I was laughing when I read that "cryptor" or "cryptoer". Thanks Cheesy

That sounds bad to be honest but who knows what future crypto enthusiasts call themselves in the next two or more decades?

I'm happy with bitcoiners, altcoiners, no coiners, shitcoiners, bitcoin maximalist, altcoin maximalist, or even hodlers and dumpers.

Anyone here visited the Philippine Arena? Its Humongous! Its the first time an opening ceremony was held indoor, usually its outdoor.
Yeah, I've been to the Philippine arena twice and it's really huge! Some people are sharing facebook photos of the preparations for the opening ceremony and from that, I can say that the event organizers are really doing well. Kudos also to the government for not under spending and for the continuous support to our athletes.

I would feel proud to play in a newly built and top class stadium if I am an athlete. Go team PH!!!
385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 22, 2019, 01:04:26 PM
  • His 40 pt triple double against the Spurs I think is the 2nd time that a 20 yr old has made and the first who did it? His Idol LBJ
  • He and KAT are the only players in the past 15 seasons with 20 pts, 5 reb and 5 assist in a single quarter. Source
  • He is the first player to outscore, outrebound and out-assist a team in a quarter since Allen Iverson on Feb. 19, 2003 against the Bulls. Source
I just read that he is also the fifth player in the NBA history to average a 30 point triple double in a span of ten games. The other four were Michael Jordan, Lebron James, Russel Westbrook, and Oscar Robertson. What an accomplishment already in his very young career. Let's hope his team can back him up to win a chip in the next five years.

Come on guys, Medium is not so bad at all. Yes, forum has a different features but some Medium post can be useful. Especially if the writer is good one.
I think the point is that why does the OP has to redirect readers to another place when we can all discuss it all here.

Medium is not that bad but when you are already in a forum like bitcointalk, you do not need to use another site before the readers can understand what you are talking about.Simply put it all here.

Personally, I hate having to open another tab just to increase another blog's viewership.

387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Focus game: EPL, matchweek 13, Man City VS Chelsea on: November 21, 2019, 06:11:08 PM
Both teams are definitely capable of scoring a lot of goals but I think Chelsea will try to tighten up their defense for this match and will look to score in a counter attack. Since Silva is also suspended, I may go for a draw or a 1-0 Chelsea win.
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good trading volume doesn't mean a token is good on: November 21, 2019, 05:37:40 PM
About the use case, many traders here don't really care much about real use case of a token or a coin. Those who say volume is an indicator that a project is legit probably haven't read the project's whitepaper. That may sound rude or harsh but let us all be honest here.

389  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: [DISKUSYON] PayaCoin x Payasian SCAM o LEGIT on: November 21, 2019, 05:16:33 PM

Iam just feeding ideas info based from social media.

I am just feeding ideas o info from social media? Good attempt for a low key shill but it's not gonna work

390  Other / Meta / Re: The inclusion of large, unnecessary images in threads. Opinions? on: November 21, 2019, 04:58:53 PM
However, I have been (successfully) reporting several members who felt the need to quote the entire post - giant image included - in their reply.
Were your reports marked as good, bad, or unhandled?
391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 21, 2019, 04:30:24 PM
This is a bit of an old news but I'm surprised no one has talked about Pau Gasol being waived by the Blazers. The reason was that he's recovery from surgery seems to be longer than expected. They are currently looking at a possibility of giving him a coaching role instead while recovering in Portland.

It's probably a good call by the team and for Pau to retire. He's already accomplished a lot when he was a Laker.
392  Other / Meta / Re: default sorting in the altcoin announcement forum on: November 20, 2019, 03:12:45 PM
This should be a topic for the Meta board

To answer your question, there have been changes in some boards, including the altcoin announcement, since some bitcointalk marketers have been spamming them by creating newbie accounts to bump threads of their clients. Many users have been complaining about this for a long time and I am also glad that when this change was introduced.

Read all about it here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5183553.0

From the title itself "unnecessary", it should be annoying  Cheesy

I do not really mind if it is just one image, it is placed below the post, and the content is really good. I agree with what others have said though that it is more annoying to see a lot of users quoting that same post, including the image.
394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jose Mourinho next Job? on: November 20, 2019, 12:58:07 PM
He said he would bring his double bus to Tottenham, to strengthen their defense. Grin
I cannot wait for Spurs fans, who got used to an attacking kind of football for five years, react to the parking of the bus that Mou is known for Cheesy
To be honest, I did not expect Spurs board to immediately hire a new manager. Now I wonder if they will give him the money to freshen up the squad.
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Showcase your exciting new ERC20 Project on: November 20, 2019, 12:38:50 PM
Before asking any project to list on your exchange, you should at least give these teams an idea on what your exchange is all about. Do you even plan on creating an Announcement thread here? If so, you can post it on this board https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=223.0

I suggest that you also buy a copper membership so you can post images and make your thread presentation better. Here's how https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote

397  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best place to start learning about crypto? on: November 19, 2019, 03:07:36 PM
It seems pretty daunting sometimes, so much to cover..
It is daunting because you try to cover a lot of topics in a short time. You cannot do that and I believe no one has mastered everything when it comes to trading. That is also why you see different types of traders. They excel using their own set of indicators. If you read some books, they would even admit that they suck using many indicators.

With that said, I guess you have to determine first what kind of a trader you want to be. To achieve that, you may have to do a lot of trial and errors. Experience is still the best teacher.
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Question] The First Digital Currency You Can Mine On Your Phone on: November 19, 2019, 02:54:54 PM
This is why you don't entertain random messages on social media  Cheesy Cheesy

That "overtake bitcoin" or some would say "bitcoin killer" is a dead marketing slogan. Those new projects who claims that they can do that will most likely die in the next two years or so.

Other than what's already mentioned as the pioneer in mobile mining, there's also this bitwings who claims to mine eth using mobile phone.

399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Deflationary model failed? on: November 19, 2019, 02:41:49 PM
The idea was very unique, then why they are not making a success? What can be the reason guys?
It wasn't unique. Before all these tokens came out and started the hype, a project called Equal started this deflationary token model. If I am not mistaken, Bomb just increase the rate per transaction and probably have a better marketing team. When other devs saw the instant success, they immediately copied the concept and made some tweaks to make it their own.

It was only a matter of time before the hype fizzle out and I'm glad it happened sooner than I expected. You see, a lot of these projects are just focusing on the demand and supply. The assumption is that the lesser the supply, the demand and price will increase but there's a problem, they are not Bitcoin. They're not the first crypto, they don't have the first move advantage, and they probably do not have anything else to offer other than being a deflationary token.
400  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Subj: Governs are coming for the traders! on: November 19, 2019, 02:25:24 PM
In your story, the Romanian government is investigating those accounts with questionable deposits and I assume that those are fiat deposits . My question is, are the gains on trading bitcoin still taxable even if they're not yet converted into fiat? I think that is one thing that should be clarified.

Another question, is the new law retroactive?
