381  Economy / Speculation / Re: Looks more and more like a 2011 repeat on: June 27, 2013, 05:05:45 PM
But as things get more decentralized we should slowly come out on top.

Decentralized? With all the ASICS the network is getting more and more centralized.

ASICMiner alone currently holds 24% of the network hashing power!

For the idea of Bitcoin it would have been best if only CPU mining would be possible. No GPUs. No ASICs.
382  Economy / Speculation / Re: Looks more and more like a 2011 repeat on: June 27, 2013, 04:47:06 PM
google measures the hype; bitcointalk stats measures community activity.

Exactly. And this means the hype is gone.

It will take years before Bitcoin will see 200$ again. If at all.
383  Economy / Speculation / Re: Looks more and more like a 2011 repeat on: June 27, 2013, 10:47:10 AM
That is a good news, it means 2015 it will touch 2000

I highly doubt that.

Look at Google Trends:

In spring of 2013 Bitcoin was everywhere in the Mainstream Media (e.g. because of the Euro crisis). What do you think comes next? The Intergalactic Media?

It seems like people are losing interest in Bitcoin. You can also see this in the trade volume on the exchanges:

This, and the big an small scandals & scams around Bitcoin (exchanges down (Vircurex, Cryptsy, Bter, btc-e), MtGox stopped USD withdrawals, aurumxchange closed, banks (Citi & Chase) no longer processing Bitcoin related transactions, shady ASIC companies (mining with customer hardware), etc.) will slowly kill Bitcoin.

Was willst Du dagegen tun?

385  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Difficulty jumps 29% on: June 24, 2013, 09:12:43 AM
Exactly lol. All the delay stories are the companies mining away themselves. Funny huh?

Bitcoin should change the hashing algorithm (from SHA-256 to SHA-512 or Scrypt or ...) to show those fuckers this here:

Bitcoin was meant to be democratic and decentralized. What we see since about 1/2 year is quite the opposite development: Bitcoin becomes more and more Bankster-like.

{img}

edit: look closely at his eyes and see what he sees

What he sees in front of him is a herd of ignorant sheep waiting to be fleeced.

But those eyes are evil. He knows he must hurt them emotionally before ripping off their skin for profit. You can see the disgust in his eyes for the, as he calls them, "monumental assholes" that he's about to rape. Muahahaha

Ah. Much better now.

387  Local / Mining (Deutsch) / Re: Fuck You BFL on: June 19, 2013, 03:41:46 PM
des sind doch echt die letzten Arschlöcher!

Arschlöcher? Das selbe denkt BFL auch über uns:

... I tried to be nice and I wanted to help you and you give me all sorts of shit and accusations.  This is why we no longer give a shit about this forum;  Everyone here is monumental assholes, no matter how accommodating one tries to be.
388  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Open letter to Theymos regarding Butterfly Labs (BFL) on: June 19, 2013, 03:32:54 PM
Dear Mods,

this is what BFL/Josh thinks about us:

Oh you do bring up a good point... If he DDoS'ed the 3 pools, then he could easily jump in and attack. Shoot. ...

Same for Bitcoin:

BTC Guild + 50BTC have 51% of the network
BTC Guild + 50BTC + Slush have 61% of the network

392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you want your favorite altcoin to survive: mine it. on: June 17, 2013, 07:46:50 PM
People need to find loyalty and forget greed.

Either you are very young, very old, very naive - or very hypocrite. Or all of it.

Or you are from the past and found a way to post into the future:

Anyone interested in pre-order a 1000?

Estimated deliver in the week of July. Depending on supplies.

You mean "in two weeks (© BFL_Josh)"?

Definitely interested. But only if I have to pay fully upfront.
394  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Open letter to Theymos regarding Butterfly Labs (BFL) on: June 17, 2013, 07:00:58 PM
Inaba is a pathological liar as well as a terrible human being, there is no winning here...

Yep. But once BFL goes belly up he will never get another job - other than plongeur.

395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if governments try to take away your bitcoin? on: June 16, 2013, 09:57:07 AM
... not ignorant cultist garbage.

Wake up! This is the country you live in: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Rdi_RNRpdk
The country of the bug fucking liar Obama.
396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if governments try to take away your bitcoin? on: June 16, 2013, 09:49:03 AM
You don't actually believe that do you?

You don't actually believe in Prism, do you?
397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if governments try to take away your bitcoin? on: June 16, 2013, 09:42:07 AM
Fixed that for you:

Depends on what government it was. If it was the Korean government, I'd laugh at them. If it was the US government, I'd go to Guantanamo Bay take the opportunity to fight and resist in the courts all the way to the Supreme Court to see that bitcoin got as much attention as possible, before giving them a private key to a wallet with 0.001 BTC in it.
398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if governments try to take away your bitcoin? on: June 16, 2013, 09:01:48 AM
Will you fight back, or take it in the ass?  Lips sealed

I fight back -> They put me to jail (as they always do) -> I get it in the ass.

No matter what you do: You always get it in the ass Grin
399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proposal to change Bitcoins hashing algorithm to Scrpyt-Jane on: June 16, 2013, 08:57:00 AM
"SHA-2 is a set of cryptographic hash functions (SHA-224, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512) designed by the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) ..."

NSA? Prism? What was that all about? ...  Wink
400  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin should be at $13,500 ? on: June 16, 2013, 08:30:42 AM
My balls should be at 5 billion US$ each!

There are 22 million Bitcoin, but there are only two of my balls -> so very rare thing.

Geez, people! 13,500? Seriously?

As long as I can't pay for a Cheeseburger with Bitcoins it's value is pure speculation.
