381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Indian Govt thinks Bitcoin is a ponzi scheme on: April 28, 2019, 02:14:37 PM
Its definitely not a ponzi because no one is taking money from new members to pay old ones.  You could say that most people buy hoping that someone else will pay a higher price.  There is no doubting that bitcoin has risen more from speculation rather than pure adoption.  It would be near impossible for them to enforce a bitcoin ban, its like trying to ban music piracy.

American government would rather spend $700 billion on the military.............
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All altcoins without proof of work will be destroyed on: April 28, 2019, 02:02:28 PM
I'm still not sure if proof of stake is a sustainable system, I do believe proof of work does a much better job of setting a floor value for a coin.  Also proof of stake is more centralized since it just rewards the rich holders.
384  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Real Problems with American Healthcare on: April 27, 2019, 12:50:46 PM

Don't get me wrong Suchmoon, you could be right -- though I do think that the market is the best place to ensure prices, competition, innovation, etc.

"You think" when in reality the observable facts prove the exact opposite.  As mentioned we have many examples of good universal healthcare systems while literally ZERO examples of good for profit healthcare systems, and it isn't for lack of trying LMFAO!

The free market does not bring innovation, don't fall for this lie.  Look at all the major technological innovations over the past 50 years, they came from government funded programs like NASA and the military.  GPs, Cell phones, internet, radio, etc.
385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2018-2019 on: April 27, 2019, 12:48:11 PM
Ajax has been very lucky in the tournament till now. But their luck will run out next week against Tottenham.

Lucky ? You've gotta be kidding right ? They've been the most unlucky team in this tournament! Where they are now has nothing to do with being lucky, They are brilliant and just that's it! They played against Bayern Munich in the group stage, Madrid at the round of 16, and Juventus at quarter finals do you still consider them lucky, They were obviously better than any these teams over the two leg matches, and Only lost once, at home to Real Madrid which was controversial, They then went ahead to win the 2nd in a grand style, The same thing against Juventus, They've not been lucky, they fully deserve all their results so far!

I'm not sure if this is the case with him but people tend to downplay any teams that aren't in the top 4 leagues.  They don't get as much media attention so they think they are not a capable team.
386  Economy / Economics / Re: Sick and tired of the cryptocurrency bullshit!!! on: April 27, 2019, 12:42:57 PM
I'm tired of all the shills and people saying anything that they don't hold is a scam.  Different coin communities have become like a cult and you can't dare say anything negative about their chosen coin.  Also really tired of all the exchange hacks and people need to stop leaving coins on exchanges.
387  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hi can a Beginner make Profit? on: April 27, 2019, 12:36:33 PM
I think it is not advisable to gamble in a casino especially if you do not fully know what it is. Gambling industry is very risky for those newbies to obtain profit.
My response suggestion was obviously sarcastic due to OP looking for "ez munnyz". I'm a little bit too annoyed to people who think bitcoin/bitcointalk is a moneymaking scheme.

To OP: Either you study a lot and be knowledgeable enough to be eligible for a decent signature campaign here on Bitcointalk, or go get a job.

There is a lot of "ez money" on the internet if you are smart.  People make millions overnight with a video game or a simple website. I'm not talking about bitcointalk because this is mostly just a discussion site with a little bit of monetary incentive.
388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Loves Crypto? North Korea, That’s Who on: April 27, 2019, 12:27:28 PM
I've always suspected that North Korea government has been mining cryptocurrency.  This gives them a good back up plan in case of economic disaster.  Its government run so its not like they have to worry about paying electricity bills.
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH or XRP on: April 25, 2019, 02:19:15 PM
If you choose only with these two coins. Then I prefer ethereum. As for me, it is more perspective and profitable than ripple.
XRP is a very strange coin for me, because it is on the market very high and very little traded, what is the point of it, if it is used mainly by banks, I also choose ETH

The circulating supply is deceiving, majority is held by their foundation and a lot of wash trading is going on with XRP.  Ripple isn't something I would buy for a long term investment but it may pay off to swing trade it during this next bull run.  It has a lot of hype so it may do another 10x and reach 3 dollars once again but that is the time to dump it.
390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Monero Reach $500 in 2019? on: April 25, 2019, 02:12:18 PM
I'm gonna disagree with you Febo, there are a lot of new privacy coins that are taking marketshare away from Monero.  XMR isn't the strong privacy leader it used to be.

I won't be surprised if the btc ratio drops to .011 or .010 over the next month.
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8th Alt coin thread. Or what to do now that asics are all over the place. on: April 25, 2019, 02:06:19 PM
I honestly ever wonder if they will go "pos"
Its gonna take them at least another 10 years to do it at the rate they work

Lol, been debating buying some cheap 470s.   Since I started mining 2 years ago POS was always around the corner.  Maybe we should worry about the competence of the eth devs.

for sure.
there are so many other coins now that are destoying the ETH devs when it comes to devolopment and updates. It just doesn't seem to be a coin for the people its their coin, I mean there was a vote and it was decided to go propow. So they should get off their arses and implement it for the people.

Updates and development doesn't equate to financial success. How often is bitcoin being updated, its basically the same from day one.

I don't care if Asics have taken over the ethereum network either, big farms will always dominate and pay way less for electricity.  Big profits aren't for the hobby minres anymore.
392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stupid Bitcoin Traders on: April 25, 2019, 01:53:58 PM
The truth is no one really knows for certain what the future holds.  Most of us on this forum are bullish and expect bitcoin to last for a very long time but its still young and a lot of the skeptics have good points.

Investing and trading isn't all about intelligence but rather about keeping your emotions in check.
393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with bonuses only on: April 25, 2019, 01:31:49 PM
If gambling with bonuses is so easy then everybody would have done so, without spending money from their own pocket. The wagering requirement is very high and now they have done things even more difficult.

Even if a few people abuse the system and don't deposit any of their own money its still worth it for casinos to offer these type of bonuses.  The overall gain they get is positive.  Casinos have started to add more restrictions to free bets and free spins though.
394  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Real Problems with American Healthcare on: April 24, 2019, 03:36:41 PM
The problem with US healthcare:  It's singular focus is profit.

There a MANY examples of very effective and cost efficient universal healthcare, there are literally ZERO examples of successful purely for profit healthcare systems, but hey lets not let actual real world examples affect our thinking!

As Suchmoon mentioned this is really not difficult and literally the entire rest of the develop world moved on from this half a fucking century ago LOL.  Yup a few more more decades, a few more trillion dollars, a lowering level of healthcare and lowering age expectancy and eventually the US will figure out not EVERYTHING needs to be purely profit driven!

Now to start to fucking haggle with a doctor or to shop around for something like surgery FUCK that shit OMG, can my doctor focus on fixing my problems and not selling me his cheap ass services, fuck me sideways, I don't want some hack cheap cunt slicing me open with cut rate shit so he can do it cheaper...

Profit is what ruins healthcare, destroys the environment, keeps people homeless, rewards shareholders and not the workers.

Doctors are basically taught by the pharma companies, they are really just paid to push off their new drugs and they will never tell anyone any type of natural cure.  How often have you heard a doctor recommend fasting?
395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Start a Bitcoin Casino/Sports Gambling Business (Checklist) on: April 24, 2019, 03:32:36 PM
You need to be willing to spend a good amount on advertising if you want to get anywhere in this business.  You will be going against established casinos with a big amount of players.  The thing that a lot of these casinos are lacking is excellent customer service so if you can compete with that you will have good results.
396  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: small gains but cant make it big on: April 24, 2019, 03:26:00 PM
You should be patient enough to wait for your time. Small gains are still gains even they are small. You should not be impatient for not getting big gains because even you are getting small gains, once they are all piled up, they will become a big gain. Just keep that consistency of small gains and you will be amaze on how big your gains are in total.

If you can consistently get small gains the compounding effect will turn your small amount into a fortune.  Any profit is good profit. Shocked

Traders here have two options, they either trade to get more USD or trade the BTC pairs to get more crypto.  I prefer to stay completely in crypto so you don't any big bullruns because all the coins generally move in the same direction.
397  Economy / Economics / Re: Opinions about the emergence of new Coins on: April 24, 2019, 03:19:40 PM
Honestly, I don't trust the existence of new coins these days. Based on my experience, they will just bloom for days but fades in just a short period of time. I want to get rid of shitcoins so I would only stick to well-established coins. I wish that the market would do coin cleansing to remove all the shitcoins listed.

With that mindset you miss out the potential 100x coins that are out there.  Its annoying when people are calling literally everything a shitcoin.  Bitcoin should be the bulk of your investment in crypto but don't be afraid to risk some on these new projects with a promising future.
398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SoftBank Founder Masayoshi Son Lost $130 Million on Bitcoin on: April 24, 2019, 03:11:10 PM
Don't feel sorry for him, hes still super wealthy.  What about the people that went completely broke and are living on the streets.

Anyways all he had to do was hold and he wouldn't of lost a cent but I guess he lacked the patience.
399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What aims have you lost your funds so far in crypto? on: April 23, 2019, 02:50:39 PM
-I've lost $50 due to a paypal chargeback, thought I could trust the guy but I was wrong Sad

-Lost a decent amount of money on ICOs, was tired of sitting on the sidelines and watching those projects do 20x in a short amount of time.

-lost a small amount betting on sports
400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Patience & endurance on: April 23, 2019, 02:16:56 PM
In my country, there is a scheme that government introduced to its workers, it is called pension scheme, they keep deducting certain amount of money from their account till they retire from the job and pay them back, no matter the challenges they have during that period, government will never release it until retirement age. Most of the workers still lives without it and in the end, it plays a big role in their life after retirement.
So we should learn to see bitcoin as though it is our retirement money, no matter the challenges we are passing through that is giving us the pressure over our investment, we should learn to work it out. If we can see our investment as retirement money, then we will be able to easily overcome impatience.

I'm always against programs like this, you never know how long you will live so you might as well enjoy your life when you can.  There are many things you can't do when you are that old.  Its really just set up like a ponzi scheme if you think about it, just like America's social security.
