3881  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading losses on: November 05, 2020, 02:52:03 AM
If you don't want to lose money then you should not invest in the first place because your profit in cryptomarket is not guaranteed even if you hold bitcoin. Perfect timing is what you need in this market, and knowing when to buy and sell is important but never expect to have a consistent profit because cryptocurrency is too volatile. Hold bitcoin with your target price, and don't be greedy especially if you have the chance to take profit.

Actually he has a point. If all traders consider the steady growth of BTC price, no one will ever loss especially if no one do swing trade or day trading. But this is impossible to attain since most of the traders used indicators which shows sign if ever there is an overbought.

In trading, You will not lose until you sold unless you are on leverage trading. Many of traders that burned is due to leverage trading and not on the regular buy and sell of bitcoin.
3882  Economy / Services / Re: Expert Spreadsheet Updater Needed on: November 04, 2020, 01:07:23 PM
Better to indicate the pay rate and the working hours for updating the spreadsheet. I'm a data encoder online so I can easily update your spreadsheet with the right price. Don't accept random user out there that will offer low salary or free because they will just abandoned there job once they got already your trust. It's better to choose a high rank member because they will surely do the job properly because there reputation is in line on there performance.

Looking forward to work with you.
3883  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How safe is Coinbase / Coinbase Pro? on: November 04, 2020, 09:38:13 AM
Thank you all for the heads up. I now have my Bitcoin safely secured on my hard wallet.

I tried transferring the funds from my Coinbase wallet into my hard wallet but I have only $6.52 in bitcoin in there and the miners fee is $5.52 to transfer $1, if I try to transfer $2 the miners fee is $4.52, $2.10 the miners fee is $4.42 and if I try to transfer $2.20 the miners fee is too large to transfer. If I try to transfer anything from my Electrum wallet which has $4 in it the miners fee is too high.

Considering that it cost me less than $2 to transfer ~0.2 Bitcoin into my hard wallet from my main Coinbase account it seems a bit of a strange way to calculate the fees but I'm guessing this is something to do with Coinbase covering the miners fees from my main Coinbase account but not from my Coinbase Wallet or Electrum accounts.

Again, quibbling over pennies here but I guess I'll just leave these small amounts in my Coinbase and Electrum wallets and take these fees as a lesson that I should avoid transferring small amounts of Bitcoin into different wallets in future.

Actually, The amount that you want to transfer is not that big factor on calculating the transaction fee. The reason why transaction fee varies is because there's a lot of pending transaction on bitcoin mem pool. The current transaction fee is not the usual rate so always take note to consider the status of pending transaction in the mem pool before you send any transaction if you want to save fees.

You can check mem pool status here: https://mempool.space/

PS: The current fee is super expensive.
3884  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TOP 10 Lottery Winner Losers on: November 04, 2020, 09:26:01 AM
It's not clear for me why some on the list become loser while they are just being misfortune on there life like being murdered or being charge for false accusation. The word "Unfortunate" is more appropriate than losers because they didn't waste there money when they are alive.

This kind of story is always happening to a person that hit jackpots. Only few manage to secure there wealth because most of the winners don't know how to manage that's way they are betting on lottery game to get an instant wealth. It
3885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler living in England makes a $5M bet on Trump on: November 04, 2020, 07:14:19 AM
This has been considered the biggest political bet ever.

Quote
A British gambler has reportedly staked $5 million on President Trump winning Tuesday’s election — a wager believed to be the largest ever political bet.

The former banker used private bookmakers registered on the Caribbean island Curacao for the bet at odds of 37/20 — meaning he could get a $15 million payout, sources told The Sun.

In a few more hours, we will be announced the results of the presidential race. First, there was a $1M bet, now, $5M has been made. Politics aside, I love to see how people enjoy their happiness with gambling. No matter what the aspect is, they can always make an entertaining bet. Do our cryptocurrency gambling sites have a big wager like this?

Source: British gambler bets $5M on Trump in biggest-ever political wager

With that huge bet size. I'm sure he has a good source on election stats on America. The voting system of USA is unique and quite predictable because the vote is per state electoral vote and not by individual vote count.

This gambling in politics is only available on USA election so I wonder if this kind of gambling will be adopted by different country especially in the 3rd world country since politics can be manipulate.
3886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know what bankroll management is in sports betting? on: November 04, 2020, 05:15:44 AM
Deciding Units

I have seen many people getting confused about units and how to set it. Well, I've got a simple formulae here - just divide your bankroll by 100 and you'll get your 1 unit cost. Means, if you have $100, you should bet no more than $1 per bet doesn't matter you win or lose. This will give you 100 bets in total with 100 units available to play with.

I am fine with betting $1, to be honest, but the problem is that there are always those times that you can't stop yourself from betting higher. Even though you want to keep your bets lower, you just want to bet higher not just you can't control yourself but to try your luck and that usually derail us to minimal betting as it will lead to higher bets.

Use autobet if you really want to control your emotion during gambling. Setup 100 roll with 1$ bet per roll and leave your computer once you click start. Just do things like watching TV or catch fresh air outside and start dreaming what you will do on your winnings.  Grin

Actually people are just making things complicated like this bankroll management. The only key to enjoy proper gambling is deposit what you can afford to lose and never aim to win huge amount of money like your future depends on it. Gambling is not meant to give you a fortune, It's just a source of entertainment.
3887  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto Partnership Pool - Time to Partner Up! on: November 04, 2020, 01:39:40 AM
It's better to tell the community what kind of partnership it is and what kind of partnership are you offering what I mean is what are the details and what is the goal of your project, can you detect dubious partner that wants to partner with you, the Cryptocurrency industry is saturated with many bad projects, and they thrive on their partnership, I have seen scam projects mentioning legit companies as one of their partner.

I believe they want to create a place for project that looking for partnership. They are not the one who will do partnership. They just create the meet up space to connect all project that needs partnership which is a good idea IMHO. They just recently created the telegram channel so still only project/people already joined. This kind of idea need a good and vast marketing to become successful. The should create a proper thread about the services offer and info.

Quote from: post from there Telegram
In this chat crypto projects can quickly and easily form partnerships with each other.

Instructions:

PARTNERSHIP REQUEST [format]
- The logo of your project.
- Short description of the project.
- Describe the kind of project you want to partner with.
3888  Other / Meta / Re: Should confirmed scammers lose the ability to send PM? on: November 03, 2020, 04:20:04 PM
This shouldn't even be a debate able issue although, won't that be equivalent to a ban because, they seem pretty much like the same thing to me. At least they could cause no further damage to the forum and it's legit users. Though, in other for the later corrective measures to be implemented on suspects, the aligations should be verified to be true and in cases where the scammer has refused to return that which has been taken should the victim request for a refund. At that point, we are sure the scammer deserves what he or she gets (permanent/temporal ban or restriction from posting or pm).

Actually, that's the used of trust system and flagged in the forum so that community will help moderators to deal with this kind of issue. There is a lot of additional work for moderators if user with red tag as scam will be banned too and we don't need anymore the negative trust system if that implement because all negative trust in that case are already removed in the forum. Theymos want this forum to become an open forum that's why trust system is unmoderated.

Everyone should read the forum rules and features in meta during there first visit so that they will inform on how  forum works especially the trust system function. No one will be scam if everyone read the Do's and Don't here. The problem was most of the newbie are too careless on dealing here.
3889  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Website for creating graphics for Bitcointalk on: November 03, 2020, 03:22:59 PM
Most of the professional designer here are using Adobe Photos hop and based on what I see on there design especially on Jayce work, He has no templates on all the ANN thread that he created since the design varies based on the client preferences, It's impossible to have a template for a different client.

I'm interested on what kind of ANN thread you want to create? For starters, You can just grab pics on the website of the project that you want using snipping tool or ask for the image file to the owner of the website then upload it on imgur and used BBCode for that image to create an ANN thread. It will save you a lot of time to think of design while the website already have a design.
3890  Economy / Reputation / Re: Complain about negative feedback on: November 03, 2020, 02:01:51 PM
Although I found this kind of account as spammy, still the negative feedback is not appropriate for posting bounty report, I remember this issue was already tackled by theymos before when lots of user received negative feedback due to low quality post/spamming from different DT.

Most of the Bounty campaign manager in the Altcoin Section nowadays are too irresponsible for leaving the bounty thread unlock after they finish the campaign that result on too many spam report already.  Negative feedback should not be use for threatening other user. Roll Eyes

3891  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for a Bounty Manager on: November 03, 2020, 10:31:56 AM
So far, Hhampuz and Yahoo are the best campaign manager in this forum since they are the most experienced and professional on this business. I don't know about other campaign manager performance since I don't have any experience on joining with them, but If you want smooth and hassle free campaign management experience, I highly recommend that 2 user I mention above.

I will give you my right eye ball if you prove that I'm wrong on my recommendation.  Wink

3892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: DOGE PONZI GAME on: November 03, 2020, 09:23:01 AM
This a blatantly Ponzi and not different to normal Ponzi. Stating it that it was Ponzi doesn't mean you are safe for operating an illegal while your method is an illegal? Doesn't make sense at all. And the reason why Ponzi is very dangerous is because the operator can run all the funds that deposit to there wallet. So technically speaking, it's normal that an operator will get the money from other people to pay other people investment, This is same principle in trading.
3893  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Crash games, promotions on: November 03, 2020, 07:30:28 AM
I'm gonna be honest to you. You should hire a professional UI/UX designer for your website. The picture that you used for background looks like some random pics that you grabbed on Google, it was stretch and pixelize which is very low quality, You should improve on that part.

And also you post too much coin name and exchange which are nothing to do about you game. I believe you are using there name to increase your website reputation. The game itself is the typical crash game software too.
3894  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Price predictions for Bitcoin over the coming years. on: November 02, 2020, 03:58:06 PM
The problem on this kind of Prediction shit was you can't get a quality data because most of the comment here is biased. Why we need to predict the price if no one can give the right prediction in reality. Anyone can predict any insane figure but it can't affect the future price, If you want to get the pulse of the bitcoin user about the future price, Just create a poll and not a discussion thread for prediction so that you can easily collect data rather than check the post individually.
3895  Economy / Reputation / Re: Suspicious Signature campaign Hex.com on: November 02, 2020, 12:55:27 PM
Is the HEX in this image? If HEX team use 10 BTC to run campaign it will be a long campaign.

Andreas Antonopoulos: Hex Team Offered Me 10 BTC to Speak Well of Their Token

Quote
Andreas Antonopoulos says he was offered 10 BTC for an interview with the objective to show that Hex is not a scam. The alleged offer comes as Hex proponents battle persistent Ponzi allegations. Antonopolous, an influential cryptocurrency advocate, also reveals the offer was on condition he does not disclose this inducement.
Yeah, They are the real HEX, HEX become trending 6 months ago by promising a ponzi like to return to token holder. They hire many influencer to pump there coin just like what they did on the screenshot that they provide. Most of the project is not interested on promoting in the forum due to low efficiency of bounty program here. I said this because I saw it on one of the AMA of the team when topic is about marketing.
3896  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase vs Binance on: November 01, 2020, 01:10:47 AM
Coinbase is now accepting many tokens even the hype tokens only unlike before that they are very strict on listing. They can compete now to Binance since they have a lot of token to offer on there user and also they already get the majority of US user so they have the advantage for being a first license exchange. They will just co-exist unless coinbase can't follow the marketing phase of Binance like launching contests ang giveaways.

3899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin reach $20k fee will be huge? on: October 30, 2020, 01:59:15 AM
As long as Bitcoin increases, the volume will increase as a consequence. With the increase in volume, the number of transactions will rise and transactions that are not approved on the network will accumulate. Thus, we will have to pay more fees. This means that if bitcoin is 20k, transaction fees will fly out.
It's normal that the transaction fess will increase like what is happening now since the  transactions of many users who might  buy more or trade it often will increase too, it might be more expensive than it was in 2017 ATH if it will reach 20k dollar as there are new and many traders now,it became also more higher in fees when we started to convert that BTC value even in our mind into our own fiat value that make me just watch the market and don't do any transactions till there be a sign that the price will drop.

Quite right, If you have no urgent need of BTC funds, It's advisable to hold the funds until mem pool cleared atleast 50% of the pending transaction. The fee is flying high right now that cost around 281sat per byte for a transaction that requires 2 confirmation and double the price if you want an instant transaction. Blockchain really need to upgrade to faster network. BTC is not convenient to used anymore compared to other currency like LTC that faster, cheaper and convenient to use.

I'm fookin bullish on the TRANSACTION FEE and not on BTC anymore.
