2781  Economy / Lending / Re: 5 BTC loan - 30+ days on: January 17, 2014, 04:19:07 AM
drewster, you're new here, so you probably didn't know. The strategy that you're employing (taking out multiple small loans, then going in for the big kill to "consolidate") is a text-book scam tactic that we'e seen over and over, ad nauseum. Whether your request is legit or not is largely irrelevant -- it's highly unlikely that you'll find anybody who is crazy enough to loan you that kind of money.

This pretty much sums things up. It's not like we haven't seen this scores of times.
2782  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] 0.2 BTC with Paypal on: January 17, 2014, 04:13:29 AM
I understand my rate may be high, but refusing to go first while using paypal (all the risk is on the seller) even with established members won't get you very far.
You'll have to choose another method and use escrow if you want it done hassle free here.

Yes, your rate is high.  I won't go first because I know 100% I will pay after receiving it. I don't want the hassle of contacting Paypal for a refund and have to wait like a week or two to get my money back.  I know there has been some trades on here with Paypal.  After posting all my contact info and background, not sure what people are worried about.

I'll bite again. Since you know the horror stories, send the funds to me and I will escrow the BTC. After 90 days, I will authorize the escrow release to you. Your personal info means very little BTW. ANY amount of time spent in the Lending section explains it all in vast detail, over and over.
PM for email to send your funds to, we will also discuss an escrow agent.

Thanks but I'll pass.  Sorry, I don't send first. That's the rules, either play by the game or don't play at all. How is my personal info meaningless? 0 Negative feedbacks on Ebay in over 12 years.  I think that means more than 1 or 2 trust points on here right?  A legit website that makes me money and also my ebay sales. That proves I can afford the 0.2BTC right?

Ebay can ban you, we can't. Ebay and Paypal can ruin your credit, take you to court, we cannot. Ebay feedback does not carry over here. Bottom line: You aren't on Ebay anymore.
Since you earn so much, why the need for a loan? Maybe you see easy pickings?
2783  Economy / Lending / Re: Opinion requested....to seek a loan or not on: January 17, 2014, 04:07:43 AM
Oh, I should of course have proposed the following:

- A loan, if I did take/get one, would be tied to CURRENT US$ or € value
- Monthly payments would be met, either in BTC (Preferred, from mining) or US$/€ (From my salary)

After reading over the "How to spot a scam" thread, I realise I should have posted these.

You are asking for a lot of BTC with no security. Why should you get this amount when the lender takes all the risk? Lender may as well buy and mine for themselves, no? Perhaps you should start selling personal items, car title loan, work a lot of over time to finance your hobby?
I suggest you read over that thread again and look for any similarities and why you would or would not fit the profile.

@vod Yes, working on that. Bear in mind please that I haven't asked for anthing, only opinions.

Let's call it what it is: A loan feeler.

2785  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 2 BTC Loan - Repay 1 month on: January 16, 2014, 11:58:48 PM
I understand. I have small amounts of alt coins, not totaling anywhere near 2 BTC. It's a challenge in it's self coming up with sensible collateral to offer online.

I know, thank the scammers for harder to get loans. Maybe try smaller amount, sell what things you can to make up the difference.

I am aware. We can wait days or what ever you need.

Are you ready to complete this transaction?
2788  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] BTC via paypal. on: January 16, 2014, 10:59:47 PM
This is my first post in the marketplace and I am very untrusted at this time. I can do little exchanges to start up. Thanks everyone. I will go first with every transaction but I am not dealing with untrusted members with 0 exchanges.

Current PP balance: 567$
BTC bought: 0.00

Ok, I'll bite. I'll sell 0.037BTC for $30 USD. At the end of 90 days, I will send the BTC. The details of this transaction needs to be put in the Message area for the PP transfer. PM for email address.
2789  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] BTC via paypal. on: January 16, 2014, 10:49:47 PM
Sure but with trusted members. Not some 1 poster -_-

Why not look on localbitcoins.com and BTW, you have less than 5 posts.

You will wait 45 or more days?
2791  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 2 BTC Loan - Repay 1 month on: January 16, 2014, 10:26:07 PM
Me and a group of friends and colleagues have gotten together to create 2 types of physical Bitcoin cards. One being a MasterCard and one being just a SmartCard wallet for up to 10 crypto currencies. Can read some about it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=418912.0

We've been approved for the Netspend partner program to issue our MasterCards under them. The problem with that is, it took our entire $5,000 budget to secure this partnership with Netspend. We need close to approx $1500 to secure our deal with ASC for a large bulk order of their ACR38U PocketMate that will be provided with our card.

We are serious and expect serious replies only. We are based in the USA (Missouri) and can talk over the phone if needed.
We mine BTC and are estimating our next 5 BTC payout around the end of Feb or very early March. Our deal with ASC is good for 2 weeks starting this past Monday, the 13th.

If we can't find the funding to secure the card readers so cheap we'll have to raise prices of the cards. We're trying to keep cost down to a minimum.

We can offer the loaner full repayment + your interest rate along with 50 cards.

I know some ask for collateral, I just can't think of what I have that you'd want. The title to my mini van? Don't laugh, we have 4 kids. :-)
I also have an MSDN account with access to all the new M$ software. Can hook someone up with Windows 8, 8.1 Server, anything M$ has really. All legit. Can do TeamViewer session to log into my MSDN account and get the keys/iso.

I also have a Windows Azure account with virtually unlimited usage. I could scale up servers, sql, windows, linux, cloud storage containers, VPNs, etc.

Will be a tough one without collateral. No Trust, no collateral, however you may get some hits on software.
2792  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] OpenRigs.com - Aluminium Frames for Mining Rigs on: January 16, 2014, 09:32:59 PM
I've had things from China make it in that time frame as well as much longer.
fluffypony , can you check on order #1125?

Sure thing - it went into fab on the 8th, and is being checked and packed to ship out on Monday:)

Excellent Smiley
2793  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] OpenRigs.com - Aluminium Frames for Mining Rigs on: January 16, 2014, 02:47:32 PM
That last status (insert item into bag out) means it's left the country - so there's not much more it can say:) Tracking it to see if it's arrived is best done on USPS or Royal Mail or whatever the local mail service is (using the same tracking number)

Does it usually take over 16 days to send stuff from SA to US?  Honest question, because I've gotten things from China within 5-10 days.

2794  Economy / Lending / Re: Loans and the acceptance of DOX on: January 16, 2014, 02:45:16 PM
With the expense of hiring a lawyer, filing fees, court costs and wasted time.......is it really worth it to collect .07BTC? Look through the loan section, most of the requests are well below 1BTC. After reading for a bit you wouldn't ask this question.
This is why many ask for collateral greater than the value of the loan request.

An attorney for a small claims, really? I'm curious if there are stats out there, a lot of small claim courts in the states don't allow them, so that actually skews the number anyways. The fees... yeah there's definitely that cost. Where I am it's about 30 bucks which isn't too far from the average, but of course can be more depending on the amount. Chances are you're not going to get paid anyways, if it got to this point, but why not add those fees in your claim.

I've read many of requests and it's exactly why I'm posing the question actually. I'm not against this practice at all. But there is that bigger picture I talked about earlier. Do you think req DOX might discourage scammers in the least little way? I would imagine the number of scams would decrease, among other things.  the overall goal would be to change the current lending scene... eventually. Smiley

Thanks for your input, keep em' coming! Oh, can you elaborate a little more on why collateral is greater than the loan request?

An attorney, really? Yes! Since many loans aren't even in the same state and laws vary state to state and since I don't know the laws for each state, yes. Without collateral, it's a crap shoot. You also are forgetting many scammers have been doing this a long time and use multiple accounts and make new ones all the time.
The "current lending scene" has already been changed due to scamming.
Many of your questions have been asked and answered over and over.
If you want to ask for loan with DOX only, be my guest.

2796  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a 0.9 BTC loan on: January 16, 2014, 01:08:21 PM
I would like to borrow 0.9 BTC to pay some bills and could pay back 1 BTC within 2 weeks.
Collateral: I'm getting paid 1 BTC from an trustworthy escrow for a finished website soon.
Please write me a PM for more information Smiley

If you don't have it in your possession, it isn't really collateral. Your best bet is to wait for the 1 BTC.
2797  Economy / Reputation / Re: MsCollec's reputation thread on: January 16, 2014, 07:12:31 AM
Something suspicious like not accepting your stupid offers?  That's not the way things are done in modern world maybe in where you are ,  I have the liberty to choose any offers I deemed okay and this is a reputable thread,  read my first post and I  already reported your posts since it does not seems like I completed a trade with you more like someone who is butt hurt and lack common sense.

You really need to take a course in reading comprehension. At the very least, re read your own loan thread. You wanted a loan for 3 times your offered collateral. I pointed this out to you but you refused to see it so I offered you a loan for 3 times less than your collateral. Now do you understand? Seriously, it isn't rocket science.
Now on to another gem: Your vast portfolio of alt coins which you refuse to redeem for an amount you want. And you aren't desperate yet move to another's thread and ask for a loan.
Now you have all your needs met.
Sound suspicious and I voiced my concern.

It's a reputation thread correct? You are doing suspect things that impact your reputation. Can you follow the logic?
Stop messing up other's threads with your personal issues.
At least get my name correct.  Roll Eyes
