361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to confirm an erc20 transaction on: January 16, 2021, 01:24:02 PM
personally, before making any transaction, I like to follow ethereum gas tracker, from here you can always check it https://etherscan.io/gastracker . also, try to use the average gas fee for medium speed. if you want a fast transaction you need to use high gwe that cost you high. I hope already you got the solution to your problem. now you can lock this thread to prevent more spam here.

I'm using MyCrypto desktop wallet and there are setting there that you can set to make your transaction confirm faster, always check the gas tracker so you will not encounter this kind of issue, it's very annoying to see your transaction delayed for over 24 hours, if you are a trader you are going to lose a lot of of trading profit.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Need some help to Understand Bounty campaign on: January 15, 2021, 02:31:30 PM
There are so many bounty campaign that moderate by newbie with 2/3 activities, is that kind of bounty are safe and believable?

It always depend on the roadmap and the platform, even if they are created by newbies or legendary members but the project do not offer anything or real use case, newbies do not have impact on the project, it's the potential that will make investors invest, bounty hunters promote and the community will support.
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: king of TPS ? (transactions per second) on: January 15, 2021, 11:06:27 AM
EOS also claims that they can have efficiency to process 50K transactions per second and another unknow coins to me claims that Futurepia can process 100K transactions per second. While we are yet to test the actual processing speed of those chains due to lacking in demand on those chains.

But TPS is important factor for future?

I agree the only way to prove that is when it has demand just like Ethereum and Bitcoin we have tested their TPS, if they have claimed but have not proven that it's useless, they should test it show prove, the community are still looking for projects that has a good transaction speed and it is a very important factor to become adopted by the community.
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why XRP Crash? on: January 14, 2021, 02:01:12 AM
The main reason why XRP is having its bearish momentum and falling down trend is because of its on-going lawsuit against US SEC but if I am not mistaking this case will be done within next week. Another reason of it is because plenty of US base exchanges decided to suspend or even delist XRP in their market which made hodlers decide to sell their xrp and because of this selling the market price of it goes down and fall really hard even plenty of cryptos are having its bullish run.

Discussion about Ripple will not go away as long as the case is not settle, the price is still good in the market, that's because they have a strong community that they've build for a long time and they also have partnership, how long can they weathered the storm, we don't know all I know is holders should always aware of the situation, and they know the risk of holding Ripple.
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When do you expect the Altcoin rally? on: January 12, 2021, 11:15:30 PM
Bitcoin price has grown massively in the last few weeks, while Altcoins have gained little or even lost in relation to Bitcoin. In the past, after a strong Bitcoin rally, sooner or later an Altcoin rally set in. Do you expect an Altcoin rally this time too? If so, when and if no, why not?

I expect some but not all the altcoins to rally this year, the market is the bull run and Bitcoin is moving up continuously, top altcoins always follow the movement of Bitcoin I expect some of these altcoins will surpass their old all time high, the first one that will do that is Ethereum who is very near in breaking their old all time high.
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHOW YOUR Pi!!! If you dare. For the Pi Network on: January 12, 2021, 01:49:27 AM
This all I got KYC Swank

https://ibb.co/4P2qFbd
I stopped using PI but I accumulated more than 20k I ,might reinstall it again since recovery is easy all you need is the number that you've used when you first mine PI I don't think it will have a good value when it hit the market with it's billions of supply that amount you've shown us will amount to $1 or maybe less.
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you in panic whenever there is a big drop in price? on: January 11, 2021, 09:29:31 PM
People who have invested their savings are likely to panic, these people have invested what they cannot afford to lose or their investment comes from a loan, this is how the market play, people should be ready on this, anything can happen even the unexpected, so many people did not expect the all time high to be broken last year but it did.
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ETH break it's ATH? on: January 11, 2021, 02:49:39 PM
if ethereum will reach 1300$ level than, i believe, we will see how ethereum will break ath. but bitcoin hited his last ath more than two times. what if eth will hit 3000$?

We are still in the first month of the year, and the best is yet to come for Ethereum, everything depends on how good is the Eth 2.0 when it is roll up if it has positive feedback coming from the community, Ethereum could double at the current market price or even reach $3000, Eth 2.0 is what the community is been waiting for.
369  Economy / Speculation / Re: 50K on the way and I am Still Alive on: January 11, 2021, 01:21:15 PM
I AM STILL ALIVE
Started this topic back in those days
Topic is Locked but just wanted to inform all of those friends who were concerned about my whereabout
I AM STILL HERE
&
50 K is ON THE WAY

Congratulations, stay on you'll see what you predict in 2013 I'm sure it can reach that level this year, check that old thread and many believe that it's possible for Bitcoin to reach $50,000, back on those days it's good to make predictions because there are so many unbelievers, it's fun to make a thread about your prediction and prove unbelievers that you are right, just like what you did.
370  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bit coin crashing ? $3,000 by noon today on: January 11, 2021, 11:31:08 AM
Is this the start of free fall ? I dont see bitcoin loosing so much in one day ever before . I'm so glad I cashed out on Friday.
It really is a huge crash at 10%, I hope it will not happen again and Bitcoin will recover, whales are selling in the hope that small investors will also sell so they can buy more Bitcoin at a much cheaper price, I don't see Bitcoin going at $20 k the momentum is still there, I still believe this is going to be a great year for Bitcoin.
371  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bit Coin dropped 12% since morning ,where is it going? on: January 11, 2021, 11:04:17 AM
Wow, what a ride . I sold for cash on Friday. I'm buying back in when I see it level off for 2 weeks . I made 400% on Friday ,but 100 will be ok this time . Hang onto your hat folks ,were in for a real ride ,yipee kiyi !

We really are in there is a speculation that whales are doing this I read it coming from Coingecko newsletter
Quote
There is speculation that large BTC holders are responsible for the sudden and unexpected price dip so they could buy more BTC at a cheaper rate.
nothing really new this has been the case ever since I hope it will go up again I was hoping that it will stabilize I still have some Bitcoin that I have not yet sold.
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: please help me understand the gas cost of sending erc20 tokens on: January 11, 2021, 10:47:43 AM
any way around the problem I described above?  Will ETH 2.0 solve this and what do you expect the gas cost to be on the new 2.0 platform?

EDIT
I wanted to add that I suspect the value of a large percentage of tokens is based largely on the fact that no one can afford to send/exchange/sell them.  So in financial terms what does that mean?  If no one's selling, the price remains stable.  The second that the gas cost declines significantly, the more people will be selling those tokens that they've been holding.  If ETH 2.0 does in fact reduce gas cost to a few cents per transaction expect the value of tokens to plummet.  My 2 cents...

I am one of those who cannot sell because of the high cost of gas, imagine sending $40 worth of tokens on a $12 gas fee over 20% of the cost of the token you are selling, only whales can sell their token because they are sending big amount but how about small traders and sellers, they are losing on this bargain.
373  Economy / Speculation / Re: Michael Saylor goes nuts: he predicts a $15 million Bitcoin price. on: January 11, 2021, 12:35:56 AM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaFVNBG9-Lk

I wish he is right but I also wonder if he is delusional.

In the above video, minutes 14:28 to 25:25 he speaks of gold being totally replaced by bitcoin as a store of value in the same way that wooden ships were replaced by steel ships. He also gives other examples of this style. Just because something has worked for 5,000 years doesn't mean it won't be replaced by new technology.

He also talks about 50 to 75% of the money going nowadays into bonds, index funds, etc., going into bitcoin in the future because, according to him, it is purchased as a store of value. He estimates that the total of the world's money currently invested in those assets but as a store of value is between $100 trillion and $250 trillion.

That calculation leaves a $15 million price per Bitcoin in today's purchasing power terms.

Bitcoin would become a cyber index of the entire world global economy on the blockchain.

We two are wishing he is right and hopefully he is not delusional but we must be more realistic and we can only calculate it based on what is happening now, and not on prediction and speculation, this is a high level speculation, Bitcoin is doing great right now but for how long there will be FUDS and correction along the way I prefer taking things based on what's coming not on what I assume will be.
374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Broner vs Campa Feb 13 on: January 10, 2021, 11:49:17 PM
The match is almost a gift for Broner who suffer losses from the hands of the top boxers in the welterweight division, this is a gift for him to comeback from an unknown fighter who has no experience fighting outside of Mexico, this should be an easy fight for him, if he losses the money stop for Broner as he will likely retire from boxing.
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who's still "mining" Pi on: January 10, 2021, 10:31:47 AM

To be honest, I met this project through my friend. So he downloaded its apk to my phone and added his referral to earn more. I did not perceive the project as shitcoin either. But, KYC is not worth it for the project whose value is not known. I was also unaware that the project had been continuing to extend the listing for 2 years, if so, I am not.

Two years and they do not have a good presence in this forum and other crypto social media account, I read that they have billions of supply, not good if you are only making 100 daily or less, people who mined this coin since the start will just dump this in the market, they are very much centralized, I don't think they will generate support, I prefer supporting Electroneum than this Pi Network which some members are trying to hype.
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH high gas fee on: January 10, 2021, 07:20:14 AM
Of course I, like everyone else, am tired of this big commission, so I am waiting for Ethereum 2.0. I hope this update will fix that.
you may be patient for that dude, ethereum 2.0 already expected to come at the end of this year but it may get another delay too. A few days ago i have been trying ti send a small amount of ethereum worth less than $5 and the tx fees cost me more than $9 and that's so crazy. It's too long for the sharding solution to be implemented.
It doesn't guarantee the result will be the same like the expectation by ethereum code developers.
I have the same experience sending $50 worth of altcoin for a $15 fee on one exchange I end up opting for USDT pair because it's been a long wait, waiting for the price to go down to $5 or less, I have no luck trading my altcoin to Ethereum because of the very high fee, I wonder what will happen to us small traders, with those huge fees.
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Partnerships must not be taken slightly on: January 10, 2021, 06:46:24 AM
Use case and partnership are two of the things that every investors and promoters should look on a project and they should partner with companies and projects with good reputation that will enhance their platform, these two are what defines a good project and will have a chance of adoption.
378  Economy / Speculation / Re: When and How much low on next Bear Market? on: January 10, 2021, 04:33:21 AM

I don't think we go that high 250k and I doubt we will even touch 100k on this bull run. I think 50k more likely but yes if we were to hit 250k then a drop to 7k-10k would be too much. I think we will not go further than 50k on this bull run but definitely will surpass that by large on next one.

I like your assessment, it's more realistic like all the others, we must not rule out the possibility of correction at more than 50% or a crash at 80% it's likely to happen, because we are in the first month of the year, we can only speculate and look at the past history of the market, I just hope this year will be different from all the past years.
379  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Peso ID - Short Bitcoin on: January 09, 2021, 11:40:12 PM

I'm comfortable sending the real BTC address actually to ask for payment. Not QR code nor short URL but REAL BTC address. There is just no room for mistake t=when doing so.

I agree do not trust third party with your Bitcoin address, with so many manipulation going on and OP not showing a good rank and trustworthiness I have doubt on this, there's no reason why you will cloak or hide your address unless you are involve on something suspicious.
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: So is it appropriate for us to BUY XRP now? on: January 09, 2021, 04:28:46 PM
Do you see the MOVMENT of today's XRP? So is it appropriate for us to BUY XRP now?

It's very risky now, the price is still not going down but it will be once more negative news starting coming up, the SEC has air tight case, and it's going to be a long court battle we don't want to be part of Ripple down fall, only die hard Ripple investors are contentiously buying and supporting  Ripple, there are a lot of Ripple shillers better look for other coins to invest.
