So, I let them run all night last night thinking I would have some progress when I woke up. Nothing was being mined and the cards were cooled down to room temp. What this be what you were speaking of? How to override this?

Turn off screen saver and hibernate/sleep mode. PC needs to be always on.
3462  Economy / Lending / Re: 1.1 btc needed to kickstart my business - guaranteed 2 BTC returned in 2 weeks on: February 14, 2013, 03:00:33 AM
Is it BTC1.1 or BTC3?  You have multiple threads asking for different amounts.  Also detail the guarantee please.  Do I get a perfected first priority security interest over all assets of your business?  IOU written on a napkin?  Pinky swear?

You doubt the pinky swear??

yes, i have it set as suggested. But you can see the "EXT path" at the top. Not sure what that is supposed to say. But when I hit "start mining" nothing happens.

Going back up a few posts, you have a dummy plug on the second GPU? I don't recall seeing that box. How about remove both and start fresh? Make sure you choose File, New Miner, New OPenCL miner. Once it's running, save it and then duplicate, change the GPU. Once that one runs, don't forget to save.
you solved it for me. Between the time i posted this and now, i have plaugged in another monitor to the second card. Would that be the reason (that and a restart) that I can use both now? Plus....im still not showing any activity on the other card thru MSI. Hmmm....

I believe Vista and on, if the OS doesn't see a GPU being used, it turns them off to save power. We run into this alot in Boinc.
In your Summary tab, are you seeing Hash equal to 2-6970's?
You can also make dummy plugs yourself, cheap. Just use the adapter than came with the GPU (if you have it) and buy some resistors from RS.
Here is a how to: http://www.overclock.net/t/384733/the-30-second-dummy-plug

I do have them in crossfire and these are my settings. As you can see it doesnt show any usage on my other card. I am certain that both of them work. And i have created that second profile(gpu2) to try and separately activate my other card. I didnt get very far w that tho.

Hit the drop down on your GPU, is Cayman0 and Cayman1 being used? I see you have Default and gpu2, are the both for the same pool? One should be 0 and the other 1.

Is there a trick to USING both of them simultaneously to mine? Thx.

Yes windows requires a monitor plugged into both cards for them to work for mining.
Or a dummy plug or Crossfire activated.

Since you knew the answer why not tell him in first post..

May not be the problem. Miner could be set up wrong, why I asked for more information. He may only have 1 set up. Since you posted as well, why didn't you include the information I did?

Because I answer questions in my own way my not yours and I don't do post whoring. PLONK.

Did your mom have any kids that lived, NostradumbASS? Didn't think so.

"Don't do post whoring"  .......said the post whore. Let me help turn your ignore piss yellow, like your teeth.

wondering how to get the most out of my grfx cards. I have 2 6970's and only one of them is showing usage in the MSI monitor. I know both of them work. Is there a trick to USING both of them simultaneously to mine? Thx.

More info is needed.
3470  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer: Scarface Tommy on: February 13, 2013, 07:49:59 PM
I cannot accuse someone of being a scammer just because they stop responding after I mention using escrow, for all I know they found someone else to deal with. This forum is bad enough for automatic assumptions and accusations.

It's even worse with scammers.

New guy, who does not trust banks but has a plan, anonymously promises gigantic return on unknown, but almost legit investment with little risk.

Where do I send my money?
He actually asks to meet that person, if this is done via online anounymously,it is apparently a scam, but he seems intend to meet the person and go through vetting offline, so I'd rather hold my judgement for now.

You hold your judgement, I'll hold my coins, sound fair?
3472  Economy / Lending / Re: Any one want to loan me 50 btc @ 10 % intrest on: February 13, 2013, 05:37:06 AM

3473  Economy / Lending / Re: looking for 3btc loan on: February 13, 2013, 04:29:53 AM
These scammers are getting dumber.  I am watching a few of them that are rapidly trying to increase their post counts.  I can't wait for them to request a loan.  You guys know who you are!   Wink

So, I am not alone watching the excitement build. LOL
3474  Economy / Lending / Re: [BTCJam Loan] 5 BTC on: February 13, 2013, 01:12:11 AM
Code:
This is a loan for gambling on SatoshiDice.  I will put the entire balance on the SatoshiDice 12%, on one bet.

There is NO GUARANTEE of getting paid back for this loan.  If I win the bet, you will get paid back 200% of the original investment within 24 hours after I win.

REPEAT:  THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OF GETTING PAID BACK.

Nice way of trying to scam by putting this on a pastebin and making people go there LMAO SCAM!!!!!!

We need a panhandler section.
3475  Economy / Lending / Re: 35 BTC Loan Contract (ATC777 and BTCInvest) on: February 13, 2013, 12:59:20 AM
I believe my first payment is due tomorrow? I can just go ahead and pay tonight, if that's cool with you, TradeFortress.

Regards,

--ATC--

I hope this goes well for both. Would be nice to see a decent amount of loan be returned as planed for a change.

TradeFortress will do just fine... I, on the other hand, got taken to the woodshed! Just my luck to borrow 35 btc right before the price skyrockets to over $25.00/BTC LOL! A loan of 35.00 BTC is essentially a net-short position against the BTC/USD rate, so that's a net-loss to my portfolio heheh.  Tongue

--ATC--

Luck of the draw Wink

Anyone at all? All i am asking is if i am simply doing it right? After that i would like to move my 2 machines to a pool but if i cant figure out if its right or not i have to shut them down? Is this what happens to allot of new comers to mining they simply cant figure it out nor get help so they just quit? That was my whole reason i quit folding. Unhelpful community so i shut all my machines down.

Please i just need to know for now if i am simply doing it right?

I am not familiar with your program but it looks to be sending in stales? Have you tried stock clocks? As for F@H, I found Boinc to be much better in the help department and some teams are even better with help. Sorry I can't help, have you tried a different miner program?
Oh his stale rate is perfectly fine. 26 stale after 41000 is ok
As I said, I am not familiar with this software so I defer to those that know. That ain't me. Smiley
