261  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is now officially illegal on: December 15, 2014, 01:08:45 AM
Let's be honest here...
http://www.coindesk.com/localbitcoins-users-criminal-charges-florida/
Criminal charges for selling BTC on localbitcoins??? This guy might face a felony for crying out loud...

Now localbitcoins is shutting down in Germany due to "regulatory issues" coming...

Exchanges are going to start getting banged out for money too now...
BTC Trading Corp was operating a trading business without a license. This was a lengthy investigation examined of BTC Trading Corp’s two subsidiaries, BTC Co and Litecoin Global Exchange, they calculated 426,986 illegal trades from 10,614 registered accounts. The owner must now pay $60,000!

Do you really think this will be the only case ever??? or Plenty more to come???

It is illegal to move large amounts of money as a business without license. Its similar to currency exchange which is illegal without a license. This does not affect transactions between individuals as long as the transaction is reported in your taxes etc.

This in no way affects the price of Bitcoin and Bitcoin will only continue to rise in value over the years due to limited supply and growing adoption.
262  Economy / Speculation / Re: but but.. why moon ? on: December 15, 2014, 01:04:20 AM
I was shorting on fewcoins advise.
Why are we going up Cry ? Should I wait or buy back at a loss ?

Just wait and you will get your cut. Patience is very important when trading.
263  Economy / Speculation / Re: Imagine the pop when Amazon finally relents... on: December 15, 2014, 01:02:37 AM
The reason retailers like Bitcoin is because they can avoid fraud. Bitcoin has an advantage vs credit card in that there cannot be a chargeback.

Merchants benefit quite a bit from this and will prefer to receive funds in Bitcoin which they dump immediately to FIAT anyways. We can expect various other retailers to start accepting Bitcoin.
264  Economy / Speculation / Difficulty dropping on: December 15, 2014, 01:00:17 AM
Difficulty seems to be dropping as the low price of Bitcoin has cut into mining profits. This may help to stabilize Bitcoin price.

This phenomenon helps miners who have bought into yearly contracts and are HODLERS as they will receive more Bitcoins which they expect to hold long term anyways.
265  Economy / Speculation / Re: OVER $18 MILLION DOLLARS OUT OF WALLETS IN ONE MONTH!!! on: December 08, 2014, 01:02:00 AM
I don't... understand... what your point is.

HIs point is that he is a moron and has no life other than to come here and keep posting anything he can to get people to sell. That will be all!
266  Economy / Speculation / Re: So my employee had this on my desk this morning... on: December 08, 2014, 12:54:29 AM
I don't believe falllling/fewcoins has any employees.

You don't need to believe anything, you've probably only seen a few thousand dollars in your life... I own two businesses that accept bitcoin, we dump everything right to fiat now, we used to hold. The jig is up but you permabulls won't see it even after it hits you like a brick!

Why do you continue to spread your hate for Bitcoin? If you hate it that much, isn't it easier for you to just walk away?

Walk away from what? I am involved in the economy daily... probably way more than the last 100 posters who replied to my posts

What exactly is your point? You want everyone to sell their Bitcoins so you can buy them cheaper? Why not sell off your Bitcoins and never visit this forum again?
267  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra announces its first ASIC - Hash-Rate greater than 500 GH/s on: November 28, 2014, 11:15:28 PM
they have a class action lawsuit against them so I would be very cautious about buying anything or putting any money into this company.

I received an email from them telling me that there would soon be an update on the class action lawsuit.

Could you post that email here?
268  Economy / Speculation / Re: This graph says you should get in now on: November 17, 2014, 01:36:28 PM
He is right. After nearly 10 months we are in positive territory completely now. CCI, MACD, divergence as well as EXP is positive. Learn about these indicators and check their history over a period of a year and you will realize what OP is trying to say.

269  Economy / Speculation / Re: what happened, guys? on: November 13, 2014, 03:43:02 AM
There is a lot of buzz on Chinese forums that Russia reduced fines for Bitcoin involvement and in fact Russia is opening up to Bitcoin. The Chinese are crazed at this time and buying in big time as they did last year around the same time.
270  Economy / Speculation / Re: Oh, God, LakeBTC is $435 now! Higher than bitstamp $8! on: November 13, 2014, 03:35:54 AM
Are you kidding? This is just the beginning...put on a fresh pair of knickers and enjoy the ride~
271  Economy / Speculation / Re: $400 has been hit way too quick, people will get burned buying here on: November 12, 2014, 07:39:33 PM
It has pulled out from under and CCI, MACD and Divergence are all positive now after a very very long time. Once EXP is out to positive territory, anyone looking at charts is going to think twice about going short.

This is not a joke, we are getting out to the postive side completely.
272  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it possible that 1 BTC be worth $2,000 by the end of 2015? on: November 11, 2014, 11:54:54 PM
Price seem to go up again a little.
Seem like that when christmas comes price might go to 500-600$ but 2k in next year hard.

But if somebody or someone have huge influence and bots price can go even higher.

The price will go up long enough for loaded traders to dump their load and ca$h out!
273  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has trading ruined the day for HODLERS? on: November 11, 2014, 11:52:22 PM
The original post is absurd. Traders can not take anything from hodlers.

Traders have created incredible uncertainty and volatility, causing the overall value of Bitcoin to stay low. Spooked hodlers are bailing out is why the price keeps creeping downwards.

If you were Bill Gates or Sir Branson, how much money would you get in BTC?

I'd probably send $40 million over to Bitstamp  Cool

That'll get you around 111,100BTC at today's rate

Don't know about Gatesy but think Brando already picked up and currently bagholding  Grin

Bill Gates is already at the stage where he doesnt give a fuck about money (as in getting more of it)  so I doubt he's going to be here watching to see the highs and lows but he's said favourable things about the tech model and sir Richard Branson as a billionaire  doesn't need the money either but he is happily accepting them for his  space tour flights   and probably even hodling them since he would have no need to cash out into fiat anytime soon  lol

that's an interesting discussion but did you know that this year alone there were more new billionaires than ever before?

I'd bet the first thought of many new billionaires is: "now I must make sure to remain billionaire" which means they are going to buy some bitcoins and that's a cold hard proven theory!

Branson is worth around 5 billion I think but he owns a lot of stuff that generates revenue every year

I was very happily surprised to see him getting into Bitcoin in its relative infancy but he obviously sees the potential in it

He's right more often than he's wrong and he didn't get 5 billion by being dumb

Branson does not care about Bitcoin or believe in it at all. They immediately swap Bitcoin into fiat at Virgin. They do accept Bitcoin because that would allow their customers to pay without audit and its a publicity stunt.
Branson did not make his billions investing in speculative stuff. He has a freakin spaceship and there is nothing speculative about that kind of business.

If there is nothing speculative in spaceflight, then why did his spaceship crash last week?

It is insured and they have proper plans in place for such events! He already has a airline, he did not just decide to do something with no clear plan like most on this forum praying to get rich quick.

Though it has positive divergence and heading in the right direction, it still has negative MACD and EXP. More than going up like a rocket, it needs steady uptick on daily basis to get out to positive MACD and EXP growth and then we are off to the positive side completely. A minimum of two weeks to get on positive side but even if it takes 2 months a steady rise is better than a cranky swing low sweet chariot trend.

277  Economy / Speculation / Re: So "what if", on Nov 30th... on: November 08, 2014, 02:50:45 AM
EURCHF is right above the 1.20 floor set by Swiss National Bank. Right now is great time to buy into EURCHF because the SNB will not allow it to go below 1.20. A quick look at the order books shows 90% buy on it.
278  Economy / Speculation / Has trading ruined the day for HODLERS? on: November 08, 2014, 02:38:34 AM
Clearly traders are taking out a chunk whenever possible out of Bitcoin's rise in price. Here is some news about bots trading its pants off automatically:

http://www.coindesk.com/stopcoin-turns-coinbase-account-automated-trading-bot/

Given the dramatic rise in price end of last year, traders rolled into the game and have been chopping off peaks as soon as they can, keeping the HODLERS from making any headway!

Hopefully the economic recovery may draw traders away and leave Bitcoin to a steady rise.
279  Economy / Speculation / Re: Japan is new China? on: November 02, 2014, 04:42:32 PM
The Bank of Japan just announced QE. Yet another reason for the existence of Bitcoin.

Huge adoption on November in Japan:

1. Kraken Launches in Japan
2. GMO-PG Enables 48000 Merchants Using Bitcoin as Payment Option
3. BitFlyer Rises $236000
4. Rakuten Accepts Bitcoin
After reading this post from wall observer, I've got an idea: The 2013 bubble was because of China (and Willy  Grin). What if 2015 bubble, next point of growth will be not Wall Street and not China again, but Japan?

Japan, just like China, has a lot of people with a lot of money they have nowhere to invest. Bank interest rates are around zero, economy in stagnation, entrance to business is controlled by big guys. So bitcoin is the solution a lot of Japanese are looking for. Is Japan the new China?

Japanese unlike Chinese can simply invest into the world market including NYSE and Nasdaq. They don't face restrictions like the Chinese do. Also, the Japanese are not rolling in cash like you claim.

Less money will flow into Bitcoin as the economy does well since people will feel confident to invest in stocks and businesses. Both gold and Bitcoin will see lower flow of cash. That said it takes just one upswing and a barrage of investors will get on board Bitcoin taking it to new levels.
280  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Is Not Rebounding,why? on: October 30, 2014, 03:49:14 AM
This is good for Bitcoin. We need to get a lot lower to shake out all the weak hands. Plus, lower prices means cheaper coins for us true believers! Imagine how many coins we'll buy if we ever go sub 100!!! We'll buy thousands of them! Then, when we drop below $50, we'll buy tens of thousands! Promise!!!

So you plan to buy a whole bunch of btc at $100 and then lose half its value at $50 to buy more?

The price is going down because traders are trading the crap out of btc. As soon as price goes up, they sell and then they buy back when the price drops!
