The whole Russian thing looks suspect too.

It's the exact opposite. The Russian thing was what gave it some creedence.

...deposits under 100.000 EUR are fully secure in eurozone.

Not anymore, since August 1 2013, it seems...

8 pages of replies here and only 2 people can go over to meta subforum and support this initiative?

Please, more people need to go support this if anything is to be done: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=282006.0

Maybe that's because what you think is a problem is just 4 or 5 dudes with a big mouth, lots of time in their hands and a sense of entitlement like I haven't seen before.
Translation: nothing a few bans won't solve.
But that's just how I see it, and what the fuck do I know, right?
But the forum promote freedom of speech like with BFL ads so it can't ban users for posting their ideas. Meanwhile, they are clustering a technical part of the forum that don't give a *** about their flame wars. Give them a section to do so and everyone will be happy.

Not saying it will happen, because I really doubt it will come to that. Bitcoin is fueled by drama, after all. lol
It's just that the "complaints" get old, if you know what I mean. How many times do you need to say something to make it true? Oh, wait... Wink

EDIT:
You described the problem oh so well, in that other thread.
...stupid sockpuppet war.
Bitcoin psyops at its best LMAO

385  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Foundation is TOXIC and must dissolve, plus a call to action on: August 27, 2013, 09:47:30 PM

Bitcoin foundation votes are coming up for new board memberships.

If you want to alter the course of the foundation I would suggest you vote.

Does one have to be a politician/lobbyist just because he/she wishes the "government" to change its path?
Can't people just protest?

Does an highlighted ignore button  mean the user is a dumbfuck who can't read or that a user shouldn't be called out on the nonsense he writes? Most of the ignores are from persons who have trouble dealing weigh reality. A lousy metric, I tell you.

I think you may be a bit biased  Wink

I think you may be a bit mistaken Wink
387  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Get the Bitcoin-Qt menus back on Unity Ubuntu 12.04 and up on: August 27, 2013, 01:11:43 PM
Use Gnome or KDE.
You are just loosing time with Unity.
We'll use whatever we want to, OK?
This thread is about a problem with the Bitcoin-qt software on Unity and how to solve it, it's not a thread about your favourite window manager, so, please, take your off-topic advice somewhere else. Noticed the part about the problem being with Bitcoin-qt, not Unity? If you're so eager to help why didn't you recommend an alternative bitcoin client instead of going straight to the window manager?
388  Other / Meta / Re: [CENSORSHIP] Matthew N. Wright on: August 27, 2013, 12:58:35 PM
Only surprising thing I see is that people are still reading gweedo's posts, his ignore button is highlighted for a reason.

Also Theymos isn't the only one with the ban hammer.

Not true at all! If you look at John K's profile he when from a global mod to Administrator https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=31288 which would mean he can ban people as well! Since Theymos has the same position!

Don't Spread lies mod to cover up for other people/your boss!

Did you even read what you quoted? WTF...

PSY

391  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Problema do Mercado Bitcoin on: August 26, 2013, 01:22:27 AM

392  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BF Labs Inc. WILL process ALL backlogs by September 30, 2013! on: August 26, 2013, 01:17:26 AM
Phinn, one word of advice from a friend: STOP!

This is the thread you worried about? There is far far worse from PG around.
Weirdly, this one is semi-relevant to the forum and is not a scam accusation.

Not worried about any thread. Worried about Phinn's obsession.
393  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Semelhanças entre Leandro Mercado Bitcoin e Pirateat40 on: August 26, 2013, 01:16:37 AM

And you are a MODERATOR!!

(Oh my!)

Any problems with that? What does that have to do with the subject in hands?
Guys who start using my moderator position to try and shut me up truly disgust me. Your scamming was disgusting all by itself, but now this? Is that your method when you don't have any real arguments, try to divert the attentions to some other stuff? Well, it doesn't work with me. Tell us all about the 2000 BTC you stole from ThiagoCMC, please. What do you have to hide, your true nature?

Boy, dont be confused!

You are a FORUM MODERATOR. You are not a judge neither lawyer.

1: Learn to talk to people.

2: I have no business with you.

3: Grow up.

Hugs.

L.

And about those 2000BTC you stole? Still dodging it, clown?...

Stole?Huh

Boy, give me a break and search something to MODERATE.

L.
Lots of people complaining about you having their BTC and not giving it back, so yes, you stole.

I very much prefer to taunt the scammer(you). I have no obligations to moderate anything, you moron. I do what I can, when I can, if I feel like it, and that's all the forum asks from me. Only disgusting motherfuckers like you think that Moderators should just keep their mouth shut and have no opinions. It doesn't work like that over here.
If you have any complaints about my moderation, start a thread on the Meta section. If not, well... just shut the fuck up about me being a moderator once and for all.
