According to some recent news Mercedes and Hamilton sat at the table to discuss terms about a new contract. If I'm not mistaken this is his last year at Mercedes. But it doesn't seem like he is getting the 8th world championship in his career now. Mercedes are way behind Red Bull now so there is really no way to do it. But Hamilton can still stay longer to give another chance to Mercedes for improving more.

Mercedes knows that Hamilton is currently a good driver for their car, maybe until now they have not found a potential driver to drive their car. Moreover, even though Hamilton is quite old, his performance is not far behind compared to young drivers, even though until now he has not been able to keep up with Verstappen, but his performance is still stable in 4th place now and that might be a consideration for Mercedes. Finally we are again in race week,I was expecting impatiently the Imola race as that is a legendary track,very technical so I was expecting a lot of happenings there when I saw the news that made us all F1 fans sad that the GP was cancelled due to flooding last week.I doubt we will see a Monaco race cancelled as this is most of the time a boring race but it is one of the richest places and just a bit of rain would make this race as beautiful as last year,I only hope that Ferrari team management does not screw up the drivers with their not so well thought race strategies.

So the biggest surprise of the week was left for the last game of this penultimate week of the Premier League season.Who would have imagined that Newcastle would not score a single goal despite dominating the game with 23 shots and 12 corner kicks while Leicester City was just non existent in this game as they had 0 shots and they just suffered Newcastle erratic attacks which clearly shows that Newcastle is tired,this point for them though would somewhat secure the Champions League but I am pretty sure they have screwed a lot of bettors tonight including my AH -1.5 bet as I thought there would be goals,so did the bookies putting Over 3 goals at 1.55,no one expected this result.

Mainz and Köln both have nothing to play for going into the final game of the season, for Bayern and Dortmund on the other hand, it is a must win situation for both clubs. Bayern have a superior goal difference so if they win and Dortmund fail to pick all three points and the Bavarians win they would clinch their 11th Bundesliga title. But if Dortmund win, they are going ti be crowned champions for the first time since when Klopp was in charge.

My performance in the pool has dropped down very much on the recent weeks. My target was to finish the pool in top 5 a few weeks ago. Now I will be very happy if I manage to finish in top 10. I was thinking that there would be many more goals in the Manchester City-Chelsea match today.
