361  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Pilipinas (Philippines) on: October 04, 2015, 04:05:02 AM

ok but then why some have their own sub forum here specially for those countries which speaks english fluently and have less numbers than Filipinos? can you explain?

If you look at the description of this sub-forum it is Other languages/locations.

The Canada thread you are referring to is a location, as well as the Phillipines for that matter.

The Russian and Duesch threads are examples of a language thread.

If I created a "Bisaya Thread" that would be an example of a language thread.

That's why.

We are not asking for our own forum, we are asking for a sub forum. I think you know well the difference. If not, i understand your thinking is very limited

Yes sub-forum is what I meant but also your own forum on a different domain would be best if you have the hundreds of users you claim.

I thought the issue was over. LOL. Didn't you'd post again in here.

Wo you really want to take this over the mods do you? I thought you said you've had enough?

You might want to check the time stamps and take anything you want to the mods LOL.

I think you are the one who needs to upgrade his critical thinking. Your reasoning is invalid. There is a need for us to discuss bitcoin and things that pertain to it in a Philippine setting and by having our own sub-forum will provide the solution for that.

Language specific sub-forums are for countries and people that do not speak English.

Again that is why we do not have a UK, Australian, New Zealand or Canadian sub forum.

While there are a number of people in Germany, India and The Netherlands that indeed do speak English, a large majority of the population does not.

The Philippines is an English speaking nation.

The primary language of this board is English and as such you can use the existing boards without any need for a Tagalog board.

Nanggugulo na naman itong si Bicolexpress, kumokontra na naman sa request natin na magkaroon ng sariling sub-forum. Sa tingin ko nga mukhang pinoy or may dugong pinoy ito.

Bicolexpress one of my favorite foods!

Nandito yaan kanina. Dito nagpost nung nipost nya dun sa thread natin sa meta. Haha. Parang sinasabi na we can't have our own sub-section just because we are bi-lingual. Kasalanan ba natin maging educated tayo? Haha. Saka sa tingin ko naman mas deserve natin yung sub-forum kesa dun sa iba na meron na kasi hindi naman sila active.  Undecided

I'm not saying you shouldn't have your own forum because you are bi-lingual.

What I am saying is that you do not need another forum because you speak English fluently which is the primary language of this forum.

I realize it is hard for you crabs to think critically but at least try :-)

366  Other / Meta / Re: Can the Philippines PLEASE get their own sub-section? on: October 04, 2015, 12:36:36 AM
that's not right. you can say the same thing about German and Dutch. over half of those countries' population can speak english just like Philippines. and the India local board is 80% in English.

Germany, Netherlands and India don't have English as the official language of their country.

The Philippines is by law an English speaking nation.

Also in contrast is that any literate Filipino speaks English, not so true in Germany, Netherlands or India.

There is no need for a "Philippine Sub Form".

If there's that much of a user base, start your own Pinoy Altcoin Forum on another domain.

367  Other / Meta / Re: Member: idol << ACCOUNT HACKED on: October 04, 2015, 12:29:04 AM
Hello,

I was talking to idol just minute ago (on a Slack), and he told me that his account was hacked/stolen.

He has a little problem with finding a way to prove that he is the real owner as he hasn't post any BTC address.
Once he PMed an alt addy to some coin dev and that's it.

But anyway, I told him to contact Theymos about this case as only he can help.

I just want to warn all of you to not deal with "idol" https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=250775   at the moment.

The person which is using idol account might be a hacker or a thief so be careful as you might be blinded by his trust feedbacks.

Best regards.

Translation:

I got caught or am about to get caught and/or implicated in a scamming attempt and I need deniability so I will make unfounded claims of hacking.

That's why you aren't getting any response.

I would like to see stat's but I doubt many legendary accounts have been sold.  I'm sure there are a few but it has to be a small amount.

Accounts on all levels are bought and sold.

Even a VIP, Tradefotress sold his VIP account to Quickseller a while back.

So you are dismissing us our right to have a sub-section for us just because we are educated well enough to speak english?

Yes that is exactly what I am saying.

I think you finally get it.

The Philippines speak English and that is why we do not have a UK, Australian, New Zealand or Canadian sub-forum, because they all speak English.

Language sub-forums are for non English speakers.

All literate Filipinos speak English.

Channeling my inner Techshare

Okay so now you've basically proven there are people abusing the DT, what's next?

Are you going to next tell us that people are wrongfully removed from DT because they speak out against injustice?

P.S.  Excellent work Dogie.
371  Other / Meta / Re: Can the Philippines PLEASE get their own sub-section? on: October 03, 2015, 11:25:31 PM
I have a feeling BitcoinExpress is a Filipino too.  Don't be ashamed of your nationality. Smiley

There's no need for any Pilipino sub-forum.

English is the official language of the Philippines.

All government business and documents, all banking transactions of any kind ,all legal and court proceedings, birth certificates, marriage certificates, anything and everything official is English.

In 1987 the Philippine Constitution was amended to make English the official written language and Tagalog the official spoken language.

Every child in every school in the Philippines for the last 40 years has been required to have a fluency proficiency in English before leaving primary school.

What a "Filipino Sub-Forum" does do is make it harder for non Tagalog speaking Mods and people who call out scams to monitor the section.

The Pilipinos that can't speak English are the province peasants who are basically the equivalent of the Appalachian inbred in the US, not exactly the crypto type.

It's the first time I saw you in here. Is this your main account or an alt? You can list your name on the list you can see before your post here. It's for the pwtition for us to have our sub-forum. You should stop-by in here for some times, We could use a new people around here everyday. Smiley
I only have this account.

Only since 2015 most discussions here are in Tagalog, which is great, but I barely understand them haha. Before that I replied a bit more often because it was more in English.  Actually I think that proves the Filipinos are using more and more bitcoin.

BadBear (I assume he reads this topic from time to time Tongue), just check page 66, that is the last page before 2015. Most discussions before 2015 were in English and IMO there weren't that many Filipinos here. But since then, we had another 357 pages of posts for a total of 423 pages. The activity in this thread has sky-rocketed(!) Just imagine 66 pages in 2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014 and now already 357 pages in 2015!!

We need a PHILIPPINES subforum Smiley

Current standing:
 1. Mr.Seller
 2. Hexcoin
 3. yakelbtc
 4. jacee
 5. bitwarrior
 6. DaddyMonsi
 7. Shinpako09
 8. umair01
 9. YuginKadoya
10. Syndria
11. zecexe
12. Phibay
13. NLNico
14. ralle14
15.
16.
17.

Yes indeed there has been 357 pages since January 2015 but that does not mean a large user base.

What it does mean is that 5-6 users are posting over and over again.

One of the users in your list is a known scammer with 3 alts in your list.

Another reason for saying no to a sub-foum is that the conversation is 99% Altcoins and this is a Bitcoin forum.

Why do you think you should be unbanned.

375  Other / Meta / Re: Altcoin Announcements subforum with uneditable posts? on: October 03, 2015, 01:33:19 AM
It always amazes me at how the noobs around here assume anyone in charge here actually cares about Altcoins.

As someone that was here before the Altcoin section existed I know it was created for one reason only.

To keep the garbage out of the main bitcoins section and nothing more.

Alternate Currency section = Alt Trashcan and nothing more.

I am not suggesting that you can take a known liar's assertions and invert them get at the truth.
I am suggesting that his statements about his alts have been found to be unreliable in the past.

Why do you bring logic and reason to a Bitcointalk.org debate?

There is a very high probability of TF and QS being one in the same.

377  Other / Meta / Re: Trust List Analysis - Ethics on: October 03, 2015, 01:08:24 AM
Hello all,

I was spending some time with the new Excel and decided to code something that analysed the trust list dumps in a different way to the visualisations. Essentially this tool is able to identify multiple accounts which may belong to the same owner. The results are statistically significant however should still only constitute one piece of evidence of a link between accounts.

Rather than going into detail, I wanted to ask what people's thoughts are on the privacy issue surrounding trust lists. One person I contacted felt it was a personal intrusion that I had looked at their list (I've looked at all lists), even though the information was public and actively shared. Additionally, this tool may 'out' alt accounts which aren't nessecarily doing anything wrong or may indicate a link when there isn't one.

Vote above, I'll create a new thread if it comes to posting it.

tldr: made a tool that may identify alt accounts, should it be posted?

Trust list are public info.

There is no "privacy invasion issue".

Blacklisting bitcoins is useless why , every bitcoin blacklisted is one less to be never be replaced! so I cant see how you can effectively blacklist a BTC Smiley , sorry!

Read up on Gavin and Hearn's philosophy and find out how.

It's in Bitcoin XT.

Also just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it's impossible.

380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: iGotSpots Scam Dev on: October 03, 2015, 12:50:17 AM
then you old fucks need to get some fucking glasses.

for shame.

Post some proof or STFU.

All 26 alts of 3 different people are screaming "Spots is a scammer" but not one of them in nearly 20 pages, 400 replies and 2 1/2 months can provide a single documented shred of proof.

Not one.

Show where he intentionally offered a service, commodity or coin for an agreed upon price, took the money and didn't deliver what he "sold" you.

Again, just because you lost money in any coin he launched does not make him a scammer.

It simply indicates there was a deficit between your perceived skill in investing and reality.
