361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stupid Bitcoin Traders on: April 25, 2019, 03:19:48 PM
Don't know if your brother bought it again and following the golden rule that "if you own crypto, then do not tell anyone".

The mainstream media is highly negative for bitcoin and I guess he might be influenced by them.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: RichCat - the first Monopoly game in Blockchain on: April 25, 2019, 01:36:22 PM
YOPO Token! - YOPO Token is a Game Platform Coin by which players use or trade in all games. It can be always exchanged back to ETH at anytime. (1 ETH ≈ 1000 YOPO)  <---- When I saw that, I bailed out of the game.  Angry

Why do these developers have to bring in some obscure Alt coin into their games, when you have a perfect solution in Bitcoin with the Lightning Network.  Tongue

When will they learn from other people's mistakes?

Because they create the tons of supply of their  token by sending few dollars only. Not possible  if they give bitcoins.

I believe game should meet its original purpose (the game experience) , rewarding should be secondary purpose in game.
363  Other / Meta / Re: Forum moderation question on: April 25, 2019, 01:05:53 PM
And for some reasons due to a large number of post to be deleted there could be times that a deletion by mistake will going to happen.

I do not think so that there is deletion by mistake. It is sometime very hard to understand the reason of deletion.

Well, whatever the reason it will be as long as there are active moderators doing some work then that is an indicator that mods and staff here are working hard.

Forum will not be happy at all with these active moderators who can "delete by mistake".

Protip: To get qualified for the most surveys , say you own a business or have a management role in IT

@All , stay away from putting your details in any xyz site. no idea if OP owns this site and might be collecting the data.
365  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Real Problems with American Healthcare on: April 24, 2019, 05:22:54 PM
I guess healthcare is costly because hospitals have to treat everybody even the patient is able to pay or not .so they charges a premium fees so that they can remain profitable at end.

Only option I find to cut the cost is to stay healthy.

I've never read into a stat about this -- I'm going to have to research this and get back to you, as I'd like to see the amount of healthcare serviced used by those that have no ability to pay and won't be paying their bills.

Sure, I am referring to the below fact sheet.
https://www.aha.org/system/files/2019-01/uncompensated-care-fact-sheet-jan-2019.pdf

38.4 billion of uncompensated care is provided last year. Hospital already know that they have to give uncompensated care so the charge very high to those who are able to pay.

One for article for your read.
https://www.modernhealthcare.com/article/20180106/NEWS/180109940/hospital-profits-uncompensated-care-climb

On top of  it Pharma companies are trying to show that they are caring for patient and will help in cost cutting of health care but in reality their profits are increasing.

Wishing you a good luck in researching this on deep but something is very wrong, even big corporation are not happy with the current system.

*snip*
*snip*

Pretty much this. I'm guessing that your friends probably picked to transact with people with little to no reputation, hence the bad experience. If possible, try looking for people to transact with personally, in a mall, a bank, or somewhere safe enough to transact significant amounts of money.

It might be hacked account of some past reputable user or some past reputable user sold it and now new owner might be dishonest.

What about buying things from BTC for your friends and accept fiat from them .(No idea if purse.io or something equivalent to it exist in your country.)
367  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merit giveaway to Full members and Below on: April 24, 2019, 04:23:30 PM
Not against the rule but it is very irritating specially when you have just "5" to spare. On the top of it you started comparing your thread with the thread of OgNasty who is a "Merit Source".
368  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Investors Be Ok With Taking Calculated Risks. on: April 24, 2019, 03:47:43 PM
Just need to diversify your investment portfolio so if any asset did not appreciate (or depreciate) then the gains from other asset will make up.
Unfortunatly, I have already seen too many investors who have understood "diversify your portfolio" as "buying as many different coins as possible". Due to the fact that every coin is rising and falling with bitcoin it makes little sense to buy different coins, you should rather see your crypto investments as a single asset. Mixing cryptos with stocks and fonds or gold works very good in my opinion (no investment advice!).

Thanks for clarifying it. I really do not want to say that "buy different coins" for diversify the platform.
The best investment in my eyes is to invest in yourself for building skillsets but it is one of the hardest job and require a lot of  dedication and commitment.
369  Other / Meta / Re: In the process of willingly locking mdayonliner [locked: Password inside] on: April 24, 2019, 03:27:59 PM
I think you should come back mdayonliner. It's like loosing something for sure.

He'll likely be around on one account or another. This one will probably ramp up the posting and merit-hunting now: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2508950

I doubt it.

Anyways mday is widely experienced on forum working and knowledgeable too. I guess if he come back again or already here , then he will cover all tracks so that it may become very difficult to trace him back to this account.

Edit: I really hope this is the end of this account and all the sob stories associated  with it. May you sleep well every night.
370  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie wearing signature and personal text... on: April 24, 2019, 03:11:44 PM
He was probably a higher rank and deleted all his posts.

This user recently woke up from a long period of inactivity.

Probably a hacked account as well.

A Sr. Member maybe? because if he was a Hero Member, even if he deleted all of his posts, his activity won't changed at all(correct me if I'm wrong)

Deletion of post will cause activity to change and it does not matter what rank you are in. Even l never find any legendary member deranking , But you can find deranked Hero Member profile below.

372  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Investors Be Ok With Taking Calculated Risks. on: April 24, 2019, 12:10:49 AM
If something can be calculated then how it can be risk?
Just need to diversify your investment portfolio so if any asset did not appreciate (or depreciate) then the gains from other asset will make up. I will also advise to stay away from the product that you do not understand. Instead of going through word of mouth, you should first research the product yourself before making investment decisions.
373  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Avoiding The Post Hoc Fallacy When Trading on: April 24, 2019, 12:01:41 AM
tl;dr

You did not read your own article? If you have copied it then add the proper references.

Anyways for making decision you not only need all the current data but historical data too. By checking what event caused what prive movement in history will give you some idea, how the market can behave in future if same events happens again.(though previous performance does not gurrantee the same future performance.)

375  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do you imagine ideal society? on: April 23, 2019, 05:05:22 PM

If you read Bible it seems...

And if you read science then you will find that no ideal system exist practically. All ideal system are just theoretical concepts so same will apply to ideal society.

In theory, an ideal society is society where everybody is happy, stress free, disease free and able to do thing according to their own wishes.
376  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [suggestion] what is the best fee for this business? on: April 23, 2019, 04:52:18 PM
And there is already some marketplayer like BTCpay that are offering service for free. I think if you are solely looking for profit then you need to provide something more than payment gateway approach or better find something else that is not so saturated.
377  Other / Meta / Re: Forum moderation question on: April 23, 2019, 03:28:34 PM
I remove the posts I spot and believe to be off topic regardless of if they're reported or not.
It is expected. Why Mods will wait for something to be reported. Smiley

There are no strict numbers when taking into consideration bans and it's not usually you've had x amount of posts removed so that deserves a ban but an admin may take the number into consideration in certain cases.

Is "Good reports" are further classified while taking an action? Because there might numerous reason for post to be deleted. A simple bump without deleting previous bump can cause good report . A broken post not making any sense will also cause a good report.

So do mods further classify the good reports that should lead to ban?
378  Other / Meta / Re: is it plagiarism? on: April 23, 2019, 12:42:31 PM
Basically, as long as you linked the source article, you're going to be fine. The bans are for those who copied content without giving proper credits to the original source/writer.

You are going to be fine in this forum. (This forum will not ban you for plagiarism.) You should also check for notes/footnotes of the source websites that prohibits you from copying their material for any reason. If there is any warning then I suggest you to not to use that source in this forum. (Generally every thing in free domain can be used but if it is paid content for member only then you will see the warning of no copying of their data/article.)

379  Other / Meta / Re: Forum moderation question on: April 23, 2019, 12:30:08 PM
Can you provide the value of "x" in six month that you are talking above.

Mine reply also got deleted that is also on the same lines on that thread.

Only 2 possibilities here:
1. Some posts/users reply were selectively reported.
2. Mods did not find that chipmixer discussion on "Yobit" signature thread as off topic Smiley
380  Other / Meta / Re: The problem begins and ends with YOU. on: April 22, 2019, 11:20:21 AM
It's clear that theymos and the admins don't care, hence nothing will happen. Like everyone else, you'll eventually get tired of the forum politics and move over to reddit.

Unfortunately, you will again find Theymos in r/bitcoin.

PS: Nobody is forcing anybody to enter in forum politics. Some user have their own hidden agendas and it is natural to have conflict of interest.
