41  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: September 26, 2023, 08:49:19 PM
So, it's better to keep our kiddos away from gambling and let them focus on their studies, else it'd actually ruin everything for the whole family if the kid takes the wrong path.

I understand your perspective. From my observation in our local community, many adolescents play cards after seeing their parents or guardians play. Some even start playing before reaching adolescence. Children often imitate adults, so setting a good example and discouraging negative behaviors like gambling is important.

That's true. I've seen various kids that came in my contact (some were my sister's kids, some were my brother's) and they were like, "Uncle, let's play rummy". I was shocked hearing that and asked my siblings what the hell was that. They said that they usually play different card games on weekends with their kids for fun. I couldn't believe that they were actually teaching their kids about cards without thinking that it'll have wrong impact on their brains and they'll also start playing the same on their smartphones (as they now know what is rummy and they saw some adverts that ask you to play there).
42  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mixin Network hacked - $200 Million lost on: September 26, 2023, 08:36:53 PM
So a decentralised network got attacked because it was working on a centralised server if I'm not wrong?
Is there a possibility for the hackers to be traced and these $200 million be retrieved by them? Or is it a gone case completely?
I believe that some internal person is definitely involved in this, else how would the hackers be able to know about the wallets and how can they attack directly? Will keep a close watch to know what happens next here.
It's like saving your private keys on telegram that works through your phone number, some day your number gets discontinued due to not having enough recharge done by you and it goes to some other person and he/she just logs into your telegram (unknowingly) and sees what in the saved messages? Your private keys. Think.
43  Local / India / Re: high taxes for two more years on: September 26, 2023, 07:29:11 PM
--snip--
And how much your friend actually paid as tax because recently India passed 28% as tax-deductible from overall winnings, so your friend supposed to pay for the winnings which is 49,99,000INR and 28% of it is around 14,000,000INR.

I won't disclose the amount TBH as I don't want to share such things publicly. However, I can say that he didn't pay even 1/10th of what was passed. Just like exchanges, gambling casinos are also available that don't ask for KYC and pay you in crypto completely which is why, whatever comes under the jurisdiction of some other country has nothing to do with ours (ofcourse it's not called legal but it is what it is). So depositing and taking withdrawals in crypto (even in bank account via our local currency) is possible through some gambling casinos. As I told you, the network I am with has got almost everything covered. Wink
44  Local / India / Re: high taxes for two more years on: September 26, 2023, 11:14:04 AM
As @Stedsm said doing P2P trades outside the exchange can cut 1% TDS and can stay away from 30% capital gains but it only works for small amount even if it's current account cause we need to submit the reports for income tax and we can't hide big trace without getting caught.

Well, TBH I didn't specifically mean it for small amounts only because the people I know in my circle transact at a huge level, and by huge, I mean in crores and not even in lacs. So, it all depends on the channel that you trust and work with. As well, I know a gambler friend who won about 50 lacs with a 1k INR bet (he won max on that bet with a 5000x win), withdrew all his money easily and paid a very small amount of tax. Honestly, there's nobody a saint here and they all are involved as well, so I don't think we are bound to pay these nonsensical taxes on our transactions as if we are committing some crime. Wink
45  Local / India / Re: high taxes for two more years on: September 26, 2023, 08:28:38 AM
Well, TBH I've got ways to save yourself from taxes but I really don't want to share them here as I don't wanna hit myself in the foot. However, one is going via P2P (outside exchanges, be it cash or through bank) but using a current account and showing a business instead of doing it through an individual account. But yeah, remember that this too includes risk as there are leakers (even those who are our closed ones), so it's better to get a reliable partner before getting into this. Don't hesitate to contact me as I have done deals of my friends outside this forum with ease, and everything was smooth always.

We're in the process of building 2FA functionality, should be on the site very soon. In the meantime, we require email 2FA for most actions (logging in, tipping, withdrawing). I'll update you here once it's added!

Are mobile numbers also allowed to be added as a 2FA measure in order to prevent a withdrawal through email hack? I mean dual, stronger security measures till Authenticator 2FA is applicable.

You'll need to complete L1 KYC (which is just entering your name and address) before you can access Evolution games - this is unfortunately a requirement for Evolution. Completing L1 KYC should take one minute max though, so hopefully it's not too big of a blocker.

Not an issue, however I'd like to ask that why such measures are being taken especially for Evolution games?
I've had been playing Evolution games at many different casinos and they never asked me to do KYC (not even name and address as mentioned here). But I'll go for L1 KYC and I hope that there won't be more KYC checks as, TBH, my country restricts gambling and I love gambling (I don't do it too often, but occasionally).
49  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there still hope for the price of BTC to hit back $69k this year? on: September 25, 2023, 10:15:24 PM
Based on what I heard on a podcast from one of the best traders in forex industry, you must keep accumulating a lot when there's not much nuisance (volatility) in the markets. I am talking about the type of volatility we see when everything hikes very high (during the bull run). So, when we hear that there's blood on the streets or that the crypto market is boring and whatnot, but you just need to keep patience and keep buying. I can't say whether BTC will be above $69k or not this year, but yeah you will earn great returns if you make an SIP for your investments and follow the system to invest your money and keep compounding the investment.
50  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for KYC or various collaborations on: September 25, 2023, 10:02:21 PM
Well, honestly speaking that I've never seen people selling their own data for a few measly bucks as their data is worth a lot compared to what they get paid for it. It's actually priceless. And BTW, would you mind me asking what is the noble cause for which you are asking others to help you out with KYC?

TBH, I'd myself advice everyone to refrain from such activities UNLESS AND UNTIL you know exactly that for what purpose will your data be used. Wink
51  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No KYC vs KYC enabled casinos (Facts you need to know) on: September 25, 2023, 09:45:10 PM
Having our KYC done on any casino is dangerous only when our country has restricted gambling there and that's where the no-KYC casinos come into action and help us out to safely play there without the fear of getting our data leaked to our government and then we may even get jailed as if we committed some crime. It's ridiculous to see that despite being a business, gambling industry is demanded a 30% tax (and even more in some countries) by the governments (especially if I talk about my government, if you just deposited on a casino, no matter if you win or lose, you need to pay 30% tax on your entire capital, be it the deposit only or the winnings too which is a shameful act by the government of my country).
52  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: September 22, 2023, 09:27:40 AM
Right now you forbid gambling because of age and support the idea of not gambling in front of kids. But what would be your attitude, if you win a millions? I think you wont hide your happiness, you would shout "YES!" like crazy or something like that, you would change your lifestyle after that. How you gonna explain it your kid? My point is - when we just gamble or lose, than gambling is not for kid, it is illegal, not for your age and etc. But when we win a lot, then "you've said you always wanted alive pink unicorn with giraffe and dinosaurs? here you are, we are rich now, enjoy life, forget about studies".

Dude, thanks a lot as you fulfilled my wish and filled me with joy and happiness as I was literally awaiting for such a response. Now, I've got something to tell you and the whole community.

Let's say for example, a guy is a beggar.
He begs daily and earns more than a software engineer can, each month (and I'm honestly speaking truth because I know some beggars who give a million dollars as a loan each month to people at 5% interest rate). Okay, he's got kids. Now, he still sends his kids to government schools but doesn't compromise with the nurturing part of his kids and grows them up in a very simple manner. Now, his kids become adults and one of them becomes an engineer and the other one becomes doctor based on their skills and capabilities as they managed to get a scholarship and did everything on their own. Now, both earn a lot collectively and always keep asking their father to stop begging but their father says that whatever he did before, he found happiness in it because he was able to grow up his kids through that begging, and now he's doing it for his own happiness because now he's used to it. He says that he earns too much, however he never wanted his sons to become what he had been (a beggar I mean), so he did whatever he can to make his kids reputable so that they could live their life with ultimate respect in the society.

You know what? It totally depends upon your mentality and how you deal with each situation. It's not necessary that even if you win a million dollar today, you'd just ask your kids to enjoy their life as they became rich. What if he gambles away all the money again because of his greed and loses everything? So what I'd do is, I'd simply save 80% of the money that I won, on the name of my kids so that their future is secured. Rest 20% is enough to live a simple yet king sized life with my kids till they grow up, and I'll definitely teach them the value of every cent before they spend it, so that they don't commit any mistake in the future. Especially, I won't ask my kids to gamble ever in any case, even if I win a 100 million dollar lottery. Smiley
53  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN HALVING COUNTDOWN IS ON – WILL CRYPTO PRICES RISE? on: September 21, 2023, 09:14:05 PM
History had always shown us that BTC always got injected with enough money to bring it to its highest, but BEFORE halving took place. I didn't see any moment in my entire crypto journey where BTC got to run higher after halving was done and that's because institutions know very well that people start buying huge chunks of BTC staking their everything just before the halving, and hope that the price will rise. Then these big giants testify the patience of average investors where mostly sell off and move out of the markets, and after few months of halving, BTC skyrockets.  Wink
54  Other / Meta / Re: Fun thought on Bitcointalk having this particular feature. on: September 21, 2023, 09:06:17 PM
Voice translation?
You mean like it's for those who don't like typing or can't type at all? I mean the handicapped people I'm asking about. If yes, then it's really a great initiative in order to let everyone become a part of this forum and express their views openly. However, if it's for those who don't know English and want to first translate their language to English and then write, then I believe that even after trying their best to get their general views be expressed correctly, the translator will definitely make some mistakes and the person who doesn't understand English very well, won't even know where did he go wrong.
55  Economy / Economics / Re: Early Retirement [Pros and Cons] on: September 21, 2023, 08:47:39 PM
TBH, retiring early doesn't mean you should completely stop working and start enjoying only, because then you're not utilising what you have (after early retirement) but only spending it, which means you're not productive anymore and just want to selfishly enjoy your life which will not only make your family suffer in the future once your funds are over but may also reduce the respect that your family had before the retirement. And don't forget that a person who doesn't work in life, is not less than a dead body IMHO so don't stop working. I mean, you can be your own boss then by opening up a new business, trying out new things instead of just thinking that enjoyment is the last stop.
56  Economy / Economics / Re: You can't meet all your needs/desires at once, even if you spend all your salary on: September 21, 2023, 08:10:11 PM
That is human nature, and he can't live a normally satisfied life and the hunger in him will always light up extra fire in his heart to bring in more desire in his life and do even more work to achieve it. Those who don't stop trying, those are the only ones who succeeded and will succeed but the ones who don't try, can never even fail it because they're losers in their thoughts already. It's not about spending the whole salary and not meeting the needs, it's all a matter of mental state where that person decides whether he is satisfied with what he already have, or wants more from his life and will do what it takes to achieve his dreams.
57  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does monitor size affect trading? on: September 21, 2023, 07:31:37 PM
I've seen most of the traders using big (or should I say) longer (width) screens in order to understand the charts and the patterns and spot their trading points. However, there had been successful traders ever since these big monitors were not even available in the markets, so it's just a hoax that you need a big monitor to win in trading. You just need 4 things to get going in trading:

1. Discipline
Always remain disciplined towards trading and don't take it as gambling but a business that can actually earn you lots and lots of money

2. Patience
Even if you are disciplined but can't be patient enough to let your trades make you what you expected from it based on its (possible) true potential, then you're losing a fraction of your possible total earnings you could have made.

3. Self-control
Making money in trading is easy, but you must know when to stop. If you have decided a specific percentage for your daily performance and you have reached it that day, then just leave the desk and enjoy outside.

4. Strategy
Last but not the least, a strategy you can stick to. Because without strategy, you can't win long term.
58  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ Shuffle.com | The next generation of crypto casinos | Sports, Casino + token on: September 21, 2023, 07:15:12 PM
Very unique website with awesome eye-catching colors, I'm thrilled to visit it but yet to create an account.
However, I'd like to know whether I'm going to be KYC'ed at some moment in the future regarding withdrawals or is it a KYC free casino?
And yeah, are the withdrawals going to be fee-free?
I mean, a casino where I recently played, charged me withdrawal fee from my own balance (though they didn't take it, why should I pay the same?)
And the most important question  Grin
Is the $5 promo still going on to try out the casino?
If yes and if it is KYC free (and please tell me the terms required to be followed to withdraw the winnings), I'll register. What is the minimum deposit and withdrawal btw?

Too many questions but I like asking a lot. Wink
Thanks in advance.
59  Economy / Economics / Re: for anyone interested in how much their personal data is worth on: September 21, 2023, 05:51:44 PM
Lol we are being sold for dirt cheap while still holding a valuation that's huge compared to those who don't exist for these data collectors because they collect this data for the sole purpose of throwing their ads in front of us, letting them make hefty commissions out of our purchases. Data business is the world's biggest business and those who speak about privacy, I bet 99% of them don't even know that they're already known to various companies who are targeting them to sell their products, services and even ask for donations (NGOs).
60  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: September 21, 2023, 05:06:37 PM
The question arises for how long will you be able to keep your children away from gambling when you yourself are involved in gambling?

You may convince small Children that these things are not for your age but when they see their father daily spending time on gambling, the curiosity of the child keeps increasing. One day he or she will start playing and there is no way we can stop the children. if we want our children not to gamble, we need to end or limit our own gambling activities.

I don't think you've carefully read my recent comments here, did you?
Else you'd have known that I'm not a constant (or in other words, daily or addicted) gambler who keeps doing it every single day. I do it once in a while and it was literally my bad luck that my daughter saw me doing it, so TBH I shared it with you guys here just so that even an addicted gambler don't do it in front of anybody whom he/she doesn't want to influence and doesn't want them to get into it at all. Wink
