but bitcoin nearly $300. if you believe bitcoin will continue to rise? or will fall back?

If something is increased one day it will decreased too.
So for now i don't think it will fall back because it is only rising.
I hardly believe that at the end of the month price will reach $300.

Won't fall back because it's rising? You mean like 2013? Good thing it never dropped from the November 2013 value, amirite?
2509  Economy / Services / Re: Need an High Trusted Escrow and 10 investors on: October 26, 2015, 12:44:47 AM
I'm coming!

On tomorrow i will have on my account 2BTC then i will start to accept investors Wink

First, i need an escrow wich:

1) Hold my 2BTC in a separate wallet for guarantee 50% of any investor losses;
2) Hold the 2F key of managed account.

Contact me if you are interested

If you are interested to invest in Managed Account remeber:

1) Only 50% of the initial deposited capital is protected from losses;
2) Minimun amount to invest is 0.20 BTC;
3) Total invested amount is limited to 4BTC

If you are interested contact me to invest . Show me how much Bitcoin you think  to invest  .

All withdrawals and payments from the account will be managed by dell'escrow

Here you could see ho i will trade for this first 2 week:

Basically I buy stocks, indices and commodities denominated directly in bitcoin .My asset allocation will be divided as follows: 75 % of Daytrading on Currencies , 15 % Bi - Weekly on trade indices ; 10 % Long - term average of Trading of Stocks and Commodities .

Below I attach a table with my asset allocation for the next 2 weeks (i could go long or short) .

ASSET TYPE                            1° Week Invested   1°    Week ROI       2° Week Invested   2° Week Roi
Major (eur/usd - gbp/usd etc)                    80                      50%                   70                          50%
Cross ( eur-jpy ; aud-nzd)                         10                      50%                   10                          50%
Index (DAX, DOW J, NASDAQ)                     10                      25%                   15                          25%
OTHER (Crude Oil, Apple Shares ETC)          0                          -                      5                          10%

Since you're doing this in fiat, you should accept fiat as well, I think. You could make 50% in 2 weeks and BTC go down 50% in two weeks, giving a breakeven.

Lobos what's next in for development? I see you just got back after bring away. Lot of investors are curious myself included.

Hi, I was forced to take a break from development due to some urgent family affairs ... the immediate thing has been taken care off and while the root issue (grave illness of my mother) will probably resurface at a later date, I'm now back and devoting time to development again. So you can expect some news in the near future.

Glad to see things are better for you! Do you happen to have an ETA (like a month, 3 months) for the next game? Smiley.

The top Chinese ones have no trade fees. When doing a lot of trading, that is a huge difference. Imagine you trade 1 BTC back and forth building it up 200x in a day. You'd have paid at least 1 BTC in fees on U.S. exchanges. On Chinese, ZERO. Smiley

It still hurts those that were repairing and now can't mine because they can't activate their systems...

That said, it sucks, that it's yet another site being attacked for seemingly no reason.
2515  Economy / Securities / Re: Have an arbitrage opporunity. Looking for investor. on: October 25, 2015, 10:59:27 PM
I think he wanted to arbitrage the price difference between Bitstamp and Bitfinex a few days ago. They were off by like $4-5 or so.
Even at this difference he can not make any profit due to charges on fiats (USD, EUR etc) may be he could make it an investment ebook and give it to a highly trusted member to vouch it then we can buy it if we finds it interesting.

Charges are flat rate. $50 on $50 is 100%. $50 on $5000 is 1%. $50 on $500k is 0.01%. I could go on but I'm guessing you get the point.
I actually did not get any point here because if the i should buy at the rate of $365 and sell for $370 (for example) i will be left with $5, if i now purchase 10 btc, my profit will be 10x5= $50, this profit can easily be eating up by wire transfer, visa card charges or perfect money commission.

Right. So now you bought 100 instead. That's a profit of 500-50=450. I'm not seeing the issue? The more investors had put in, the higher the profit would have been. Just like any other trading system in the world. It's nothing new/complicated. But that also doesn't mean it isn't risky.
2516  Economy / Securities / Re: [ANN] LGSPool - Fully managed staking pool - Weekly Dividends on: October 25, 2015, 10:57:15 PM
All I'm getting is "ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED" when trying to load your site. Trying to see what it's all about but can't due to the error.

I'm getting this as well..
Might want to fix this before asking for investors Smiley

The website is back up and running. My server guy tells me we may have a bad disk that he is going to get replaced.

I have also updated the site to reflect the addition of a few more coins to the pool. I will be updating the OP shortly with some new info as well as a small give away to get things started.

Can you please explain what makes this opportunity worth going after? I get that you're staking coins but why wouldn't someone just buy coins and let them stake? I'm not seeing what's new here.

If your capable of managing your own wallets then by all means, its better for the coins to be under your control. Where a staking pool like LGS is beneficial is when you want to get a piece of more than just a few coins. Most if not all POS coins have a high enough difficulty that to stake on a regular basis you need to own a sizable amount of that coin, with a pool like LGS however, you can begin earning an equal share of ALL coins that the pool supports currently and in the future, you also leave the management and maintenance of the wallets and servers up to the pool management. A staking pool also smooths out the variations in stake earnings by diversifying across a basket of coins. And as this is a fully managed pool profits from coins that see a rise in value will be split between being shared with asset holders in the form of dividends and being used to increase the holdings of other coins in the basket.

If you can handle keeping a server up and running and 10,20,30+ wallets up to date and staking 24/7, as well as have the funds to invest across the board to make a profit after overhead, then this type of service is not for you. However, if you would rather see weekly dividends that hopefully increase over time with no micromanagement or time spent on your part, then this is for you.

Hmm, good answer. Thanks for that!

To another question... so if we buy in through NXT (lgspool asset), how are dividends paid? Via NXT itself or through an increaes in lgspool assets?

I updated the OP to help explain how we will be tracking the various asset exchanges. I will try and sum it up as best I can here, please let me know if I need to clarify anything.
The "mother" asset so to speak will be the coinprism colored coin asset, I will be creating a dedicated asset address to correspond with NXT/XCP/whatever future asset exchange we branch into, dividends received by these addresses will then be converted into NXT for the NXT AE and distributed via the NXT platform. Right now I am scheduling the dividends for NXT/XCP/etc for monthly issuance, when the total dividends as well as per LGS are large enough I will look to process them biweekly or even weekly.
I am also planning on offering liquidity and movement between the asset exchanges, however I have a few things to work out before I can do so, not to mention we haven't paid our first dividends yet, which of course will be next sunday.

Again, please let me know if I need to clarify things.

This is all really interesting to me. Time to start learning about Colored Coins. I know the basics, but back when I was really reading into them they were still just a theory, Smiley. I'll report back if i have any questions! It looks like I'll take part in this investment, to help learn about the system and such, so it's a great start.

I'm a bit lost as to why Amazon GCs are being sold. Based on what I could tell, you just buy them at what looks like market price. Why not just withdraw winnings instead?

No issues here... is it actually crashing or just not connecting?

It opens then crashes before it clarifies there's a connection.

Weird. Were you having this issue before, or is it a new problem/new to SWC?
