361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Whattomine - profitability website with basic json. on: July 06, 2017, 07:53:11 PM
Ok, so in the multi currency calc I see 2 figures: revenue and revenue 24h (revenue in the alt coin). You mean the first is calculated based on current difficulty and the second based on last 24h average difficulty? Is that the only difference in calculations?
Is the same true for BTC revenue/BTC revenue 24h? Or here is also used the Poloniex exchange - current/24h avg?

Also, in a previous post, you said the results could be affected by rejects, or lower effective hashrate than reported by miner. Do you have any idea how can I get an average hashrate from suprnova for my miner for lets say 24hrs, or last hour?

Also block_reward is used as current / average.
Same for BTC revenue.
Exchange rate is always used current - cause you do not sell equally over 24h, but rather in batches on raises.

Last time I checked graphs from stats are not working on lbry pool - you will have to ask ocminer to bring them back.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Whattomine - profitability website with basic json. on: July 06, 2017, 06:08:13 PM
I am getting 7.6 Lbry /day - yesterday the calc was showing above 9Lbry. Now is showing a bit above 8 so it seems to come closer now. Maybe is a kind of lag in updating? or is just the reasons above...

Can you please explain more regarding the pool luck. How does that come into play? your formula posted on the thread does not seem to include it specifically - is it assuming a 100% luck, or? could you post the formula used for lbry.

Thanks

Calc will show you how much you will mine at current diff, or how much you could have mined if you did for last 24 / 3 / 7, it cant predict the future Wink
In the future you will be able to specify diff% increase at single calculators.

Yes calc is assuming 100% pool luck.
lbry uses the same formula as bitcoin: hashrate * block_reward * 86400 / difficulty / 2**32  - per day
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Whattomine - profitability website with basic json. on: July 05, 2017, 07:30:34 PM
Well, I am mining lbry for a couple of days now and I think it was constantly below the calc...
Anyway, but why the difference? I am not talking about the difference in BTC revenue, which involves the Poloniex exchange rate as well. But the revenue in the coin itself, in this case LBRY.

For starters pool luck is 103.5% for last 7 days + mining at 1% fee.
Thats already 4.5% lower than average estimate.

After that you can for example have:
- lower than 100% uptime
- rejects, or lower effective hashrate than reported by miner
- coin difficulty is rising due to rising price - this will lower reward every day as long as its rising

Whats your difference btw, what kind of percentage are we talking about?
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Whattomine - profitability website with basic json. on: July 05, 2017, 07:14:09 PM
I'm mining LBRY and I am using suprnova pool, and I'm getting less than what the calculator is predicting.
Isn't the pool's hash rate needed to be taken into account?

Only coin difficulty and pool luck matters for your rewards.
I am getting today less than calc as well (mining some lbry on suprnova), but for example 2 days ago I was getting more.
In the end it evens out.
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Whattomine - profitability website with basic json. on: July 01, 2017, 05:45:08 PM

HAL has very small hashrate.
In the calculation you have added about 1/3 of current nethash to this coin, which will significantly raise the coin difficulty.
wtm takes this into account, thats why rewards are lower.

Wow thanks, everything is working now, that was really helpful, i have only problem with Halcyon coin, is 2**32 multiplier correct for this coin? Because im getting ~50% higher reward than on whattomine

Yep its 2**32. If you want to compare then best do it here at exact coin calc

367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Whattomine - profitability website with basic json. on: July 01, 2017, 10:40:35 AM
1. Cryptonight:  im using this formula to calculate 24h reward

( (hashrate) * (current block reward) * 720 ) / (network hashrate)

It works with Monero, Bytecoin but for Karbowanec,DigitalNote result is ~2x bigger than on whattomine.com

2. I have reward equation which works perfectly with etherum, but its not correct with other ethash based coins (expanse, musicoin, ubiq)
How to calculate reward for these coins ?

3. How to calculate reward for equihash based coins?(zcash,hush...) and blake(2b) based coins

Thanks for any help,

Use proper formula with difficulty listed here https://minergate.com/calculator/bitcoin

Coins vary only by the `2**32` multiplier.
Zcash has 13, kmd 4 and hush 1. Sia uses the same as eth and cryptonight which is `2**0`

Hello, is it possible to get reward equation for specific coin/algorithm?

Hey, what exactly do you need?

boysie is this professional vega or RX one?
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Whattomine - profitability website with basic json. on: June 30, 2017, 02:21:27 PM
Please add recent devices like RX570/580 and 1080Ti to the calculator. Thanks.

1080ti is coming soon.
No place for me to order 5xx cards for now, need to wait.

Hey Claymore, first of all thank you for making your awesome client!

I just released Vega but it is not working with your miner currently.  Can you please add support for Vega?  I can't wait to see the hashrates we can get.

Let me know if you need anything.

LS

Wow you must be the first one to try mining with a Vega GPU.

What speed are you getting with ZEC?

adaseb you know who lisaSu is, right? ;P
Nice trolling, made my day Cheesy
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Whattomine - profitability website with basic json. on: June 29, 2017, 08:33:31 AM
I have added the ability to include skein and lyra2z coins into json response.

Just need to include those extra params:
&factor[sk_hr]=xxx&sk=true&factor[sk_p]=xxx
&factor[l2z_hr]=xxx&l2z=true&factor[l2z_p]=xxx

You can also hack those coins into UI response using the same params. Add "&dataset=xxx" to save into tab for easy click access.
Please note that pressing calculate will remove those coins from response, as forms are not yet present.

Can anyone confirm that DAG slowdown will also affect 5xx series?

As it it right now, the Claymore miner epoch benchmarks show a rather significant ~10% drop after epoch 150 for the Polaris cards and progressively increasing after that. There are conflicting reports as to whether the issue is with the Claymore miner and if other miners, like SGminer are affected. Apparently AMD is also aware of the issue and are talking with Claymore about it.

Yes but I asked about 5xx series only Wink

Also, can we please get a Skein hash field on the homepage. Everyone's mining it.

I believe more people are mining ETC than all skein coins combined Wink
Anyway I am working on an update to bring skein / lyra2z to json response, but UI will have to wait a bit longer
(you will be able to hack around and inject param into url to include the coins)

And yes most data is fetched every 3 minutes. (I am thinking about a switch to 2 min lately)
Nicehash and myr/dgb/dgc stats are pulled every minute.

I just wanted to let you know that Bela and NVC are not on the site anymore (in case you did not notice)

Bela implemented DGW and had a fork i guess. Maybe thats the reason Smiley

Yes, I have removed them for now.
Bela has `No available stats` status, meaning I was unable to find working stats.
Nvc is problematic due to the mix of pow and pos, which makes pow blocks to happen in weird timespans and difficulty jumps.
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 26, 2017, 07:50:56 PM
Hey guys i have problem with low hash rate gettin 13 to max 15 mhs on Claymore
Specs
5x Gtx 1060 6gb windforce from Gigabyte
Motherboard: Asus strix h270f
Psu 850w and 8gb of ram

Windows 10 fully updated with lastest drivers.
Tried on windows 7 same result.
Tried recommende drivers by Claymore
Tried older versions of drivers till 369
Tried Claymores versions 9.5 and 9.4 with all cudas versions.
Tried with single card direct to Pcie

Can somebe help

I would like to see a possible solution for this as well.
Happens for a friend on win10 for 5x1070 and 1x1060

All other algorithms except for equihash are working ok. (1070 hashes 330 instead of 420)

All good in the end. Creators update to win10 wasnt applied correctly at the first run.

@tpd09
It will be added next month, card already ordered.

How come that when i enter:

2000mh / 3200W  (with script coins)   I get Bela on place #1

And when I enter

200.000 / 352.000W (with scypt coins)   I get LTC on place #1

Why is Bela more profitable with only 4 miners, while LTC is 3-4 times as profitable when I use 400 miners?

Am I nuts or is there a logical reason behind it?

Bela has much lower network hashrate than litecoin.
If you add 400 miners for bela you will increase difficulty by significant amount, litecoin on the other hand wont even feel a difference.

@wilkas
You can use claymore miner to mine other ethash coins directly.
Just need to choose if you prefer to get paid directly in BTC via nicehash or want to gather other coins first.

@uzgen
Thanks, updated

Yes, surely I could "scissor" pieces together from various sources to prove/present something but it is much more acceptable if it comes from a single official/transparent source. (Woah, I have said it, your site is cool for serious business!) Yes, it is a one-time data drop to date. Whatever I can work with. I am an MI guy, anything Excel can digest is good. If you have more than what Excel can handle is also cool. It wouldn't be the first time stretching the boundaries of Excel (or killing it). Wink If not, I will figure out something, no worries. Although, I think this would benefit others, too.

Still, you rock matey. Keep up the great work. Best of luck with your baby. Smiley

Cheesy Thanks

Let me know in private what exact values are you after and for what coins. (Hopefully just a few Cheesy )
