381  Other / Meta / Re: Make bitcointalk.org great again: Add a gaming board, already! on: June 29, 2024, 01:05:15 PM

But the OP doesn't want NFT games, he wants video games. His argument for that is good that he wants to attract young people between the ages of 13-21 to this forum, where they can learn about Bitcoin more and so we can ensure that the culture of Bitcoin is spread to the younger generation.

I don't know if his plan will work because adding a subgame board won't be enough to attract younger players to the forum.

Is it insulting to all of us his assumption that for Bitcointalk to be great, a non-Bitcoin or Cryptocurrency should be added, Bitcointalk is still great, and a platform is non-existent in the Crypto ecosystem unless it's introduced here.
What you've recommended is good on the Off-Topic board, any industry that has and will have a section here partake of the reputation of Bitcointalk and not the other way around.
382  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Buy Domain through Crypto on: June 29, 2024, 12:23:54 PM
Go with the original domain provider that's ICANN accredited and the first to take Bitcoin: easyDNS (run by a Bitcoiner).

They may be old and the first domain provided in the industry but Namecheap beat them in terms of features and support; one of the big perks of buying a domain on Namecheap is the free SSL that's worth $15 and on renewal, you can renew your domain if you are patient to look on a discount coupon, I renew my domain with 20% discount.
Namecheap boasts a lot of domain extensions, so it is no wonder they are the domain provider to go to when buying a domain.
I also recommend that you host your domain on Namecheap so setting up and configuring will be easy, once you experience Namecheap you will not look for another.
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question about my new project on: June 28, 2024, 02:42:36 PM
I am not a big fan of meme coins because the majority of these meme coins are just pump-and-dump coins but based on your story, you're trying to make things different. I agree that it's not easy getting listed on these market aggregators.
My advice is whether you will do it slowly or quickly, build the trust of your community and use case; these two are the main components of a successful project in the meme industry. Shiba Inu built their project this way, so they achieve a milestone in the meme world, you can do the same if your goal is long term.
384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney - Sandor Martin Ordered By WBC For The Light Welterweight Title on: June 28, 2024, 02:09:31 PM

So if this happens then it's another bypass of the interim champion, because the winner of Puello vs Martin will become the WBC interim champ. And if ever Haney comes back (as he is a champion in recess as per WBC), then the first order of the day should be him vs the winner of Puello vs Martin to just have one champion in their body.

And it Hearn proposes this fight then it doesn't make sense as there will be two champion in WBC. That's how fuck up this governing body is as what we have discussed, the most corrupt of them as compare to other body in boxing.

It all messed up now for Haney, he is not training anymore for this fight he is busier suing Ryan Garcia and trying to fix his lost reputation and wounded ego, he requested DAZN to remove his fight against Haney which DAZN declined and now he is pushing and requesting YouTube to take out which I doubt will comply.
I guess he will need Agent J's Laser of Men In Black for people to forget what happened between him and Ryan  Cheesy

385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny - Pacquiao VS Chihiro Suzuki Exhibition Match on: June 28, 2024, 01:21:35 PM

It's good that there's a replacement so the fight won't be canceled. At least they can still make money. However, the outlook on the fight hasn't changed much. I'm sure everyone here thinks Manny can win easily, even if it's just an exhibition fight.

I think @coin-investor should also update the thread title.

Yes I have updated the title of the thread including the information Rukiya is also a worthy opponent with an impressive record as a professional kickboxer

Quote
Anpo, 0-1 in MMA, holds a record of 27-8-1 as a professional kickboxer, scoring knockouts in 14 of his victories, winning and defending the K-1 super lightweight championship.
Honestly, I prefer Chihiro because of how he disrespects Manny Pacquiao, but still, Manny should watch out for this guy. He can pull an upset if he thinks this is a much easier opponent, though it is an exhibition match he should also show seriousness here.
After this fight, there's a possibility of Pacquiao going back to professional boxing he is in talks with Mario Barrios camp, but so much depends on the outcome of this exhibition fight.
386  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Buy My Gambling Platform! on: June 27, 2024, 03:00:46 PM
The title is misleading. You claim you own the gambling platform, but your post stated you're selling your shareholding. You have to clarify what you really are selling: your own gambling platform or just your share you are not being transparent on this; better to change the title for transparency

Hi all!

I thought I would come on here to collect some expressions of interest for purchasing my shareholding in an up-and-coming gambling platform.

You are not selling something that costs a few hundred dollars I'm sure this costs thousands of dollars but you have to be specific on the price range so people who will see your thread will have an idea if they can negotiate the price based on the price range.

Quote
For some context, as some of you would know I work very closely with 8ombard and their development team. I have also had the chance to work with a few other casinos which I hold equity in.

I am looking to sell my shareholding in one of these crypto gambling platforms.
Name the casino that you're selling your shareholding so the potential buyer will investigate and check if this is the casino that he wants to have a share.
Add more information so you will not waste your time and your potential buyer.

387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Akhmadaliev ordered by the WBA no later than September 25 on: June 27, 2024, 02:02:20 PM

I agree that Inoue should just fight Akhmadaliev, the WBA mandatory instead of TJ Doheny. But maybe Doheny and Inoue's team are requesting the WBO to install it as a mandatory to avoid being stripped of his WBA belt. Doheny is currently WBO #2 but the #1 ranked is Sam Goodman who is already the IBF mandatory so it is possible that the WBO will announce that Inoue-Doheny is their official WBO mandatory fight.

Casimero is ranked #3 by the WBO. If TJ Doheny and Sam Goodman losses to Inoue this year then he gets the #1 rank next year. But Casimero has to stay active if he wants the WBO to continue preserving his rank. I don't care if Casimero gets Inoue or not but he should be able to get a title shot next year because he is running out of time.

I don't know what the Inoue team is thinking but if they are talking about legacy and greatness the best choice of fighter to fight is Casimero let's admit it Casimero is a hall of fame candidate he is a holder of three titles in different weight category IBF junior-flyweight title from 2012 to 2013; the IBF flyweight title in 2016; and the WBO bantamweight title from 2019 to 2022.

Bob Arum has been comparing Inoue with Pacquiao even to the point of saying that he is even than Pacquiao
Quote
“Inoue is a tremendous, tremendous fighter, like we’ve never seen before, maybe since Manny Pacquiao—probably better than Pacquiao was,” Arum told Little Giant Boxing.
Bob Arum: Inoue is a Tremendous Fighter…Probably Better Than Pacquiao Was

But checking both their achievement at the age of thirty we will see that Pacquiao is far better achiever than Inoue

388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I will set up a new token project, help on: June 27, 2024, 10:23:49 AM
Hello friends, I am thinking of establishing a new token project. I will list it on the following sites as the first road map.
Better forget it if it has no use case and if your goal is to make money from crowdfunding, we have thousands of dead coins already, don't add yours.

Quote
1- https://www.coinmarketcap.com

2- https://www.coingecko.com

3- https://www.tokenmarketcap.org

Apart from these sites, on which other sites should I list my project?

Listing should be the last thing on your mind, you should concentrate on use case, roadmap, and building a community

Quote
I would be glad if you help me in this regard Huh
Even if I can I will not because obviously you just want a cash cow, and investors are wiser now.
389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the merits and demerits of casinos setting withdrawal limits on: June 26, 2024, 03:25:36 PM
All I know is The reason why casinos have a withdrawal limit is in case there are a lot of winners with large amounts and they cannot sustain the payout it has nothing to do with the narrative on your thread that you could suffer from a heart attack.

This limit will benefit the casino to maintain their finances; the demerit is that gamblers will prefer casinos to play on casinos with no limits; I don't have a problem with withdrawal limit as long as the limit is high; I just withdraw my money daily, but I need to control myself from being tempted to use my winnings to play in the hope of adding more, that's already greed.

390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Bohachuk Vs Ortiz Jr WBC INTERIM SUPER WELTERWEIGHT TITLE AUG 10 2024 on: June 26, 2024, 02:15:46 PM
This is the battle between two of the hardest punchers in the Super Welterweight division, one with a 100% knockout percentage and the other with an almost perfect knock-out ratio.
Vergil Ortiz Jr 21-0-21 will be fighting Serhii Bohachuk 24-1-23 will be fighting for the
WBC INTERIM SUPER WELTERWEIGHT TITLE AUG 10 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada

Quote
Bohachuk emerged as a potential opponent for Ortiz after former WBO world junior middleweight titleholder Tim Tszyu withdrew from the Ortiz fight, which would have taken place on August 3 at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. Doctors have not medically cleared Tszyu, as a cut along his hairline suffered against Sebastian Fundora on March 30 has not properly healed.

Bohachuk is a perfect replacement for Tszyu as Bohachuk like Ortiz Jr. is considered a worthy champion. This is going to be a battle of two knock-out artists, so expect a lot of action.

391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney - Sandor Martin Ordered By WBC For The Light Welterweight Title on: June 26, 2024, 01:24:38 PM
I guess this fight is no longer happening, as Devin Haney requested that WBC put him as "champion in recess", so it means he will not be defending his belt anymore and they elevated Puello as their champion and so he will be one going to fight Sandor Martin.

Quote
Devin Haney has made his choice.

A ruling was made to downgrade the unbeaten two-division titlist to WBC ‘Champion in Recess’ at junior welterweight. Haney, No. 1 at 140, requested the move after he informed the sanctioning body he was unable to move forward with a mandatory to title defense versus Spain’s Sandor Martin.

https://www.ringtv.com/674610-devin-haney-named-champion-in-recess-wbc-orders-alberto-puello-sandor-martin/

Haney was disappointed with the $2.4 million bid. It is a clear downgrade from his status as a former undisputed lightweight champion, and on his last fight where he received $30 million from the Garcia fight.
I read that DAZN wants him to fight Lian Paro

Quote
“I don’t think it’s a bad fight for Liam Paro, and I will continue those conversations to fight Liam Paro in Australia,” said Hearn. “Right now, we’re planning a big homecoming for Liam Paro in Australia and I would like it to be Devin Haney. But can it be for a unification? Probably not. Will he vacate that [WBC] and fight for the IBF?”

Source: Eddie Hearn Proposes Devin Haney Vs. Liam Paro Fight In Australia - Boxing News 24 (https://www.boxingnews24.com/2024/06/eddie-hearn-proposes-devin-haney-vs-liam-paro-fight-in-australia/)

Haney has limited options. He cannot also go into the welterweight division and challenge Ennis because that would be disastrous, he may take the Paro fight in Australia, but Paro's upset against Subriel is bad news for Haney; all of this happens to Haney because of his terrible loss to Ryan.
392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Won $4 Million and Died… on: June 26, 2024, 08:11:22 AM
I didn't find this news here, which is now being actively published on social networks, but it can be discussed.
The news is that a man in Singapore won a four-million-dollar jackpot and suffered a heart attack after learning of the win.

This is called sudden cardiac arrest, and it's immediate and can cause sudden death
he might have felt shortness of breath when he won that huge amount of money but did not bother to say to people what he was feeling; the dealers are trained to look at the countenance or face of the winner, especially if the winner is a senior citizen if there is a sign of attack like this, but unfortunately, out of excitement, they may have overlooked this.
Casinos have an automated external defibrillator (AED), but if the attack is sudden, it may not help.

Quote
Sometimes joyful events end sadly. A person who learns the news experiences stress, which causes a strong heartbeat; and adrenaline levels to increase; and if the winner’s health is not very good, misfortune can happen, as happened with the player from Singapore.
Have you ever had a time when winning a large sum caused inconvenience and did not bring you the joy you expected?
Physical casinos are aware of this scenario, but the attack was so sudden that they failed to revive the patient; gamblers, especially senior citizens, should be accompanied by friends who are aware of his condition if he has a heart ailment so they can assist if ever there is this kind of attack.
393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you put money together with friends to bet on sports games? on: June 25, 2024, 04:20:44 PM
Why not if it's for fun and we are comfortable with money we can afford to lose. Our groups do this: we pick the team based on the number of votes and agree on the share of bets and profits; it is fun to do, it strengthens the camaraderie within the group; the most important in group betting is mutual trust, and that you all have fun.

When friends agree to do something together, it should be fun and something that strengthens the bonds between the friends; I became very familiar with my friends because of this group betting.
394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Components In Marketing A Casino What's The Best Option For Owners on: June 25, 2024, 01:01:43 PM
After the developer launches a casino, the hardest part is marketing it, based on your experience as a player where do you recommend the operator should focus on marketing their platform.

Best Features Word Of The Mouth
If you have the best features and lots of bonuses your players will spread about your casino through word of mouth so you will concentrate instead of putting the best features.

Announcement And Signature Campaign
You buy a copper account here on Bitcointalk and create an announcement thread hire a competent bounty manager to launch a signature campaign

Review Campaign
Request casino review platforms like Askgambler, BTCGosu to review your casino

Affiliate Marketing
You structured a high paying affiliate rewards to attract streamers and casino promoters to promote your casino

Advertising On Popular Network
Bid on advertising network for keywords for your gambling platforms

I prefer the casino operator to buy a copper account here on Bitcointalk and create an announcement thread hire a competent bounty manager to launch a signature campaign, the gamblers trust the casino with official announcement so they can openly as their concern publicly.

395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Thailand to Legalize Gambling To combat Illegal gambling or.... on: June 25, 2024, 09:59:57 AM
I read an article about Thailand's Prime Minister planning to legalize gambling in order to combat illegal gambling.  He also stated that the illegal gambling operation are earning trillions of baht but are not contributing to the nation.
This is the reason why our government does not want to outlaw gambling, gamblers will go underground, and the corrupt officials are the ones who are going to make money from bribes and extortion; it was done before in our local game color game, and the corrupt officials and police are the ones who benefited from the bribes and extortion money and the government can't keep up catching these illegal gambling operators.
Since they legalized gambling our country has made billions, they able to build hospitals and infrastructures and they also regulate the gambling industry and protect the betting public

Quote
I also think it is a wise decision on the PM side since it is impossible to stop gambling, so why not take advantage of it for the country's development?  Your thought?
He made the right decision, and one of the considerations is if a country has traditions that involve gambling it is hard to outlaw these traditions, the only way is to regulate it protect the betting public, and use the taxes for the welfare of the people, our government did just that and its one of the country where legalizing gambling has been a success
396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Do you look obvious when you win or lose in gambling after you log out on: June 24, 2024, 03:00:44 PM
It's a good practice to forget everything after you get out on a gambling platform, whether online or offline, whether you win or lose, and I make it a point to be like that we have our life to live and gambling should not affect our daily activity.

The reason I started this discussion is  I have a friend who takes a whole day or two to leave what has happened to him every time he logs out or gets out of the gambling platform.

You can easily tell the way he talks and moves if he wins or not, his enjoyment whenever he wins, and his sadness and depression every time he loses; he carries it for a time lasting from a whole day to two days.

His reason is that he is immersed in it while playing it. He carries his emotions out of the platform, and it's hard for him to shake off.

How about you? Do you look obvious when you win or lose in gambling after you log out, and how do you address this?

397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney - Sandor Martin Ordered By WBC For The Light Welterweight Title on: June 24, 2024, 01:19:03 PM
The Haney-Garcia was ruled a no-contest, and Haney is back as an undefeated champion again, but to everybody's surprise, Haney requested DAZN to remove the footage; he also requested YouTube to remove all footage about his losses, which IU doubt DAZN will grant as its one of the big money maker on YouTube with over 13 million views now and growing.
YouTube is unlikely to remove it as it is part of history that the fight happens regardless of what happened after the fight.

Haney is so devastated that he wants people to forget the fight happen but I doubt people will forget it, the fight will hound him for the rest of his boxing career.

398  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Help us open a community Innovation hub on: June 24, 2024, 11:27:40 AM
We are youth led project building the first innovation hub in our community to offer co-working spaces and networking opportunities to learn bitcoin.

Check https://geyser.fund/project/livingstonehub

That's a good initiative for the propagation of Bitcoin in your country. Still, there is a lack of information on the location, and the people running the project, and the sectors that will likely benefit.
When asking for funding, you have to be transparent and on point with what you want to achieve.
I'm looking further, but I cannot find more information but a short description and a pic that we don't know if you really own, you should have taken a video and given us a tour of the location.

399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Soldiers using gambling to cope with stress. on: June 24, 2024, 10:40:54 AM

Now, do you think soldiers who have left home for a long time and are going through boredom should be restricted from engaging in gambling which helps reduce their stress? If gambling does not have any effect on their performance on the waterfront and they gamble responsibly, do you think there should be restrictions?

Online casinos promote themselves as an entertainment portal and where else people who suffer from boredom and looking something to excite them but gambling apart from gaming and watching online movies gambling offers a good stress reliever if taken with the right mindset.

War is not only depressing but they are risking their lives, they have anxiety if they are going to get home alive, the best that their commanders do is to counsel these soldiers to become a responsible gambler and do not take it seriously but as something to take away the grim of wars.
400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop Fatigue: Have We Seen the Last of the Free Money Era? on: June 23, 2024, 02:48:55 PM

But hold up, what's this I'm hearing? Caught wind of some chatter about an event that's supposedly giving away over $50,000 in tokens. In this market? You gotta be kidding me. I mean, who's out here throwing around that kind of cash when even the crypto whales are scraping for scraps?
Airdrop is now what it used to be but at least you should be specific about what you posted where did you read that, a screenshot or a link is good for us to see I know it is a scam but we'll know how they make a claim

Quote
Now, I'm not saying I'm not intrigued. $50,000 is no joke - that's "quit crypto and open a taco stand on the beach" kind of money, especially in these bearish times. But here's what I'm wondering: Is this legit? Have any of you out there actually participated in something like this and come out a winner? Because let me tell you, if I managed to snag even a fraction of that $50k, I'd be doing a happy dance all the way to the bank.
If you are update about the current market situation you're not going to believe that there's no free money now on the internet, there used to be in the early stage of Cryptocurrency but no legit platform will make one very rich without investing

Quote
So what's the deal, crypto crew? Are we looking at the real deal or just another overblown promise? Have you ever struck gold in one of these events, or is it all just hype? Cause if this is for real, your boy might just have to dust off his lucky trading socks and give it a shot. After all, in this market, a little hope goes a long way - even if it ends up being false hope, right?
Scammers would like you to believe that they are going to make you very rich so you will be under their control, they want your time, your effort, and your money, and you'll fall into their trap if you're not doing the right research.
