221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Community calls out Charlie Lee on: January 03, 2020, 02:16:18 PM
I think some important information are missing in your post. What does he have to pay at a 1:1 ratio? Is there a promise of LTC buyback or what? This is probably what happens when you try to cut the article and force some people to click on that link so the OP can get paid.

I don't quote a full post often but I'll do it this time just for reference.
After Litecoin founder Charlie Lee pledged to make a push towards improved privacy in 2019, it appears that development towards this goal is now well underway as development funding picks up steam.

The new development plans to implement the MimbleWimble protocol on Litecoin, allowing users to selectively opt-in to privacy-preserving confidential transactions.

Full News Here

I do think that once stated and called out a person should do what he was meant at first place.

Charlie Lee stated that he would pay 1:1 but he's shouting out to the Community that he won't pay all of it.

It makes sense they are angry at him and asking him to pay all at once else it might die.

Are you by the Communities side or you think Charlie Lee did the right call?

Change the title to "Simple Guide for bounty hunters on Bitcointalk" since they are your target audience in your post. You could also add the "read the forum rules" there instead of just explore. It's a good effort but I doubt if bounty hunters would bother reading this. Most of them just visit the Altcoin discussion and Bounties (Altcoins) boards.

223  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: IRAN Top Commander died on US Airstrike will it affect Crypto market? on: January 03, 2020, 01:33:51 PM

225  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Password changed/Woke up.
226  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [BUSTED] A new type of scam has arrived. on: January 03, 2020, 11:37:14 AM
The method sounds familiar to me but I cannot remember where I read it first. It is also similar to the way scammers trick random people about winning in a lottery but they have to pay a "fee" first before they can claim their winnings. Whether gambling site or lottery, crypto or fiat, these scammers will always try to exploit the ignorance and the greediness of some gullible people. I'm hoping we see less scammed stories this year

227  Economy / Services / Re: [DESIGN] In Return to Nothing on: January 03, 2020, 11:04:59 AM
I really love the idea. I just checked the "hats" and had thousands of ideas on what they can be replaced with.
I am currently wearing an avatar for a paid campaign but I would still like to see what you can do with the hats. Maybe you can start off with a bitcoin logo. I do not have any specific color so just play with it. You shouldn't have an issue posting images since you are a Junior member now.
228  Local / Pilipinas / Re: "Development" and "Improvement" of the Society: Discussion about Blockchain. on: January 02, 2020, 04:01:39 PM
The thing you'll gonna do is to adopt the use of cryptocurrency sa bansa natin.
229  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Madalas mo bang gamitin ang report button? Mayroong gabay upang makapag-report on: January 02, 2020, 03:44:22 PM
Masyadong mahaba yung post.

Quote
You have reported 201 posts with 99% accuracy (198 good, 2 bad, 1 unhandled)

For the second round, you can also do a Bitcoin price prediction contest for the month of January. Siguro three days lang open ang submission and set some rules.

1. Must be active since last month. "Active" means may mga maayos na post at spread throughout the month (hindi yung mga one day active lang).
2. Set a minimum rank (Kadalasan member rank pataas).
3. Pwede din siguro lagyan ng minimum merit

You can add more if you wish.
232  Economy / Reputation / Re: Outdated token, Escrow faking - Telegram awareness on: January 01, 2020, 06:23:01 PM
Does anyone know how to report a user in Telegram? I think it can be done coz I have good business relationship with a user who was labeled as scammer by telegram and his texts always come with the below warning. (According to him, he deals with different betting sites and someone reported his account so TG flagged his account with this warning)
Telegram encourages anyone to report users who are pretending to be someone else to scam. They can be reported to @NoToScam (look for it on telegram FAQ )

In both cases, the scammer is basically impersonating the escrow on telegram. They are building trust until the lender brings his or her guard then they will execute their dirty trick.
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The reason why you need to store your money in your hands! on: January 01, 2020, 04:41:54 PM
This is probably an unpopular opinion here.

I actually support the move of freezing accounts with BTC's coming from suspected illegal sources. There was an instance when Binance freezed an account because it belongs to a hacker. During that time, everyone's praising Binance for doing their responsibility in fighting hacks. I don't remember anyone rasing concern about a centralized exchange blocking a users fund.
234  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: {Warning}:Chrome extension caught stealing crypto-wallet private keys on: January 01, 2020, 03:51:46 PM
Not a good news to start the year  Undecided

What a name for a wallet and this bust tells us that it is indeed a shitcoin wallet.

Here is another important thing to note in the article
Scans with VirusTotal, a website that aggregates the virus scanning engines of several antivirus software makers, show both files as clean.

I understand that scanning with VirusTotal is a good step to detect malwares but when you see new wallets like this come out of nowhere, it is better to just wait for credible reviews before trying it out.

235  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Merit Giveaway- (2020) improvement/changes on: December 31, 2019, 06:33:04 AM

237  Local / Pilipinas / Re: "Development" and "Improvement" of the Society: Discussion about Blockchain. on: December 30, 2019, 02:55:58 PM
~snip~

We are probably at the advocating stage already.
https://bitpinas.com/news/philippines-senators-task-force-study-fintech-digital-assets/
https://senate.gov.ph/lis/bill_res.aspx?congress=18&q=SBN-1041

I don't think the Congress will make crypto or blockchain illegal sa bansa natin.
238  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Your biggest achievement in 2019 with BITCOIN! on: December 30, 2019, 02:34:18 PM
Alin ang dapat na gamitin? on: December 29, 2019, 07:31:27 PM
I've just switched to using Brave yesterday and I was bummed a bit when I found out that KYC is needed to encash BAT. Plus I'm not being given ads to watch to earn the BAT even after I've enabled Rewards. Is it not available for the country? Or I need to have an Uphold account first before I can start seeing them?
You can follow the discussion here or you can skip the other pages and go straight here for the added countries.

240  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New experience about posting behaviour on: December 29, 2019, 06:46:58 PM
It's a signature campaign, it is expected that most participants will be looking to meet the minimum weekly requirement but that doesn't necessarily mean that they are not posting for the forum. I agree with what others said that if all 25 are quality posts, there should be no issue.

If your campaign has a 25 posts per week minimum requirement, you can add another note in the rules like "preferably an active poster with 30 posts per week on average". That's going to make the selection process easier and you will most likely get participants who will make extra post(s).
