Pardon me but, in advertising epoch talk, are we encouraging other people to create more forums other than the two that are already testing it? Don't we have enough technical people here who would test the two existing platforms.

my guess is that Weidam will use his wrestling skills to control the fight and if he is able to do that he will win, other than that it is impossible .
Weidman is a good striker back in his prime. Reyes, on the other hand, is hard to take down and he has been knocking people out as well. Taking him on the ground may be a better strategy for Weidman but I think both fighters  will try to knock each other out.

Luol Deng was another case of a player who failed to evolve as age catches up on him. Careers of players who rely so much on their quickness or explosiveness will not last long. Chicago was kind enough to let him retire peacefully. I hope he got smart with the money he got from playing and not end up broke with life after NBA.

Here's a funny one.  It's the highlight of Weidman's career (it's been downhill after)
Yes, it's the highlight of his career because it was Anderson Silva whom he defeated. It wasn't exactly downhill after that since he defended the title a few times. It was his defeat to Luke Rockhold that started his downfall. It was probably hard for him to recover from his first loss in MMA.

Talking about signing new contracts, Bradley Beal agrees to sign a 4-year 130M deal with the Washington Wizards. That's another big money for a player. This is the current trend for most players now, get paid well in your best years so that it's okay to get minimum when you want to chase a ring and join a championship team.

I think those guides are not meant to teach newbies to chase for merits but to teach them how to become better poster. If you happen to learn more about crypto, blockchain, or other topics discussed in this forum through those guides, your posting behavior will naturally change.

showed deep lack of understanding for distance and fighting instinct.
Maybe he was too relaxed at the start of the fight and wasn't expecting Jorge to be that aggressive immediately after the match started.

I don't know if it was part of the plan to wait for Ben to come to the center of the octagon first before launching that flying knee like a rocket.
488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Companies Competing to Create Crypto's FATF Solution on: October 15, 2019, 05:56:49 PM
It's just how it is. If there is a problem that needs to be solved, some company will try to fulfill that need.

In this case, the FATF compliance is the problem by most exchanges and companies like Ciphertrace is looking to take the lead in providing solution for these exchanges.

Binance had already started the move to comply by collaborating with a company called Coinfirm https://cointelegraph.com/news/binance-integrates-coinfirms-aml-platform-to-comply-with-fatf-rules

It will be interesting to see how these companies compete and say "we have the better compliance procedure"
489  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Halving and price History Analysis on Chart on: October 15, 2019, 05:35:05 PM
I created a post a few days ago on Halving and price but that was not backed by figures. So here is a chart which shows a similar analysis with proper figures and timeline.
Where is that post? and why not just edit it instead of creating a new one?

I'll probably be watching the film a month or two after it's release if it won't cost me a cent or sat.

They should rename their documentary title, i was thinking it's made by "Cryptopia" exchange Tongue

Savers are Losers - This is one of the things I learned as I read the book. I will share a bit of my experience regarding money. To be honest, I don't store my money in the banks and I don't have a bank account. I only have a savings account so that if I need money, I can withdraw it thru bank and for me that is the sole purpose of banks - for withdrawal purposes.
Tell me how can you start a business kung wala kang savings?  Bilang nagsimula sa wala, syempre mag-iipon ka muna.  Then kapag nakaipon ka na saka magsetup ng negosyo kung ano ang gusto mo or mga profitable ventures.
OP's context is important here. "Savers" are obviously referred to as people who just save and let their money sleep in the bank with meager interest. Not the people who are saving to invest.

And to think that they even offer IEO services to new projects. I would not be surprised if someday we hear that they fake the token sale figures as well just like the accusations against IDAX before.
I enjoyed trading on IDAX, I was worried about the issue that IDAX cheated the CMA and XCT projects a few months ago.
The team reported losing 10 BTC, and finally the CMA and XCT list were there and the problem was solved.
there is no problem with IDAX.

If there is no problem with idax, these scam threads or accusations would not have surfaced in the first place  Roll Eyes

We don't know for sure but they (accusers) may have been offered something by idax that is too good to resist like free listing. It doesn't change the fact that there have been volume manipulation.

Can we say that this is a good development, nonetheless?

Good development for blockchain technology? Yes.
Good development for cryptocurrency? No.

I think the best people to ask that question are the army of XRP. They have been advertising that coin as the cryptocurrency to be used by banks. Let's hear what they have to say now.
498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH blockchain based decentralised exchange on: October 08, 2019, 03:14:43 AM
This means if someone hacks my funds and trades through this exchange whom to I ask?

Consider trading on decentralized exchange as you trading directly with another person. No one else will hold your funds, it's just you and the person you are trading with. That's as simple as I can explain how a DEX operates.

It's not as scary as you think. Be more responsible with your funds so you won't have to ask someone else to recover it.

Sacramento Kings Launches Blockchain Token for Its Predictive Gaming App

The Sacramento Kings NBA basketball team is launching a blockchain-powered rewards program within its gaming app.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/sacramento-kings-launches-blockchain-token-for-its-predictive-gaming-app

This is actually nice even if the tokens cannot be traded. Kings' fans can still enjoy the thrill of playing with the possibility of winning tickets to watch a live match and some other stuffs.

Quote
While enrollment in the program is free, the rewards can be redeemed for prizes and unique events such as signed merchandise and courtside tickets. The Kings noted that the tokens have no monetary value and cannot be transferred.

I wasn't aware that the franchise has been accepting BTC and also involve in mining.
