Just a reminder...I still don't have my 1 BTC due to Wetsuit's lies.

MD

From my understanding, you deposited money to test the bonus promotion. Then you proceeded to gamble it via the multiplier because you weren't expecting the way that the deposit was handled on the website. So let me ask you this; why didn't you just try to get a withdrawal at the time, before you lost it all gambling? I have seen wetsuit pay a user back 77BTC before because of a mistake (that the user made; not wetsuit). But that user never gambled the money away. You did.

Dude, just accept your loss and move on. No one's going to take your position on this one. If you wouldn't have gambled your deposit away, I could see getting behind you and getting your bitcoin back out. But simply put, you gambled it away. Nobody "made" you do that. You did it on your own.

Alright everyone, an update! I tested out the TOR nodes on a Virtual Machine on my computer running linux. It looked to be working fine, however my PC crashed because it did not have the RAM to support two machines at the same time (low end PC struggles lol). So it works fine guys, but you need to install that specific file on linux.

Took me an hour and a half of frustrating work and no screenshots. Feelsbadman  Cry Cry Cry

So what was the point of testing? I once had a threesome with Miley Cyrus and Adele, but my iPhone was full on memory so I couldn't record picture or video Sad But don't worry guys, it was great, trust me!

Do some more testing and provide us with some actual screenshots; not just your word. Otherwise, it looks like you're blatantly begging for TOR... Especially considering that you're asking for more bounties to do social media marketing. Roll Eyes

Just telling it like I see it

@SysFailure and @BitcoinFX, you talk with so much confidence and you sound convincing. But I won't blindly take what you have said until I hear from @TheTorCoin.

That being said, it looks you work for the TOR network or you have been tasked by them to come on here (this thread) and demean TOR Coin.
My suggestion is this; Both parties settle your differences, then collaborate and let's make this work.
What do you say??

I do not work for Tor. I'm not asking you to blindly take what I say. I provided actual evidence, you can even download the wireshark packet captures that I linked. Even better, you can do your own packet captures. TorCoin does NOT connect to the tor network. It's plain as day.

Don't bother mate. These poor bag holders are in denial. Whatever you say, regardless of proof, they won't believe you...

I'm running the TOR signature, but I'm far from one of these bagholders that you're talking about. I did see in previous messages that the linux wallet allows for a "stealth" mode. I looked for it on my Mac wallet, but didn't see the option.

-snip-

The Windows and MACOS wallets don't integrate with TOR yet - but they will soon.  For now, it's just the linux version.  We have active devs working to create a switch that will enable users to turn Tor on/off when using the Windows and MacOS wallets, which enables them to comply with laws in their country or bypass Tor blockages (ie, in China)

Windows and MacOS are a nightmare for compatibility and development, as anyone in the industry knows. Getting them to integrate with TOR has not been easy, but it's under active development, along with an Android wallet.

The linux version does indeed create a Tor node, despite the FUD >> https://github.com/TorCoinProject/torcoin/tree/tor

Can you provide a projected timeline for when the PC/Mac versions will be available? Are we weeks away? Months?

Additionally, you may want to update the website and top post to inform anyone viewing the coin that "stealth" modes for PC/Mac are in the pipeline. It's better to stay transparent than anything.

give me your skype ID

EDIT: nevermind, just gave him the code, but leaving negative feedback.

Tried to work out a deal with this buyer. He agreed to pay $15, but sent $14.05: https://blockchain.info/tx/bd479d47eadf5f936f7a2441a68a09873982e44564791984b908ae6cd7688b25

When confronted about it, he blamed the fees, and when I said I'd leave him neutral feedback, he came back at me with saying that he didn't like the way I treated him LOL

Here is the dialogue:

[5/16/17, 2:28:03 PM] Free Bitcoin Expert: lol really?! You're going to turn this around on me? The terms were the terms, you agreed to them, and you paid less than the agreed amount
[5/16/17, 2:28:28 PM] Free Bitcoin Expert: when I told you about it, you said "this time please let me for this price" instead of "I'll send you $1 for the balance"
[5/16/17, 2:28:47 PM] Free Bitcoin Expert: and then you want positive feedback, and then say you don't like how I treated you?

I could give you negative feedback for the way you went about this transaction, but I said I would give you neutral feedback instead. And then you said you don't like the way I treat you, so I'm just going to refund your btc (minus the fees). I don't want to deal with someone like you
[5/16/17, 2:33:11 PM] Mili HoRiZoN: :O

[5/16/17, 2:34:11 PM] Free Bitcoin Expert: No, man. The deal was $15. I don't have $15 from you. Dude, I don't care if you're a dollar short, or 10 cents short. A deal is a deal.
[5/16/17, 2:34:15 PM] Free Bitcoin Expert: Sorry man, this is business
[5/16/17, 2:34:53 PM] Mili HoRiZoN: man I said you I will pay 1$ extra in next order
[5/16/17, 2:34:56 PM] Mili HoRiZoN: OK ?
[5/16/17, 2:36:02 PM] Free Bitcoin Expert: This was a code that I bought to use for myself. I paid $24.99 for it. I don't need the code anymore, and I don't run a "shop". Forget it. I'm sending your payment back once it confirms.

the team meet some problem.i think the bounty will delay.

Delay is not a big problem,, All participant need to increase their patience,,

all bounty participant, i think need is dev always update about problem, and when can ready distribution bounty
It's time to show our support again as they have some serious problem. As a bounty participant, i am not worried about my payment.Because dev is working hard to fix the problem that found in HMQ code.

Sorry, but the coin dev working hard to fix the problem has nothing to do with why you haven't received your bounty yet. The terms of the bounty were simple. Promises of payments were made, and updates were lacking. Not a great start, but transparency is pretty important when launching a new coin. Hope y'all can get it together!

Additionally, I know that 99Bitcoins' faucet doesn't allow for referrals and referral commissions. You'll get some users on your site, but you'll get a considerable amount more if you allow for referrals and commissions. Is there a reason why you haven't included ref earnings?

First of all, you forgot to include a URL to your site. It's all good, because I found it anyways.

Second, after registration, why show "Registration Successful" highlighted in red? That confused me; it should be green.

Additionally, after logging in, I get redirected to http://xiobtc.com/faucet__trashed-2/

But I was able to get 100 satoshi for my first claim.

Check out some of those little errors, and good luck with your new faucet!

1211  Economy / Speculation / Re: How realistic are the $1M Bitcoin predictions? on: May 15, 2017, 07:43:01 PM
There's no way to predict the future. But one way to figure out how realistic it may be is to do some math to see what levels of adoption would be needed for the demand to drive the price to those levels.

We have an estimate X bitcoin owners today and Y bitcoins outstanding/mined and Z price per bitcoin.

So there's a relationship between X and Y to Z. If you change Z to $500,000 or $1,000,000 and solve for X you can find out how much adoption and demand would be needed. To get even more precise you should change the level of Y to reflect a future supply of bitcoin that would be higher than it is today, the effect of which will slow the price growth to adoption rate a bit.

The real challenge in the math is estimate how many users there are. There isn't good data on this, however we do have good data on the number of wallets open (currently at about 13.5 million).

Even if you google "how many people use bitcoin" you'll get an incredibly wide range of answers. In this case, take the lowest and highest estimates and create a range for your math.

Once you have a range based on the math you can determine how likely (or not likely) it is to reach that range of adoption to drive the price to $500,000 to $1M.

Maybe there's 10M bitcoin owners today. Could that number get to 100M? Absolutely, and if supply did not change than that would (in theory) raise the bitcoin price by 10 (so $20,000). Assuming no increase in supply, but another 10 fold increase in owners from 100M to 1B we (in theory) could have a bitcoin price of $200,000.  We're only a fifth of the way to a $1M price per coin and we need just less than a fifth of the world's population to get there. This also assumes that each user maintains their current holdings and isn't buying more.

Another assumption to factor in (and one that makes reaching the price beyond this basic math more feasible) is considering how many businesses own bitcoin. Businesses can drive the price way up because they often have greater resources to buy the coin!

The discussion can get quite fun when we start talking about the math!

And with supply are you taking availability into account? The maximum number of 23M bitcoins circulating around the world

21M Bitcoin.

In regards to this discussion, if you would have told me back in 2010 that Bitcoin would be worth $1,000 one day, I would have laughed.

I've got friends that have adopted Bitcoin when the ticket was XBT and some even before that. Some mistakes were made along the way, such as spending or selling them at $25-50... while a few of them held on and are now Bitcoin millionaires.

My dumbass never got in because I didn't have the intuition at the time... but I got in under $300 so I'm not doing too bad.

Is $500k a possibility? Yes, it is. Is $1MM? Absolutely. Is it likely to happen? I firmly believe so.

Why? Because fiat currency is almost obsolete. Even credit card and digital payments are almost the "norm" for fiat currency spending. There's nowhere for currency to evolve into besides digital currency.

It's all about adapting to technology... remember when apple released the iPhone 7 without a headphone jack, and everyone complained and said that was the biggest mistake that Apple made? Yeah, look at the sales. I'm typing this on my 7 right now.

Technology scares people because it's new and something they don't often understand. Bitcoin is the same way. I think where we are at with BTC is that people don't understand it just yet, but the global hype is peaking their interest about it. Once we approach 'critical mass' the price and availability will be dependent on the demand of the available supply. Once the last btc has been mined, that's it. Supply is capped. It's not like fiat currency that can be printed for no good reason.

$500k per BTC? Yup. Definitely a possibility. Probably not for a good couple decades, but definitely possible.

Oh. But the transactions and confirmation issues need to be dealt with. Fuck a hard fork, start with a soft fork and see how else to adapt thereafter.

All of you sellers as well investors, traders are invited to use bitgrail.com, there you can trade your coins with safety, without any risk, deposit your xrb and get them into 5-15 minutes, carefull read the rules before deposit and trade. Mercatox has made again promises and soo far they still have huge delays over deposits, soo its up to each of you to trade there, but if you wanna a good service just follow my advice.

Can anyone vouch for this exchange? It's very new and I'm not sure if I can trust an exchange this new. Regardless, I've tried to register and this is what I get:

I like this deal much better than the BTC/TOR one, but if I may be honest, I may have trouble posting 15x per week in altcoin as my posts may come off "spammy" for doing so. I only like to post high-quality posts on subjects that I'm knowledgeable about, and unfortunately, I only follow a few altcoins, most of which I'm very familiar with, excluding me from having to post in their threads.

I hate to open up a can of worms (because others are sure to request the same after I do), but can I be a part of this particular Torcoin-exclusive Signature campaign, but minus the requirement of having 15 posts in alt sections? Please let me know, and if not possible, I would like to reapply for the BTC/TOR sig campaign.

Can i get a response to this request?

And will you have a spreadsheet for this campaign so we can check our enrollment, as well? Thanks!

Good luck!

PS: Can you please keep this thread clean; considering it's self-moderated... How about deleting all the beggars' posts, please. Thanks!

First of all, you did the right thing by asking here in these forums.

Second, run. run. RUN from this "opportunity". Anytime you have a site that was created recently that has misinformation, or a lack of information on it, it was done unprofessionally, and obviously launched before any kind of QA was done on it. This screams "scam"; it was enough for YOU to question it.

Always go with your gut. Offers that are "too good to be true" generally are, especially when it comes to online transactions.

If you really are considering this, don't dismiss the option of using an escrow. There are many here on the forums that are extremely reputable. If he doesn't even entertain the thought of using an escrow, walk away from the deal. Sorry, man, but anyone that won't consider an escrow for 50% of 100BTC ($91,145 at the time of this post) is a fucking criminal in my book. There's a reason why escrows are STILL widely used to this day. Until you can comfortably engage the seller in a trusting relationship after several deals, you shouldn't even think about the possibility of not employing an escrow service.

If it was THESE forums that the user reached out to you on, check his reputation here. Do a search for his name. If there aren't any results, my best advice is to tell you to walk away.

Either way, this forum can be your biggest asset, and be weary of the following masses of sig spammers that are going to tell you that he's a scammer and to walk away, or relay the same repetitive information over and over again lol

Always follow your gut, but just know this, moving forward: it is extremely simple to get fucked in cryptocurrency. Transactions are pretty much final, and although you may be protected by your fiat currency institution (bank or credit card company), once he uses that currency to buy bitcoins, you're fucked.

Takeaway from this post? If you're seriously considering this deal, then seriously consider using an escrow service, and kill the deal immediately if he won't entertain the thought of it. The minuscule (or non-existent) fees of the escrows are NOTHING compared to the risk of getting royally fucked.

I believe the Big 3 are all still active, but that post may be a bit outdated. @Zazarb is another extremely reputable escrow here on the forums, along with the Big 3:

In order to stake a new Bitcoin address, I think you have to sign a message with the former address which you've previously sent.
