You'd have to be pretty delusional to think they don't exist at this point.

I am sure they don't exist at this point. If they would exist,
a) BFL would have proudly shown the world a working prototype.
b) Yochdog and Kano would have visited BFL to inspect their ASICs - and testify: "Yes, they are real".
c) the forums would be full with posts like "Haha - told you so, sucker!".

I mean, if it was a scam, BFL would most likely have mysteriously disappeared by now, along with all the pre-order cash/coins.

I don't know if it's a scam - or not, if BFL will deliver one day - or not. Time will tell ...

TBH at first glance I actually thought it was something you did and you were taking the piss. It could be interpreted either way and not very slandery, really.

+1

I found it funny too. And pathetic in a way. Because it seems the asshamsters have to try harder and harder each day to keep their mass delusion - the parallel universe where BFL ASICs exist - alive.

Note: Not all asshamsters are contest participants - but all contest participants are asshamsters  Wink

... rarara you fucking idiot ... pathological liar ... retard ...

I noticed you stopped posting as BFL_Josh, the half-asshole, and only use your Inaba account, the full-asshole. Is this because the f-word is not appropriate for a PR guy?

But wait - you are not BFLs PR guy, right? You are more a kind of jet fighter pilot ubermensch that somehow has to deal with us subhuman peasants that dare to ask questions.

PS - My job is not PR or investor relations, which is why I don't coddle idiots like Frizz and PuertoLibre when they display their stupidity over and over.

...
The topic never really came up.  BFL as a corporate entity is a startup and has been running very lean and mean.  With wild success and absolutely spectacular outlook for products, it’s time to move to the next stage of business. With my diverse skill set, I can replace both a technical lead and a PR/community lead, thereby eliminating the need for an additional person, which means we can move that much quicker in the market as well as have that much less overhead that can go towards development instead of human resources.
...

You do know your job description at BFL, no? Grin

Unfortunately, there's no deleted posts and you are lying again...

There are plenty of deleted posts. E.g this one where you have been proven wrong. But of course your bloated ego can't take that:

https://forums.butterflylabs.com/hardware-discussion/514-playstation-3-a.html#post7656

A playstation 3?

or this one:

https://forums.butterflylabs.com/pre-sales-questions/406-any-chance-chips-wont-work-2.html

Any chance the chips won't work?

Both have been deleted. And many more ...

3---sept./oct. to late nov./early dec. to early jan., 2 times delayed, if that is constant, then 1x delay for bASIC and 1x delay for Avalon (announced) is constant too. But, no, I'm not happy with any delay.

2 times delayed? LOL. How often have they played the "we're only waiting for parts/chips/new premises - after that we will ship within one week" game with us? I stopped counting ...

P.S.
I have two things for you to lookup: Delusional Disorder and Stockholm Syndrome.
Weak reply, coming from someone that makes extra accounts to lick his own ass. Now I'm wondering if you actually are Frizz, or an identity made up by a certain angry moderator. This requires an in-depth investigation, Holmes!

Weak reply instead, SLok. But I'm used to that. Inaba and his Assmhaster army always resort to this "trick": Changing the subject once they are proven wrong ...

So let me explain it to you for the 3th time: you can only see ALL comments by going to the bfl forum mainpage, bottom and selecting the topic under "article comments".
The 2 complainers just like you use either the article itself where comments are not properly added or use the links shown through the "what's new" page, which act the same, that is: lead to the article instead of the topic.

Nice explanation. You know Occams Razor (a principle stating that among competing hypotheses, the one that makes the fewest assumptions should be selected)? So: BFL deletes comments - hence users complain about deleted comments.

Seriously SLok, why do you defend BFL so much? Are you happy with their customer support? Their constantly delayed shipment dates? Their information policy? Their transparency? I mean their last "BFL ASIC Delays - An In-Depth Explanation" was a joke - yet it still seems to be OK for you.

Why?
1010  Bitcoin / Hardware / [Archive] BFL trolling museum on: December 15, 2012, 11:31:03 AM
Thanks, that explains it.

Not really. What are Kelticfox, Kjlimo and others talking about if nothing has been deleted?

It is a proven fact that BFL censors and deletes "inconvenient" comments. The more "inconvenient" questions the users ask, the more censorship there will be ...

BFL does not censor? Yeah right ...

Of course Frizz is lying again, either that or he's too stupid to figure out what pagination is.

Yes folks, it's true... Frizz23 so lacking intelligence that he can't figure out what the | PAGE 2 of 2 | <<FIRST < 1 2 | mean at the bottom of the page.

HERP DERP DERP!  There's more than one page?!!?!

On https://forums.butterflylabs.com/activity.php you can still see the deleted postings. Next time you should put more effort to cover your tracks.

Here are some examples:

You are a f*cking liar!

I just love how you like to make shit up.  Or are you too stupid to figure out that you're only looking at one page of comments?  Probably the later.  Herp Derp!  There's more than one page?!! ZOMG.

Stupdity at it's finest, Frizz, thanks for reiterating the fact that you're an idiot.

BFL ASIC Delays - An In-Depth Explanation

Anticipation is running high at Butterfly Labs in advance of receipt of our chips from the foundry. The production of these very dense, hand-routed chips are the reason for the delay in the latest line of bitcoin mining machines. Unlike our competitors, Butterfly Labs ASIC chips are 100% custom. Producing custom chips requires foundry scheduling and forces us into the queue with other chip developers (from all industries). The design is complete. It’s just a matter of waiting for production and delivery. The boards, enclosures, and assembly teams are standing by, anxiously awaiting delivery of the chips so we can begin assembly and start shipping.
...

"The design is complete". That's where they are at the moment. The design might be borked. It might need a resign. It might never work. Who knows. They don't have a working prototype.

They said they ship in October. Now it's December and they say "design is complete".

23 comments. Only 8 are still there. So 15 got deleted already. Now that I call censorship. Even the BFL asshamsters seem to wake up and post some nasty stuff Smiley

"The design is complete". Wow that's a relief! You intended to ship in October!

"It’s just a matter of waiting for production and delivery". That's what your explanations, excuses, lies have been all about in the last couple of weeks - so nothing new here.

Our competitors are facing worse challenges.
Recent posts from the bASIC and Avalon groups have outlined redesign plans and delays for their chip and board. When a road map doesn't exist, let alone a trail to follow, it can create situations that require extra time to develop solutions throughout the development process. Butterfly Labs has been down this road before and we anticipated, long ago, the issues that bASIC is now facing. The reality is, this technology does not exist anywhere else in the world. It's not as though you can go to a big box electronics retailer and buy this technology off of the shelf.

The same "OK BFL sucks - but the other teams suck too" we have heard a million times before from you at BFL.

The ASIC miners are revolutionary machines that will render most, if not all, graphics card miners ineffective and cost prohibitive. ASIC miners will not be eclipsed as quickly and significantly as their predecessor, the FPGA units. They are meant to be a long-term investment. Their performance should be sustained for at least two years and potentially as many as five years. That is not to say that there won't be improvements over the next few years; there will be. The improvements just won't be the night and day difference of the ASIC vs. FPGA technologies.

rarara ... now that's just some plain marketing crap. No useful information at all!

"BFL ASIC Delays - An In-Depth Explanation" ... seriously BFL, you call this an In-Depth Explanation?!?!

Summarized: BFL ... WTF?

I did. But for those they actually pay ...

... or not. This are the ones PuertoLibre was referring to:

BFL should pay Theymos the ad rent they owe.

It's ok to get a little entertainment out of the usual rageposts but not purposefully provoking them.

Since DiabloD3 restricted the BFL threads I tried to create another account on BFL forums - but their registration function is defunct. Since about a week now.

It's been unusually quiet form the "official" BFL side. On BFL forums - and on here as well.

Maybe they are already in Mexico, drinking Tequila and having fun with the ladies?

Signatures. BFL "buys" signature space ...
... plus ad space here on the forum too.

Never noticed something like this here?
