361  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Canaan Avalon 1246 Temperature Anomaly? on: March 03, 2021, 03:29:50 PM
Would it be a difficult operation to re-paste the A1246 hash board heat sink?
That would be my suggestion for a fix procedure.
362  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Canaan Avalon 1246 Temperature Anomaly? on: March 01, 2021, 05:39:40 AM
You have one chip reporting the 91C temperature (in the first hash board, see PVT_T0 values). Maybe a bad asic chip or a bad contact with the heat sink?
The TMax literally just shows the highest reading among all the chips.

Do they have a different pinout in the 4-pin fan connector compared to the usual?
364  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Antminer S9 questions and data on: February 27, 2021, 04:11:51 PM
Yes the S9k has had a huge failure rate, the other S9 variants work better.

I think it's ridicculous that they even keep the web shop open because nowadays they don't have anything for sale most of the time, and when they do, the lead time is like 1/2 years.

They should just shut down the web shop.

@Mikey
Here is one article for gpu: https://www.overclockers.com/the-oven-trick-repairing-your-broken-video-card-with-an-oven/

I haven't tested this so I'M UNABLE TO GIVE MY REVIEW FOR THE PROCESS AND ALL THE RISKS ARE YOUR OWN.

I would recommend using an oven in which you don't cook your food.

Has anyone considered putting their bad hash board to oven as some people do for GPUs? In hopes of re-soldering it.

Also, DJ Miner (distributor) says that the P21 can be used with the M10

370  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: I am searching for 2 T3 innoslicon PSU on: February 21, 2021, 07:52:40 AM
There are so many T3 variants that you might want to describe which T3 variant you have exactly.
371  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Help me to setup used EBANG Ebit 9+ on: February 18, 2021, 04:59:49 PM
Would you care to share what fixed it?
So that other people with same problem can find help from your solution.
372  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Anyone stateside got any Avalon 921 fans? on: February 17, 2021, 09:12:06 PM
One more thing to mention, that while looking at the Digikey site,
I also found Sunon PFE0381BX-000U-S99 which is also comparable and about ten bucks lower price than Delta.

Glad to help. Smiley

These seem to be hard to find from somewhere else than China,
for good price.

AVC DBPC1438B2H (one model that I know Canaan has used),
I only found listings in Aliexpress and some other Chinese marketplaces.

Delta PFM1412DEB7V (one that I found to be comparable with the AVC one),
this has quite good availability but eg. Digikey asks 54 bucks for one.

Have you considered reaching Canaan directly?

Their sales email: sales@canaan.io

EDIT: Woop woop, this is my 3500th post.  Grin

I've bought gear few times from Eastshore without issues.

The Canaan distributor in Europe is Cryptouniverse from Vienna, Austria. www.cryptouniverse.at
But I'm not sure if they still sell gear. Or if they just havent updated the website for a while.
I've bought gear from them as well and it went smooth.
