And when their fans complained, the management shut them up by labeling all of them as racists. And look at their performance during Qatar 2022. They were one of the favorites to win the trophy, before getting kicked out of the competition by France. I can also agree with this claim. England is the cradle of football, but the only time they managed to win a trophy in football was back in 1966 when the world cup was played in England and that was after a big controversy in the final with Germany, because it was never confirmed whether their third goal in the final was according to the rules. They never won anything after that, although English clubs have always been good in European club competitions. The unfortunate relegations of the English national team after penalties in many competitions have already become legendary. They still play some of the most entertaining football compared to other teams as they never play defensively which is great football to watch when you play most of the time in attack.This is also the reason why they have not won anything after 1966 because soccer has become a game of strategy from different coaches who after they score a goal they immediately keep the team completely on the defense and that is not beautiful football,England has never done such thing and against any team they have played open football which even people who are not fans of England have enjoyed. Those are really important points to lose, and given how tough some of the remaining fixtures are Arsenal, they are still likely to drop a couple of points imo, but then Man City could also slip too, but the race is now more open than ever, and they'll need Man City to also drop some points if they are to emerge victorious with the league title. There are just 8 games remaining and some of them Arsenal will play in their home which most likely will win these games,the difficult encounters are only against City and Newcastle so if Arsenal manages to beat either of these teams,just one of them,most likely Newcastle they are still strongly favored to win the league title.It is true that they have really screwed up in tonight game against Liverpool as in the second half they were almost nonexistent in the field and they were just defending and waiting for the game to finish,they are lucky to come out with 1 point from this game as if Liverpool had been a bit more pragmatic in front of the goal they would have won the game. |
