Can you try this firmware? Only the second board is having issues. Usually related to the CorePerf Mode = 75; this changes some of the settings on the board.

Marshall

They sent me a firmware and after applying firmware, machine does not show up on network. Cannot reset it either. Almost feels like they did it on purpose. Worst experience of my life buying a product!
382  Economy / Speculation / Re: Forget China, India will be next on: May 17, 2014, 09:44:58 PM
I have been to India. The caste system would never allow bit coin to thrive. The mere thought of the lower classes having wealth not controlled by the upper echelon would be unpalatable.

That's an untrue statement. India is an extraordinarily complex country with so many types of people living and it is not controlled by one type of people. The upper class does not mean wealthy in Indian caste system AFAIK. They have some weird religion based caste system.

I don't think Bitcoin will go main stream there simply because most people are not that tech savvy as Chinese and still rely on cash to do trade at low level. The government has incredibly tight capital controls and banks are also tightly regulated.

Any type of Bitcoin craze in India would be very good news for BTC.
383  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC drop to next level coming...bail the F out now! on: May 17, 2014, 10:13:57 AM

This is a stupid chart. There are reasons for the surge such as China wetting its beak and so on which are responsible for previous peaks. However, any type of bull run we could anticipate such a surge in price but whether such a bull run will occur is not guaranteed just because of a dumb chart showing the past trend.
384  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin price is stagnating at 430-460$ price? on: May 17, 2014, 02:33:16 AM
I would like to add: Fools look at the price. Traders look at volume along with various other stats.
385  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin price is stagnating at 430-460$ price? on: May 17, 2014, 02:32:21 AM
It is not stagnating though it does look like that to morons.

It has been pulling itself out of bear into a bull mode. Take a look at the charts/indicators and you will see it move daily.
386  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC drop to next level coming...bail the F out now! on: May 17, 2014, 02:25:00 AM
Right now its not going anywhere but it has made some headway in the UP direction. Its trying to get into positive territory but then again these days we don't have any major news so nothing is tight at this time at all.

No, but I need levels!  Exact levels of up or down-ness!

If it goes down, we are looking at a lazy listing down into $300. I don't think there will be a major drop and end up in $200 at all.

Thank you lord that the Chinese squirrels are out of the game.
388  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here we go on: May 16, 2014, 02:24:01 PM
I hope expert was right with his analysis. According to this next rally will rise the price up to over $5k :-)
I think that indeed this is possible and what else I can say it is needed to +++ the value of the Bitcoin. As current wall situation is getting me realy bored :-)

If there is a rally, it will tear the $1000 mark and then $5000 will not seem so far away.

As long as we don't have another Mt. Gox kind of thieving crap and Chinese bitches staying out, it may gradually get into the bull mode.

I have a refund pending which they confirmed to offer me 3 weeks ago. I sent them an email couple days back asking for status but no response yet. Can you guys give info about when your refund was confirmed by them and how long since then it has been?

BTW, I have seen comment or two about some people actually getting their refund.

@DustyRah,

Has it dropped to next level yet? If not, when?

I'm earnestly asking, because it has NOT dropped to next level or any level. What do you mean by "next level"? You mean, down to $300?

Yes, at the time of posting it was significantly bottom heavy and was heading into the 3XX level. Now it has been trying to pull its ass out of the rut for the past couple weeks but still is a little bottom heavy so its staying where it is until time it can get out of this rut.

Any buyers, I would suggest wait till a proper bull momentum builds, else any tiny bad news will drop it into the 3xx level because of its bottom being so heavy.
392  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC drop to next level coming...bail the F out now! on: May 15, 2014, 05:46:03 PM
... Well, let's hope that we don't another exchange collapse similar to MtGox this year, cuz this would "really" make our day !!!

Anyhow, let's hope for the best for everyone.

Cheers
Heider

Cryptsy is a total mess, google: "Cryptsy negative balance".
Now they are also building USD markets.
Prepare for implosion and BTC with it.

Its related to blockchain updates etc and there is nothing indicating that Cryptsy is in trouble like Mt. Gox.

Positive CCI and divergence finally...

MACD, Exp still bottom heavy...
394  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC downtrend running out of steam? on: May 14, 2014, 11:21:34 PM
It still remains bottom heavy. In fact, its upside that is unable to sustain any run at all.
395  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra announces its first ASIC - Hash-Rate greater than 500 GH/s on: May 14, 2014, 11:19:06 PM
I am so boared with the whole Cointerra- Terramine Hosting ( it is the same CEO ).

I am waiting for refund now over 5 months even if I made a storno and deleted my order before the money arrived at their banc account.

They are holding me online since 4 months. No refund moral.

I paid with Fiat and I although gave them the possibiltie to pay in BTC.

Heard nothing anymore since two weeks.

Exhausting and I think I take an american lawyer for this issue.

Anybody such bad experiences with them too?

greetings

I'm in the same boat, waiting since Feb and still no reply.

Getting worried they may disappear over night before they refund their customers.

That sounds very scary. Some others reported here that they did get their refund.
396  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra announces its first ASIC - Hash-Rate greater than 500 GH/s on: May 13, 2014, 05:09:49 AM
LOL did you guys see the news from cointerra.

They are now offering 1-2 year mining contracts.  12 month contract for 2TH cost $8000, which is 0.009 btc/gh (8000/440/2000).  That's 30% more expensive than cex.io (already overpriced), only lasts 12 months, and doesnt have a market to be easily traded like cex.

What a joke, those guys should just fold shop. Gig is up.

Hey newguy

the 'gig' may not be quite so 'up' as there was something missing from your comparison.

cex.io doesn't just charge to buy the gh's.. they ALSO charge per month to host them for you (you have to pay extra for hosting, power, repairs, maintenance etc) and you neglected to mention this 'monthly' charge in your comparison.

cex.io's price doesn't include hosting (which is a major part of the cost if you're going to operate long-term and not just trade it).    cointerra's price was an all inclusive price including hosting for either 12 or 24 months whereas cex.io charges extra each month for the hosting (see  https://cex.io/maintenance  )

re-running your example again with 24 months to show the true (long-term) costs of bitcoin mining...

cex.io, 2 TH/s, buy price is 0.007 btc ($3.08 at today's btc price of $440) plus 24 months of hosting (currently $0.26/gh) = $9.32/gh (total paid for 24 month contract is $18,640)
cointerra 2 TH/s, buy price for 24 months - all inclusive of hosting - is $11,999 (a big saving over cex.io).  even if it was only for 12 months, cointerra is still cheaper than cex.io

but why stop at 2 TH/s...   we should try the same math for 100 TH/s (cointerra gives volume discounts, whereas cex.io being a 'true market' of buyers and sellers would mean the price goes up the more you buy and you'd be severely penalised for buying a larger amount)

cex.io, $308K to buy the 100 TH (in reality it'd cost much more to buy it this way), plus $26k per month in hosting for 24 months ($624k) = total of $932K (just shy of $1m!)
whereas cointerra's 100 TH hosted for 24 months is less than half the price at $450k (well under $0.5m!)

You can similarly compare the hosted prices of other cloud hashing companies like nimbusmining.com (butterflylabs) who charges $20/gh... or cloudhashing ($8-9/gh) compared to cex.io's $9.32 and cointerra's $6/gh (for 2 TH 24 mnth) or $4.5/gh (for 100 TH 24 mnth)

You idiot, I paid $6000 for a crappy miner which broke just 3 weeks into mining and lost 2 weeks of mining. Then again after 10 days its broke again. Not to mention I lost 20% of hashing power as well with no compensation of any kind.

Do you really think anyone cares what you have to say after they have played with people's hard earned money?
397  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction: Breaking $500 within 24 hours on: May 12, 2014, 01:17:22 AM

the price supposed to go down since I want to buy my btc back ....

Its bottom heavy, you will get it to buy back your BTC ~
398  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction: Breaking $500 within 24 hours on: May 11, 2014, 08:03:26 PM
um no? lol nothing here that I wrote that contradicts anything I said

You clearly said you are an idiot and that anything you say should be treated as such. Then you go on to say almost anything which seems clever so there you go, you just contradicted yourself.

Peace be with the morons~
399  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC drop to next level coming...bail the F out now! on: May 11, 2014, 01:19:53 PM
Its trying its best to get out of the downtrend but its still bottom heavy and that's keeping it tied down.

Really need some major good news to get it over the hill else we are all on a slow boat to Bangkok...

I hope the Chinese commies are out as soon as possible so the rest of the world can get it on with BTC~
