381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Prophet of Crypto says BCH XRP TRX XVG TO SOAR on: December 28, 2017, 05:09:36 AM
I agree with most of these forecasts especially Verge and Ripple. Verge has grown a lot over the past month and seems to be an upcoming upgraded version of DeepOnion minus all the scam accusations. Ripple is still standing tall proving that circulating supply isn't really an influence on the price.

With BCH, it may soar in the coming month but being run by a bunch of criminals, it will lose out on the longer run with the mining power being controlled and wouldn't be an ideal investment.
382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is Bankless casino possible? on: December 28, 2017, 04:41:31 AM
While traditional bank/investors works, I was wondering what you guys/gals think of bank less casino.  This can be combined well with offer walls as well, but than people probably shouldn't be able to deposit, only withdraw.
So say someone deposits a buck worth of crypto or earns a buck with videos/surveys etc, they can convert it to 100 000 points and gamble against the bank which is made up of points, if they want to sell, they have to put it up for sale through cashout, and the next person who needs points would buy it from them.  If no one wants to sell, than site could sell at that price, but people can't sell to the site.

So it's like a trade order system but the order is locked at 1 usd=100,000 points, and you can only buy from bank.  Edge less or positive edge games could be explored, also coin flips between people or even difficult arcade style games where you pay to play a round and what you earn before you die is yours, difficulty can be adjusted to make it close to 50% gambling, but if some are really good they can earn a little more.  Or anything else really.

To pay for the site and potentially profit, some kind of cashout fee or percent needs to happen.  So say you buy points and immediately sell them to someone else for the same locked price, you would get 98 cents instead of a dollar, or like 2$ bucks and min 20$ cashout, depending if it's micro stakes or normal.

Anyhow thanks for reading this nonsense, What do you think, is this possible?

My answer is maybe, but it would probably cost a lot of money to set everything up, running a reward site alone is not cheap, running a game site with lots of traffic on it's own is not cheap.

The whole point of running a casino with a big bankroll is to make profit on the house edge, coming from the classic words 'The house always wins'. Gamblers come in and try their luck and may win or lose but the house is always the ultimate winner.

Although your idea could work, it isn't exactly feasible as just offer walls combined with gambling just won't cut it for enough profits and there is always a chance that a random lucker could hit big numbers while there would be no bankroll to pay his win.
383  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best time to day trade? How to create a trading schedule in a 24/7 crypto market on: December 28, 2017, 04:14:55 AM
What are the best times to day trade crypto?

The best times for carrying day trade is throughout the day. Have a head up analysing prices at periodic intervals and choose the right time to jump in and out with your money. There is no time particular time window here like forex trading, you just need to make it work.

how do I develop a schedule around a 24 hour market place?

Try understanding the market trends everyday by analysing prices based on time of the day and you'll be able to figure out the rises and dips throughout the day. Base your schedule on the time you think you'll be able to derive most profit.
384  Economy / Economics / Re: 2017 Was Bitcoin's Year. 2018 Will Be ....... on: December 28, 2017, 03:41:10 AM
Talking about percentage growth alone, there are at least over 10 altcoins which showed a higher growth rate, edging out Bitcoin by a long margin. Indeed going from $1k to $20k is pretty significant but even alts like ETH went from a single digit figure to nearly $500 which is big. So I'm calling 2018 to be the year of altcoins which will outgrow the likes of Bitcoin.
385  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin retains its crown as crypto king — but issues still hang over the crypto on: December 27, 2017, 07:08:32 AM
Bitcoin crashed more than 25% from Wednesday's all-time high of $7,721 to a low of $5,617 on Sunday, according to data from CoinDesk.

You're either missing a '1' at the ten thousands place or just behind in time by 6 months. Prices are fluctuating around five digit mark and your stats are nowhere near to the actual happenings in the market. I suggest you double check before posting.

Over the weekend, bitcoin appeared to give up market share to bitcoin cash, a clone coin created to improve bitcoin's slower transaction speeds

A hard forked coin run by criminals, nothing more. While its glory is short lived due to the fact that they control the majority of the mining power, anyone silly enough in making a switch to Bitcoin cash will regret their decision sooner or later.  Roll Eyes
386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Q for Bitcoin gamblers. Are you affected by high transaction fees? on: December 27, 2017, 03:38:31 AM
Outrageous transaction fees throughout this month has definitely affected almost all gamblers. Firstly, sportbooks and casinos are charging a little too much for withdrawals with higher fees and smaller cashouts are almost impossible. Secondly, even is the fees is lowered, the withdrawal transaction is taking upto weeks to get a confirmation on the network which is a lot of time being wasted.
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wayback machine on: December 27, 2017, 03:17:34 AM
At one point, I'm pretty sure many said that altcoins will never last and light Bitcoin would be hailed as the true cryptocurrency. Today, we're here looking at over hundreds of altcoins holding their own in the market. Many of these were called out to be scams amounting to nothing, like XRP for the circulating supply, ETH for the genesis premine and so on but these haven't stopped them from reaching the top 5 in market cap.
388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin god on: December 27, 2017, 02:54:32 AM
Another useless fork with no real intention behind it, just premine and insta-sell no brainer from the devs and anyone falling for this by buying in will get what they deserve, a big L. Still don't understand why people are crazy about forks when they have no set goals in mind and attempt to create money out of thin air and this isn't the first time this is happening
389  Economy / Economics / Re: Do crypto exchange rates matter? on: December 27, 2017, 02:41:10 AM
Exchange rates does matter a lot especially when Bitcoin prices fluctuate between thousands of dollars on an everyday basis. To obtain the highest profit, the buy-in should be timed such that Bitcoin prices could soar but not fall. At this point, profit is guaranteed even if you're exchanging it for something like XRP given that it is doing fairly well.

In India, the exchange prices are messed up at times with a difference of over $1000 between buy and sell margins and this is on one of the most famous exchanges in the country. So yeah, exchange rates do matter a lot.
390  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading analysis, is it real or speculation. on: December 27, 2017, 02:01:30 AM
Predicting an exact price at a particular point of time is what speculators and they base this on various factors influencing the price of Bitcoin. Of course they cannot be right all the time but most of the times they end up speculating very close to the actual price.

Instead of relying on trade signals from analysts, since you told us you've already played around with small amounts, begin making the calls by yourself. This will not only give you invaluable experience but also a sense of responsibility of your own money.
391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What was your worst mistake in Gambling? on: December 26, 2017, 12:43:45 PM
Everyone would've been there as a gambler so yeah, it was pushing for more profit even after reaching a set goal in mind and eventually losing all of my balance in the process. It gets hard to quit once the money starts rolling in, and every bet victory urges me to push for higher profit. Ultimately, the house always wins unless I cashout which is almost never the case.
392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren Buffett ! on: December 26, 2017, 10:23:25 AM
Based on his words from a few months back, he seems to be one of the many who had a chance to buy-in a long time back but didn't go through with it due to lack of belief in Bitcoin. Further, as prices continued to soar, he took it up to himself to continue spreading the 'bubble' plague. I do not believe he has any investments in cryptocurrencies because if he did, he wouldn't be calling it out while reaping profits.
393  Economy / Economics / Re: Fake UFO invasion to impact the economy on: December 26, 2017, 08:52:58 AM
Had this in the back of my head that the US could be making up all the so called UFO and alien stories but I don't see it making an impact on the economy by any means. If an actual extra terrestrial attack happened, then the world economy would be shook from its roots, causing utter chaos of what we believed years ago turning into reality.
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could you recommend two good altcoins? on: December 26, 2017, 08:37:53 AM
I am considering buy two altcoins, can anyone give some recommendation? I have about $1000 to invest in altcoin.

XRB and XVG would be my picks for you as both coins have shown decent developments recently and intend on going into a strong 2018 with prices making a big surge.

I recommend to you to invest on DeepOnion, because we are in the airdrop period for 16 weeks more.

They you will give you Onions every week based on your holding.

It's 5% fast income every week.

And what makes you think prices will go up with more rounds of airdrop? It's the other way around.
The so called 'anonymous' devs of this project have often staked big amounts, generating coins from thin air.
395  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Turning $50,000 into 1M in 365 days- Buy and Hold possible? on: December 25, 2017, 09:11:06 AM
Inspired by HR's thread ($10,000 into 1M):
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1936239.0

Looking for input from experienced traders regarding my coin picks and their fundamentals to see if a buy and hold (with adjustments but not day trading) will be possible to 20x the initial investment of $50,000 ideally within a year. I would like to aim for $350,000, and a maximum of 1,000,000.

Snapshot of portfolio based on today's pricing:
Bitcoin (BTC): 42%
Ethereum (ETH): 22%
Ripple (XRP): 14%
Iota (MIOTA): 10%
Basic Attention Token (BAT): 7%
NEO (NEO): 1%

I don't believe this current portfolio will be able to reach 20X due to majority being established coins that have already moved considerably. Last month's ROI was approx 22%.

I'd like to adjust my future portfolio for the next month to look like:

BTC: 15%
ETH: 20%
XRP: 20%
IOTA: 20%
BAT: 5%
____: 5%
____: 5%
____: 5%
____: 2%
____: 2%
____: 1%

Ideally I'd like to change either my BTC or ETH holdings into the next big project, similar to how HR changed his LTC into ADA, but can't decide for now.
For the speculative ones, I'm aiming for coins with <50M market cap with good fundamentals.

I'd hopefully update this every week, for those whose advice I take and profit from I'd plan on giving back in some form as I reach milestones (100k, 200k, etc). Of course if it all goes south you'd just have to accept my gratitude Wink

Any suggestions/constructive criticism is welcome!

If you're talking about holding the above listed throughout 2018 and then evaluating your assets at the end of the year, I doubt you would reach 1M while 350k is entirely possible. I base my words off observations from the current year when there were at least 50 altcoins which grew at a higher rate than Bitcoin did and by having 42% invested in Bitcoin seems like you're straining your chances at going big.
396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happens to altcoin if bitcoin has run out on: December 25, 2017, 06:07:12 AM
Bitcoin has a max cap of 21 million coins. We're now at around 17 million in circulating supply and as we go on, miner reward per block decreases while difficulty increases, both exponentially. It is already priced at over five digit per coin so once the maximum supply is hit, expect prices to be off the charts as we all know how scarce it would be by then.

Altcoins have nothing to do with this, except that they will give Bitcoin a run for its money with respect to market cap and per coin prices as likes of ETH, IOTA, XRP etc are looking at a bright future.
397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CS:GO Predictions on: December 22, 2017, 05:40:00 PM
Been following the CSGO pro scene closely from 3~ years now and I can tell you one thing, all tier 2-3 tournament matches are very hard to predict because of how much the competitive scene has grown. Will have an eye on your predictions and outcomes and hope to see you maintain that flawless win rate, good luck!
398  Economy / Speculation / Re: That's one hell of a correction on: December 22, 2017, 03:35:21 PM
More than just a mere correction, this is a more of a bloodbath for the entire cryptocurrency market, not only Bitcoin. It was even down to 10k at a point, a few hours ago but seems to be recovering steadily but only to hover around the 13k mark. With the holiday season in progress, cashouts are pretty common and hence the supply is overshadowed compared to the actual demand, causing a crash.
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin crash? on: December 22, 2017, 08:45:09 AM
Another golden window of opportunity to invest into the altcoin market. With Bitcoin down about 25% from its all time high, almost all altcoins are taking a hit too. Whales seem to pulling out some big amounts to enjoy Christmas and new year which is apparently causing the drop and not to mention the panic sellers joining the tune. Expect Bitcoin to hover around 15k and make a sharp early next year while altcoins will have even bigger surges.
