41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRON’s Effort at Cryptocurrency Domination Sees Steemit Partnership on: February 18, 2020, 03:00:19 PM
Is steemit really need this partnership?
Probably, there's no other reason why they would partner with tron. I haven't really heard much about steem for a long time and I guess they're kind of losing steam. Bounty0x may have gotten the better portion of their market. I'm not sure sure how current investors would see this move though, migrating from a coin to becoming just another tron token doesn't look appealing to me  Cheesy
42  Other / Meta / Re: There is any problem if anyone make any post on behalf of banned user? on: February 18, 2020, 02:21:07 PM
So, In this case is there any problem can happen with your account? Is there any rules about this case?
There is no specific rule for this. There are some accounts here that are paid to post ANNs or Bounty threads. They just put a disclaimer at the end saying they're only posting on behalf of that project BUT they're not part of the team. I don't see them having issues so that must mean it's allowed. I think that is also similar with your case posting on behalf of Hhampuz.
43  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: LOW CIRCULATION COMPARE TO TOTAL SUPPLY. on: February 18, 2020, 01:54:02 PM
Why then do projects have a large portion of their token locked up with little number in circulation. How then do we bring in people into the system.
When I check a team's telegram group, one of the things I usually notice is investors asking for team token's locked up periods. They are always wary that the team would suddenly dump their tokens and their investment would lose value. That's one reason why we see all these projects with premined tokens have lock ups.

Why not conduct activities to get more people and also pay more instead of burning to reducing the quantity. it will not achieve any meaning.
What exactly do you mean by getting more people and pay? Are you referring to more investors?
44  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 18, 2020, 01:19:00 PM
I'm 100% sure that on this event we will see Khabib in octagon, but this time as a part of Zubaira Tukhugovs team, as they are the best friends and training partners.
Something tells me that this isn't going to end up well for Zubaira. Khabib could add more unnecessary pressure instead of inspiring him during the fight.

Don't really know the fighters from that card
Neither do I. This are what fight nights are for, to make these lesser known fighters more popular and maybe future UFC cash cows Cheesy but kidding aside, there are only a few people who really follows up and coming fighters.

I'm not gonna make any prediction on this card other than what I already said about Zubara. I'm not gonna bet either.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for legitimate airdrop / giveaway on: February 18, 2020, 12:51:27 PM
Subscribe to telegram and twitter accounts of popular airdrop platforms then look for them. I'm pretty sure you can easily tell which of the airdrops listed are already on exchanges. Airdrop alert was already mentioned but if you want more, you can also check other sites like this one https://www.airdropbob.com

There are plenty more if you just spend five minutes searching over google. Don't be lazy and expect to be spoon-fed.

46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some ridiculous suspicious projects with zero value! on: February 17, 2020, 04:23:21 PM
Judging by how the OP made this post, he sounded like a disgruntled bounty hunter who is only interested in the increase in price or in having a new exchange. Am I wrong? I can assume that the updates you're asking were 'when moon?', 'when new exchange?' types of questions. Any decent admin wouldn't give you a specific answer since those information are outside of their control.

No update,  no new exchange but admins are replying you!
If you're sincere about the project's development, you should have seen this https://medium.com/@wppcoin/wpp-marine-and-product-rollut-update-74ecb72511ea

47  Other / Meta / Re: Boring Arguments Section Room on: February 17, 2020, 02:27:32 PM
How about a separate board for DT members dirt wars? Some of them are just digging out each others dirt anyway. Maybe a DT trust abuse sub board would also be good. I doubt any of the two will be granted but I think it's more specific than the boring arguments room. No offense to you OP Cheesy
48  Other / Meta / Re: Could we add the BUMP feature to the Beginners & Help section? on: February 17, 2020, 02:13:04 PM
OP can modify and set up search parameters, and make request to search for topics of interests in some boards.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=search
At the section: Choose a board to search in, or search all.

By default, all boards will be targets of the forum search engine. Let's click at "Check all" at the bottom to uncheck all boards. After that, type "Beginners & Help", for example, to find where the board is listed in the list. Next, check at the checkbox of Beginners & Help board. Finally, click on "Search" to find what you want in the Beginners & Help board.

Alternatively, anyone can just go to the beginner's section, use the search bar and just type on the topics s/he looking at. It works pretty much the same without going through the hassle of checking boxes.

I'm not even sure why we're sharing this since I believe OP is aware of those information. I guess it's for the newbie readers but the topic has been transferred to Meta so......

49  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchange managed to lose 7000- 13000 BTC in Non Payment?(BTC downtrend reason?) on: February 17, 2020, 01:54:04 PM
Such bs story, he should have gone straight to the point without being overly dramatic to look pitiful. They were unprepared and undermanned from the very start and rushed the launching of their platform. This is what happens when you chase them profits. Greed made them continue despite knowing the mining issues early on.
50  Other / Meta / Re: Could we add the BUMP feature to the Beginners & Help section? on: February 17, 2020, 01:13:51 PM
OP just wants to read really useful informations and I understand why he's finding it difficult to search for technical topics in the beginner's section. There are times when the first and second pages are overloaded with scam-fake giveaways-phishing warnings, merit giveaways, and rank up or close to ranking up stories. The section looks to have improved now though with more technical guides or discussion.

@OP if you want to look for a topic that you want to read, you can still use the forum search tab. Bookmark or save them for later reading.

51  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 16, 2020, 05:49:57 PM
This is what happens when you start thinking about fighting Jon Jones while your opponent is focused on beating you.
This! It's what I was imagining when I said he shouldn't take his eyes off his opponent. He completely underestimated Jan Blachowicz's this time and kept moving forward. He must be thinking of finishing his opponent quickly to make a statement while Jon Jones is in attendance. He ate that big right hand and went on to dream about fighting Jones.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Any Wave decentralized Exchange on: February 16, 2020, 05:14:17 PM
Other than the https://waves.exchange, I have no idea if there are more. It looks like you are not yet aware that they've abandoned the https://dex.wavesplatform.com/ site that's why you are looking for another waves dex. Best of luck in selling your tokens there, they may have added new features but it looks like volume hasn't changed at all  Cheesy
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First petition to lift CryptoCurrency Ban in Pakistan- your suggestions needed on: February 16, 2020, 05:10:26 PM
I looked at your post history and saw that you have been fighting for the unbanning of cryptocurerncy in Pakistan. I suggest you lock this thread and update the first petition thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5202352). I don't know how your system of government works but you will probably need support from a politician and from your local community. It is great that your high court has responded to your petition and required the central bank and another agency to respond but I think the best way to deal with this is through legislation.
54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright Potential Lawsuit to Bitcoin on: February 16, 2020, 04:38:16 PM
He is just making another noice to stay relevant. Instead of threatening bitcoin and its other fellow fork coin, he should just worry about his own ongoing case. He can't even prove that he is the real Satoshi. I would rather ignore whatever he says. Besides, how many times does he have to make a threat? I'm guessing even roger ver is laughing right now with craig's latest.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BLAME THE INVESTOR FOR LOOSING NOT THE CRYPTO ECOSYSTEM on: February 15, 2020, 04:12:29 PM
You should probably change the title of the topic into something that's more fitting to your post. I'm not sure what you are trying to imply with not blaming the crypto ecosystem. Yes, it is just right to blame the lazy investors in loosing their money from their ignorance and their greed but let's not excuse the scammers who keeps targeting newbies in the space like what you said here

I believed if people can spend more time in doing this, the scams and looting in the crypto system may reduce. UNLESS Such person wants to gamble with his funds scam projects are also means to make quick money if you are lucky enough to follow up. If Not you will Loose.
It's like you're suggesting that it's okay to get involve in scam projects as long as you are quick to get out. If not, it's your fault.
56  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: LOCKED TOKENS RECEIVED FROM BOUNITES on: February 15, 2020, 03:53:39 PM
I know this section is for asking help but you have been around bounties for so long that you are supposed to know where is the best place to ask or research. I echo what rhomelmabini said about wanting to be spoonfed and also that of sujonali1819 about mentioning the project or the tokens instead of us making guesses here. Don't expect us to know more than the token holder.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin season, scam altcoin projects will appear. Check their Githubs first on: February 15, 2020, 01:58:20 PM
  • Buying and trading them on newborn exchanges potentially put your fund at risks (when exchanges made scam exits).
Not only funds but also personal information. Many new exchanges where new coins are listed also require KYC now.

Quote
Don't invest in coins that have Github accounts were very lately created. I don't judge all of them are scammers or bad developers but if you don't afford to lose your capital, don't invest in such newborn projects with newly-created Github accounts.
Some of them don't even github. Even if they, some are closed for review.

For newbies, github is usually the last place they would check and most of them probably don't understand what is it for.

You know it's that time again when you see a lot of these new projects come out of nowhere. They will just mint their tokens on ethereum blockchain, create a new website, whitepaper that's most likely plagiarized and they're all set Cheesy
58  Other / Meta / Re: fraudulent user hijacking my account on: February 15, 2020, 01:41:22 PM
The account you claimed as yours but hacked or stolen wasn't banned so you are still allowed to post anywhere else as long as you don't violate any forum rules. It would be a different story if the geekbasic account was banned. In case you were able to prove ownership and recover that account, you have to asked cryptodevil to remove the red tag.

59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facts about bounties on: February 15, 2020, 01:25:43 PM
Here's another fact about bounties, many will pull a trick at the end of the campaign or before distribution. A lot of them would require KYC verification nowadays and will tell you it's all about compliance or that it's too avoid cheaters. The fact is that they are the one cheating bounty hunters. They just want to attract as many hunters at the beginning that's why they never mention KYC but they never planned on paying everyone who worked.

2. Bounties are still Profitable
Maybe 1 out of 100 bounties are profitable.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About Privacy Coins on: February 14, 2020, 04:40:45 PM
The last time I read anything about veil was that they were looking for a patch or an alternative privacy protocol to zerocoin when a vulnerability was found out. What's the update on that? Did the developers found a solution?

Well, Dash does a great job at advertising itself as privacy coin, but it should not be in the list. I won't say more because I would go off topic.
Grin, on the other hand, IS interesting and it could be soon quite a competitor for Monero.
I'm not sure about going off-topic since this thread is about privacy coins. I also wouldn't consider Dash as a contender here. If I am not mistaken, the privacy feature is only optional.

When the FATF travel rule came out, the team released some statements that I think any privacy coin enthusiast wouldn't like.
