361  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SIGNATURE on: April 11, 2018, 09:37:38 PM
Regarding your signature, here is a quote by @theymos (forum administrator) regarding signature guidelines:

Perhaps the allowed signature styling should change with activity score / membergroup. Like:
- Newbie: No styling (including links) allowed. Max 40 characters.
- Jr. Member: Links allowed. Max 100 characters.
- Member: Unlimited length.
- Full: Color allowed.
- Sr. Member: Size allowed
- Hero: Background color allowed

Then newbies will be less effective advertisers, which would hopefully significantly reduce the incentive for low-content posts. And when people become capable of effectively advertising through their signatures, they'll have invested a lot of time into their accounts, and they won't risk being banned by spamming.

Here's information about signature campaigns: Signature Campaign Guidelines (read this before starting or joining a campaign)

And here is information about everything else. May I suggest that you read this before asking any more questions?

There is a reason that there is so much skepticism when it comes to BTC/PP trades. In my history of Bitcoin, I have lost more money to PayPal scams than I have to completing successful exchanges using the payment processor.

Yet I fall right into the same category of people that @KWH's signature is about.

Bitcoin is so easy. PayPal is so easy. Together, it's a fucking train wreck, but I still believe in the good of people, and that there are people out there that aren't just out to scam others that truly need services like BTC/PayPal trades. Is it naive of me? Absolutely. Can you bet I'm going to seek and provide the fuck out of due diligence before any of these trades? Yup.

A lot of skeptics, especially here, but good luck to finding someone who's willing to sell BTC to ya, mate! If you're willing to accept my terms, I'm willing to see you some BTC.

Cheers!

BUMP.....BTC needed again.

How much are you looking to buy? Are you willing to provide KYC verification? At the very least, a picture of you holding up an ID with a name that matches the name on your PayPal account?

This is concerning for me (from your trust ratings):

Can you explain that? I see you've both left red trust for each other.

366  Economy / Services / Re: I am a SEO God. Ask me your SEO question for $10. on: April 11, 2018, 05:15:45 PM
Maybe you are a SEO guru. Maybe you know many things about DM.

But with this attitude you are not going to achieve anything.

Came here to say this.

OP, I understand that you’re trying to build an avatar for yourself here, but you’re going about it the wrong way. It’s one thing to be an expert at something, and another to be a complete asshole. You seemed to have mixed the two together, which doesn’t work when you’re trying to ask strangers for money to ask you a question that they could easily ask Google first.

You haven’t proven yourself to be an expert, but you have succeeded in showing that you’re unwilling to be fair to others who are providing feedback, which goes to show me (and I’m sure many others) that you don’t have a level head for this type of business.

I’m also in the SEO game, so if anyone reading this has a question regarding specific SEO information, send me a PM and I’ll point you in the right direction. For free.

Don’t submit yourself to the likes of this abusive wolf ticket seller.
367  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: i sell bitcoins for paypal without ID required <paxful , localbitcoins> on: April 11, 2018, 04:43:19 PM
Why are you so defensive? The screenshots are of disputes in my resolution center, which I have never had a problem with before, until the payments were disputed. I’m just warning you that disputes are possible, regardless of what PayPal has stated. I’ve given you fair warning, so don’t come crying when it happens for the first time. I used to think it wasn’t possible, as well, as you can clearly see from my post history. But after these transactions, I’m extremely careful with who I do deals with now. Just because someone says they’ll send FnF doesn’t mean anything for me anymore.

Notice that this is a direct payment. No fees were indicated, which means it was a Friends or Family payment.

You’re welcome. Take a look at my post history. I have no reason to fud or lie about this, as all I do is try and help these forums and its members.
368  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: i sell bitcoins for paypal without ID required <paxful link attached> on: April 11, 2018, 10:57:36 AM

1) The buyer can't dispute if he sent the payment as friends or family.
2)yes you are right but i'm new here.

This is not true. I have had a few payments that were sent to me as Friends or Family that have been disputed and withdrawn from my account. I don’t know where you got that info from, but it absolutely is possible to have FF payments charged back on PayPal.

Please check this article
https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/About-Protections/Can-you-dispute-a-friends-and-family-payment/td-p/841206
a paypal employee says that paypal payments sent as friends or family can't be disputed .

I don't give a shit what they said. I've had chargebacks for Friends and Family payments. Every single one of these screenshots were Friends and Family payments that were disputed by the buyer.

369  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [OPEN][WTS] BTC for PayPal (preev +6% / minimum $50US) on: April 11, 2018, 07:05:37 AM
I have done a transaction with user @-doubleU-.

They have sent me US$50 via PayPal.

Upon receipt of the buyer's payment, I have sent them 0.00689BTC.

This was a smooth deal to help establish trust between us as a first-time exchange.
370  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Recommend some Cryptocurrency wallet that is UI friendly to a Newbie? on: April 11, 2018, 06:25:07 AM
Check out https://greenaddress.it/ for a SegWit-enabled wallet that you can download to your PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad or Android device.

Green Address is a bitcoin wallet that's pretty newbie-friendly and supports SegWit.

If you're looking for a wallet that can support multiple cryptos, you can check out Jaxx at https://jaxx.io/. The software is also available for PC, Mac, iDevices, Android devices, and as a Chrome extension. Jaxx allows you to store your own private keys while having one of the easiest-to-use GUI's available throughout all the wallet options.

Edit:

People, stop recommending Coinbase.
Coinbase is not a wallet.

In fact, you should NEVER hodl any coins on any exchanges. Source? Ask any Mt. Gox or BitGrail or CoinCheck members Tongue
371  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk forum needs to be more customized or not? on: April 11, 2018, 06:21:59 AM
Search bar should have many filters options that I can choose and find only what I need to or what I want to.

Have you tried clicking on the "SEARCH" link in the navigation bar?

For everything else, I like having the forums the way it is. I think simplicity is always the best option.
372  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [OPEN][WTS] BTC for PayPal (preev +6%) on: April 11, 2018, 05:28:37 AM
I am looking to exchange some Bitcoin to PayPal. If you’re looking to buy some, you’re in the right place.

Some stipulations:
  • Your PayPal account must be verified
  • You must be ranked Member or higher, unless you have positive trust by a DT member or a member in my personal trust network
  • If you do not have positive trust, you must provide me with KYC verification with a form of identification with the same name of your PayPal account
  • I will sell you BTC at preev.com rates +6%
  • I’m only looking to do deals of at least $50USD

I will use an escrow only if you request it, but please note that escrows for PayPal exchanges are redundant unless you’re willing to allow the BTC to be escrowed for 180 days until the risk of you disputing the transaction is clear.

Friends or Family payments are preferred. If you want to pay for Goods or Services, please provide me with your PayPal email address so that I can email you an invoice. I will require you to reply from that email address with verification before payment is made (unless you have positive trust feedback for prior trades).

You will send first, unless you’re a Hero/Legendary member with positive trust.

For the sake of transparency, all deals will be conducted in this thread. All private correspondence will be made public if we come to an agreement.

Newbies and brokers, don’t bother replying. Your posts will be deleted.

Thanks!

375  Other / Meta / Re: A PROPOSAL TO AVOID OR MINIMIZE SCAM PROJECTS AND BOUNTIES on: April 11, 2018, 12:57:53 AM
I think your suggestion goes against the very nature of having an open forum to discuss bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. What you’re proposing is essentially centralizing the method of filtering which projects are allowed and which aren’t, which leaves the discretion of new announcements and content up to staff members or moderators. This leaves a lot of room for personal opinions, and I’d hate to see a great project not get a fair shot because their reach on the forums may been limited due to bad blood between the campaign manager and a staff member, for example. Or the contrary; what if another BitConnect scenario happens, and it gets approved to be here and ends up running off with everyone’s money in the end. Who will be liable?

I don’t think it’s fair to leave the responsibility with the staff members. Not just for everyone else, but for them, as well. If I were staff, I would not want any liability whatsoever when it comes to ICO’s and new altcoins... I think the best method is the way that it currently is: allow each individual user to do their due diligence before they make a conscious decision to invest in the coin or join a bounty campaign.

Not to mention the amount of time it would take to filter through those applications... lol. I believe in Darwinism. Let the suckers either learn from stupid mistakes or filter themselves out of existence.

so no new members, I check that now.

No, that screenshot is dated December of 2017, while the article that OP posted was released just 7 hours ago. What are you trying to say? Huh

OP, this doesn’t belong in this category. It belongs in Service Discussion > Exchanges. You can move this topic by clicking the “Move topic” link at the bottom left of this page.
377  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer alert on: April 11, 2018, 12:15:56 AM
I’ve discussed this scenario before in this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3035620.0 whereas someone on the internet searches for a term like “buy Xbox live bitcoin” and then gets directed here. It’s been discussed before, as well, that default trust ratings should be displayed to all users and guests whether logged in or not. Feel free to suggest the same thing again, but it’s unlikely that this will be implemented if it hasn’t already.

It’s very unfortunate, but ultimately, it’s the buyer’s responsibility to do due diligence before making purchases online. I know that bitcointalk will never assume liability for the marketplace and economy that its users implement, but it still doesn’t look good as the site that facilitates these types of scammers.

Received, and I am now logged in with the new account.

Thank you for the timely service! As always, I’ll continue to provide this thread with ongoing updates. Thanks for dealing with this so quickly!
379  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Private Spotify Accounts | 1 Full Year Service | ONLY $5 on: April 10, 2018, 10:06:14 PM
After 2 days, this account is still in working order, which is more than I can say for the last Spotify account I purchased from another seller. I'll continue to provide updates as I continue using the account! Thanks, OP!

Edit: I may have spoken too soon. While I was using this account, it appears as if the owner logged in and started listening, rendering my session useless Sad

Hey @flora_digitalis, I have an all-hands company meeting on Thursday, where I will bring up this opportunity. I will have more details about this promotional opportunity afterwards. Thanks for your patience!
