381  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 when? on: July 22, 2014, 05:32:36 PM
Some people are predicting 5k by the end of this year based on a book written by a doctor I don't know whether they doctor/writer has evidence or some sort of theory which is plausible or not because I have not read the book.
382  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why do escrows offer no fees? on: July 22, 2014, 05:30:26 PM
so the summary is:

they charge for the transaction fee but nothing else. this is normally charged by the seller.

some members of the forum do offer completely free escrow services which offer people to tip.
383  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many posts do you make per hour you are logged in ? on: July 22, 2014, 05:28:09 PM
I get into discussion a lot about things in the same thread with around 1-2 other people which involve a lot of messages being sent every few minutes I think that's one of the reasons why is so high.
384  Other / Off-topic / Re: I got an email from the FBI!!! on: July 22, 2014, 05:25:13 PM
What a pathetic attempt. if anyone does fall for this they don't deserve to be allowed any where near a computer.
385  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: SELLING BITCOINTALK ACCOUNTS on: July 22, 2014, 03:42:02 PM
I believe someone with a bought full member account just scammed me $600 Paypal. I'm so sad at the moment. Stop this movement!

What's the username of this information? You should fill in a scam accusation against the user (if you haven't already)
386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin via SMS? on: July 22, 2014, 03:36:37 PM
I think this would actually be a great service for those who find it hard to get a hold of btc or just don't trust exchnages, though the fees probably would be ridic.

It would not be good as the fees would be too much for anyone to purchase therefore a poor business plan its been tried before and has failed every single time within the first few weeks.
387  Economy / Digital goods / Re: buying discounted amazon gift card on: July 22, 2014, 12:47:49 AM
I see that you are new that means anyone dealing with you should use escrow. but are you looking for physical gift cards or just the code? as physical ones will cost a little extra.
388  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Browser You Use on: July 21, 2014, 11:36:12 PM
for a serious job ?

links (text only) BSD Group

Browser in IN-line mode Wink

That's similar to lynx but has a menu which you can access right?
389  Other / Meta / Re: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules - Work in progress on: July 21, 2014, 09:20:43 PM
there could be some rules about PM's also, to restrict some folks to just send PM's with begging content.

What do you mean? begging in pm is not allowed either. so this thread is a discussion thread at the moment and when we can confirm all the rules then you'll post again and lock the topic and have it as a sticky?
390  Other / Off-topic / Re: What System You Use on: July 21, 2014, 09:06:33 PM
I'm still using windows xp.
because : My computer is a Pentium 4 and 1 GB RAM
so I think Windows XP is better  Grin
possible after windows XP I would use windows 7

I loved xp and still have it on one of my older computers was my favorite microsoft operating system.

yes windows XP mostly in old PC
I am often envious of my friend in using windows 7 and also because the changing times
maybe later when I've bought a new PC, I use windows 7  Smiley

If you have a machine which has more than 4GB then it's time to move on from XP and that's one of the reasons I did move onto Linux. I do miss XP sometimes though and I'm not 100% sure why windows 7 is much easier to use than XP as you don't need to manually add hardware etc.

3069 / ((3*24) + 7) = 38.8481012658 ( If only, lol )

Total time logged in: 40 days, 18 hours and 31 minutes.

Voted 4-7 posts per hour.

That's not right. Yours is 3069 / ((40*24) + 18) = 3.1
392  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many posts do you make per hour you are logged in ? on: July 21, 2014, 08:51:19 PM
1250 / ((3*24) + 7) = 15.8  Shocked

I thought it would of been more than that considering I haven't been online that much (3 days). BUt registered since 2013 and I would of thought I would of been on longer than 3 days...
393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Only 467 Nodes in Network? on: July 21, 2014, 08:21:37 PM
There are thousands of Bitcoin nodes I was going to setup one up my self then realized it wouldn't make much of a difference with the amount which are already set up.

Can't disagree more. One more node is a bit more decentralization of the Bitcoin network.
One more is always a difference.

I guess I didn't look at it that way thanks for opening up my eyes! I'll look into it again as I did quite a bit of research a while back on it and now all of that is lost so I'll have to look at it again. (was looking to host multiple nodes on vps)
394  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Someone sent me 0.0136 free? on: July 21, 2014, 08:15:57 PM
Im not sure who but someone sent me 0.0136btc over the weekend, im not complaining

I accidentally sent you the coins. Please PM me for an address to return them. Thanks. Tongue

Can't tell if you're serious.

Probably not serious to me honest. if you want ask him to prove that he owns the address.
395  Other / Meta / Re: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules - Work in progress on: July 21, 2014, 08:11:52 PM
Nice updated list! But isn't there a rule that you must remove a bump after someone has posted?
396  Other / Off-topic / Re: Techcrunch: Snowden Calls On Developers To Champion Privacy By Design on: July 21, 2014, 07:56:47 PM
Brilliant minds coming together to form even better & more secure systems. Sounds good to me.
397  Other / Off-topic / Re: Blackphone - are you buying one? on: July 21, 2014, 07:54:44 PM
Seems like a cool idea, but the part that I don't get is:  Don't you basically forfeit all these privacy measures the moment you connect it using one of the major wireless carriers (i.e. ATT, Sprint, T-Mobile)?

Yes. Unless they have some sort of way to bypass that but I can't imagine they have and if they did have networks would probably blacklist the device.
398  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-07-21] Third largest Private Sector Bank of India is tweeting Bitcoin on: July 21, 2014, 07:48:59 PM
Wow that's a suprise that means they are Bitcoin friendly which is very unusual for a bank. Pitty it's a bank only for India though.
399  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [ANN] CDKeyspot | Buy your games now! | Cheaper than cheapest! on: July 21, 2014, 07:47:18 PM
I don't know how you are selling Minecraft gift codes that low! That's an amazing price. I think I'll wait to hear off some reputable members from this site before I try it though.
