China is not communist. They are totalitarian capitalist and their most important priority is money. Also, they don't have to show power to the Chinese people, the Chinese people are quite clear about it. They are very well planned and sharp and they will cut off Bitcoin if they are not able to control it. They allow ANYTHING as long as it is controlled by them.

I think the price will drop below the 2xxx mark easily. There are a LOT of people who would be profitable even at that level so they will dump when it starts to go down more. Panic selling is already under way. To be honest, since traders are involved, there would be  no profits without the ups and downs. In the long run, even those who bought at $5000 mark will profit anyway.

As for Chinese exchanges, I hope they all close down permanently and the Chinese are out of this game. They cause a lot of uncertainty and rules there change on a daily basis and in an unpredictable manner since their process is not transparent.

Anyone in tune with the news would have dumped Bitcoin back in the 4xxx levels in a bid to book profits and buy back cheap later. HODLers will benefit in the long run anyway so its a win-win situation for both traders and HODLers.

Sooner or later Bitcoin will be $10,000 and people who don't buy when it goes below the 3xxx mark will be regretting it.

$5,00,000 by end of 2020: This would mean the BTC capital would go from like $76 billion to $8 trillion. So SOMEONE out there would have to invest hundreds of billions of dollars into Bitcoin.

That kind of capital would supersede some countries entire wealth. But yeah, the $500000 a bitcoin is coming though just not sure when.

Bear market?? We have had an incredible rise in price over the last few months so I am not sure we are in a bear market.

If you mean the dip we had due to China banning ICO, its all part of the normal ups and downs and the overall trend for BTC is UP.

Litecoin has gone to $64 all the way from $5. Segwit helped it happen. Will things like support for lightning network significantly assist Bitcoin's price?

Well, some is buying because it has gone up even higher now. The actual company probably finds opportunities to unload at regular intervals and book their profits. They are the ones who probably have the kind of volume to bring the price crashing down on regular basis.

On their website, it states that they have been mining for 688 days. However, the domain name micro-btc.com itself was registered only last year in August. It has no address/phone number on the site and looks like a total scam on what they are promising to offer.

Does anyone know why Ripple (XRP) had a good rise today? Not following why it is listed on Bitstamp along with Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ether.

They don't but they may start to in a very big way if it comes around 50% of BTC price.

Anyone know what has raised the price of BCH up by 70% today to go over $500 today? Is it the HODLers making supply limited? Is it the Chinese?

There are massive number of HODLERs at this time which is making Bitcoin very bullish when it comes to new investments. This tradition of HODLERs will sour sooner or later since the commercial traders are always looking for new waves to make daily ends meet.

Bitcoin may just go touch $10,000 by end of this year for all we know or it may crap itself to below $2000. The rise has been tremendous and people will start to get concerned about a pull back and become conservative as far as new investments into the coin go.

Take profits regularly and everything is nice and fine~

We don't know when, it could be sooner or later but it WILL get to $100000 considering the rising difficulty and overall limited supply.

No one knows when correction may happen but the fact of the matter is the world has taken notice of Bitcoin in a big way. It only takes a little investment from each of the businesses around the world to shoot the price of Bitcoin into tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands.

Corrections don't matter when in the long term, an asset can MULTIPLY itself.

Are you starting to feel like you should have bought instead of talking nonsense? If you got the ca$h, there has been no time other than the last few years to have dumped it into BTC and there will be no time like the next FOREVER To dump into BTC cause this will always rise up.

Or keep it in Wells Fargo, Chase or whatever else bank you got and get charged that monthly fee.

No kidding, when big boys like Fidelity and Charles Schwab start tracking the COIN, its game over for the little drips.

Consider this: Chips gets faster each year, miners get faster and old miners get dumped and new ones come around difficulty rises and every few years the reward halves.

Just that is good enough reason to understand that the price will rise FOREVER! The ups and downs will be so unpredictable that the best way people will see making it will be taking profits at regular intervals and getting back into the game again to make some more!
